Sound has stopped working

You do not have a sound device installed on your computer error ID = 0xC00D11BA, Condition ID = 0x00000000

Hi Philip, this problem could be solved on ways to couple

1. simple would be first to a hard reset.

which means that you turn off your computer, completely remove the codes of power connected to the computer and make sure that there is not food at all, once you have confirmed there is no power input

Press the power button on your computer for 30 seconds

This process eliminates the problems caused by the temporary memory and power glitches,

2. If the above has not resolved the problem, you can try to execute this file automated by Microsoft which will detect any possible licensing and you provide a resolution

Run the fixit tool mentioned in the link below and check if that can help diagnose the problem.

http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/NO_SOUND

3. another Option, you can try is to uninstall the driver of sound card in Device Manager and restart your computer for the driver to map its install automatically

  • HDMI sound has stopped working - dv9266ea

    Hey!

I have a laptop dv9266ea with WinVista Home Premium and a few 1-2 months ago my sound does not work as it should. We used to be able to plug the laptop to our TV using a HDMI cable and change the sound default and everything was good, but now we have not any sound at all more. Photo is excellent as usual.

Are more people who has the same problem, so it might be because of some update somewhere here? Or anyone knows of another solution?

Never mind. Swedish support couldn't give me an answer. American support couldn't give me an answer. 2 times I had the mother exchanged at just 1.5 years (the last time they destroyed the volume controls and said that they didn't fix it for me, even if they one wrecked at HP), and my brother had his mother traded 3 times on a similar model.

HP seems to suck. I'm going to buy a new laptop to mark another in a few weeks and then it goes in the trash. I lost the way a lot of time and money because of all it's flaws and time away for repair.

Solution: Trash and get another brand.

  • Sound has stopped working Windows 7

I have Windows 7 Home Premium on an ASUS x 64 laptop with Realtek HD Audio Manager. My audio has suddenly stopped working. Realtek HD speakers are listed as the audio device by default, but when I test them I get an error message "could not play the test tone. It makes no difference if I plugged headphones. • Sound has stopped working after the installation of the new system of cooling for cpu

I recently installed a Corsair H55 liquid cooling device that works successfully, but after starting my computer, the sound does not work. I checked the sound Manager, and it says that my speakers are not connected (which they are). I plugged them properly with the plug in the light-green connector. I tried to plug in the façade that does not work either. Other speakers and the headset will not work too well on either front or back. The sound Manager will not confirm that anything is plugged and it wont let me click on anything to set it up. Is it possible that I have damaged the sound card and damaged the box of the connector on the motherboard? I tried a lot of things without success. Help, please!

    My system specs are:

  • Sound has stopped working, except with Skype

    Hi all.

Suddenly, my sound from the internet (YouTube, etc.) and Windows Media Player doesn't work. All diagnoses show that everything is fine. The only time where the sound work is when someone calls me or I call someone on Skype, but only after I take the call or the other party doesn't - I hear the rings on incoming or outgoing calls.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

1 did you software/hardware changes to your computer before this problem?

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

Try the procedure described in step 1 in the section below to put your computer in clean boot mode.

    Hello

Check if the following makes a difference.

Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, and select playback devices.  Right click 'Speakers and headphones' (or speakers/HP), and then select Properties.  Select the Advanced tab, and then remove the check box "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."  Click apply and then click Ok to save this change.

    Restart the laptop.

  • Satellite L500 - DMIcheck application has stopped working

Some of my drivers won't install givin message "DMIcheck application has stopped working" or similar for pInfo application...

Same installation of 64 bit Windows 7 on another laptop didn't have problems like that.

    How to solve this?

model laptop is L500 (short model No. PLJSHE)

    Hey,.

To me that sounds like that the DMI information is missing, and if you get this error message...
You use the Toshiba drivers directly?

Usually the DMI information is missing, if the motherboard was exchanged and technicians forgot to re - write this information.
In this case contact the guy again and they will do that for you! :)

  • HP Pavilion DV6: at startup BIOS showing CPU fan has stopped working, but I checked the fan is in good condition

I bought my HP Pavilion dv6 laptop 2011 as it starts a is overheating, freezing windows with noisy fan sound etc... but now, on information in BIOS boot indicating that the CPU fan has stopped working so immediately, I checked that I couldn't hear any noise from fan and no symptoms as fan works so I disassembled my laptop and removed CPU cooler fan only. Simply with the help of the battery, I checked the CPU fan it is running perfectly alone. but it does not work with the laptop.

Please help me and guide what is the cause of this problem and how to solve this problem.

How can I find my model number or product number?

I understand that since you had the laptop he had an overheating problem with a loud fan noise that causes freeze it.

Recently, you have received the message that the CPU fan has stopped working and you couldn't hear the rotation of the fan to the top.

You have removed the fan and checked, but the fan works.  It is possible that the connection was not safe in Notepad.

Here is a link to an overheating and Auto Shutdown problem troubleshooting.

Have you checked for an update of the bios of your laptop. You have provided the series of laptop you have, but not the exact model, so I'm not able to check it for you.

  • Qosmio G30 - GPU has stopped working

    Hello

    I have Toshiba Qosmio G - 30 portable series.
Same problem as all the others. The GPU has stopped working. Tried with external monitor too, same thing.
This is the 3rd time what happens.

Finally 2 times had to be repaired. The guys at Toshiba just suggest a motherboard replacement, which is about $1000 USD.

In INDIA, they have the very worst customer service, taking customers for granted.

I'm trying to get the GPU: nVIDIA GeForce GF-Go7600-N-A2 G73M GPU BGA Chipset, replaced.

E Bay, some sell one those given to NINE and some new.
NEVER HEARD OF A CHIP SE RE_FURBISHED.

    Can someone help me please?
Is this the replacement work and what is a smart refurbished?
    Which will work?
Does anyone know any service center etc. in INDIA who can do a good job on this?

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    > E - Bay, some sell one those given to NINE and some new.
    > NEVER HEARD A CHIP SE RE_FURBISHED.

I don't have never heard about refurbished CPU or GPU, the internet is a vast world, and you can always find strange and products
To be honest I would not take it. For me it sounds too strange

However, the GPU malfunction is really annoying problem. The fact is that in most cases, the motherboard must be replaced and it is always a costly affair if the guarantee is no longer valid

You have a service center in India.
Well, I found this database ASP from Toshiba. You will find all the FSA all over the world.

http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-> support download &-> find an authorized service provider

In India, were more of * 50! ASP *.
I recommend that you get in contact with some partners and ask what's possible

  • Satellite A100 - screen has stopped working

    Hello

yesterday in vista, he said that he detected an external monitor, even if I never used any external monitor to my laptop. In display properties, he said I had several monitors and in Device Manager it says that I had a pnp and a monitor not Plug-and-Play...

The screen has stopped working after a reboot. I see nothing on the screen during the loading process indicating normally the toshiba and the vista loading screen. But once vista has started (the sound still works), the screen works again.

This has me worried and I reinstalled vista from the cd, but now the screen never... never.
But I know that vista has been correctly installed that after what he asked, can I still use alt + f4 and enter to stop.

Well, I can't even make troubleshooting procedures on my own that never, the screen now works. -.-
Does anyone have experience with this?

    Hello

I've never heard of such question it s so very interesting to hear about this issue. Given that you never connected an external monitor, it must be something else...
Did you ever done some update the BIOS on this machine?

Maybe, if you have some, this could be the problem. Otherwise, I have a work around (it could be useful):

Remove the AC adapter and the battery from the machine and leave the machine for some time (1-2 hours). Then, start the machine and check if it works.

If this isn't the case, then you must send your machine to the service since it could be a serious hardware problem (I mean if you really reinstalled vista and problems persist after the reinstallation, then it IS definitely a hardware problem).

You can also try some update BIOS if it is not already done...

    Welcome them

  • Satellite A110 - 195 PSAB0E - sound card stopped working

    Hello
My sound card has stopped working it was working fine but suddenly the sound quality started weak and, finally, it stopped working I tried the following methods:

    Realtek is audio by default

Control Panel / sound & Audio devices / Audio tab / Sound click play on arrow down and check that the audio OK is selected. In general, the problem is they something like "modem line 0 playback" could have been substituted the right audio device. (Did not work)

Chipset utility - install (Did 'n' t Worked Aswell)

Start/Control / Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window opens in the left pane click Services (Local) of the tree / scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is disabled or manual right-click > select Properties > under Startup to automatic Type change > click on apply / click Start > OK Reboot. (Worked) But first the quality was not as he was before and sound card then stopped working again.

    Try a file system check
go to run - Type "sfc/scannow" without success.

I installed windows again, but without success. :(

Here is the detailed model no. Satellite A110-195

    PSAB0E-00F00KAR

    Windows XP Home Edition SP2

If I understand you right you have just updated the chipset utility, but in this case, you must update the sound card driver.
You can find the Toshiba site, so check that!
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

In addition, I would like to try a BIOS update and then you'll see if it works or not.
