  Why you see the error: you see the error it's because our WILL is not configured to make the VUM updates and does not point to a repository VUM.

  Why VUM attempts to analyze this GOES: because it assumes that all going to will be set to VUM updated. As far as I KNOW, they will improve on this message error/logic in the near future. During this time you will see this error if you installed VUM.

  Do not know what are these errors, but if you still can't download the software and then open evidence of the TAC, available engineer will publish the image of the software required for you.

  Hi all

  In light of reviews cisco-sa-20160330-fp (CVE-2016-1345), an attempt to upgrade 6.0.1 build CME - 1213 build 6.0.1 - 1214 is not recognized.

  First attempt was to let FMC detect/download the update, but this resulted in the following message if poster "no new update currently available."

  Second attempt involved manually download the update (6.0.1 - Sourcefire_3D_Defense_Center_S3_Upgrade - 1214.sh) file of the site Web of Cisco and the Uploader on CMF and then try to install it. This resulted in the following message not "valid devices available for Sourcefire Defense Center S3 upgrade 6.0.1 3D - 1214." This update is intended for software versions higher or equal to 6.0.0 and less 6.0.1 - 1214. »

  This updated version 6.0.1 - 1214 is required to install the recent hotfix (Sourcefire_3D_Defense_Center_S3_Hotfix - 6.0.1.1 - 4. short), as shown in the download software page.

  Someone facing similar problems? All possible solutions?

  I was able to download and install successfully on my 6.0.1 - 1213 version virtual CMF.

  We have just implemented SourceFire Module version 5.4.1 on our ASA recently, but want to upgrade to version 6.0. I've been through Notes version 6.0 for the upgrade, which are dated to November 2015, but had a few questions that I was hoping someone here could answer:

  -Our FireSIGHT Management Center is a virtual appliance of 64-bit. Can we install version 6.0 on a virtual appliance VMWare running on EXSi 6.0? The only issue date list 5.1 and 5.5 ESXi ESXi.

  -Should what files I use for the update? The Release Notes say to use "SourceFire_3d_Defense_Center_S3_upgrade - 6.0.0 - 1005.sh. My choice on Cisco's Support site are: asasfr-sys - 6.0.0 - 1005.pkg, asasfr-5500 x-boot - 6.0.0 - 1005.img and Cisco_Network_Sensor_Upgrade - 6.0.0 - 1005.sh. I guess the sys-asasfr - 1005.pkg - 6.0.0 is for CME, and the Cisco_Network_Sensor_Upgrade - 6.0.0 - 1005.sh is for the ASAs.Is that right?

  -How long will the update for FMC and ASAs? The ASA is a 5516 x and the release notes look like they say that the update will take about 41 minutes.

  ESXi 6.0 is not officially supported so that your experience may vary. If you get stuck, you may TAC by telling you that you're on your own.

  "Cisco_Network_Sensor_Upgrade - 6.0.0 - 1005.sh" is used to upgrade the fire ASA power module in the Manager of firepower.

  If you were a fabricated construction or reimage then you would use the boot images and sys respectively.

  41 minutes for CME is right. As mentioned Philip, 2 hours is a better estimate of the ASA module, especially on a smaller area as the X 5516.

  I have two management centres sourcefire (devices MC2000) running 5.4.1.7 par HA. They would have been on version 6 but 6 did not support HA.

  Now 6.1 was released, it supports HA for management centres.

  Unfortunately, you cannot restore the backup version prior to the latest version.

  The task status page can present the error above, however, the help > on of interface user page indicating that the system in question is running version 5.4

  You can also view the logs to confirm this.

  We have a Windows external Vcenter 5.1 with an oracle database server. We would like to upgrade to an appliance Vcenter virtual v6 with an external oracle database. I was not able to find much info on this since most posts and blogs are based or sql.

  Is it as simple as deploying a new installation of a Vcenter virtuall device v6 and then connect it with our database current oracle and move virtual machines and turn from the old Server 5.1?

  You can not skip vcenter windows 5.1 with oracle external to the appliance database virtual 6. You can improve windows vcenter 5.1 with oracle database external to vCenter windows 6.0 with external oracle database.

  I just updated a cluster of 5.1 to 5.5, some of the VMS are virtual appliances based on Linux (most of them on CentOS) which are fairly locked down (no easy access console) critical how's this for upgrade these types of virtual machines to the latest version of VMware Tools? I'm a little OCD and it bothers me that some of the VMS are VMware Tools reports that are "Stale" :-)

• Upgrade to Virtual Appliance lost 8.3 junk and mail archive

  I have received warnings that we lack low disk space, so I was on the site of Sonicwall yesterday and noticed that version 8.3 was available, and that it allows (finally!) you can increase the disk space of the virtual machine. (I also noticed that these latest images of virtual computer has been configured to use 160 GB, and one that I started with was only 80 GB, that's what I've been stuck with.)

  Unfortunately, after I did the upgrade, my archives of spam and mail (audit) have gone. The manual said nothing would be lost and only recommended to save the settings, and although I usually save anyway, this time I did not because I did not have a problem to upgrade with this product over the years. I have create a VMware snapshot, however, and that's what saved me. I was able to quickly do a restore and returned to 8.2 with all data intact (even if, for some strange reason, I now have enough free space for junk that I receive are more updates in custody).

  In any case, it seems that I have now 2 choices:

  1 make a complete backup of settings, junk, archives, etc., made the upgrade and then restore all that is missing. Then I can also increase the allocated disk space.

  2 or do the backup and start over with a new virtual machine rather than the upgrade and then everything import. This will give me double the disk space I currently have, and a new start so all artifacts of many years of upgrades will be gone.

  3. I thought briefly that I had a third option - create a new and rather than do the backup/export of junk/archives, simply keep the old VM autour in case somebody needs something. But then I realized that I would have a hard time access with a browser if I disconnected it from the network, which I would do it to avoid conflicts with the new virtual machine.

  Any suggestions on which option would be best? I'm leaning towards # 2 yet.

• ACS appliance upgrade: 3, 0000-11 to 5.0

  We are running 2 ACS 1110 (?) devices with version 3, 0000-11 code. They are due to be upgraded to 2 new 1120 ACS ACS 5.0 devices. I looked around Cisco.com but can't find a guide step by step to such a way of upgrading.

  My questions are:

  1. ACS 5.0 support direct upgrade to 3.3.3? By that I mean, is - it possible to take a backup of the old device file and restore it to the new?
  2. If not, what are the intermediate steps? I have to take the file from backup and restore to an intermediate version of ACS?

  Hi Wei,

  No, it does not support direct upgrade to 5.x. You need to upgrade to 4.1 or 4.2 and 5.1.  I would say to work with TAC to get all the software needed to get the DB up to the version required for migration to 5.x.

  Data can also be migrated.
