I can load the Task Manager and access the internet. tried to go to the SafeMode to start with f8, but several attempts failed. I updated my graphics driver from AMD today and same black screen. I've also restored sytem to an earlier date using the HP utility with results screen - black even after the home page.

  Try the following.

  Boot the computer normally and log.

  Black screen, old the ctrl and alt keys and press delete.

  Select Task Manager.

  The only way to do it with a brush must resize art to the smallest, and the line of brush will be thin. You can do this by selecting this:

  

  And then dragging drag Grey Ribbon to the last image and click on all the frames, then resize.

  Then you can increase the size of the dimension of the screen that will essentially do what you ask, although there is a workaround at best. Unfortunately, that's close enough as only pencil of lines can be changed after the fact.

  Then, I thought that maybe something was wrong with my hardware, however, audio spent ALL Dell diagnostics audio tests (so my hardware is very good, yes?). I also tried "System Restore" option and returned to the point before the update... Nothing has changed!

  In addition, as far as I know, all the audio settings in Windows (checked in Registry Editor) are OK.

  What should I do now? My last hope is to completely reinstall the system, however, I decided to contact you first.

  Hi, I have a Dell 14R with Windows 8, standard configuration.  After the automatic updates pushed on 06-04-14, computer laptop start behaving strange - not able to connect to any external website.  Home page only on a browser worked.  Troubleshooting auto did not find any problems. I restored the computer to the last point saved, generated an error "cannot restore', perhaps due to MacAfee, but solved the problem.   Then I disabled the updates for windows, just in case.  Did you anyone has a similar experience lately and was able to locate and solved the problem?

  I've updated for Windows 8.1 over the weekend, it seems to work great so far.

  Come on, show on your iPhone in the app, then check the clock settings. There is an option to turn on or off; travel in time after the update to watch OS 3, it has been disabled by default for me.

  I want to embed a video in a Keynote slide so that the video starts to play just after the slide in video. When I play the presentation and advance to the slide video, it plays for 1 second, then stops and the presentation falls back in design mode. I tried different video clips and they all do the same thing.

  I use a middle Tower Mac Pro 2012 (Nehalem). 3.2 Ghz Quad core, 1 TB hdd, 8 GB ram DDR3, ATI graphic card 1 GB GDDR3 ram

  Just updated to the latest version of El Capitan (10.11.5, I think). Directly after the update has been completed and the obligatory restarted, the splash screen would come to the top. The progress bar should get about half way (probably 15 seconds) and then the machine just turns off. When you turn on it starts where it stopped, then 15 seconds later it turns off again.

  I tried to get in safe mode - turns off until something happens

  I tried the (cmd, opt, p, r) and it should restart as expected but then start from the beginning progress bar. As before judgment.

  AND if this can help: just before rebooting, I got an unknown error while trying to open iTunes (which was working fine the day before) - he asked me to uninstall and reinstall iTunes. The error had a number, but I don't remember it.

  I understand that you have a problem with the display and wanted to help you!  I see only after an update, the external monitor no longer works.

  Given that this problem happened recently, have you tried to perform a System Restore, to define the notebook to its previous working state?  If this does not work, have you tried to update the drivers of graphics Chipset and BIOS on the HP website directly?  You can find the drivers for you product here: drivers - HP's ENVY for laptop - 15-ae178ca
