sound card connections

O.K. Here I am with a new '' 8700 and want to save a few pieces of my old cassette player. All these beautiful little taken in the back and not no matter what idea how to use them. Color code wise (which I suppose are standard), which is the line-in input, and who is out of line? These symbols of ultra nice little thumbnail of each color would be perfect if I had a Hubble telescope and had any knowledge of the electrical symbols.  Laughing out loud

Any help would be greatly appreciated, much more appreciated than the manual dell does not send.

Hi catsam,.

The blue plug is line for something like your tape player, Pink is a microphone. The Green Jack is speaker/line-out.

Yes, I couldn't agree with you more about these microscopic symbols. They are not much help, although you can see them.

  • cable connecting the sound card to before i/o Panel for XPS 420

I have a desktop computer XPS 420 I recently installed a Sound Blaster X - Fi Sound card on. I found that I need the cable that connects the new sound card to the audio of the front panel IO on the XPS 420. The sound blaster card appears to be a connector 10 pin but the plug on the i/o Panel seems to be much larger, as a 20 PIN... but I'm not sure. Anyway, I can't find a cable that works. Anyone seen elsewhere or solved this problem before? There was a post for a similar situation for a XPS 410 computer, but I don't think that the solution to this post will work for me (not sure this is the right cable). Thanks to someone out there who can help.

How can I get the sound card to play on the speakers of the car?

Usually connecting the phone to the car system - particularly at the point where you can play the music usually connects the Maps app

  • HP Envy 15 j140na: suspected of sound card - no way to diagnose failure?

I suspect a sound card that has failed on my HP Envy 15, I'm getting no audio through speakers or headphones. 10 Windows and Ubuntu, I have no sound card/no audio device detected. Is it possible to run hardware diagnostics on my laptop to confirm that it is a hardware problem, or is it a software problem?

It is soldered to the motherboard, so if the connection is doubtful it will mean a new motherboard for sound. You can use a usb sound card dongle and headset is the only solution.

    Hello

Rudi is right. The best solution is external USB sound card. Check this one please http://www.djstore.co.uk/cgi-bin/item.pl?item=audmaya44usb. On this one, there are 4 output channels (RCA Sockets) and 4 input channels (RCA Sockets) as well as outputs optical. Headphone Jack is also included to complete this fully functional portable audio solution.

  • Card connection USB Arduino fails on El Capitan

USB connection to fail Board Arduino on El Capitan but works on Yosemite. On El Capitan, the Arduino appears in the application of information system, but after connecting the printer 3D (a Robo3D) the window is empty and the connection is broken. Everything works fine on Yosemite.

Apple makes changes in OS X from time to time. During these changes of El Capitan is called SIP (protection of the integrity of the system) which locks in certain areas of the system. Developers are responsible for providing updates to cope with these changes. You can check to see if they have an updated driver for your hardware and El Capitan with Arduino. OS X manages USB drivers for certain categories of hardware such as sound cards, mice, keyboards and others. Printer manufacturers provide their device drivers directly to Apple. Arduino is a hardware and software company, so I expect that they have their own custom drivers. If you can't solve the problem with Arduino, your only option might be to return to Yosemite. In the future, you can do surveys for you ensure that your equipment works with the new OS X before and then update to find out there are a problem.

    Update...

A Google search reveals many discussions on this issue on Arduino support forums. Different solutions are available, supposedly there is a updated driver, signed now available to El Capitan. Go to the support of the Arduino forums and see what you can find.

    Hello peppy

If the sound card is not listed in Device Manager, the explanation is very simple. The card its doesn't exist for the operating system. Either card defective or not connected properly.

Contact the Service partner and let check the device. Sorry, but in this case I put t see another solution.

  • On Satellite L650-17R sound card problem

    Hello
I have my laptop connected to external speakers. For increasing the external speaker volume level, I had a static discharge between my Palm and the speaker sound control.
After this event disappeared (also the internal speakers). After several reboots my soundcard was back to normal.

What happened to the sound card and should I go to service center (could it be, this sound card has been somewhat damaged)?

And what is now with your laptop, speakers and sounds?
    Everything works correctly (without speakers)?

You can use internal speakers again?
What happens if you connect another device (headset)?

  • Best iMac 4K external sound card

    Hello

I LOVE my UAD Apollo Twin duo. Connected via Thunderbolt. 8.4.1 the drivers are great. Plugins are impressive as well. With the current driver, you should be good even if it is not fully tested with EL Capitan. I'm guessing by NAMM, they must have something ready. But if you want to spend a little more money AU has a killer special happens.

  • whattype of sound card can I put in my HP p6-2112

I want to spend my sound card in my HP pavillion model p6-2112, so I can have my hip on logitech 6.1 speaker system.  What kind of card I need to do?

    Gyheat, welcome to the forum.

The brand that is normally recognized as the standard of the industry's Creative Labs.  This is one of their cards that work in your computer.  It's PCI Express x 1.  It fits into one of the slots on the motherboard.  Make sure that you install the latest driver for the card.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

There are also templates that you can connect via the USB port.  However, they are usually more expensive.

  • Read a data point every time via the sound card

    Hello!

I'm reading the output of an amplifier to lock that cannot be connected to my PC. So I decided to read througn my mic.

To do this, I connect channel 1 or 2 for my microphone.

However whenever I do a reading I can not simply take a while but only several points at once.

10 is the minimum number of points I can get when I put the sampling of 100 and length frequency 0.1 in the VI of its acquisition.

Any combination that translates into less than 10 points gives me an error (for example 100 sampling rate and duration 0.01).

I thought that by indexing dynamic data to acquire its VI would solve the problem, but playback is differnet from that I get when reading lock-in amplifier

    through GPIB.

(I'm testing with a locking amplifier which I can via GPIB interface.  So at the same time, I read with my sound card and the GPIB and compare graphs)

Any way to read a point every time?  Or I'm getting something other wrong here?

    Thanks for your time!

Looks like the CDA min frequency response of 10 Hz, pg 69 card technical:

    http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/datasheets/ALC888_1-0.PDF

However, you can apply a known value of low voltage DC at the entrance to see if it reads properly micro. Note that microphones out low level signals, looks like the ADC full scale entry is ~1-1.5V so make sure that your entry does not exceed. You can use dividers of resistive voltage if necessary to reduce the input voltage.
