SP2 install windows xp pro 32
screen is red and basically cannot change the display of the lowest settings
Hi Ssiilltt,
Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.
We would like to get a better understanding of this issue, so we can better help not only you but other users with similar problems.
(a) are faced with this problem after installing Sp 2?
Method 1:
Check the wiring to lose the monitor. Disconnect and reconnect the cable.
Method 2:
Your computer's display consists of two pieces of hardware: a video card (also known as a graphics card or display adapter card), which is installed inside your computer, and the video monitor, where you see all the text and graphics appear in your programs. Windows uses drivers to work with these devices. The majority of display problems is caused by missing, incorrect, or corrupted video drivers. Hardware failure or a bad installation are another set of problems, and external factors can also cause video problems.
If you have just installed Windows, or have changed your video card and are experiencing problems, the most likely cause is a missing or incorrect video driver. Most video cards will be accompanied by a diskette containing the drivers and other software. Before installing, check the documentation that came with the video card for you make sure that it supports your current version of Windows. If this is not the case, go to the manufacturer website and download the most recent driver for your version of Windows.
Check in the Device Manager settings if the graphics card is enabled and updated the video card.
To open the Device Manager follow the steps mentioned below.
1. right click my computer,
2. click on manage the
3. click on Device Manager.
4 locate the graphics card and to update the driver for the video card and graphics card.
For more information, see the articles listed below. How to troubleshoot hardware with Device Manager problems http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/learnmore/devicemgr.mspx how to manage devices in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283658
Hope this information is useful.
Thanks and regards.

Using windows XP pro sp 2 & 3 installation disc, but keep the blue screen dreaded towards the end of the installation.
Come on HP, I need your advice please.
Hello:
There is a very good reason that XP does not install.
Intel did not provide any sata ahci drivers for the chipset that has your laptop.
That's why you got the BSOD. XP cannot find the hard drive.
The latest processors from Intel-based notebook chipsets which had support for XP have laptops with the 7 Series chipsets.
Not to mention the fact that you wouldn't find any graphic or wireless drivers for XP even if you can get it (that you can't) install.

Cannot install Windows 10 Pro bootcamp support software
I have recently installed Windows 10 Pro on my MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid-2015, retina), OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 (15 d 21). After Windows restarted, bootcamp has started to install drivers from support and hung on the Realtek driver. Let him all night but he still has not made progress, so I closed the installation program. Now I can't find how to restart, or to download the drivers and install them manually. I had to hold the option key when you restart back into OS X. According to the oldest documents, I tried rerunning the bootcamp assistant to download USB drivers, but this version gives me the option to restore my drive to its original state. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thank you.
I couldn't find a place to download the drivers for bootcamp support and discovered in training camp 6, the drivers are downloaded on a separate partition on the SSD (instead of USB drive). So I wiped the installation of windows and repartee with the intention to copy the downloaded software (which I did). Yet once bootcamp hooked when installing the Realtek driver and did some googling. I found this post that solved my problem. https://discussions.Apple.com/thread/6567790?TSTART=0

Installed Windows 7 Pro on my desktop HP - 110 - a04. Windows 7 drivers help?
Hello
I couldn't take it any longer using Windows 8. I installed 7 Pro 64 on this machine, only to find HP doesn't provide drivers for 7 for this particular model.
The useful link below got my work to adapt (LAN) network.
Currently, I am missing the drivers below.
Network controller (possibly the wifi adapter)
SM Bus controller
(USB) Universal Serial Bus controllers
Any help on this problem is highly appreciated.
Thank you
Hello:
Please see if these drivers work:
SMBus:
https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/20775/Intel-chipset-device-software-INF-Update-utility-
USB3:
I need to make a simple set of clicks in order for me identify the model of wireless card which needs the driver.
Since there is no driver installed wireless, need a labeled device network controller in Device Manager under the other devices category. The network controller device will be somewhat ! brand next to him.
Thus, to find the network controller device, click on that and then click on the Details tab.
Now, you see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the Description of the unit.
On this list and select the second element (Hardware ID).
After the first string of characters you see in the window.

17 - e049wm will not install Windows 8 Pro
So I got this machine of killer, upgraded to a new SSD and tried to install windows 8 PRO. Windows loaded fine, but it only installed Windows 8 regularly.
Now here's the base line. Ive tried to install 5 different times, all with the same result.
1: install boot disk
2nd: post installation upgrade
3rd: enabled Legacy support in the BIOS and I tried the new facility
4th:upgrade post install with active legacy
5th: disabled Legacy and set up fees.
Another weird, that I should mention is the fact that he never ask me in setting up my license key. As soon as I check my activation it says that windows is activated, the product ID that ends in AAOEM.
If this machine, wise, the bios is processing my drive of retail as an OEM disc and pre activating Windows 8 PRO, yet do not allow me to install the professional edition. I tried 2 Windows 8 PRO 64 bit retail of different disks without success.
Even so much as ive tried the link "Get more features with a new edition of windows" and provided BOTH of my keys not activated without success, since it is reg 8 Win which installs
IM advanced technology so feel free to talk tech to me. If it is not able to do I wouild like HP to provide me with the Windows 8 PRO for my model, just the OS disk without indigestion.
Hello
My suggestion: use Windows 8 Pro upgrade DVD otherwise you must call HP to erase the firmware as shown in the following link:
Kind regards.

Windows Update crashed my newly installed Windows 7 Pro on Lenovo T60p.
The machine is a Lenovo T60p with the latest version of the BIOS. Recently I installed Windows 7 Pro. Works well until I have install all updates from Windows Update. System suddenly stops. When it turns on. It blue screens. When I try to turn it on again, he would recommend a repair, then it blue screens. I boot from the original installation CD, blue computer screens. W?
I replaced XP with Windows 7 Pro.
I got it somehow to run again by turning off the number of items (e.g., Bluetooth, card NETWORK, etc) in the BIOS Setup. After I completed the update of Windows, I'll re - activate the items one by one.
I appreciate the prompt response.
Nice day!

After installing windows XP Pro my computer does not start correctly
After you have installed Windows XP Pro on my HP Pavilion (updated to XP home), my computer will not end the restart process. I have repeatedly in a loop once the blue screen with the HP logo. When this has happened before after installing a pack of updates for XP Home, we just started in safe mode and then had it will restart at an earlier time, thus eliminating the updates. However, now when I try to start in safe mode, I get an error message that says: "Windows Setup cannot start in safe mode" and I leave safe mode. We hoped that by installing Windows XP Pro, this problem should go away. Can anyone help? I have read several other entries in the forum for similar problems, but they all have to do with updates. This is the first time I was not able to use safe mode, so now I'm stuck. I hope that I can avoid having to perform a full system recovery, since it is a long involved process and having once before, I always felt the same restart problems after installing updates.
PA bear,
Thank you for help... After reading several posts in the forum, one of them reminded people to check with the manufacturer of the computer so that possible solutions... and this is the solution here, I wish I thought of him earlier... I did a system recovery to remove the Windows HP Pro and return to the original version of the default value. Then I went to the HP site and downloaded the patch according to their directions. Problems fixed! :-)
Any PERSON HAVING HARD REBOOT YOUR HP PAVILION (with an AMD processor) after you install Windows XP service pack 2 or 3 updates:
HP has a patch that solved all my problems. Clearly, service packs contain information for Intel processors that is in conflict with AMD processors in many HP Pavilion desktop computers. You can go to their customer service solutions website and download the patch. Since I did it, I had no other problems. I wish just that I had discovered the solution until I had to do a full system recovery.
If your computer hangs on reboot 'loop', see if this info. HP will help you:
If you have had problems with XP updates, including service pack 2 or 3, try this page:
Before you install Windows XP service pack 3
Please pass on to other similar issues.

Why I can't install Windows 7 pro on HP 2000-2d70dx
When I try to install windows 7 pro 64 bit on my HP 2000 - 2d70dx is says something about an invalid? source. If I try windows 7 pro 32 bit told me that I must install an operating system - never to read the installation CD. CD 32-bit & 64-bit are the Microsoft installation CD
I tried several auto start of the CD and the system always says that I must install an operating system and will not be able to boot from the CD (although boot from CD is enabled in BIOS).
Help!
Hello:
Have you enabled legacy mode (which disables the secure boot) in the BIOS?
Windows 7 will not install or run if that BIOS setting is not changed.

You probably reinstalled incorrectly. You do it from Windows? It's the wrong way to do it.
To do this properly, do not start Windows, but boot from the XP CD and follow the prompts for a clean reinstall. It will begin by formatting the drive, it is not possible to have two facilities here.
And of course, save on external data that you want to keep before you do.

I have a windows xp pro 64 - bit PC. I would like to install windows xp pro sp3 32-bit. This is a PC that was used in our Engineering Department and now will be sent to a standard user in our society. I went through the installation and when I enter the product key on the COA label a message that is not valid. Do I need a different product key to install the 32-bit version of XP?
A Windows XP 64-bit product key will not work with Windows XP 32-bit installation media. You would need a genuine Windows XP 32 - bit product key. Carey Frisch
