Sqlservr.exe nealy 300M memory at startup and growth
The sqlserver.exe service installed with the module DSC in LV 8.6 on this computer. Almost immediately, I noticed serious performance with PC problems. The hard drive was too sought permanently, and memory was swallowed up even when little or nothing was running on it.
This screenshot is taken just after the start.
A quick search on Google confirms that I'm not the only one facing this problem. So there is a good chance that it is completely unrelated with LabVIEW. But other LabVIEW programmers can see performance problems after installation.
My real concern is that I need the DSC module on a next project on three PC. These pieces will be equipment of automated tests running in another country. They must be as strong as possible.
Can someone tell me what process exactly this server is needed for?
If I don't absolutely required, I would like to permanently disable, or remove it completely.
Thank you.
Hi again Patrick
Just saw the essential link in the other post was broken and the command in the post has not worked for me. I hope that the download and installation of this and the next it will do. Download while I'm typing this so I let you know how it goes.

I have a friends Compac laptop and he managed to stop loading explorer.exe when starting after logon is complete. I can't for the life of me remember what I have to do to restore this process in the startup routine so that his office will be in charge. He has an extraordinary number of startups, but he managed to remove this (essential) program, especially in lists of useless junk that is responsible.
It's a compact with an Intel processor running Vista and of course it doesn't have the ERD. There is a recovery on the hard drive partition and if I knew how to use it, maybe this would a repair option, but I'm not clear on how to use either because there is no literature or what he had with the computer. By way of explanation, he is a foster child and had been tossed around a lot, so it's not too surprise that it doesn't have any of these materials.

This is a popular remedy for this situation:
It seems that the last update for Windows Media Player may contribute to this problem when the system has the Windows Driver Foundation Service active and running.
Unless you write your own drivers for XP and using the Windows Driver Foundation Service to help you debug, you should disable the WDF Service.
Click Start, run and enter in the box:
services.msc
Click OK to launch the Services Applet
Locate the Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework Service, right-click right the Service, select properties and choose disabled and OK your way out of the Services Applet to save the changes.
Note that you will not be able to 'Stop' Service first, but it's OK.
Restart your system (the WDF service is now disabled) and check your failure condition now.

Hello
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
I understand that explorer.exe increases the size of the memory and the screen freezes. I'll be happy to help you with your query. Let me ask you;
- When was the last time it was working fine?
- You did it no particular change in the computer before the show?
The issue could be related to any recent change in software or hardware on the computer or any third-party software conflict. In addition, it is recommended that you use unique security software at a time so that he would not come into conflict with other firewalls.
We will follow the methods below and check.
Method 1: Run the troubleshooter of Performance.
To optimize the performance of Windows, try to use the resolution of Performance problems to automatically find and fix problems. The resolution of performance problems check issues that could slow down the performance of your computer, such as how many users is currently connected to the computer and if multiple programs are running at the same time.
Open the performance troubleshooting utility by clicking the Start button , and then click Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Under system and security, click check for performance issues.
Method 2: Start the computer in safe mode, and then perform the clean boot in order to avoid any conflict of third party software.
Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode.
See: , start your computer in safe mode
Step 2: Perform the clean boot
Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.
How to perform a clean boot in Windows
Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.
Additional information:
Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

Hi HiteshAstan,
one) don't you recall making any changes to the computer before this happened?
(b) what exactly happens when you sign in to your account? You get a specific error message?
Step 1: Let us check if the problem persists in safe mode
Access the menu advanced startup options by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts. In the advanced startup options select safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode
If the problem persists, you can deduct that the user account is corrupted

Startup and loading Different programs
Computer is very slow at startup and constantly get different and various Windows error messages such as:
1. Windows Media Player has stopped working.
2. Windows Media Center Store Update Manager no longer works
3 Kbd.exe stopped working and was closed
4 search index has stopped working and was closed.
5 Svchost, a few things of Protocol and other
Here are some of the examples, I have seen many others.
As I said, the computer became very slow to start once it arrives on the desk. I ran registry cleaners, disk cleaners, defragmentation... etc, etc. The loading of any program from the desktop is extremely slow, but once they charge they seem to work well, except when they are required to "load" other things.
I'm not a computer expert, but I do ok with repair of problems on my PC and others. This however, left me speechless. It seems to be a problem with Windows programs by default and, possibly, a hard drive problem. Any help would be appreciated, and if there is more information that anyone might need, I will be happy to provide it.

Select the VIEW tab, uncheck the RESTORE PREVIOUS FOLDER WINDOWS at the CONNECTION.Here's another option to remove this problem: http://www.technize.com/my-documents-folder-opens-at-windows-startup/. Make sure that you are in the registry and I would only delete the Documents folder reference rather than all - but it is up to you. I would like to make a registry backup system and the restore point before starting this procedure to be on the safe side.
==================================================================================================================================
Here is another similar option worth a try, if others do not work (same for system restore point and registry backup):
Click Start > run Regedit > move > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ logiciels\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Winlogon
In RHS Panel, change the value of "Userinit" to: C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe
Now, go to:

In RHS Panel, change the value of "PersistBrowsers" to 0
Reset. Click Start > run Regedit > move > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ logiciels\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Winlogon
If this does not work, go tohttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and run Autoruns and click all. You are looking for something, with the documents folder, and when you find it, uncheck the box to prevent it from starting at startup (it probably isn't there because it uses a different process to open it, but it's worth a try since different processes was the one before this one and if you are here it means that you did not). Check the entire list as there may be several entries. When you're done, click OK and restart. The file should no longer start. If by chance you find explorer.exe listed there, then try disabling that and see what happens. This can cause a lot of problems, so be ready to CTRL-ALT-DEL and file run Explorer.exe to restart the program and then go back and check the box - it sure is not the solution.
If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem. Follow the procedures described in the article. Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall. Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!
In RHS Panel, change the value of "Userinit" to: C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe
Now, go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ logiciels\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ advanced Explorer\
In RHS Panel, change the value of "PersistBrowsers" to 0
