SRP547W cannot create advanced firewall rules

Hi everyone, in advance, I thank you for your help.

I have a SRP547W that I have configured the following:

LAN 192.168.15.1/24 VLAN1

LAN 10.10.10.1/24 VLAN10

LAN 10.10.2.1/24 VLAN100

ADSL PPPOE

Software DMZ goes to 10.10.10.x and another at 10.10.2.x - it works OK

Now, I want to use the advanced firewall features to block all ports except those that I need that software DMZ forwards everything.

When I try to create rules I get message "values are not valid" no matter what I try.

I want to create explicitly authorizes the rules, followed a refusal of any rule for each IP addresses used for DMZ software

I thought I should do like that? Can you please confirm? I have the good for the IP of Destination address subnet mask? Or should it be 255.255.255.0? It does not make a difference anyway

Details of the strategy
Name
Value
Source IP address 0.0.0.0
Source subnet mask 0.0.0.0
Destination IP address 10.10.10.x
Destination subnet mask 255.255.255.254
Protocol Any
Source port Any
Port of destination 443
Action Permit
Annex Every day
Times 24 hours

Thank you!

Hi Jai,

First of all, I would recommend that you upgrade to the current firmware posted on Cisco.com - that's what I tested with earlier and it worked.

So assuming you have two entries of DMZ software, lets say:

1.1.1.165-> 10.10.10.100 and

-> 10.10.2.100 1.1.1.166

Create rules as follows:

1. from WAN1 to LAN10, source dest proto anything sport TCP dport 443 10.10.10.100/255.255.255.255 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0

2. starting at WAN1 to LAN100 source dest proto anything sport TCP dport 443 10.10.2.100/255.255.255.255 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0

3. from the WAN1 to everything, 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 10.10.0.0/255.255.0.0 any sport proto dest source any dport all refuse

Ensure that the priority of the rules are in this order.

See you soon

Andy

  • SRP521W Advanced Firewall Bug?

    Using a SRP251W-U 1.2.5 firmware

I forwarded the two ports, one is a simple port 22 to the local LAN Server.  The other is a port forward for the external port 81 internal port 80 on the same LAN Server.

Using the configuration of the network-> Firewall-> IPV4-> firewall settings advanced

I would like to only allow certain ip access source for shipments of two ports.  I have the following rules:

    Priority 1 - Source: x, x, x, x - Dest 0.0.0.0 - Proto THAT ALL - Source Port ALL - Dest Port 81 - PERMIT

    Priority 2 - Source: x.x.x.x - Dest 0.0.0.0 - Proto ANY - ANY Source - Dest Port 22 - DRIVER port

    Priority 3 - Source: 0.0.0.0 - 0.0.0.0 - Proto ALL Dest - Source Port - Dest Port 22 - DENY

    Priority 4 - Source: 0.0.0.0 - 0.0.0.0 - Proto ALL Dest - Source Port - Dest Port 81 - DENY

The above rules work very well to block port 22.  Only the IP address of x.x.x.x can reach port 22 - perfect.

The problem is the rule for port 81 does not work. Each IP can reach port 81.

Y at - it a bug in the advanced firewall rules or NAT rules making sure if you translate an external port which differs by an internal port that does not have the advanced firewall?

I need the ability to NAT port forward external port 81 to internal port 80 AND only allow that some sources IPs to be able to access the external ports 81.

    Hi Dan,.

It can be a little confusing, but the thing you have to remember with advanced firewall rules is that they are applied after the NAT translation.

If you change your first rule to reflect the internal address of the destination server and use port 80 as the port of destination, you should find that it works.

Rule 22 port just happened to work that you not convert that one.

Although this might seems a little backwards, it offers more flexibility because it allows to create different rules for internal hosts sitting behind the same public IP address.

Running a WindowsXP Professional, I tried twice to my systems backup using the Backup Wizard. Twice tried to use advanced mode to save. Twice I tried to insert a disc into my drive and started to click on column e ASR. so to start the long process of backing up my files, after almost two hours later my backup files already completed, a screen appears saying: this isn't in my Wizard floppy drive cannot create ASR inside. ID must be present, for the new rule Id must be '0' while that for others it should kept as what. The reason for this error which I believe is the same. Replacement of 1021 with 0 should solve this problem. http://blogs.VMware.com/security/2011/11/using-the-VShield-API.html should also be useful to start with vShield firewall App REST API.

I find that all of the HFM dimension in research are gray, not available to use.
It seems that target (HFM) is inactive in FDM.
I have no idea, I subscribe to the FM11X-G5-E lens adapter.

    News in detail:

In the field of validation rule, you need to. to activate the search. Once you do that the dimensions will be available for selection.

  • Windows incoming/outgoing firewall rules works do not (access denied)

When I'm going to define either an inbound or outbound rule in windows firewall 7 I get mutiple messages "access denied."  I am trying to allow files and printers, sharing presets but when I cliquerai on finish, I get access denied messages.  Please notify.

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question on the Microsoft forums. According to the description, you cannot create a rule of incoming/outgoing traffic in Windows Firewall and get a "access denied" error. We will perform a few steps and try to solve the problem.

You have a third-party antivirus installed on the computer program?

This problem normally occurs when the firewall services do not work correctly. All the dependency service could be the cause of the issue.

I suggest you perform the steps mentioned in the article:

Some services do not start in Windows Vista and Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943996

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following windows Help article.

MMC could not create the snap. The snap-in may not be installed correctly.

Name: Windows Firewall with advanced security.

    CLSID:FX: {b05566ac-fe9c-4368-be02-7a4cbb7cbe11}

I tried to add snap-in window firewall but gave the same error.

I uninstalled Northon completely; UpToDate Micorsoft essential security and works very well.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello

    1. Since when are you facing this problem?

2 are there any changes or updates made on the computer?

    3. have you used the Norton removal tool to uninstall Norton from the computer?

    Method 1:

I suggest to create a new user profile and then check if the problem persists.

To create a new profile, you must first create a new user account. When the account is created, a profile will also be created.
    Reference:

    Create a user profile.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

    Now search for the question.

If the new user profile resolves the problem, you can screw the corrupted profile and re - install the applications and programs.

    Reference:
Difficulty of a corrupted user profile
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

    Method 2:

If you have not used the Norton removal tool to uninstall Norton from the computer, I suggest to see the link and try to run the tool.

  • Cannot create a logical switch

    Hello

Recently I tried to migrate from my transport VXLAN area to a new distributed virtual switch. Everything from the Installation of NSX page seems good. The controllers are all green, home preparation tab looks like (for the most part) well (more on that in a second) and the Transport of VXLAN and areas of Transport sections all good glance as well.

The problem is that when I go to create a new logical switch, I get a vague answer from the GUI after hitting 0% task in the recent task pane: "the last operation has failed for the entity with the following error message. . Internal server error has occurred. »

The NSX Manager log file is much more detailed. It seems to me that there is something seeking NSX that is not registered, or something that is registered that NSX does not expect. No idea how I can fix this problem? The only thing I suspect is that maybe the vSphere cluster empty has no host configured for VXLAN (config in VXLAN Transport State is "not configured"), but I was part of the cluster Transport area.

Here is the log file that contains the generated errors when I tried to create a logical switch.

I restarted Manager NSX, but it did not help.

Are you familiar with the NSX via the REST API management?  Run this through the REST API to force remove.

    DELETE https:/172.22.58.74/api/2.0/vdn/controller/controller-16?forceRemoval=true

Assuming that 172.22.58.74 is the IP of NSX Manager and controller-16 is the name of the controller.

Once it's over, migrate the multicast transport area.  Then, redeploy controllers.  Once completed, migrate the area of transport in Unicast mode.  Then, try to create a logical switch.

  • FVS336Gv3 multi-NAT inbound firewall rules does not

I have about 30 Netgear FVS338 and a few FVS336Gv2 routers in use. I use for firewall and provide multi-NAT between industrial machines and WAN. The configuration was changed on Gv3 models and I can't get an answer behind the firewall or router in the diagnostics page when you use the WAN address.

In the examples below the WAN is 10.62.

Figure 1. Two different devices with two different configuration options.

Figures 2 and 3. The first is bad - it would only connect from this address. Have I set up another correctly to the NAT WAN to LAN 10.3.110.215 address 10.62.31.55 address?

Q1: Is Figure 3 configured correctly?

Q2: Why is it forcing me to create a range of addresses? On the older routers, I had the opportunity to address.

Q3: Is anyone aware of any problem with this router?

For anyone having the same problem, the FVS336Gv3 requires the manual addition of each new address WAN-side. He is buried in the menu structure:

Figure 1. Network configuration | WAN settings | WAN configuration. WAN1 - Edit.

Figure 2. Select the secondary addresses.

Figure 3. Add the required WAN addresses.

Now configure the inbound firewall rules:

Figure 4. Security | Firewall rules. Add or change. Note that the WAN secondary addresses are available in the drop-down list address WAN IP.

    Password

There seems to be a problem with this router about the session timeout. I got them several times on the navigation menu and log on again and renavigate. Idle time-out is set to 90 minutes. I never saw this problem on routers earlier.

Also, note that the password field now has a limited character set. for example, it does not accept ' $'.

  • Component ActiveX cannot create object wrong when VB script call a dll

    Hello

I'm new to VB and .NET. We have a SQL job in our application (developed by someone else) hosted on Win Server 2003, who calls the VB script and this script inturns calls a DLL.

When I run this job, I get the error - component ActiveX cannot create object.

I tried to print the source of the error (by Err.Source and it gives me 'Microsoft VBScript runtime error').

Any help would be appreciated. Let me know if I could extract more information.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi SenLady,

The question you have posted here is related to Visual Basic and would be better suited on MSDN forum. I suggest you post your question on the following link.

  • "due to an unidentified problem, windows cannot display windows firewall settings" fixed but still can not visit some sites and the laptop now turns off the coast on me. What should I do?

I have an Apire one laptop with Windows xp service pace 3. I had to restore it to factory about 3 years ago. Some time after that the sound system began to slow and the Synaptics mouse stop working properly. I can move the pointer, but the left click does not work. It works in safe mode but not in normal windows. I used the Acer eRecovery for correct, but it did not work. I tried to download the driver for the mouse on the internet, but some how it could stop the download. I gave up at tring to fix. Some time in late March or early April, I couldn't access internet and after 22:30. I ran the diagnosis that is provided by internet explore and he said that the HTTP and HTTPS worked but the FTP did not work. AVG later told me my firewall is disabled and there was the possibility to reactivate it and I did. After internet explore stop allowing you to enter certain sites that I wanted to enter, I ran the Diagnostics again and he told me that a firewall client has been the cause of the problem. I tried to control my firewall setting, but had that "due to a problem not identified, windows cannot display the firewall settings". I thought AVG was the problem, so I have unintalled then he returned and attempted to access the firewall but got the same message. I typed in Google MySapce and found this site. I followed a few directions given to others in the thread started by joecarpenter33 and discovered that my firewall has been deleted and Base filtering engine has been deleted also. I downloaded and ran Malwarebytes ANti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition and tdsskiller. MBAM has found a Trojan. The results of the analysis is less to:
