start-up problems for my pc

Desktop computer: product not. KQ497AA-ABA

Operating system: Windows Vista

Question: Anyone know how to solve startup problems when you have to push the button on top of the computer to turn on and turn off a lot of times to get the computer to enter the blue HP screen (for the evacuation start, recovery of the system etc.) and the load? In addition, my computer won't stay on more than 10 or 15 minutes. He stops and try to reboot, leaving stuck on the blue screen again. Of course, I'd appreciate any help!

Thank you wb2001, can I suggest a bios update to this topic because it set some themal and restart situations:

Fix the version 5.43/improvement:

-Improves the thermal performance of the system.
-Curve of fan updates for support of the processor.
-DECIDED problem with the system seems to hang when restarting if a HP Personal Media Drive is connected.
-DECIDES that problem with the system suspended when 7 GB of RAM is installed.
-Updates of the Diagnostic tools hardware v4880.05.

    Hello

    Try the methods provided below and see if they help to resolve the issue.

    Method 1:

    This looks like a problem with Windows Aero, I would say that you update the card drivers video from the manufacturer's website and check if that helps.

  • Start-up problems: Windows Vista

    My mother has a Sony Vaio VGN NR430E; a few months ago she started having problems with the start up. His laptop keeps restarting until it had a chance to take charge of the user. It allows you to choose different options such as safe mode and last good known configuration, just start to name a few, however is not a difference that one you choose because the end result is the same which is: it restarts; before you restart, you see a blue screen, but only in a fraction of a second and then it starts again. I want to format it, but she didn't burn the recovery disks. How would I be able to solve this problem?

    If no one responds to you:

    http://eSupport.Sony.com/Perl/select-System.pl?PRODTYPE=1, 24,26,66,9,70,5,72

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    You can try this:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

    Hi @Ezedin,

    Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

    I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook dv6-3121nr and issues with start/restart problem after downloading the software.

    Here is a link to put the laptop in Safe Mode. From there, you can uninstall the software that is causing this closure.

    If that doesn't help, you could return in safe mode and then you can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and do not go well on the Notebook.You may need to consider a day before the software has been downloaded and the question that's happened.

    Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    It's a shame you don't know the exact name of the virus

    Malware can cause non-genuine messages appear

    but try this:

    Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/MBAM.php

    You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill

    If it does not remove the problem and or work correctly in normal mode do work above in safe mode with networking

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.
  • I had this problem for a few days now, everytime I turn on my computer, it immediately goes into recovery.

    OK, so I've had this problem for a few days now, everytime I turn on my computer, it immediately goes into recovery.

    It says: "Please choose an option:

    Start the repair Microsoft Windows environment

    Reinstall Windows

    Advanced options

    "Exit and restart the computer"

    I tried all the options, the demand for my keyboard and language input method, and then he says: "use recovery tools that can help solve the problems of Windows startup. Select an operating system to repair. If your operating system isn't listening, click Load Drivers and then install the drivers for your hard drives. »

    There is no operating system listed and when I click Load Drivers, everything that happens is a folder called "System32".

    There is another option, which is "Restore your computer using a system image you created earlier."

    This does not work either.

    So now the second option has two ways to sort, 'Start Windows System Restore' I tried before and now does not work. There are also "Start Full destructive recovery" which I also tried, but there passed the first hurdle, even if she says it should take 30 to 60 minutes.

    Advanced Options I can't use, because I'm not a user of advanced computing. It offers 3 options, although "Chkdsk", "Notepad" and "Command Prompt".

    Even when I put in the Windows 7 disc, it does nothing.

    This has all started after I had a few problems with the Sims 4 and since I changed my keyboard, but I don't know that could be the problem.

    Hello

    Thank you for the update.

    You can use the Bootrec.exe tool in the recovery Windows (WINRE) environment to troubleshoot and repair the following items in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

  • I started having problems with the wireless mouse and the carpet of my laptop - Lenovo ThinkPad T420 mouse.

    Original title: right click on the mouse itself activating

    I borrowed a USB to a person at work and I started having problems with the wireless mouse and the carpet of my laptop - Lenovo ThinkPad T420 mouse. The left click of two devices works normally, however, sometimes she does not respond to clicks and it takes a few seconds to work. The left button was constantly starts to turn on, as if he was stuck. After that I hit Alt + Tab and modify windows it stops for a few moments and starts at a later date. I havo not found a specific condition or a combination of keys that may trigger the fault.

    I read a few posts on discussion forums, but all say that it could be a hardware problem, which I think is not, because both devices have the same problem and I'm sure it all started with the insertion of the borrowed memory stick. I scanned the readers to help Symantec's EndPoint Protection and installed Microsoft Security Essentials and performed a full scan, but found nothing. I even restored the system, but the problem remains.

    Should I get a different antivirus? How can I find the cause so I can find a better targeted solution?

    Try to install the drivers from this link and check.

    Hello

    I have a dell studio 1558 laptop, core i5, 7(home premium), 64-bit, 4 GB ram operating system windows, I bought it in 2010.Now I get a poblem when starting after each time that I stopped him. It shows a msg for installation or recovery and after pressing F2 when I enter setup it resets date August 20, 2009 12:00 am one here it shows also the bios: video bios with a shadow: obscured. What is a problem for me? and why the date changes it self with the precedent1 every time at startup? How solveb this problem?

    Original title: shady BIOS, video bios with a shadow

    You must reset the default BIOS and change the BIOS utility setup time. In most cases, it will solve this problem.

    More information about the BIOS: http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?docid=DSN_148562

    If this does not resolve the problem, I think that the main problem is the battery from motherboard or Ram problem.

    It is best if you go to the Dell service center and tell about this problem.

  • Start PC problems & browser slow loading images

    I don't know if anyone can help, but my laptop has recently been very, very slowly with the internet when it comes to watching videos uploaded by friends on facebook or look a photos. Videos stream very badly, and the pictures to load very slowly. For this reason, I decided to restore the laptop to factory settings. Initially all seamed to be much better, but a few days later and the slow speeds returned. I now wonder if it's something to do with the recent series of Microsoft Updates, which just reinstalled again after my factory reset. Anyone with similar problems?

    I have a 1 year Acer Aspire 5733Z running under Windows 7 64-bit on Intel Pentium P6200, 4 GB DDR
    My preference goes to Google Chrome, but all browsers are the same, Chrome, IE, Firefox, all slow.
    I also experienced start-up problems turning on my laptop. He will try to turn it on and cut several times, maybe 20 times before arriving at the Windows start page. This just started to happen in August and was "healed" since my factory reset 3 days ago, but he did it again this morning, switching itself on & 2 or 3 times before you start.
    I am convinced that my problems were caused by the recent updates of August Microsoft Windows, because everything was ok until recently and was allowed after reset of my factory, until Windows fully updated itself again.

    Hello. Thank you for taking the time to provide this information. I did a full disk check and fix today, and things seem to be working ok at the moment. I don't know what exactly the disk check, if anything, and what would be purely coincidental. To answer your questions:

    1. I use Wireless internet connection.
    2. no changes were made to the computer before the original problem I can think. However, the problem, to some extent, continued after I did a factory reset and all updates reinstalled themselves. Immediately after the reset did improve things.
    3. If there is a problem with an update, I think maybe it's a .NET Framework 4 updates, that there were just a few which I will list below:
    KB2742595
    KB2468871
    KB2737019
    KB2789642
    KB2840628
    KB2729449
    KB2604121
    KB2804576
    KB2656351
    KB2835393
    KB2533523
    KB2600217
    KB2836939
    KB2468871
    KB2729449
    KB2604121
    KB2533523
    I tried to uninstall all the to see if it would help, not realizing they would all settle down again with the computer, the automatic update value. If the problem persists or comes back, I'll try to do a process of elimination by performing some of your suggestions and/or uninstall the updates one by one.
    Thanks again.

    Hello

    The upgrade to 8.1 was perhaps not the best thing to do...

    A lot of people are having problems with it also.

    If it is a desktop computer, have you checked the wall outlet and the plug on the back of the computer?

    Your point about starting the tone certainly as a power or a hard disk problem...

    The problem with you mouse pointer could be related to a feature called quick start...

    Your other problem also, perhaps... Try to turn it off and see if it helps...

    This feature works only when you make a STOP and then start.

    It is not perform a RESTART.

    Turn on or off...

    Go to the control panel... Power options, and then select choose the power what buttons on the left.

    Then select change settings that are currently unavailable near the top center of the screen...

    Lower on the window, uncheck the quick start.
