  If a lwapp ap is unable to reach a DHCP server, you can manually configure static controller information using the power port injector console and CLI commands in EXEC mode. The static settings are configured with the CLI commands are used by the lightweight access point to connect to a controller. These CLI commands can be used only on lightweight access points that are not associated with a controller.

  Also, REAP H access points that are in the connected mode will not allow the creation or disabling configurations via the console. When the access point is in this State, configurations must be done through the controller interface. Access to the access point configuration commands, if necessary, to ensure that the access point is in standalone mode before attempting to enter all the configuration commands.

  Once the access point is connected to a controller at any time (even if the H-REAP is placed in stand-alone mode), console access point won't command configuration until a new password. Each REAP: password must be changed. This can be set through the CLI of the controller to which the access point is connected. The syntax of this command allows the controller to set the password of the individual access point console or the password to all the services of the controller access points:

  (WLC_CLI) > ap config password username {all |}

  : Note for an access point that did not have its console defined passwords, that this configuration is sent AP to point the command is entered on the controller. Access points that join later to this will require the command be entered again.

  Again the access point has both received a default password and the access point is in stand-alone mode, the access point will still not allow access to these commands. To make changes to the configuration of the REAP H, the removal of pre-existing static IP addresses and IP address of the controller of the configurations is necessary. This configuration is called the private LWAPP Configuration and will need to be removed before any new access point CLI commands can be entered. To do this, enter the following command:

  The classpath is not the same as the path. It is similar, but a classpath is a set of directories or jar Java files use to search for resources and executable code.

  Assuming you are using the sample file of Start-cache - server.cmd which is supplied with the .net examples to start your server you can put the file tangosol-coherence - override.xml in the C:\Program Files\Oracle\Coherence pour.NET\examples\ContactCache.Java\config directory because it's on the class path when using this script.

  You can use the feature of substitution of wlan AP 802.11bgn and 802.11an under the tab wireless on the wlc. Check only the SSID you wish to have on each radio.

  Unfortunately you have checked a guide old enough to UCSM 1.3 (we went through UCSM 1.4/2.0/2.1 and currently on 2.2 already), and that server you are trying to set up seems to be offline...

  For a stand-alone server of series C, only 2 how time management is in the BIOS or Setup NTP (counting 1.5 MMIC) but not their time zone.  See the screenshots attached.

  If you join the server with UCSM then you can configure the time zone.

• Several AP 1142 suddenly lose SSID

  I wonder if someone can help send me in the right direction to diagnose the following problem?

  We have two sites on a single controller of a WISN blade and both sites use 1142 AP.

  In recent days, the two sites have reported the Wireless does not. The check on the controller and the WCS network reports as being fine, with all appear and even WCS reports power radio etc.

  However, on the spot, in one instance a complete hotel and the second being an entire floor of a Halls of Residence, there is no sign of wireless network. Not one single SSID (we have 2) is broadcast and same Airmagnet Survey Pro tool is unable to detect any wireless activity.

  We have been very intrigued by this and finally solved the problem by recycling PoE interfaces on switches on board, causing a reboot of the AP, on which the SSID has begun to be rebroadcast.

  The error means apparently: this error message is generated by the towers on the network when a substitution of wlan is configured for a wlan, but this particular wlan is not advertised through the LAP.

  We do not configure override WLAN so I don't know why we're gettting this error... If someone can enlighten us?

  I use FF 8.0 with Windows.

  The total cache under options-> advanced-> network fluctuates, goes up and down without my having unblocked. The result is slower loading of the page, because, it seems, some sites or data have been removed from the cache.

  I think I have fixed the compensation without problem of entry cache.

  1. go to Options-> advanced-> network. Check the automatic management of the cache of substitution.
  2. all: put config, highlight "browser. cache. check_doc_frequency.' Right-click, and then click on edit. Enter the value '0' or ' 2'.

  The cache will build until manually.

  You have a condition of release of ' lt 1.  This means that the burden must fall below 1 until the event to rearm.  In this case, it seems that the load is always 1, so you will not see the three events occur.  You have to push some of the traffic through this interface to complete your test.

  In addition, you are away:

  And probably, you will need to extend the first event with a maxrun parameter I am sure that this policy will have more than 20 seconds to run.

• Cisco SGE2010P LAG in access or trunk mode?

  Hello.

  I have a client who has two SGE2010P connected by four LAG ports.

  Switch has all the users, and B a whole server. All used on the vlan 1.

  Now I had to add the point with multiple SSID access.

  Here the port I created trunk port since the AP had to pass several tag/no identified images.

  So now the two trunk vlan is spent. One is the vlan 1 and other native vlan 2 for the wireless of comments.

  If I were to set up access to this port, the AP Gets the ip address of the DHCP server on the other switch.

  When I set up the trunk, the gi0.1, which is part of the vlan native Gets the ip address.

  However, the Gi0.2 interface, which is part of the vlan 2 does not get an ip address.

  When I put the port vlan 2 access mode and got the AP to be in this vlan.

  I was able to get the ip address on the scope of vlan2. It's only when I set up the trunk port.

  the vlan 2 (not native vlan) does not get an ip address.

  So I think it is, maybe the LAG port is in access mode in the vlan 1 and not in trunk mode.

  Is it possible to change the port of OFFSET to be in trunk mode?

  Hi Thomas, that there should be "M1" in the list of the interface down. Or some channel port that you assigned. As an OFFSET, these ports are more specific. It works exactly the same in a catalyst environment, difference is, it's on a GUI config vs a CLI config.

  I'm trying to set up a server with the installed VIC 1225 C240.

  Firstly, I would like to know if it is even possible to use it without fabric interconnections or Nexus switches. Suppose that I am just their regular snap up some 10GbE switches.   I checked that the VIC is installed in slot 1 visually as well as via the output below, but the output below is not what I expected by the documentation. I am not able to enter into the scope of this adapter, and it appears in "display adapters pci" and not "adapters". It is as if she is not even recognized as a VIC.

  The VIC 1225 is fully supported as a stand-alone card outside UCSM and by default it runs in the classic Ethernet mode which means that it is compatible with any standard IEEE 10GE switch.

  The VIC is not supported in Slot 1 in the C240, he is supported in Slot 2 or 5

  Without be installed into the cracks, the connector of NC - if at the end of the PCIe bus will not be conencted and the MMIC has no interface to configure the card.  Once you have installed it in a supported housing, you should be able to frame scope and show the adapter.  Then brought to the map as shown below

• Reset the factory default UCS

  Does anyone know how to reset a UCS system to the factory settings? We have a lab of the UCS to the office and we must be capable of resetting to factory settings so that several people can learn how to build a system UCS from the ground upward.

• Design of wireless network

  Hello

  I am looking for assistance in the design of a solution for a customer of our wireless. A basic outline of the network is attached. There are actually many other sites that are shown here, but I just wanted to keep things simple.

  The plan is to have a 1240AG access point on each connected remote site the WLC on the WAN. In time, the WCS will be managed by a WCS server.

  Each site is already divided into 2 subnets and it is not possible to add a new one for the AP and it's customers. In any case, there will be very few wireless traffic. The AP will run in mode H-HARVEST but there will be no required local communication. All traffic is always aimed at Headquarters (ie they use Citrix). So do these APs actually need to be switch locally H-Reap? If not then how would this work? A remote site AP can function as a H-REAP no?

  Some sites have their own 3560 switch and others simply a switch inside a 2801 router module.

  There is no need to have any VLANs sent across the WAN.

  DHCP is provided by the router at each remote site.

  I really need some advice on the best way to implement this solution, including but not limited to:

  Do I need to have a separate WLAN for each site?

  Will be DHCP from the router actually work?

  How should be configured the ports on the switch on the module HWIC?

  What benefits are there to having a WCS when there is just a single WLC? (I thought that WCS to manage several WLC).

  I skimmed the design guides and I'm still not clear about the best way to do it.

  Any help would be appreciated

  Not in H-REAP... the WLAN SSID that you create on the controller will always be equal to the management interface. This is how the AP and WLC will communicate. When you enable local switching, then you have the ability to map this ssid to a vlan local. I'm currently deploy 90 h PA - harvest with 27 sites and 2 4404 in the heart. I have 7 SSID and using the substitution of wlan. DHCP is local to the remote site and I use the same id of vlan to map the ssid. VLAN local native for the ap is also the same in all, but of couse subnets are different. It's a little different, how you look what interface you need to map the ssid for especially when doing h - harvest.

  Look at it this way... only if you have traffic returning to the WLC and the WLC putting back the traffic on the network is when the interface mapping is important... as in a normal installation of LWAPP.
