  • Satellite C55: microphone does not work with the connected headphones

    Hey everybody,

I have a Toshiba Satellite C55. I've seen other forums posted on this topic, but none of the solutions seem to work for me. I tried to uninstall the drivers and restart the computer, and configure the microphone when the headphones are connected.

My microphone (installed on the laptop) works completely fine... until I have plug in my headphones. He stops working, but I can still hear the music or friends through my headphones. They have a regular pair of Sony headphones, not headphones, so they do not have a microphone on them or anything. My microphone has never worked with the headphones plugged in, and the computer is only a few months old. I would really appreciate a clear solution, thank you for taking the time to look!

What Satellite C55 do you have exactly?

This laptop does support that one socket for headset and microphone, or you have two different plugs: one for mic and one for headphones?

Usually, you can check the playback (speakers, headphones) devices and recording devices (microphone and external microphone) in the control panel → sound → playback (or recording) tab

If you need to check if the internal MIC is set as device by default when the headphones are connected.

In the event that the laptop uses the Realtek audio driver
    Reach
Control Panel → Manager Realtek HD Audio → select Mic tab → click Device avancΘs
Then select option button separate all entries in the independent input devices.
    Click OK
Speakers of tray right click (Volume) then the recorders (confirm the microphone is active) → select microphone → click on set default (default device)

  • No sound when the connected printer

I have a Toshiba Satellite running Vista. There is no sound at all (if Youtube video or a CD) when my printer (Epxon Stylus CX6600) is connected to the USB port. I tried different ports, with the printer on and off - but as long as this cable is connected - no sound. If I unplug the cable, close and restart IE and then try the youtube video, the sound is excellent (even with Media player to listen to a CD of recovery). Any suggestions?

    Thank you

I found the problem and it is fixed - I ran the Microsoft Fix tool and discovered that I had the wrong sound device as default.

    Thanks anyway.

  • No Notification sound when the connection/disconnection of USB device

    Hello

I am running Windows 7 on a separate partition on a 2011 MacBook Pro (installed via Boot Camp).

This laptop has two USB ports on the left side.

If I connect/disconnect a USB device to the port more back, I get the notification sound as usual.

However, if I log out these same devices to the port further there is no notification even if the devices are recognized & seem to work fine.

Can anyone tell how to enable notification of this port please?

    John,

    Thank you for your response.

The sound scheme has already been set to "Windows default", but just for good measure, I changed it but it made no difference.

As mentioned be notified when you use one of the ports USB, but not the other.

I posted this in an Apple forum & other users of this machine & installation are reporting the issue even if it seems to be a generic hardware problem & not just something on my own system.

    See you soon.

  • Y560P card number: sleep mode and headset to the connected socket

I searched the forum as much as I could and did not find this issue to be considered.

So, sometimes I listen to music with headphones or even after a Skype call, I leave the connected headphones. If I put the laptop to sleep and wake it back up, unplug the headphones will not return my sound setting to speakers; I can't hear any sound if I plug the headphones in the back.

I tried to connect and the new: no change. I tried to disable and re-enable "Realtek High Definition Audio" in the Device Manager: no change. Uninstall and reinstall it wouldn't be a good solution if it had to be done all the time. The only thing that it returns to normal is turning works again... typical I.T. solution. Is there a driver update to solve this problem?

Speaking of driver updates, I guess that I can't find any BIOS update or updates to driver for the ideaPad due to the recall of Sandy Bridge?

    =====================

    Repair Mac mysteriously mute

The background on the issue, is that there is a switch small sensor inside the plug headphones. When you insert a headphone jack, the sensor includes what is what and changes the setting of audio output for headphones. If you insert a jack for digital audio output, the unit switches to digital output. When you completely remove the plug, it should read the internal speakers.

The spirits tell me that there is a very good chance that you recently had something hostage in this port, a set of headphones or a cable leading to powered speakers, for example. When you remove the plug, something in the port have prevented triggering sensor properly. That's why you see Digital Out instead of the internal speakers.

The solution is to force the sensor to do its job. The safest way to do this is to simply run a plug in and out of the port, a few times. A large part of the time, this takes care of the problem by triggering sensor correctly. If this does not work, there may be dirt in the port. Before moving on to more invasive techniques, get a can of compressed air, plug the small tube which corresponds to the nozzle and the breath to air a few shots in the lane. With a little luck, should dislodge dirt and the port will operate as it should.

If this does not work, find a swab to foam tip that fits (electronics stores generally carry), dip it in rubbing alcohol and insert gently into the helmet in an attempt to wipe any tenacious dirt. I recommend foam rather than cotton fleece because the variety of cotton could leave the son behind. (This same technique works well with the bad conduct of ports from headphone output on devices such as iOS devices).

It is possible that dirt has nothing to do with it. On the contrary, it may be that the switch should just a subtle help. If a socket or a buffer does not work, I have heard people resetting successfully with a deft poke with a toothpick.

  • Aspire One speaker/headphone - no sound when the earphone plug unless the defect of the device is reset

If the speakers are enabled when you connect headphones, headphone does not work unless I go into the control panel playback settings and change the headphones 'by default'.  Then to return to the speakers when headphones are removed, the procedure is reversed to set the speakers 'by default'.  in the Panel of reading the speaker shows option 'speak' not the typical ' speaker/headset '.  The option for headset is "helmet" that is correct.

Is it true that the desired device should be selected by default every time?  I find it odd and very annoying.  In general the speaker option would show two 'speaker/headset' so that when plugged in or unplugged the headset you can go back between the speakers and the headphones.  In this situation with just listed "speakers" is not possible.  Anyone else having this problem.

Once chosen as a default value, each device is functioning.  With the help of Windows 10.  Everything else seems ok.

have you tried to uninstall your audio device from Device Manager and reboot? I know its sounds counter productive, but often, when you uninstall something, then the system recognizes that you have a device installed, it re - installs the default drivers of factorty for device of theat and Voila! It works somehow. A little nutty in how I have described, but try it, simply right click on your audio device from the Device Manager and select uninstall, it will give you a window with something like "You are about to uninstall Yada, Yada Yasda" but follow through, then restart. I have fixed this way before from udio. Don't forget to restart.

  • Satellite L750 - no sound on the speaker or headphones - static

    Hello

I have problems with the sound in my laptop for a few months. At first I thought that he would go away with updated drivers, which makes certain the alternatives system restore or changing audio device drivers high definition of Win 7, but I can't find a solution to this problem and today is getting worse. Right now, I can't have any kind of noise from the side if headphones or external speakers. Also, my sound disappears after 15-30 seconds of activity through the laptop speakers. I checked the forums and blogs on this issue, but still do not find a good solution for me.

    My model is:

    * Satellite L750-1VW *.
    * Code: PSK1WE-0U500ECE *.

I checked on other systems, headphones and external speakers. So my guess is the Jack is the problem or I don't know. Yesterday, I remember getting a download of update of windows and then, from there my sound started getting static electricity to the right of the speakers and headphones.

    * First problem *: no sound after 15-30 seconds to be active while watching videos (vlc, wma, youtube, etc.)
    * Second problem * (recent): static, crackling noise, the right side of external speakers or headphones

    Any solution to this?

I bought this laptop last year around may or April, can't remember the exact month. Thank you.

    Sorry my bad English.

In my opinion, your options are very limited and all that you have done so far is good. You can check the settings of the software, test it with the factory settings or use the PC diagnostic tool preinstalled.
Have you used this tool? He will check the sound of the waves on both speakers. If this is not the case, do.

Anyway, I don't want to speculate, but somehow I think that there is hardware problem and I think that contact you the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider and ask for help. They use special software for the material testing and can say with certainty what the problem is.
    Warranty is still valid?

  • I have a problem with the sound to be heard through speakers and headphones.

Original title: Ok, this is really annoying - need help (Audio)

OK, so I have a motherboard Asrock z77 Pro 3 that supports the audio 7.1.
But I have a stereo speaker 2.1 only. So I plugged in any case and began to use - the bizzare thing, is when I connect headphones through the headphone jack on the front, the sound is produced by headphones and speakers. I need to stop this.

Is it OK to connect a 2.1 to 7.1 channel speakers? (by any channel 1 output).

    Realtek drivers installed.

When you are using speakers stereo use decision-making (lime green) front speaker.

Many cable front have two different connectors to connect to the motherboard.
A (HD Audio if I remember correctly) allows to disable the outputs back when you connect the headphones to the output on the front panel.

When you use the right connector you should see the option switch when you
connect or disconnect the headset if you have Panel-Sound-open reading.
Speakers should be 'default' when the headphones are not connected and when the reverse
    You then connect.
