Someone called 1-866-978-6711 indicating they get mistakes from my computer and they are Microsoft!

These people State they want Microsoft and they want me to connect to a site for more information about a Trojan virus that is possibly in my computer.

They say they are technology solutions and receive errors to Microsoft from my computer.  They are difficult to understand and speak quickly... are not legitimate, because I asked them to tell me the IP address and error report.  They passed me to others and I mentioned that I am a researcher and I'd like to get this resolved - please give me the IP address... they hung up on me!
Www.teamviewer.com mentioned as a site to connect to and download from a box!

It's a scam well known and with all the names and phone numbers.
one that has become very common these days. See

In addition to their money get on your part to do anything of any value,
If you leave them in your computer, which knows what losses they did are
where confidential information they stole.

So if you have done so, I highly recommend that you do both of the following
immediately:

1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.

2. change all of your passwords, especially banks or other
financial sites.

Unless you are the representative of COMPUTING of large company with a priority support contract, it is unlikely that Microsoft will never launch a phone with you.  However, if you open a ticket with Microsoft through a channel of authorized support and the ticket has not yet been solved, then it is possible that Microsoft may call return you for a follow-up.  At the present time, however, I believe that phone Windows XP support is pay only so it is even more unlikely that Microsoft will call anyone at home.

In general, never disclose information to anyone who has launched a phone with you call.  If you feel that you MUST following up on this issue, to end the conversion andcall the company or the company by means of a telephone number, you know to be good as a phone number from a recent project of Act or the documentation that came with your product. Never use phone numbers to contact information or which is given you by a person who has appealed to phone with you.

I would like to done knowledge individual customer contact direct Microsoft indicating that they have received REPORTS of MISTAKES from my PC and then continue to tell me to turn on my computer, go to start etc. I said that I did not send error reports, but the person at the other end becomes very insistent that I have a problem. • Scam phone calls re malware indicating that they are "Microsoft."

Hello I get a series of scam phone calls indicating that they are of "microsoft" and say that I have a problem with my computer. The numbers on the caller ID of the phone are: 002133333206, 003105999211, 002532362020, 002063971113, 003606339006, 0013212000143 and 001753615204. They also asked me similar question such as if my computer is turned on and that it /she (because sometimes it's a woman's voice and, sometimes, a man's voice) can fix it. I always tell them that I'm not interested in such a way they cling fast to the phone. Can you please review?

Fake phone calls to technical support

Such unsolicited telephone calls are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

    Please see:

Microsoft does ever not requested for telephone calls of support or security.

    Microsoft called to solve problems?

    Hello

Microsoft will never make calls unsolicited users!
If you get called by one of these scammers, say "I'm sorry, but Microsoft do not call users about PC errors" and put down the phone. These scammers can deceive you more money in Exchange for the fake virus protection and install malicious software on your particular PC remote access.
Never listen to these cold - callers-simply ignore them.
    Best wishes and good luck!

  • Calls from 661-748-0240 saying they are Microsoft?

    On 29 October 2013 approximately 11:00, I got a call from this number: 661-748-0240.

The person at the other end are identified as a Microsoft employee, they also gave me his name (which I don't remember).

They said that Microsoft has gotten more than 500 messages from my computer in the last 5 days saying there was an error on my computer if it has not been corrected within 15 days, they would have to force a restart / reinstall on my PC remotely to get rid of the errors / hack / virus. They said that they would not have to do this because I would lose all data on my PC if it happened. He reminded me that they did this about 18 months ago.

I told them I had partitions and had that concern, he insisted that I would lose all data? He said it would have cost me about $2000.00 for data recovery, and that is why they would not have to force a reinstall on my PC remotely. He said something to be official Microsoft employees again and how he knows it if it wasn't.

Despite the indicators are going in my head I always I was tied it and went to this page to download an e-mail program:

    https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/customer/code.aspx

He had me to enter the security code: 485801 (this code no longer works).

They used this messenger programme connect and access my PC remotely:

Support - LogMeInRescue.exe (blue circle with a white cross in the middle of an icon)

With the e-mail program a John M? resumed and they asked for Remoting and I gave it to him by ignorance. He sought my logs of errors and could not have access. The error logs were not on.

I fell that there is 18 months (as mentioned above) and paid the money on my credit card, I don't know how. They used an aggressive remote registry tool that destroyed my PC and I've sat and watched as they did. I had to do a total reinstall (I didn't lose access to my other partitions with total reinstallation, I also two other OS on my PC for all these questions).

This time they were saying the same thing and access remotely. I almost fell for it again. I give them access remote questioning why they needed to do. But once they asked for money again, I thought that it is a scam.

They gave me two options one a time event for $99.00 or a term of two years for $199.00.

I told them that I don't have any money right now, what is true, and I would call them back. They stopped the remote access and gave me this number to remember: 1-855-306-9026 this number is a "United Tech Support', supposed to be used by many institutions, including Microsoft to manage the various issues.

    http://unitedtechsupports.com

A search on this number gives sites where people mention that there are a lot of people different scams have received this number and it is used by cyber criminals.

I want Microsoft to comment on calls from this number, they had to take care of this issue before.

Please let us know if it is a scam (which I can hardly imagine what isn't) or not. And what I should have let them through ignorance have remote access to my PC.

Deeply concerned about questions like that.

    John

    Its a scam - http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

If you receive a call as let them NEVER can visit his profile and NEVER give them any information or money.

Just to be safe, at least, if they have access to your computer, it should update your anti-virus package and running a scan completes, then download, install, update and run a scan complete with free Malwarebytes. Change the passwords you use esp and e-mail online banking accounts, etc.

  • Received a phone call from someone saying they are Microsoft and my system is having problems.

    Is - this kosher?

You or you have at any time authorized someone to communicate with PC users directly by phone to tell them there is all kinds of wrong with their PC?  I frequently get calls from people claiming to be the call of Microsoft/Windows askng me to turn on my PC so they can hel me get rid of viruses and defects.

    Hello

    It's a scam.

Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.

There is an article in the link I'm you provide at the end of this one

    Read this Information from Microsoft:

"Avoid scams to phone for tech support.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Don't be fooled of unsolicited calls. Don't provide personal information.

Here are some of the organizations that cyber criminals claim to come:

    • Helpdesk Windows

    • Windows repair center

    • Microsoft technical support

    • Microsoft technical support

    • Windows Support Group Technical Department

    • Microsoft Research and Development Team (team of Microsoft R & D)

Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.

If you gave them remote access and you do Internet banking, you should contact your bank, to explain, and change password.

If you use your online credit card, you should cancel it and get a new one issued to you.

And the only way you'd know you were free of them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.

    See you soon.

  • Logitech clearchat wireless headset drivers won't install correctly? They are microsoft drivers

    Hey guys:

My dear helmet is just a weight of paper at this time because the driver files refuse to install properly on my laptop Dell, vista, the system, I tried connected to my office of wives and they work fine, it's just my laptop which does not recognize the driver file?

Unknown manufacturer... error in the file?

Now my logitech wireless mouse is not working either?

Wondering if you guys may be able to help the helmet probs?

    Brad

You can get in trouble with your device drivers - especially if you use Microsoft drivers.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you need for the wireless mouse and the chearchat wireles headphones) and all the others you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem, make the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates or Microsoft).  Make sure you get the right drivers for your device and corresponding to your version of Vista - there may be several options and it's probably only one is good.  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

I hope this helps.  If not post back with the results of what you have tried and it failed and the error messages that occurred (the EXACT text) and see if we can come up with a few other options to try.

    Good luck!
