startup using sqlplus use spfile
I am facing a strange problem. I don't know if this is normal behavior in the CCR or not.When I start the database using srvctl, it always uses the spfile shared, which is located in the commune of ASM diskgroup.
Then, when I start the database using sqlplus, always look in the directory of $ORACLE_HOME/dbs and mount init < SID > .ora file (there is no spfile does exist in this directory). So I can't change settings dynamically. Could someone explain to me why is it so?.
Hello Silva,
I'll show you an example to clarify:
Example:
Now, bounce back you, data and services and try to start the database, then it will use spfile as you expected. Thank you Published by: Suresh Gautam on November 24, 2009 21:13
Certainly, oracle research parameter file in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs by default in the RAC environment, this is a normal behavior of the CARS. As for your explanation, I can confirm that you do not have
Let's say you have 3 node RAC (NŒUD: ud1, Node2, Node3)
and get the name myservice Service (Instance: myservice1, myservice2, myservice3) respectively.
You have shared spfile(i.e. spfilemyservice.ora) ASM diskgroup that is accessible from each node.
In this case you supposed to create pfile (i.e. init
and place the container as shown below:
SPFILE ='
Node1:
make a file $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/initmyservice1.ora and have SPFILE ='
Node2:
make a file $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/initmyservice2.ora and have SPFILE ='
Node3:
make a file $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/initmyservice3.ora and have SPFILE ='

Yes, you can use SPFILE. RMAN automatically copies the file to the server of the destination host settings.

RMAN automatically copies the file to the server settings in the destination host and updates the settings file to the server on the host of destination based on the values supplied in PARAMETER_VALUE_CONVERT and SET. For example:

at startup, use firefox as your browser
I have an old version of Safari and the latest Firefox browser for my Mac OS 10.6.8
I put the Version of Safari 5.1.10 (6534.59.10) to use Firefox as my default browser 37.0.2. Apple can't stand OS 10.6.8 with latest Safari browser.I have set Firefox to Always check if firefox is your default browser.
On the general tab of Firefox 37.0.2, it says "Firefox is your default browser".
When I stop and restart my Mac always opens using Safari.
What should I do to get it to open in Firefox?On my Mac OS 10.6.8 there is no 'users and groups', but I was able to 'fix' my problem. I found a "login items" tab by selecting accounts > then selected my Admin > clicked on "Login items" and removed from Safari, Firefox added and then restarted my computer.
Thanks to user293 for an answer that gave me an idea on what to try! And it worked! -

Lightroom 6 hang at startup using Windows 10
It's simple, Lightroom 6 locks into place on the opening screen when starting. I am on Windows 10 and use Lightroom 6 without problem since January 2016. I haven't added any new program recently, but I haven't updated on automatic Windows and so something new can have asked recently. I uninstalled and reinstalled all the products Microsoft C++ as advised by Adobe in their troubleshooting information. Have now uninstalled Lightroom 6, I'm afraid I'll have to use one of my a limited number of possibilities to download something that was not my fault, but a problem with software compatibility. Any help appreciated. Thank you.
Turn off the graphics processor can solve the problem, but as you can not run the program, this must be done manually by editing the preferences file.
But you first need to install LR. There is no limit to how many times you can download.
Go to Install Photoshop Lightroom and download and install LR6.
Then download and install the 6.5.1 update from the same page.
If LR still refuses to start, follow these steps:
Make sure that Lightroom is not running. (to be sure, look for lightroom.exe in the Task Manager and stop the process if it is there)
With Windows Explorer, navigate to the
C:\Users\[your username] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences.
Open the Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs file in a text editor such as Notepad. Close to the end of the file there is a line that says useAutoBahn = true, - change that to useAutoBahn = false,
Save and close the file. Now, launch Lightroom.

Why I can't use the 'copy' of the controlfile created by RMAN?

Here's my question after tons of research and test without have the right solutions.
Target:
(1) I have a 12.1.0.2 database unique main enterprise 'testdb' as database instance running on the server "node1".
(2) I created physical standby database "stbydb" on the server "node2".
(3) DataGuard running on the mode of MaxAvailability (SYNC) with roll forward in real time 12 default c apply.
(4) primary database has 3 groups of one-man redo. (/oraredo/testdb/redo01.log redo02.log redo03.log)
(5) I've created 4 standby redo logfiles (/oraredo/testdb/stby01.log stby02.log stby03.log stby04.log)
(6) I do RMAN backup (database and archivelog) on the site of relief only.
(7) I want to use this backup for full restore of the database on the primary database.
He is a DR test to simulate the scenario that has lost every primary & Eve total servers.
Here is how to save, on the database pending:
(1) performance 'alter database recover managed standby database Cancel' to ensure that compatible data files
(2) RMAN > backup database;
(3) RMAN > backup archivelog all;
I got elements of backup and copied to primary db Server something like:
/Home/Oracle/backupset/o1_mf_nnndf_TAG20151002T133329_c0xq099p_.BKP (data files)
/Home/Oracle/backupset/o1_mf_ncsnf_TAG20151002T133329_c0xq0sgz_.BKP (spfile & controlfile)
/Home/Oracle/backupset/o1_mf_annnn_TAG20151002T133357_c0xq15xf_.BKP (archivelogs)
So here's how to restore, on the main site:
I clean all the files (data files, controlfiles oder all gone).
(1) restore spfile from pfile
RMAN > startup nomount
RMAN > restore spfile from pfile ' / home/oracle/pfile.txt' to ' / home/oracle/backupset/o1_mf_ncsnf_TAG20151002T133329_c0xq0sgz_.bkp';
(2) modify pfile to convert to db primary content. pFile shows below
*.audit_file_dest='/opt/Oracle/DB/admin/testdb/adump '
* .audit_trail = "db".
* full = '12.1.0.2.0'
*.control_files='/oradata/testdb/control01.ctl','/orafra/testdb/control02.ctl'
* .db_block_size = 8192
* .db_domain = "
*.db_file_name_convert='/testdb/','/testdb /'
* .db_name = "testdb".
* .db_recovery_file_dest ='/ orafra'
* .db_recovery_file_dest_size = 10737418240
* .db_unique_name = "testdb".
*.diagnostic_dest='/opt/Oracle/DB '
* .fal_server = "stbydb".
* .log_archive_config = 'dg_config = (testdb, stbydb)'
* .log_archive_dest_2 = "service = stbydb SYNC valid_for = (ONLINE_LOGFILE, PRIMARY_ROLE) db_unique_name = stbydb'"
* .log_archive_dest_state_2 = 'ENABLE '.
*.log_file_name_convert='/testdb/','/testdb /'
* .memory_target = 1800 m
* .open_cursors = 300
* runoff = 300
* .remote_login_passwordfile = "EXCLUSIVE."
* .standby_file_management = "AUTO".
* .undo_tablespace = "UNDOTBS1.
(3) restart db with updated file pfile
SQLPLUS > create spfile from pfile='/home/oracle/pfile.txt'
SQLPLUS > the judgment
SQLPLUS > startup nomount
(4) restore controlfile
RMAN > restore primary controlfile to ' / home/oracle/backupset/o1_mf_ncsnf_TAG20151002T133329_c0xq0sgz_.bkp';
RMAN > change the editing of the database
(5) all elements of backup catalog
RMAN > catalog starts by ' / home/oracle/backupset / '.
(6) restore and recover the database
RMAN > restore database;
RMAN > recover database until the SNA XXXXXX; (this YVERT is the maximum in archivelog backups that extends beyond the scn of the backup of the data file)
(7) open resetlogs
RMAN > alter database open resetlogs;
Everything seems perfect, except one of the file log roll forward pending is not generated
SQL > select * from v$ standby_log;
ERROR:
ORA-00308: cannot open archived log ' / oraredo/testdb/stby01.log'
ORA-27037: unable to get file status
Linux-x86_64 error: 2: no such file or directory
Additional information: 3
no selected line
I intended to use the same backup to restore primary basic & helps record traffic and the downtime between them in the world of real output.
So I have exactly the same steps (except STANDBY restore CONTROLFILE and not recover after database restore) to restore the database pending.
And I got the same missing log file.
The problem is:
(1) complete alert.log filled with this error, not the concern here
(2) now repeat it in real time apply won't work since the Party shall LGWR shows always "WAITING_FOR_LOG."
(3) I can't delete and re-create this log file
Then I tried several and found:
The missing standby logfile was still 'ACTIVE' at present RMAN backup was made.
For example, on db standby, under Group #4 (stby01.log) would be lost after the restoration.
SQL > select GROUP #, SEQUENCE #, USE (s), the STATUS from v$ standby_log;
GROUP # SEQUENCE # USED STATUS
---------- ---------- ---------- ----------
4 19 ACTIVE 133632
5 0 0 UNASSIGNED
6 0 0 not ASSIGNED
7 0 0 UNASSIGNED
So until I take the backup, I tried on the primary database:
SQL > alter system set log_archive_dest_state_2 = delay;
This was the Group of standby_log side Eve #4 was released:
SQL > select GROUP #, SEQUENCE #, USE (s), the STATUS from v$ standby_log;
GROUP # SEQUENCE # USED STATUS
---------- ---------- ---------- ----------
4 0 0 UNASSIGNED
5 0 0 UNASSIGNED
6 0 0 not ASSIGNED
7 0 0 UNASSIGNED
Then, the backup has been restored correctly without missing standby logfile.
However, to change this primary database means break DataGuard protection when you perform the backup. It's not accept on the production environment.
Finally, my real questions come:
(1) what I do may not do on parameter change?
(2) I know I can re-create the control file to redo before delete and then recreate after. Is there any simple/fast to avoid the standby logfile lost or recreate the lost one?
I understand that there are a number of ways to circumvent this. Something to keep a copy of the log file waiting restoration progress and copy up one missing, etc, etc...
And yes I always have done no real-time applies "to the aid of archived logfile" but is also not accept mode of protection of production.
I just want proof that the design (which is displayed in a few oracle doc Doc ID 602299.1 is one of those) that backs up data backup works effectively and can be used to restore the two site. And it may be without spending more time to resume backups or put the load on the primary database to create the database before.
Your idea is very much appreciated.
Thank you!
Hello
1--> when I take via RMAN backup, RMAN does not redo log (ORL or SRL) file, so we cannot expect ORLs or SRL would be restored.
2nd--> when we opened the ORL database should be deleted and created
3rd--> Expecting, SRL should not be an issue.we should be able to do away with the fall.

HDD not found/detected when using the UEFI Boot
I have a HP Sleekbook 15-b035tx, which came with a windows 8 OS already installed. a few reasons, I tried to quarterback to windows 7. After several unsuccessful attempts, I finally managed to install windows 7 by changing my boot for a legacy starting sequence.
later due to lack of drivers for win 7, I installed, instead upgraded to win 8 running on existing startup (using the MBR if im not wrong). now, I want to install a new copy of victory 8 with UEFI, but the problem is when I change my boot sequence disable startup inherited, then installing win 8, I do not see my HARD drive ... im using a flash drive to install win 8 which is already in the UEFI (I used diskpart to do this).
also, when I use legacy boot and try installing windows, then the HARD drive is displayed and when I format the HARD drive and create new partitions, he created 3 partitions (System, MSR), reserved and the fourth for the OS. I tried to install the windows like this, but after installation, when I change the boot sequence in the UEFI even once, it does not startnow I want to install windows in the UEFI... and I really need help with this please ... I hope I explained the scenario... If someone wants to ask anything, please don't ... as I really need this out... and also, I would like to ask that how can I check if my HARD drive has been changed from MBR of GTP
Hello:
I can't find the specifications of product for your model - only these introduce yourself.
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/pfinder?cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&tool=&query=15-b035
They all have Intel hardware with an nVidia GT 630M graphics card.
If yours has the same characteristics, you can install W7 64 bit there without too much difficulty.
I know where all the drivers.
If you do not see the HARD drive normally you must load the sata drivers.
See if it works in uefi mode...
Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).
Extract the files on a usb flash drive.
With the flash drive and the installation of W8 media plugged into the machine, boot from the installation of W8 media.
After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.
You should now see the storage driver files listed.
If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.
Follow the prompts and I hope that the W8 should install.
If this does not work, and no one else can help out you, let me know if you want to install W7 x 64 on and I'll guide you installed the drivers you need.

I can't use my USB because of administration system or blocking USB problem.
Because of my ignorance in the use of some security as USB security guard software and changes in my control panel, now I can't access my USB drive or any external memory device. When I put any external memory via USB device, it is noticed that my USB guard is locked and that the system cannot perform it.so contact your system administrator. But I uninstalled all my software security completely and checked my boot settings and the bios and the problem is still there. so I can't use my USB or external memory device via USB port in my laptop. I use the Windows 7 operating system. so please help me through your friendly consultation.
Two thoughts. Take a look at this program and see if it finds the remains of security software http://www.revouninstaller.com/ and also to see what runs in your startup using this program.

I hope this helps.

Cannot open files by double clicking or using Open Office ' in the context menu.
Have you tried the deletion and restoration of files/shortcuts without result. Problem occurs intermittently after starting upwards. Ran malware & virus - controls nothing reported. Have not installed any software recently that would coincide with the problem. Am running Win 7 (32-bit) on a Compaq laptop.
Hello
You can follow the suggestions mentioned below and check with the question.
Method 1: Perform the clean boot, try to open the files and check.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
NOTE: once you check the clean boot feature configure Windows to use a Normal startup using step 7 proposed in the above mentioned link.
Method 2: Run a full scan of the computer by using the following antivirus applications.
Microsoft Safety Scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Malicious software removal tool: http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/malware-removal.aspx
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
Method 3: Check the functionality in another user account.
If it works in a different user account, then the user account is damaged.
Create a new user account
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/create-a-user-account
Copy files to the new user profile on the old profile
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile
I hope this helps.

Bulk loading cached using dumps
Hello
I can load the values from table in my application at startup using dumps adapter. do we not have any method in the cache
store.
Thank you
-TrapaniHi thiru,.
If you know all the keys of the table must be loaded into the cache, then you simply issue a cache.getAll () keys into manageable pieces.
If you do not know the key, then you will need to write an application of custom loader which acts as a cache client and updates the data in the cache.
You must also notify the cache store in advance that it is a preload, there is NO need to rewrite the data in the DB. This can be done either by an attribute that is designated for this indicator in the value of the cache itself, or the cache store cannot read a specific key replicated a cache to see if the phase preload is ongoing or not.
Also, please see the following page:

Change the cpu count parameter in spfile
Hi all
I need to change the count parameter CPU in spfile in a production database, as we intend to add a processor on the server
Since this is a static setting. I believe that DB bounce is required
sqlplus / as sysdba
SQL > alter system set cpu_count = 3 scope = spfile
modified system.
And then bounce the DB to apply changes in the MS file.
Can anyone confirm that this is the right way to do it?
(or) should we create pfile and then manually change (number of CPUs) and then use pfile at startup and then create spfile and bounce the database again to make the changes
Thank you
Mandine
Unless you want to restrict an instance to use only a subset of the available processors (called 'instance caging', part of the Resource Manager) you can leave the number of processors in the area by default. But anyway, it's a dynamic parameter, so you can change any time:
orclz >
orclz > sho parameter cpu_count;
VALUE OF TYPE NAME
------------------------------------ ----------- --------------------
cpu_count integer 4
orclz > alter system set cpu_count = 2;
Modified system.
orclz > sho parameter cpu_count;
VALUE OF TYPE NAME
------------------------------------ ----------- --------------------
cpu_count integer 2

How to open node2 usng spfile RAC that will remain in the ASM disk?
Hello
I installed oracle 11g r2 rac with asm into two nodes. Operating system is hp-Unix.
I installed oracle11g Active Data Guard using the single database only.
The RAc and Active Data Guard works very well.
I do not have set up Data Guard Broker.
NB : RAC node1 is running using spfile that is in the disk of the ASM (+ DATA / spfiledcpdb.ora) but node2 is running using pfile.
Question: how to open the node 2 use spfile, who will remain in ASM disk as node 1?
Thank you
Solaiman
Edited by: 876149 April 1, 2013 10:08Change your PFILE file to specify that IFILE = 'location_of_spfile. '
OR
use STARTUP PFILE = "location_of_spfile."
Ensure that the spfile has the specific parameters of 2nd instance defined properly.
