• Surface RT blocks when I signout

  I have a problem quite frequently.

  When I signout from my Surface of the black screen then freezes for 10-20 seconds then restarts automatically.

  OK I think I have now solved the problem.

  PROBLEM: Surface RT reboots almost everytime I log out of my account, when the touch cover is fixed. An error report is generated the next time I open a session.

  SOLUTION: reinstall the firmware for the cover of your contact. To do this follow the steps below:

  With your touch cover attached...

  -Start Device Manager ". Search for "Device Manager", using the charm search under 'settings '.

  Otherwise there are in the Panel Office under 'System '.

  -Expand the 'Firmware' option in the list, and then select 'touch Surface cover Firmware.

  -Right click and select 'Uninstall' make sure that you delete the system files.

  -Restart your Surface

  -Manually, check the updates of windows. Under settings > change settings for PC > Windows Update

  -Windows should detect a new firmware, go ahead and install it, and restart.

  This should be it. I can only assume this problem reappeared with my brand new Surface and tap the cover because I previously attached my old skin touch (with the corrupt firmware) to my new Surface which was then was then reused with new touch cover. By removing the old firmware and replace my Surface now appears to disconnect successfully without it crashing.

  Hello and sorry for such a pessimistic title for my post, but it's the truth.

  I feel like I have to clean all my touch screens at least a dozen times every day and who still does not seem to keep them working properly. I use Windows Pro 8.1 on my 3 Surface Pro and my office and touch screens on both systems, of course. My question is simple enough, it seems that I have to click on 'touch' on any of a zillion times for the computer to realize that I'm actually doing something. Is this normal after the first week or I have to update the drivers or something?

  Also, is it just me or do DirectX present a major problem with touch screens? I play LOTRO and I double-click-right on everything in order for people to talk to me or to make a transaction in store interfaces. This is not normal, and if that's the case, why can't not Microsoft fix this? I can't be the only person who has noticed or written on touch and directx...

  Anyway, if anyone knows of solutions other than return to the mouse, please let me know. :)
