Strong constantly operational CPU - P6240F desktop fan

Similar problems have been posted here, but my model, the motherboard and the version of the BIOS is different, I'll start a new post.

Try to check all the screws fixing radiator in place for the risk of rupture of the plastic arround none of them. This can sometimes happen and the radiator is then not sitting correctly on the CPU. You can also buy silicone grease, remove radiator CPU, clean its surface bya a fabric, but also radiator and apply new silicone grease. The former might have gotten dry and hard and loose the thermal conductance.

    Hello

I highly recommend not to turn on your computer until the fan is replaced.

Is your PC still under warranty?

You may not use the original part.

All you need is to have a CPU for a socket 775 CPU fan (LGA775). I recommend that you choose 90-92mm fan size due to the limitations of the original business space.

You will also need thermal interface (I recommend Arctic Silver 5 or OCZ Freeze Thermal Interface material)

material can be purchased at any store for PC. You can also have the fan replaced in a PC shop little charges.

  • HPE - 590t: Suggestions for replacement CPU Cooler & case fan

    Hi all

I would like to replace the fan in my HPE - 590 t.  Recently, he made loud noises and yesterday it sounded like a car was at my house with the idling of the maximum RPM.

I know that some have recommended the Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO in previous threads, however I have some concerns regarding this cooler would fit in my case, as it seems that I have about 1.5 inches of space to the left of the cooler and about 1' of headroom above the stock cooler.

Here are the specs for my motherboard.

I have a case of average size, I would be grateful any recommendation for the appropriate CPU cooler.

Ideally, I'd like something that could last another two years and be as quiet as possible.

HP DV9310 Windows 7 Professional 4 GB RAM

    DV7t-6100 Windows 7 Pro 8 GB RAM

    Ruette,

I wanted to let you know that you were right about the question of the back plate on the motherboard.   I decided to order the aftermarket cooler that I mentioned, and when I went to install it, it appeared to be welded directly on the motherboard.  I was puzzled because I've never seen such a design.

Because I could not remove the back plate, I couldn't install the new heatsink.

Being faced with the choice of either ordering a heat sink used as you have suggested to the origin or the HP part since the website claiming to sell the stock heatsink heat, I decided to remove my HP Elite system and build a custom system.

I built a new system with a motherboard MSI Gaming 5 and 4790 k i7 processor and used the ram, power supply, SSD, GTX 750 ti and other components in my system HP Elite for my new build. All these elements I just mentioned were anyway under a year of age.  Of course, I had to spend money on a Windows 7 operating system at retail, but also a new case, but overall it was worth the money. I also think that in the end I started to the cultivate my HP and it was just time for me to upgrade.  Now, that I'll stay with custom desktops built and stay away with OEM computers due to the unusual limitations that the OEM wants to place on their systems.

Thanks again for all your help!

  • Pavilion p6217uk Desktop fan problems

Hi just got a hp pavilion desktop p6217uk yesterday and I seem to have a problem with the fan. It becomes very quiet (even off I think) and then progressively louder until she screams so I can't hear the sound from the speakers more. It does at the start of A), B) when I connect and C) about every time I play a game or run an application. He is really strong and the constant turning power is boring. Surely this cant be good? Does anyone know of a fix for this? Help would be appreciated thank you, Ben.

Okay, I think that's definitely the problem... IM using speedfan to monitor the temperature of my CPU and idle is around 70 * c but when im playing games that goes up to about 100 * CUbertoad, I don't know what the maximum temperature for your CPU, but the slow down time even seem a little high.  Charging times are definitely out of sight.  I suggest to contact the HP Customer Service.  Something needs to be corrected until irreversible damage are due to the system.  This kind of heat only will not damage the CPU, but the outlet, too.

  • M4: Regulation of the CPU power and fan - tablet is running hot and noisy

My M4 is running hot and and the frequent active noisy fan in the normal power setting. This allows to improve some during the definition of the maximum energy saving options: battery life. But still the fan starts running and short relatively frequent. The fan noise is high enough to be quite irritating in a quiet environment.

    Is this normal?

Also my M4 allows on occations to memorize the fan.
Cpu temperature drops from 58 to about 44 C after awhile, but the fan still works.
However, if I go on hold for 1 second and back, fan control is reset and the fan turns off.

    Hello

If the operating temperature of the machine goes upward, so that the cooling fan turns on.
Many parts for example produce a lot of heat from the graphics card.
In addition the CPU temperature increases if many processes are running in the context of the operating system or if you are working with programs (i.e. playing games).
If you have a laptop computer with a processor that is hot much faster one and then another, it must be cooled more often.
You can believe me :) It's not a fault!

If you wish, you can try changing the cooling method parameter in Toshiba power saver utility.

    Best regards

  • Satellite L850 - error of cooling and slow down the speed of the CPU even when fan to 80 c

So, I have this problem that my fan stops turning when the system is under load and then turns on, starts running at the speed of 100%, an error which says error with cooling system, laptop computer back to the service.

The fan slows even when the laptop cools completely, it only returns to normal speeds once I closed the laptop.

In the last few days, which has stopped completely. Now the fan won't even middle speeds even though the CPU temperature is 80 C. Due to the bad news of cooling time score about 70 ° C, even at idle.

The laptop is almost a year. I already had this problem after a week of buying it, and they replaced my processor. I have windows 7 x 64, amd 7670 m and 2350 m i3.

I wonder if this may be a BIOS problem or I have to take for the service? How can I stop this from happening? And Yes, my power plan is on high performance.

AFAIK the cooling fan is controlled automatically if you don t have a any influence on it. Temperature sensors are placed on the motherboard and they control the cooling fan activity. That one possibility to change fan cooling activity is to change the option in the option of cooling method (advanced power settings > Toshiba saving settings).

In my opinion the best solution for you is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
They have diagnostic tools that you can check all this.

  • Qosmio F60 - alert constantly high CPU usage

    Hello

About 12 months ago, I bought a Toshiba Qosmio F60 computer laptop 6 GB.

When exploring using games, facebook etc, I am constantly alert of my Norton informing that there is high CPU usage.

I have asked around locally and advised to delete Norton because this may be the problem. I'm not eager to do what my subscription is still valid.

I also learned the other day that this is a common problem with laptops Toshiba using 'Explorer' and that I should use "Mozilla Firefox" instead which would correct the problem.

I am trying to arrange this.

Can you please indicate if it is a regular problem with Toshiba laptops and reviewing the options above to try to address this problem.

It doesn't really seem to my computer, it goes more slowly and when in the Manager tasks, it is constantly fluctuating between 5 and 35%

I look forward for your reply.

    Thank you

    Hello

This isn't a problem laptop buddy
Norton AntiVirus is a good antivirus program, but it uses a lot of resources and my experience locks the CPU.

I removed this antivirus software and now I m using the avast and Avira Antivir free Antivirus software. Both are freeware software.

But I still use Internet Explorer. Of course, I also installed the firefox and chrome. All these three browsers are great.

  • Re: Temperature Normal CPU but the fan is noisy

    Hello

My average CPU time are 45 on idle and 75 when you play. So, what causes the fan being a little louder than usual, although having normal time? It's not that loud and I could live with it, but I'm afraid it's something wrong with the fan.

Also, I checked PC Health Monitor and the fan speed is at 50% is STILL on idle. It is 50% from the first day, but the noise is more noticeable now.

PD: Laptop is 1 month old.

I put t think that there is a problem with the cooling fan. It is controlled automatically. What you can try is to modify the parameters of the method of cooling.
You can find it in the advanced power options > power Toshiba settings. Assign the optimised battery.
This should reduce the activity of fan cooling.

    Please test and post comments.

  • The Dell Precision T7600 CPU temperature and fan speed

    Hi all

I recently got a Dell Precision T7600 workstation that has two processors Xeon E5-2620.  I checked the specifications of Intel and the maximum temperature for these processors apparently is 77.4 C.

However, when you run fairly intensive applications that can last a few days or so to analyze, I noticed that the CPU temperatures get much hotter than this no difference in the speed of the fan.  I used speedfan and CPUID to check the temperature/fan speed.  The highest I've seen the temperature was 90 c and the fan speed has been only 900 RPM.  He regularly sits on 70 c and still no response from the fans.

I find this a little hard to believe given that surely fans should be a little lower than 90 c action!  I checked the settings of the bios (version A05) and the fan speed control is on auto.  I have also run the diagnostics and it reported no problem.  The fans run, but I'm not convinced that is the speed controller!

    Is this normal?

I managed to re - install the A10 bios (it appeared to include a few things my already installed version is not ).

Anyway, tried to launch a number of things to keep the processor at 100% for a few hours.  It seems that the fan speed changes now and the maximum temperature of the processor, I was able to get (and briefly) was 72 C.  He had served mainly the mid to high 60s with fan speeds ranging between ~ 1000 - 1500 rpm, as required to keep it there.

I would say that the new BIOS has solved my problem.

  • Memory update for P6240F desktop computer? Also processor options

I have a HP P6240F of desktop with AMD Q8300 processor and 8 GB of RAM (4x2Go).  I think that when I checked before I determined that 8 GB is the maximum that could handle the motherboard. Can anyone confirm that this is still the case? Also is there a upgrade cheap processor I could do that is compatible with my motherboard? With relatively inexpensive memory, I'd love to spend at least 12 GB if possible.

    Thank you...

    Hello

8Gb is the maximum number. You can check with this:

  • More big CPU for desktop Compaq

Hello everyone. I am trying to upgrade the CPU on my desktop HP, a Compaq CQ5110F. Running Windows 7 Home premium 32-bit as a clean install instead of Vista on this computer. Have 3 GB of RAM, DDR2, and a 320 HD existing CPU Athlon X 2 (K) 7550 2.5 GHz (95W), outlet is listed as sometimes AM2 and AM2 + sometimes. Current system is simply too slow.  I'm looking for a faster processor and considering an AMD Phenom II X 4 920 125 watts of 2.8 GHZ Quad Core CPU. The motherboard is Pegatron MZN68 - LA, P/N-513426-001, CT:ASYU0B0ZXIGYN. This motherboard would collaborate with the 125W CPU if appropriate cooling is installed.  Food is only a 300W so according to me, it will need to be upgraded too, but my main concern at the moment is the motherboard. Of course, if anyone has any ideas on food that would be too great.  Any input you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I will be happy to provide any additional information necessary.  Thank you, oscarmint.

Saty with processors models listed here.  There is no guarantee that all models of possible processors will work.  I'd stay in the models of 95 watts unless you ae ready to take some risks.  Understand the return policy before you buy.

If you want to improve the performance of games then get a fast video card.  Your power of 300 watts you be limited to something like the EVGA NVIDIA GT 240 invites 1GT DDR5. Review the performance of NVIDIA specifications. Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.  The new NVIDIA 460 isn't listed, but looking over the bandwidth of memory on EVGA website.

The provision of 500-550 watt would get you enough power and amperage + 12 volts to the new NVIDIA GT 460.

You need to open your PC and measure the physical dimensions of your diet.  Here is a list of the things to consider:

    1. Specifications
    2. Total power - important
    3. amperage 12 + v - important
    4. Modular - is not required, but I like the flexibility
    5. Warranty
    6. I7 and SLI ready
    7. Efficiency rating
    8. Cost
    9. The physical size - standard ATX PSU is 5.5 "by 5.9" by 3.4 "give or take a few tenths

    Hello

I don't delete as it is not recommended. I would rather disable the service.
You can disable the service via start > type services.msc

  • Strong DCNM Server CPU load

    Hi all

Recently we have installed some DCNM (.exe) worm 7.1.1 on the client VM and DCNM monitors the status of devices 6 N5K etc. However the customer found that CPU DCNM vm server load is high and always 100%. And there are 16 vcpu and 8G memory live allocated to the vm. It's still slow and 100%.

The windows task, we can find a java processor is always more synergy of CPU and RAM. We tried to restart the virtual machine and the value of virtual memory.

Any suggestion? Try to upgrade to 7.1.2 or open a tase of tac?

    Kind regards

    Hi drew,

This link is for postgres aspiration which is a necessary maintenance activity that must be performed every 2 weeks, even if the performance is good.

    • Is this VM DCNM shares resources with other virtual machines?  VIEW release notes, a VM DCNM should have dedicated/no shared resources on the host.
    • VIEW control the 5ks as LAN or SAN devices?  If SAN only, then you can clear the DSL service from the services window windows without affecting the control of SAN devices.  Sometimes of high CPU usage is bound only to the service LAN or SAN.

Also, an upgrade likely will not help.  Poor performance will be through after the upgrade.

    Thank you
