  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once. If it works, try to rerun the update from the drop-down list.   I just bought a Scarlett 2i4 hoping that time would have been solved compatibility problems. However, I'm unable to use it as an input/output device. Site Web Focus rite has a class compatible mode download that is supposed to solve this problem. And I installed it three times without success. Has anyone else had this problem and found a workaround. Thank you! I have a macbook pro mid 2012, el capitan 10.11.3.

  I have a 2i2. When I got it, a few BONES in there, I couldn't make it work. I went back and forth with tech support Scarlett. They really tried, even sent several beta drivers. Nothing works.

I tried a number of combinations (entry 1, entry 2, entry 1 + 2) with two tracks and at times different logic seems to capture sound from either the microphone or guitar, but never both at the same time, and when I try to register, I get nothing. I know the 2i2 back sound, but I don't know how to get it in logic too - I am missing as a headphone set big enough to fit into 2i2 currently taking, then maybe this is part of the problem? Perhaps? I have no idea. Advice or simple suggestions are appreciated!

  Hi, first thing to try is to check whether the project file backup is automatically available.  If you haven't changed the drive working settings when creating the project, then automatically saves these last will be in a folder bearing mention Auto records next door where you have created/saved file .prproj work.

  Try to open one of them to see if all your clips, sequences, and your changes are present.  You may have to back up a bit and redo some work but better than losing.  Normally they record every 15 minutes up to 20 copies of the project of maintenance (unchanged).

  Don't forget to check your AutoSave preferences in future Macs: PremierePro > preferences > Autosave PC: Edit > Preferences > backup automatically.   Make sure backups Save to creative cloud as more redundancy - this requires that you change to a workstation connected to the internet.

  Try each of them in order. A test to see if the computer works properly:

  1. Reset the PRAM
  2. Reset the controller (SMC) system management
  3. Start the computer in Safe Mode, and then restart normally. It's slower than a standard home.
  4. Repair the disk by booting to the HD recovery immediately after that the chime press the command and R keys until the Utility Menu appears. Choose disk utility and click on the continue button. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) volume entry of the list to one side.  Click first aid button in the toolbar. Wait the fact button appear. Disk utility and return in the Utility Menu. I returned and eliminated those when the work has been done, still have the problem. Run the paid version of ClamXav, up-to-date and the last scan revealed files without problem. I would try a restore to a previous setting, but just by chance my WD My Book crashed and I had to reformat so nothing to fall back on.
