stop running

my computer turns off completely while I use it.

Hello Angela Cataldi,.

1. you remember you proceed with recent changes to the computer before having this problem?

2. do you get errors when you turn off your computer?

This problem may be caused by a hardware failure, power failure more likely. I suggest you check the event viewer to see if there are any entries related to system crashing. This will help you find the defective module.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/open-Event-Viewer

You can see the link which will help you analyze the entries below Event Viewer:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-Viewer

If you still have the same problem, I suggest you contact the manufacturer of your computer to help you with this problem.

Thank you

I guess that's one I could try it myself but what Toshiba processes 'useless' I can stop running?

To begin with, as I have no docking station is the point of the intake process?

I am referring to uncheck in msconfig, and other similar software.

Basically is there a list like the windows a process where each process is listed with what exactly it does, and what to charge top etc?

    Hi Bill

All processes that are running in the background are Microsoft Windows applications and install programs, tools & utilities Toshiba. I put t know the name exactly of the intake process, but as far as I know if you remove the host from the list of software utility and restart the device if the background process must be disabled.

  • Mini/10.11.3 2011, click on turn off without warning, fan now won't stop running.

I guess that everything said. I have a mini, mid-2011, 10.11.3 running.  Subject and then there is that I was working on a document, it just clicked off hour (perhaps as the power had exploded, but there no - room of lights, etc., no change or spots).

It took a few minutes to get it going again. Pushed and held and then released the button of power probably five - six times until I'm anything out of it.

It seems to work fine now (fingers crossed), but fan runs - he began to run on restart and did not stop (it wasn't on until this has happened and no lights rarely at the time, I got this device).

I tried to close ten minutes waiting, but at the start, and whoosh, there is once again the fan.

I'm in my office, my thermometer indicates 20 ° C, and which is about three feet above the mini. The mini sits on my desk, there is an Apple Player DVD top (for years) and three sides are very open/light and airy. Left side is against the singing of a thick book. Here's what it has been for years...

    Ideas? Suggestions?

    Thank you

    John D.

Either way, I saw this: since the last update my fan will not stop running noisily.

But this is an old thread. And I'm not under any temperature special software or otherwise.

(However, I have to the current system four days ago.)

  • Satellite Pro 4600: sometimes applications stop running with the new RAM

    Hi all

I was wondering if anyone out there can shed some light on my problem. I've recently upgraded for an extra 256 MB on my Satellite Pro 4600. The laptop showed the increase in RAM. Since the installation, for some reason any after running for awhile applications (this varies between 10 minutes to a few hours like laptop start up), applications stop running. I can not open new applications. When I restart, I can run the applications in my laptop as usual again.

I received my offtek RAM. Manufacturer part number is the same as specified in the manual of my laptop.

    Please someone has an idea?

  • How to act when vi stops running

Sorry for the question of newbie but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. How can I do to act as stopping leds or resetting of variables when my vi stops running. Is there a kind of Boolean indicator that I can read to determine if the vi is running or an indicator that gets the value when the vi ends? Thanks in advance.

The status of the LEDs should not be important that if the VI is not running (edit mode), it is important however probably they are out the next time you run the VI.

To ensure that indicators initially desired values by default when the VI begins, go to "properties of VI... The execution"and activate"of clear indicators when it is called.

  • Windows vista Startup Repair will not stop running

    Hi hope someone can help

When I boot computer it goes to startup repair and custom automatically stops running same thing that happens when I use safe mode. Recently, we used the system restore, it worked fine until we used the Startup Repair
Thanks for any help you can give

    Hi, Gretaevan2,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

    * If this happens even in safe mode, then it is possible that the hard drive is the source of the problem.

You can try the following steps:

STEP 1: Try to perform the disk check and see if there are errors.

See the following knowledge base to perform the disk check: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265

STEP 2: Try the SFC Scan now.

See the following knowledge base to run SFC Scannow: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310747

If, in case, the step above does not help, try to perform the system restore to an earlier date when everything was working well.

We can't wait to hear back on your part.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.
