SUCCESS IN BURNING DVDS!

I want to thank Bill Hunt, Steve Grisetti and Nealeh for the advice they gave me for a few months. I got my Boy Scout project in the production of 3 movies of slide show with background music.  Engraving on a folder and using IMGBURN were the most valuable advice, I think.  IMGBURN is great, who needs Roxio?

Either way, I never had problems with 8 PreEl stablililty, do not know why I had the chance.

Thanks again, guys (gals?).  San Antonio Kid, aka Steve Kale

It's always nice to hear stories of success, Steven! Happy, we could help.

And even happier to hear that you have little problems with first Elements 8 or not. I suspect that, given that Adobe has released the patch, far fewer people have problems. We hear only of those having problems here!

Congratulations! Don't be a stranger.

  • Qosmio G20-118: Multi drive is not burning DVDs

    Hi guys,.

This day I have never been able to burn a DVD with music files from itunes (in the form of data) using my G20-118, although I have no problem what to do in my old office. I have tried several different DVDs without success. Everything seems to go smoothly until the last dry when there is an error. I had the same problem that burn DVDs with Sonic. Finally, my drive rarely reads CD of music stored on other computers. It also came with data CD, although rarely.

Do I have a defective disk? This CD/DVD that you tried and must work on my system?

    Thank you very much!
    Pedro

    Hello

I don't think it's a compatibility issue with the disks because the player accepts and then displays an error.

For me, this looks like a bad drive, but perhaps you must first reinstall the driver or the whole system.

    Good bye

    Hello

I have very little success to burn a DVD.
I'm using WIN DVD Creator and go through all the steps, but WIN DVD gives this message:
    The media cannot be deleted.

I have no problem burning CD and DVD seems to be impossible. Any help out there?

Can I ask you what kind of DVD have you tried?
It seems that you want to erase the DVD before burning. Have you tried to burn to DVD - RW?

  • Satellite M40: Power calibration error - drive cannot burn DVD - RW more

My drive is a carpet * an oem UJ - 831S. After a screw-up partitioning job, I had to format my HD and reinstall Windows XP... and then I can not burn DVD - RW more.

Tried many programs such as Nero and a fireman, gives an error of calibration of power from the beginning.
Burning CD - r and CD - RW no problem however, and I can read CDs and DVDs of movies very well.

Google and searched for a month without success, tried to blow the laser lens, but there is no dust, I tried different media, etc. I know the best answer is that the drive is done, BUT I refuse to acknowledge it because it is too big of a coincedence to stop working right after that I reinstalled XP.

An interesting note however, my laptop has not been provided with a CD of Toshiba, so I had to reinstall manually more drivers by downloading the Toshiba site, so I have a funny feeling, this could be a thing of the software/firmware, or even a framework.

I installed the new firmware 1.02 for the reader as well. I don't remember what the firmware was before resettlement, IE the laptop computer settings to factory default, I'd like to downgrade to 1.00 if possible.

Experts have ideas? And is there a way I can reset the firmware?

Maybe I could remove the drive from the system-> devices and let XP Reinstall for me?

    Hello

    > I don't know the best answer is that the drive is done, BUT I refuse to acknowledge it because it is too big of a coincidence to stop working right after that I reinstalled XP.

Of course, it s simply to say the drive is dead because everything looks like a hardware malfunction. Most often the power calibration error appears because of the drive lens can't calibrate in the right position and thus cannot read some CD or DVD s s or it of not possible to write about them.

But maybe you are a lucky man and might try this procedure:
-Try to remove the drive physically from the Bay for laptop
-Restart the unit without the drive
-In this case the operating system should start from the HARD drive
-Close the notebook then reinsert the drive unit in the Bay of s for laptop
During initialization, the laptop should recognize the drive and must pick up the firmware

Then you can check if you can burn the DVD again, otherwise you will need a new drive

  • Satellite Pro A210-1 b 1 does not burn DVD

    Hi guys,.

I got a problem here. I tried many times to burn DVDs on my laptop, but it does not work.

I tried to burn DVDs with Nero, DeepBurner, Windows Media Player and Windows explore any of them successfully. (Only Nero and just once).

What is happening is: I put the blank DVD disk, start Nero (or other program) select the files and click on burn. It doesn't show any errors during combustion and post-combustion, I check the disc and seems to be really burnt (the color of the disk where files there is darker) but after inserting the disc again in the PC it shows: blank DVD!

I'm really annoyed with it because I got a lot of files to burn, and I can't.

Anyone has an idea on what to do?

PS. : Already put the recovery disk and formatted my system whole and already tried with Windows XP.
I tried to burn a DVD (to check if it is not the media) on another laptop and it worked very well.

Please guys, try to help me.

You can check if these DVD created on your laptop is empty on other laptops or computers too?

Did you do an update of the firmware of your player? This can sometimes help.

For a TS - L632H ODD, you will need the TO03 firmware.
For a TS - L632P ODD, you will need firmware TO02.

Try them and let me know if this worked for you

  • Can not burn DVD (s) in Adobe Encore

Hello. I can't be able to burn DVDs in Adobe Encore. "Access denied" is the error that keeps popping up. I imported the mpeg transcoded file and timeline he successfully. The project has passed the check but when I ordered to build again, he failed. I still used successfully before that. How can I make it work again? What I am doing wrong this time?

You will probably need to log on to an Admin account and still run with administrator privileges.

  • Burning DVDs from first pro timeline

Is it possible to burn a project of first pro timeline directly on DVD without yet?

    Thank you

    arikw

First Pro 2 used to have a burn directly to dvd fearture, but overall it wasn't much of a success.

The way it goes is that you send your timeline yet. (File/dynamic Link/send to yet)

Still opens, choose the settings of the dvd.

Timeline appears in the project window.

Go to build, then press on check project.

End Action game and remote title (clicking on the name of the 'problem' the appropriate tab wil open. Remote title = button remote control)

    Burn DVDs.

  • Still burned DVD takes a long time to load into the reader

I created a DVD in Encore CS3.  The final DVD is approximately 60 minutes and has 4 menus created in Photoshop CS3.  I purchased the Dolby converted in first and used this file as PCM format indicated by a friend vs.   The DVD works fine but takes a long time to load in one of my DVD players.

A Sony player, it takes between 40 minutes and up to 70 seconds to load and play the first menu.  Each time is different.

(This same drive load purchased in-store Hollywood style DVD in about 15 seconds on average)

In another Sony player my DVD on average about 25 seconds

A Panasonic player, it takes about 15 seconds

In a portable player from JVC, it takes about 8 seconds.

That is what it is?  This DVD is created for replication in a large number, but I'm afraid the long loading time is a problem and you want to solve this problem before sending it to the wide for replication.

    Help, please

    Thank you

    EDM

    EDM,

One consideration is that there is no DVD drive certified to play any burned DVD, only those press/replicated. Most do and do as well, with provisions, but some don't.

Now for these provisions. High quality blank media will get a closer all the success, just like using a slower speed of the burn, as the max. These two considerations will get a close, as it is possible.

What brand of blank media are you using? Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are about as good as it gets.

How fast you burn to? I would look into a speed in the middle of the range permitted by the combo of speed by the media and the burning speed. Slower is better than more fast.

As Stanley, there may be differences with r and + R media and players. There has been much more a problem, but some players still might prefer a vs the other.

Finally, when you say "replicated", do you mean that you send in a DLT to make a House of replication a glassmaster, where the DVD is going to be in a hurry? If Yes, these replicated discs will be like the Hollywood DVD and will be NOT burnt, as was your test drive. The question will be moot with these, as they will be DVD-videos, where your burned DVD is really a DVD - ROM.

    Good luck
