Successful with beeps start

My X220i tablet started beep 5 break 5 sequence at startup after I turned on BitLocker security chip in windows 8. The computer starts successfully after the beeps every time.

This is the sound. starts about 7 second mark.

Does anyone know if this means that there is a problem?

If not, is anyway for me to turn off the beeps?

You don't have official (patched)? BIOS. Is it not?

    Has been changing my CPU to a new location, after move when I tried, the monitor shows nothing, but the cpu fan is running, however, the light to the central unit began with blue, then changes to light amber with beeps for 5 times followed by a pause and then the beep and light orange continues for 5 times again. I tried out the RAM and putting the back but it's still the same. Someone has an idea is coz the materials have been damaged or loose? My CPU is probably 11 months + old you.

    CN, welcome to the forum.

    I suggest start by checking all the connections inside and out of the case.  It could be as simple as a loose connection.

    The beeps are called the BIOS beep codes.  Here's a guide to help you diagnose the problem:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/bph07107

    There is a section at the bottom of the page that lists the Beep Codes for different brands of BIOS.

  • Z820 - button Power LED blinks 4 times (red) with beep... bad card (Quadro 4000) graphics?

    Hello

    My Z820 at the office is suddenly having a few hardware malfunction.

    When I turn on my machine, the PSU/system fans don't rev and the Power LED button flashes red with a beep 4 times.

    According to this page of troubleshooting, this indicates a faulty PSU on the new UEFI computers:

    HP desktop - computer does not start and emits a LED or a beep Code

    Section "code beep and LED descriptions.

    Get the exact model of LED as the example of "power failure".

    Then, I got a new power supply replacement. I still have the exact same model LED and beeps...

    So, I have drawn deeper and found that when I removed the Quadro 4000 card graphics and then put on my machine, the power button LED is lit in blue (led code ' computer-S0 (normal operation) "") and all the normal spin fans.

    The Quadro card seems to be the culprit...

    Unfortunately, I have no alternative graphic card laying to verify this around, I'm waiting for a replacement of the graphics card (via HP service) to arrive tomorrow.

    Is it possible that the power LED button code (4 times red with beep...) has nothing to do with a bad power supply and that my Quadro is bad?

    Dries

    Dry... that Z820 has been giving you headaches.

    Many fault codes have not changed since the previous workstatons.  I hit this series of beeps of error in the past, and often doesn't mean that the power supply itself is the cause.  It can be a hardware device to the bottom of the chain causing a power surge to power, triggering his "crowbar circuit: fault protection

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/crowbar _ (circuit)

    Here are the instructions to deal with this series of beeps of a previous HP xw technical and repair.  Note the number 2 in the troubleshooting instructions... usually you don't have to go down to 3, in my experience.  I think that you have already found the faulty unit:

    Loss of power.
    1. open the access panel and make sure that the power cable is properly
    connected to the system board.
    2. Locate the faulty device by removing all devices and then reinstalling one at a time
    until the workstation fails. Replace the device at the origin of the failure. Continue to add
    devices to make sure that everything works correctly.
    3. check the power supply feature.
    a. turn off the AC power.
    b. remove all cables internal power on the system board.
    c. connect the power supply.
    ● If the power supply fan turns and the BIST LED lights, then the
    power supply is good. Replace the motherboard.
    ● If the power supply fan does not turn or the BIST LED does not
    light up, replace the power supply.

    Hi Comintern,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You receive an error message or error code?

    Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

    Method 1:

    Step 1: Start in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

    Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2: If the problem does not occur in safe mode, you can put your system to boot (in normal mode) to solve the problem.

    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

    Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

    The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

    Important: While running scan on the hard drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive when scanning try to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

    Let us know the results.

  • Is there anyone who can help me with Super Start

    I need assistance with Super Start. I checked the faqs and my problem is not covered.

    Great Start has a "backup" feature that allows you to export and import manually or via a "cloud" service
    http://www.enjoyfreeware.org/SuperStart/export-import

    There is also a folder named /superstart/ in the Firefox profile folder that contains various data files that are associated with Super Start. The file named sites.v1.json contains the data for the 'tiles' that are on the page "start". And there is a folder named snapshots with the images for the page tiles "start". Other files are in the folder / / superstart, but I know not what they are for - has in Super Start I've not used.
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/profiles-where-Firefox-stores-user-data

    There are also a bunch of about: config preferences for Super Start. I am a new user of Super Start, but do not have much experience with it. I installed only for having a "homepage" with tiles for 6 news sites I visit every day.

    Hello

    1. Press (Windows key) + R and type "regedit" and press enter.

    Find the following key:

    Geographical area: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

    3. double-click on "PowerdownAfterShutdown.

    Then,
    Change it to '0' if it is '1' OR
    Change it to '1' if it is '0 '.

    And press ENTER.

    Then reboot andtry to stop.

    If this does not work, make sure that you change the value in regedit back to what she was original

    Try this one:

    Put the laptop to sleep then let it restart itself. Then run command prompt and

    Enter 'powercfg - lastwake. It should give you the description of what caused the alarm.

    And you always get the "Windows did not shut down correctly, please choose an option (safe mode, safe mode with network, start windows normally)" Note?

    It could be a hardware problem, so it is best to contact DELL or a local technician if the problem persists.

    As a work around, I suggest to update the drivers of the computer display and check if it makes a difference.

  • Why can't I just move on with windows7 starter to windows 8, my computer is only 9 months since purchest?

    Why can't I just move on with windows7 starter to windows 8, my computer is only 9 months since purchest?

    So it will not uninstall then install my programs, or what, then another question is the offer for $14.99, that's what I was watching and I filled a free upgrade and probably has not been fully tested for this upgrade, he said I would be able to get the upgrade, but there is no decrease in my emails guess still in work. While {s it improves just $ 40 million that I should wait for a version pro or ultimate?

    And what will happen to my saved files?

    and I'll be able to restore to the factory with warranty setting and I can use my series to my computer for the upgrade?

    NOW please if you don't know it please tell me I would like to know some facts and since there is so much development, in my view, the pro version is yet to come, so...

    Windows 7 Starter is not eligible for the offer of $14.99.  Only Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate. If you must upgrade to Windows 8, then you have to wait on the upgrade $ 39.99 for Windows 8 Pro that will become available October 26, 2012.

    The upgrade will allow you to keep your applications, personal files and settings.

    Yes, it should be able to restore the factory State, but always backup before making changes on your computer like installing an operating system:

    Two points:

    1. it is unlikely that your current installation would work if
    you have changed motherboards. You need to reinstall itself.

    2 but you cannot use your current copy of Windows if you change
    motherboards, not even if reinstall you it cleanly. The largest
    disadvantage of an OEM version, is that its license it binds permanently
    the first computer, it is installed on and Microsoft believes that
    If you change the motherboards, another computer. It can never
    legally be moved to another computer, sold or transferred (except with)
    the original computer). If the computer dies or is stolen, your
    license dies with him.

  • Someone at - he had success with ConfigurationAddMachine?

    I was unable to get the internal interface ConfigurationAddMachine method to work for me.  Hoping someone out there might have a glimpse of what I might hurt.

    I use Java interfaces generated from the internal WSDL.

    My code looks like:

    int configId = soapProxy.configurationCreateEx (workspaceConfigName, 'description');

    int templateId = soapProxy.getTemplateByName ("32EN-WXPSP3") .getTemplates () .get (0) getId();

    int machineId = soapProxy.configurationAddMachine (configId, templateId, machineName, 'description', 0, 0, null, 1);

    The first two calls complete successfully with the expected results, but the third always results in an error message of "Object Reference not set to an instance of an object", which is not useful enough to direct me towards my problem.

    I'm a little unsure of the correct value for the last parameter, the API refers to it as ip_assignment_type, which exist nowhere else in the API.  I have tried several different int unchanged values in the result.  I thought it's maybe the ordinal value of SOAPIPMode, but if that were the case it seems they would have just done as the type.  We have only a single network, "Default virtual Machine", which uses a static Pool of IP, and I just want to create models of machines that use that.  Someone at - it had any luck with this?

    We use Lab Manager 4.

    Thank you

    Todd

    You mean that if I want to get marked correct, I answer actually work?

    I run the following code in my lab LM4 and it worked.

            manditoryAttribute(destinationConfig,"destinationConfig");

            int configID = proxy.configurationCreateEx(destinationConfig, "description");
            ArrayOfTemplate template = proxy.getTemplateByName("win2k8R2_x64_Virgin");
            int templateID = -1;
            if (template!=null) {
                templateID = template.getTemplates().get(0).getId();
            }

             proxy.configurationAddMachine(configID,templateID,"Name","description",0,0,"192.168.0.20", 0);

            configurationInfo(destinationConfig);
        }
    }
