SOUL vs Direct Export in first CS5 - bad quality export flash

Hello

I recently met some discrepancies of quality strange export to FLV with SOUL and the direct export of first CS5. Material of origin was DV PAL (4:3). Export the flash settings are 430 x 314, 25 fps, 2000MiB/s, Codec: On2VP6. Hardware acclerated MPE.

Export with the SOUL led to strong pixelated text animations (made with the title tool). Direct export had a lot of best quality results. The exports were made with the same settings.

D I would like to know if anyone has similar kind problems when encoding with the AME or have some suggestions, how this quality gap could happen?

Thanks for your comments.

In this case, you are probably looking for the difference between the hardware acceleration (direct) and is not accelerated (SOUL).  The first has higher scaling algorithms.

  • BEST QUALITY (SOUL OR DIRECT EXPORT)

    Hello

What is the best method of exporting files for the best overall quality:

I use both SD and HD formats

    for SD (Pal DVCAM 16 x 9)

    for HD (XDCAM EX)

also if I have the maximum depth and make the maximum on IT, it will make a significant difference for images.

for the moment I export to DVD MPEG-2,

    Baz

    Baz,

Maximum neglect depth only if your source material was of 4:2:2 to start with or when you make a lot of seizure, but generally it is reasonable with BM and AJA cards, which support HD - SDI. AFAIK MPEG2 - dVD is only 8 bpc, so the only effect is to lengthen the encoding process.

MRQ is very sensitive, if you use MPE hardware but software. Material MPE always uses a maximum quality and linear color, except for certain specific situations. If you use MRQ using MPE and there is no longer time encoding, these circumstances do not apply, but it does not hurt. If there is a lengthening of coding time with MPE, you can enjoy quality, for example with nested sequences.

  • Bad quality animation Flash when interpolated

    Hi all!

    (a) im getting very bad results when I tween objects flash, ive done the drawings (hoof wheels) in photoshop and added a few fx for them, I save them as png file and import them into flash, when static everything is good, but as soon as they start rotation (interpolated movement like a music video) making the wheels go, they just look at terrible.is it is natural for the desing to lose in quality since moving? or y at - it smthing which I can do to remedy this?

    (b) when I Tween one object there is a keyframe to start and a keyframe in final once the cursor is on the end keyframe is not a good cycle it seems like the motion made a flash Instant at the end of movement, id like for the movement believe that the wheel is spining as a normal wheel would.

    any help would be appreciated.

    Best regards.

  • Interlacing problem with SOUL/first CS5?

    Hello

I'm having some problems with a file I'm trying to comply using CS5 SOUL of mxf XDCAM-HD wrapped wmv output that I need to be able to playback of a SDI black magic card.

The source file is 25 fps PAL

If I import the mxf in SOUL directly (without going through the first), I can output a file interlaced 6 Mbps CBR using the main profile successfully and it plays correctly on the screen I use to check the reading.

However, I need to remove 2 audio channels hire them and superimpose a logo. I did it by importing the file in first, the necessary changes and exporting to the SOUL.

When I do that, if I chose interlaced as my output of the SOUL, the file that results is terrible and movement is very choppy. If I change the output to deinterlaced, I see an improvement, but it is still not as good as the file that was imported directly from SOUL without passing by the first.

I need to understand (and address) what is happening within the first who made a difference in the output file of the SOUL.

Change the other output format as wmv isn't really an option at the present time.

I tried changing the settings to interpret the film in SOUL as well as various other options. I understand that I may not have provided sufficient information here someone be able to help, but if you let me know what you need to know that I will happily provide it.

    Thank you

Fix; your sequence settings must match your settings to images so that the output to be correct. When you drop images interlaced in a progressive sequence, you say that the film is actually progressive - he is not smart enough to know the difference and use the sequence as first master parameters settings. It looks good when you do not play in sequence, because the first natively works with it. However, when you export to an interlaced format of a progressive sequence, first is essentially reinterlacing the file, resulting in some very ugly artifacts.

It's for another type of film, but try the procedure described here to get back you on track without having to do a re-Edition.

  • If I started a project in first Cs5 and want to finish it in first Pro CC it causes problems exporting my sequence and get into the new software?

If I started a project in first Cs5 and want to finish it in first Pro CC it causes problems exporting my sequence and get into the new software?

Better is to import the cs5 project in the new project of CC.

And Yes this could have problems, he could not.

I would have ended up in CS5. Export to the lossless format and encode with SOUL CC until the final destination.

  • CS5 direct export to dvd

I can't have a little chance direct export to DVD without going through yet. I export to media, I tried several selections but no selection of dvd release.

    Hello

There is no way directly export a DVD of first. You have to use again.

When you export a file from the dialog box export settings for use in DVD or Blu - ray Disc creation, select the right format for the middle of the target. For a single-layer or double-layer DVD, select MPEG2-DVD. For the Blu - ray single layer or double layer discs, select MPEG2 Blu - ray or H.264 Blu - ray.

  • Help! Exporting a first CS5 photo story no video just of JPEG files, trying to resize

I've seen a heck of a time trying to get this to work. I'm doing a video test in first CS5.  There is no video JPEG only. I need to change the resolution of 640 x 360, but keep image quality.

When I export files, the media encoder appears, but I can't understand how to change these settings.

    Any help would be fantastic.

NOTE: There are audio tracks I need. The stills where turned on a T2i can. The parameters of the sequence is 1280 x 720, but the ability to change the resoultion is grayed out?

Exactly how do you plan to offer the material exported?

With a sequence set to 1280 x 720 and 640 x 480 still Images, you're looking at one of the two modes of action:

Leave the black bars around the fixed Images, or

Step up 640 x 480 still Images to match the size of the image of the sequence - resulting in a loss of quality

Know how, and you want to deliver, other help to suggest how to configure your sequence and export.

    Good luck

  • 10 x slower with media encode that Premiere pro direct export of rendering

We use CS5 (use Adobe since 2004). I opened a sequence (published in first without length fantasy effect - it just open title & title closing - 4 minutes). It's HDV so nothing special or out of the ordinary.

If I turn the sequence by clicking on FILE = > EXPORT = > MEDIA and export in this way it will take about 1 minute to make the file.

If I close first and open Media Encoder and import the same sequence and return with exactly the same settings, it will take 10 or 11 minutes to render.

I tried the most obvious areas such as closing all other programs and only opening media encoder, as well as ensure that the allocation of RAM is the same for media encode, but nothing seems to restore Media Encoder at the same speed.

No matter what video format is on the entry or export... media encoding is always much slower.

Why Media Encoder takes much longer to make?

You have a CUDA card that can run hardware MPE?  You're upgrading scaling and deinterlacing of video on export?  You have a maximum quality made verified?

If you answered Yes to all 3 questions, then this is the answer to your question.  SOUL CS5 uses the MPE software for certain operations (such as scaling and deinterlacing) even if the MPE material is available.  Direct export of the Pr use an MPE material for these same operations.

  • I first CS5.5 and I want to send sequences of Speedgrade. Is this possible?

I am trying to color the images BMPCC grade and have not been able to find a way to link the images of first CS5.5 Speedgrade. Is this possible?

Direct link became possible in CS6 AFAIK. Before this date, you need to first export and import images in SpeedGrade.

  • Panasonic HDC-SD707 1080/50 p & first CS5?

Hey there I really need help!

I have a new Panasonic HDC-SD707 and until yesterday, I still shot in 1080i/25...

but finally, I wanted to shot in 1080/50 p, since it's the future and the reason why you need this cam ^ ^ (known as panasonic) and progressiv got these nice details!

    Ok!

then I went out and shot things at ut to 1080 / 50 p. the files on my mac (via clipwrap)... and then I saw the problem!

QuickTime has read the files, but not really smooth. Sometimes the medium photo to fast movements, it slows down, and then it plays at normal speed, fast, normal, slow... and so on.

    So, I started first cs5...

    and here is my questions!

    1. first of all, it has no such pre-set for p. 1080/50 m I'm blind? or is it not there? and if she's not here... why?

    2. I tried many things but the first is not also read the files just... I also tried to use the files '.mts"directly from my cam, but it's the same problem... is there something special I need to do?

    3. is it possible that it is impossible to use the files in 1080/50 p and I need to stick with 1080i/25?

I hope someone can help and my English is good enough to get the problem...

I'd really like some help because I'm just getting into the video and don't know how to fix this on my own!

    Thanks in advance :-)

    1. it is not standard. Use the icon of a new item in the project Panel to get the correct sequence settings.

    2. see #1.

    3. No, you can change them OK, but you can't export, since the only authorized export format is 1080i/25.

  • When I use magic bullet in first cs5.5 it takes time to make

    Hello

I have Dell laptop I7 16 GB intel hd graphics 4400 and I use in first cs5.5.

When I edit the video and use the magical effect, he takes like 8-12 minutes to return shoots of 5 seconds.

I can't really work with that.

I know that my graphics card is not so good, but I suppose that the memory card and the processor is enough for video editing...

I tried also to use in edius 7.5 and the same problem.

I saw some videos on youtube and they explain to change the setting sequence at 640 X 480 and then when I export to return to full hd, but I guess that the video quality is also change.

    I really exhausted problem...

    Thank you.

Some plugins like Magic Bullet are a lot of resources and the configuration of your computer is not powerful enough to cope better than that.

  • File audio h.264 out of sync. First CS5.5

After building a new machine with first CS5.5, using the Q4000 NVIDIA card, I have trouble opening my audio are out of sync. I export sequences DSLR the same sequence was already good export on my old computer. Now, when I export, the sound is out of sync a few images. There is something really funny going on. When I play the same video file in Windows media player, it seems to be in harmony. When I play it in Quicktime, it is clearly out of step. Also, when I upload to Vimeo, it is out of sync as well.

If you want to see my computer's specifications, you will find them in this post:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/4211881#4211881

When I export the same file in Mpeg DVD, it seems in sync. Is - this problem anyone familiar?

See the raw images to compare sound.

Refer to your sequence to make sure that you don't to not push the audio out of sync at all.

Remove the media cache in the project and leave the first re - conform to the audio.

View the full source, sequence and export of settings.

  • First CS5 + images 7 d + = my computer cannot return (!)

    Hello guys
A week ago I had my first assignment and my client does not really believe I can do it (when he saw filming me with 7 d.) o I really want to surprise him. The problem is that I do something wrong or my computer is really too slow to make movies.

    First of all, spec. comp:

Pentium Dual Core 3.0 GHZ 64-bit
    4 GB RAM OCZ Platinum Rev2 800 MHZ 4-4-4-15
    WD Caviar 160GB 7200 (I know ;()
    GeForce 8800GTS 640MO

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I'm working on the first CS5 and After Effects CS5 (tests at the moment ' casue I have to consider purchasing computer before buying the software better :/).

I had a 4 MINUTE long 7 D images, executed in first, color in After Effects (dynamic linked Premiere), and with a few cross dissolve transitions first + a track ambient (25 MB) and voice track (70 MB). The PROBLEM IS when I want to PAY him, he says he will make for 36HOURS (!). I can't even finish it because I can't play the full movie. I wanted to go to a really small format just to check if there is everything fine with cuts and with sound but can't!  I chose QuickTime format and codec H.264 with 50% of the quality, 23.976 rate, D1/DV PAL widescreen and it shows me 36HOURS...

I tried the trial Cineform Neoscene codec and convert my .mov AVCHD in cineform .avi video, then I tried to make it with the worst possible .flv options and it shows me always more than 30 hours

Am I doing something wrong or what?:(

    Concerning
    Paul

The PROBLEM IS when I want to PAY him, he says he will make for 36HOURS (!)

It is to be expected when the system does not yet meet the minimum requirements and that you are dealing with one of the most difficult codecs and taxing autour.

The only solution I see is to get a new PC: Forums Adobe: how to build PC? and watch the economic model as a bare minimum with this source material.

What you are trying to do is to carry a load of 40 tonnes with a bike uphill. But by choosing QuiRckTime as export format, make you it even worse, you have a bike with a rear flat tire. Stay away from 32 bit QT as much as possible.

  • video does not appear in speedgrade when you do a direct link from first pro

When I do a direct link from first pro, the sequence appears to download correctly, but the video appears on the screen. It appears on the timeline and audio renders perfectly.

It seems that my graphics card doesn't have enough RAM, in case someone else has the same problem.
