SMU-8115 there wireless internet capabilities

With the help of an SMU-8115 controller in my 1062 q.  I was wondering if it has wireless capabilities?  have not yet received while trying to plan if I needed to implement things differently in our facilities to icorporate a wired connection.

Hello

In general, the controllers do not have Wi - Fi capabilities. Specifically, the SMU-8115 only has one Ethernet port on the front and no built in Wi - Fi capabilities.  In general, this controller is directly connected via the Ethernet connection to the front (see picture below). However, you can use a USB-Wi-Fi antenna (for more information, click here for a google search on "Usb Wi-Fi adapter" ).

I hope this helps.

  • Need help with the wireless internet Power Book G4

Hi-I recently inherited a Power Book G4.  I have problems to connect to wireless internet.  According to the Profiler systems, it has an AirPort Extreme card, but there is no icon on the screen wireless.  Advice to connect would be appreciated!

    Thank you-

    Stephanie

The icon in the menu bar can be hidden or displayed.  The setting is the system network preferences pane.  Where it says display, select AirPort.  There is a checkbox for the State of AirPort show the menu bar.  Since the AirPort icon in the menu bar, you can select the a local wireless network to join.

This pane of system preferences, you can use the more specific configuration settings, although the default settings work often unless you use special parameters with your wireless router.

AirPort Extreme Card maybe for 802.11b and gand not n.  If your wireless network is configured for 802.11n only, you will need to change this setting to allow to 802.11 g (on the wireless router).

  • No wireless internet with Windows XP

    Hello everyone,

I installed Windows XP SP2 on a Toshiba Satellite 300 originally shipped with Vista. I installed the drivers I found on the Web site, including the update of the BIOS that made me screw up everything and me forced to restart from the beginning. There the 2nd time I avoided the update of the BIOS and everything seems to work fine, except that I can not connect to wireless internet.

My suspicion is that I might have missed something. So I would know how you usually do to make a wireless connection. If someone could describe the procedure, it would be a great help.

    Thanks in advance,
    Mario

Have you updated the WLAN driver?
You can find it on the Toshiba site or portal driver WLAN:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

    And you see your router?
You should maybe reboot and disable the security features.

  • Lose the wireless internet connection when it is not active

    Hello
I have an annoying problem. IM losing my connection wireless internet access after a few minutes is not active... Well not according to the 'doctor' program - it shows no signs of a problem.

Looking at the 'LAN' icon, I see he's trying to connect when I ask, for example, an update on the current site, but simply not turn on the blue bar.

The only cure to get online is to update the connection.

    What I'm doing wrong here?

    Thanks in advance... Jens

    Hello Jens

Please check the option sign-out after x... on your router. The sign-out feature is used to disconnect the router from your ISP automatically when there is no activity for a certain period of time. For example, place a check mark next to this option and enter 5 in the minute field will cause the router to disconnect from the Internet after 5 minutes of no activity from the Internet. This option should be used if you pay for your Internet service by the minute.

    Good bye

Airport utility in windows 10 does not detect the hard disk, how to?, the Office detect wireless internet no hard drive.

What hard drive? It of a time capsule, or is it a drive connected to an airport extreme?

What model number is the most convenient airport?

Any plugged into USB drive must be formatted FAT32 (no other type of FAT as exFAT) or HFS +, IE standard Apple format.

In addition, not all drives are recognized.

The internal drive of the TC must be recognized, but there could be problems as well according to the age.

  • HP Pavilion g6 - 2288ca - Wireless internet continually fall

    Hello

Approximately nine to ten months of passes, I bought a laptop HP Pavilion g6 - 2288ca, C2N59UAR product number, Windows 8. Recently I had questions where wireless internet will fall without warning. I have already established that the problem is not with my router or your ISP, so I can only assume that there is a problem with my adapter wireless, either hardware or software-related. Usually, I can connect to my internet at home without any problems. However, as I said, the internet has declined suddenly on my computer when it can be demonstrated to work well on other computers and devices connected to the internet in my house. Now, the thing runs the resolution of problems and you reboot my adapter wireless usually does the trick. Unfortunately, it is often a temporary solution, while the connection is usually immediately after a few minutes. I tried to manually update my drivers, but which seems to have been unsuccessful. In addition, the rate at which it falls seems completely random. Sometimes I'll reset my adapter and it'll work for the next six hours, and sometimes I'll reset and he drops in thirty seconds.

Does anyone have an idea as to what could be causing this? These problems have not appeared until recently, and at this point, I am considering just do a system restore.

    Hello:

If your laptop is unfortunately Ralink wireless adapter, this is a common problem with this card.

You can try to update the driver, but most of the time that it does not help.

  • How to connect to wireless internet?

I just reinstalled WinXP (2002 I think) from my (old) Dell Latitude D610 laptop installation disc.

I did it just to get rid of unnecessary and old programs that I didn't.
I remember I used to be able to connect to wireless internet, but my father, who once used this computer says he thinks that it has deleted the ability (?).
    If I do
Control Panel > network connections >
There is nothing in the record that says wireless or LAN or it is supposed to say
In the lower right corner of the task bar, there is no symbol for it
    If I do
My computer > properties > Device Manager >
There is no network card anywhere, but it has Ethernet controller, network controller, PCI Modem and PCI Simple Communications Controller all with '! ' for their icons.
In addition, there is no switch for the adapter to network/radio outside the computer.
I feel that this computer has maybe just need to be connected by a wire, but has no sense because it's a laptop and I don't remember having need to be wired previously

    Thanks guys,.

    I think I've fixed everything.
I got all the drivers I needed pcidatabase.com and installed all my without wire works, and so I need drivers for others.
Do you think that a computer of this old (7 years) is worth keeping?
I do not have access to newer computers, but it runs pretty quickly because it did downloaded to it. If this is the case, you think I should update in any way?
Once again, thank you for your help.
  • Unable to connect to wireless internet at home and cannot renew IP address

    Here's the question:

I have a few years old Toshiba Satelite laptop with Windows XP SP3. I recently took my office where he has been on the internet via an ethernet cable in the living room where I tried to connect to my wireless internet. It would connect, but says he has "limited connectivity or not." Perfectly fine, I can connect to my neighbor's wireless internet, my wife has the same computer exactly like me and connect to our wireless internet and the neighbour, and there is absolutely no problem with the intensity of the signal. I ran ipconfig and that's what he said:

Ethernet connection to the Local network card:

    The connection-specific DNS suffix. : gateway.2wire.net

    IP address.  . .  . . .  .  . . .  . .  : 192.168.1.64

    Subnet mask. .  . .  . . .  .  ...: 225.225.225.0.

    Default gateway.  .  .  . .  .  ...: 192.168.1.254

    Ethernet wireless network connection card:

    The connection-specific DNS suffix. :

    IP address.  . .  . . .  .  . . .  . .  : 192.254.204.90

    Subnet mask. .  . .  . . .  .  ...: 225.225.0.0.

    Default gateway.  .  .  . .  .  . . . :

When I just go to the login information and press 'Fix', it tells me that "Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action could not be completed: renewing your IP address."

In addition, I don't know if it's important, but I have DSL service from AT & T with an AT & T 2Wire Gateway. If anyone has any ideas or ideas that could help me, please let me know. Thank you

Well, I don't know what was wrong, but I got it working now. I just uninstalled and reinstalled all software or drivers or something that had nothing to do with wireless internet and it is now everything works fine.

  • don't move from dsl to comcast - now no wireless internet

Big fruit, Hard wired network (15 workstations.) I had a dsl modem connected to my network connected to the modem switch and linksys wrt54gs router. All connected workstations had internet access AND there is a wireless internet connection. With any wifi device I could access the internet.

I switched from dsl to comcast. All connected workstations have internet. but when I plug my router wireless modem (comcast IP gateway business) there is no wireless internet connection. Wired workstations can still get online and there is a wireless network, but it does not have access to the internet (page not found etc.)

Comcast said that absolutely, it should work. Linksys said it should simple reconfig to the router settings (reset the router, clone the mac address). I have read the linksys knowledge base articles and follow each step. The modem lan ports all work if I connect them directly with a laptop computer and cable. I have reset the router several times, clone the mac address, dhcp release/renew.

My physical connections are correct.  In the configured router utility, I can see the mac adrdress and IP address but can't tell if the IP is the modem or the router. Default gateway is always 192.168.1.1 in the router AND any ipconfig workstation screen. IP addresses are 192.168.1.xx in ipconfig at any workstation AND in the configured router status.

I can't access the internet through a router even if plugged directly on it. It's as if the router does not receive the correct information of the modem. However, it worked perfectly with the DSL modem the day before, we have changed.

My workstations are wired just hard and work. I just want to have a Wi - Fi connection too... for phones and laptops, wireless etc. w.

Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

    Thank you

    1. access the router page, go to the wireless TAB, click the wireless security sub-tab, copy your wless password and check the sub-tab mac filter, it should be disabled 2. Go to the Administration TAB, disable upnp or 3. Go to the security TAB, uncheck multicast request / anonymous filter 4. Change the IP Address of the router 192.168.2.1 instituted to disable the TAB modem and the router. To market only the modem, wait until all lights are stable, then switch on the router. Wait until the power led is stead

    Hello Paul,

See the Microsoft article and look at step 6: "Change your wireless channel"
You will need to connect to your router and change the wireless channel that it operates on.
There may be interference affecting your computer, but not your wife.
If you need assistance to change the settings of the router, you will need to contact your router manufacturer or your internet service provider.
