Sounds dead after mode 'sleep'. (Windows 7)

Whenever my computer goes into mode 'sleep', and I turn back again the sound went. I searched for hours and hours trying things suggested to others with exactly the same problem. I did the steps of troubleshooting, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, try different settings in the sound control panel. Nothing. My computer is a self-construction running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I have a Gigabyte mobo with onboard Realtek HD. I'm about to resort to just reformat my whole HARD drive and reinstall Windows because I'm pretty well convinced there is no solution.

This is my exact motherboard: [url] http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128342 [url]

Carach,

Contact the manufacturer of the motherboard (Gigabyte) for the latest BIOS. Here is a direct link to the page of the BIOS:

http://www.gigabyte.us/support/motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=2813&ver=#anchor_os

And here is a link to the sound driver:

http://www.gigabyte.us/support/motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=2813&OST=Windows+7+64bit#anchor_os

I had this problem on my own computer and reinstall the audio driver taken care of him for me (even if it was the same driver). I highly recommend trying to install the driver, once more just to be sure.

Hope this helps!

  • X 51 R2 is very slow recovery mode sleep (windows 8.1, 100% of disk in the Task Manager)

My X 51 that R2 is very slow recovery mode sleep (windows 8.1, 100% of disk in the Task Manager).  I ran the online support tool and Support tool help.  It takes 3-5 minutes before using the drive falls down to a normal level and the PC can be used.

    Please help.  Thank you.

    Hello

This may have something to do with the settings in Windows 8.1. Take a look at this Microsoft Community forum thread, it may be useful.

  • After entering the mode 'sleep', WIndows 8 occasioanlly stops.

This happens rarely; only three times since the installation of Windows 8 about two months ago.  I use my computer on a regular basis and prefer to put in mode 'sleep'. Normally, the screen turns off first followed quickly by the computer go to sleep - in other words, all the lights and sounds of my Tower disappear and everything is happy.

Sometimes after the screen stops normally, the computer takes about 5 seconds before the tower was asleep, before turning off. The delay is very sensitive. The next time I turn on my computer, it goes through the normal startup process (does not wake from sleep).  There is no error, BSOD or anything, but I lost all my previous session data as if I shut down the computer completely.

I think I've identified the relevent event in Event Viewer.  The most recent is as follows:

    Log name: System
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power
    Date: 25/05/2013-05:19:19
    Event ID: 41

    Level: critical
    Key words: (2).
    User: SYSTEM
    Computer science: Home
    Description:
The system has rebooted without judgment properly first. This error can be caused if the system unresponsive, crashed or unexpected power loss.
    The event XML:

The two previous incidents are identical except the timestamp and BugcheckParameter4, the latest of which is:
    0xfffff88000afce62 and
    0xfffff88000c07e62

If it helps, the 209 BugcheckCode in hexadecimal is 0x000000D1
However, I couldn't find anyone get the same problem subsequently to spend in sleep mode, but then again I don't know much about this stuff ~

Any help is appreciated. If there is any other information that you need, let me know what (and where). Thank you.

    Hi André,.

The kernel power event 41 ID error occurs when the computer is off or it restarts unexpectedly. Starting a computer that is running Windows, a check is made to determine if the computer has been properly closed. If the computer was not closed properly, a kernel Power event 41 message is generated.

I suggest you to refer to the article and check if it helps.

Of core Windows event error ID 41 'the system has rebooted without cleanly close the first' in Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

The computer works perfectly except for this problem.

When the Tablet is in standby, the white led flashes, and it is when everything works fine, but if the light for some reason any does not Flash but still turned on, then it will not start and I have to restart the tablet.

    Hello

I m wondering if the option (in BIOS) called Wake-Up on the keyboard is turned on.
To restore the functioning of the computer from sleep mode, press the power button or any key on the dock of the keyboard for a short period of time. But the keys on the keyboard can be used if the option is enabled.

Note: when the laptop is in Sleep Mode, the power indicator of will blink white. If the light flashes white, the computer laptop isn t set mode sleep!

  • XPS 8700 Fax / Data modem not recognized after mode 'sleep'

I have an internal modem installed pci-e.  After the system goes into sleep mode, the modem is not recognized.  Resolution is to draw the pci-e card, restart the system, then stop again, re - install the Fax/data modem and it is recognized, until the system goes into sleep or stop mode.

How can I keep the device recognition, didn't have to pull on the map and re-insert/install whenever I start?

When I look at the Device Manager after the mode standby or shutdown, the device will display hidden and not connected to the system.

System BIOS is updated to the current 10 A

Always include the version of Windows in your messages.

You may need to change sleep settings and possibly disable hybrid sleep by using the Windows power options, and/or adjust the power options in the BIOS Setup.

But I can't find out how to make the boring 'BING' when the computer goes into sleep mode. Looked in system sounds and the Control Panel, but I can't. Ether in power options...

  • Satellite Pro P100 - screen and sound problems after upgrade to Windows 7

    Hi all

I got my Satellite Pro P100 (model number is PSPAEE-00C006EN and the second digit of the serial number is '7') upgraded from Vista to Windows 7, and since then, some bugs seem to have had place - can someone help me on the following:

-L' screen DIMS increments, irrespective of the fact that I have saved my power settings to stay on FULL (battery or sector)

-No sound. Once or twice, the sound card worked and settings to say this works correctly (and you can see the movement of the graphic equalizer).
In terms of PC knowledge, I would be 5/10 (so not a dummy, but certainly not a pro! and we tried a lot of the more obvious things)

    Thank you all

    Hello

1.) if the screen dim option doesn't properly work, I recommend you to reinstall Toshiba Value added Package. This package controls these functions, the keys FN and others. Visit the Toshiba page for an update!

2.) did you check if the sound is muted if the equalizer work? In addition you can also try to update the audio driver might it work ;)

  • 8500 a does not print after mode 'sleep'

My Officejet Pro 8500 has just started having this problem in the last two weeks. Every time the screen goes off I have to power and power on again to use the fax, copy, or scan functions. I can submit a print job, print manually, or receive a fax and the video screen shows it's printing, fax, or scan, but nothing happens. I have to stop working, power works, and it works fine. That is until he's going to return to the "standby" mode.

I tried, without turning off the power, unplug the system, wait a few minutes, then by plugging it to the top. It made like a reboot. Is there any other suggestions that I can try? Have to do 10 to 15 times a day is getting old.

    Thank you

It seems that this has solved my problem completely. I lit my saving in last night and was able to receive faxes from one day to the next. Seems to work very well this morning.

  • Lose my ethernet internet connection when the computer goes into mode 'sleep '.

    I have a desktop with Windows Vista.  I have my internet through a cable company.  I've never had problems of connectivity for 2 years and then out of no where he would pass the signal after mode 'sleep'.  I had the cable company come out and check on all equipment and it's good that now, I'm still clueless and confused.  The connection icon have an exclamation point in a yellow triangle and say "limited connectivity" and «identify...» "and then I click on Local area connection status and make a diagnostic test that will get me connected to"network 2 "until it goes into sleep mode and then the process repeats.  It's boring say the least.  When I login and go to the LAKE State he says;

    IPv4 connectivity: Internet

    IPv6 connectivity: limited

    Media state: enabled

    Duration:

    Speed: 100.0 Mbps

He said that the issue is resolved after each diagnostic test, but then it happens again.  I need some help pleaseeee!

    > I need some help pleaseeee!

But you're in the wrong group! It is a problem with your network driver
or your Windows installation. You have this repost to a suitable for Windows Vista
Forum. It is possible that a newer driver from the network has a problem with sleep
mode, you should try another pilot (older or newer).
From your description, there is a problem to renew the lease of your
DHCP server (which must be running on your router), it does not use the
IP address assigned earlier or he does not do / IP address (which
should be the same) we get the router. It is also possible that the
problem is with the router or a new firmware on this subject. You should study
These two avenues, including a replacement of the router and firmware.
Another very simple solution is to configure your PC for a static IP number and
leave it like that. In the forum, I mentioned, people will be able to talk to you
through this option if you don't know how to do this.

  • P2715Q, Windows size and location change after the mode 'sleep'

    Hey

After that the monitor wakes up fashion 'sleep', all the windows are in the upper left corner and in different size just before going to sleep. It makes me crazy. Did not help. Found a few registry hacks key, but it can't be that difficult.

    I use following:

View P2715Q Dell, Windows 10 Pro GTX 1070

    Everything is up-to-date.

Really hope you can help me!

    #update 1

It has something to do with how long the mode 'sleep'. I set the Sleep mode function 1 minute, whereas the display 'falling a sleep' and woke up after 30 seconds or more. Everything was in place.

This isn't a question of monitor. It is a video card driver problem. Tiles from 1920 x 1080 uses two P2715Q sewn together by the video card driver to get the resolution of 3840 x 2160. So if the video card driver is slow to initialize the awakening from sleep mode, all open windows and icons are tossed at top left. We see this issue "tile" on AMD and Nvidia drivers. All you can do is to continue testing video card drivers latest when they are released.

    Workaround solution =
    * Spend 90% of your icons to the taskbar or the far left background
    * Close all open windows before allowing computer standby modes
