Suspension device: USB USB not falling suspend

Hello

I bought Windows 7 as soon as it was available in stores. I installed it and after using it for a few days, I noticed that my usb devices are not selectively suspending to save energy, as if they were in the release candidate of Windows 7 version. I left alone until now. I just reinstalled Windows 7, maybe he thinks some software or driver that I had installed was causing this problem. So, I has not installed drivers or software and ran the diagnostic of power efficiency report and all my usb devices have error: USB device suspends: not suspend.

Can you please help me with this? If you need to know, I use an ASUS M4A79 Deluxe Mobo.

Hello

Try to run MS fix here and check if that helps.

Also, try to uninstall all the ports in the Device Manager and restart the computer and check.

  • Device USB not recognized (malfunction)

I went on my external hard drive and an error message came - USB not recognized - device due to a malfunction. I tried switching off all voltage and turn support but still the same voltage. Then I went to print something and the same message came. However, I used my printer today without any problem. I don't know what happened. Advice please? Thank you very much. Aide-de-camp

Hello ~ thanks for the reply.

Just to say that I read somewhere switch all switch off and leave it for half an hour - then turn on everthing. Miraculously - it worked!

  • Device USB not recognized - device connected USB has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it

I have a HP Pavilion dv4 laptop running Windows 7 Home Edition Premium and the USB ports worked well for a HP deskjet printer and an older Casio digital camera. Then one day, the laptop decided not to recognize the Casio digital camera and gave the error message "USB device not recognized" and also indicated that the device connected to the computer has malfunctioned. This prompted me to buy a new digital camera Canon. Well, a new camera has not fixed the problem. Now, anything that is connected to one of the 2 ports USB will not be recognized by my laptop. Help!  I am at a loss to understand this.  I tried using Microsoft suggested below:

Suggestion 1: the problem with USB devices, uninstall and reinstall all USB controllers. This allows controllers to recover the port USB of his condition does not respond.
USB controllers represent the USB ports in Device Manager.

    a. Click Start, type Manager of devices in the search box of start and press ENTER.
    b. expand Bus USB controllers.
Note: you may scroll through the list to find this point.
    c. the first USB controller under Bus USB controllers right click and then click on uninstall to remove it.
    d. Repeat steps above for each controller USB is listed under Bus USB controllers.
    e. restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically check for changes on the hardware and reinstall all USB controllers that you uninstalled.
    f. check the USB device to see if it works.

This has not fixed the problem.  Then the Device Manager, I tried to update the drivers on all the USB controllers and root hubs. While some may have received software updates downloaded, it still has not corrected the problem of unrecognized USB device after the computer is restarted.  I hope that someone knows the solution to this situation and can pass it on to me. Thanks for reading and any help display.

Read previous messages revealed the solution for USB devices not recognized on my HP Pavilion as well as several other laptop models.  Shut down the computer and remove the battery and wait for about 15 minutes. Reinstall the battery and restart the computer.  USB ports are working to download pictures from my digital camera from Canon and charging a cell phone, etc...   I hope it helps others with this problem!

  • Non-existent devices USB not recognized

We get the message that USB device not recognized on several machines (Dell Optiplex 980) with XP and the same type of machines with Windows 7. The only USB devices that are attached to the machine are the keyboard and the mouse and the two are identified by the system and are working properly. Mention all the answers that I can find for similar questions about errors for non-existent devices. Can anyone help? Thank you

No card reader. I submitted this to Dell as the system is a Dell Optiplex 980 and they said that the problem may be with the motherboard that needs to be reset. I tried to unplug the PC from the wall, but that has not solved the problem. They sent a technician with a new motherboard. That did not help. When downloading all the drivers I could find, I noticed that the monitor was turning and all by itself. Also noticed that we had a USB2 cable connection of the monitor to the computer to activate the USB port that is built into the monitor. When I pulled the usb2 to the monitor cable, the error has disappeared and when I plugged it in the returned error. I have this will report to Dell, but in the short term, the problem is resolved.

  • Suspension device: incoming USB USB not suspend - preventing Windows 7 Pro x 64 suspension

Recently, my Windows 7 partition has refused to go to sleep or put into hibernation. I searched and found that I needed to run 'powercfg-energy', I did as I tried a sleep.

It turned out that the USB hubs apparently kept the Windows of sleep (even if this has not been a problem in the past). So, in response, I removed my USB mouse connector.

The number of errors is passed against 5-3. Now, remaining only the following:

My guess is that the 'USB Mass storage device' is my integrated laptop card reader. I found in Device Manager and then disabled and uninstalled, nothing helps.

So what now? I've never had this problem before - why it seemed now?

Well Alrighty then. I set myself, through the observation of AndyWalser here.

I had recently installed SUSE 11.2 x 64. I thought that this would in any way be related since it was apparently USB. Turns out that, for some reason, with GRUB as the boot loader, it UN-brands Win7 partition as "Active". At the moment I have re-marked as active sleep and Hibernate worked without a hitch.

If anyone has similar issues, just go to computer management > disk management and brand the Win7 partition as Active.

The real question, however, is what has to do with the USB not suspending do not at all.

  • Why am I suddenly "USB not recognized, one of the devices USB has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize"

Hi all. If anyone out there in Cyber Land can solve this problem for me so I've personally you will issue an eight-pack of ice-cold beer (or a bottle of wine for the ladies lol)...

I'll try not to waffle too guys, so here's...

Right my PC running Windows XP. I also have itunes installed on my PC (I have an iphone 4). Upward until yesterday my iphone and itunes were working well, (once I plugged my iphone in the itunes USB port recognised that my iphone was plugged and synchronization was fine etc.).

But now when I plug my iphone to PC to sync with itunes, I get a pop up box on the lower right part of the screen that reads... "USB not recognized one of the USB devices has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize."

After visiting about 5 different sites now "Ways to solve this problem", believe it or not, I still have the problem bloody! :(

A site proposed shutdown PC and unplug it from the power supply, then plug it back start-up and back... this as did not work!
The other they say that I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs then restart... it did not work either.
    Tried a system restore
    Tried to reinstall itunes

When I check the names USB in Device Manager, there is one who reads unknown device. I am literally pulling what's left of my hair now. I tried to solve this problem for almost 2 days now and still no joy. That's why no matter what input you guys would be very appreciated. I'm no PC Wizard, so please, don't think you're patronizing me if you break down things step by step for me.

Thank you comrades, cordially, Freddy frustrated. :)

Another said I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs and restart.

Usually, this works... but can be very dangerous, unless you have a PS/2 keyboard.

I also assume that you have tried all other USB ports on the computer. tried a verified USB device (for example, a flash drive) in the USB usually when you plug in your iPhone. and I tried your iPhone in another computer (I know it's rare for an error message Windows really means what he says, but sometimes the material lacks).

Is the charge of the iPhone when it is connected to the USB port (I don't think)?  This happened to me recently, but a reboot fixed it.  I guess that that happened to you.

I guess that you don't see the error messages in Device Manager or you must declare them.

You can uninstall all USB devices that do not exist as follows:

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Enter the following command and press enter

    Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1

    • Start the Device Manager by typing the following in the same command prompt window

    devmgmt.msc

    • In Device Manager, click the view menu and select "Show hidden devices".
    • You should see a category just after "Non-Plug and Play drivers" named "other devices."  Chances are that there will be a big exclamation yellow mark beside it.  When you expand the "other devices" you should see several non identified "USB devices."  Uninstall all this.
    • Reboot (with the iPhone NOT connected).
  • Aspire V does not recognize the USB/phone device. Why not?

Why does my laptop recognize my phone more?       He knows some device USB is plugged in, but it does not recognize.

  • Sony A55 vs Device Stage via USB, not enough of work

Sony A55 digital camera (or more correctly the SLT-A55V United States w / GPS) has two modes of operation for its USB connection: PTP and mass storage.  This question is about its use in mode PTP with Device Stage.  Compatibility Center lists the A55, sustained.

(Device Stage does NOT recognize the device when the mass storage mode value.)  On the other hand, Sony software only works with the USB to the camera in mass storage mode.  This question is NOT on the use of the camera with Sony software.  In fact, the real point of the question is: how best to use this device with Win7 * without * Sony bundled software.)

Two problems noticed so far, when you use the mode USB PTP of A55 w / Device Stage:

    (1) the "erase after importing" does not work, images remain on the camera independently checked/unchecked (minor annoyance)

    (2) all of the videos on the camera (uses his MP4 format) are not transferred (important deal breaker)

Device Stage has no such problems with several other cameras that we have (mainly Point & Shoot varieties, for the most part, the Canon), where it clears after import and transfers all media so always correctly or video.   The problematic behavior seems to be unique to the A55.

The A55 is the latest version of the firmware (2.0), and behavior of Device Stage is unchanged if Sony beam is installed (i.e. the bundle Sony doesn't seem to install anything that creates OR that corrects the problem)

For example, q: is there something that can be fact/configured for Device Stage (or the A55 himself?) to solve these problems?

    TIA

    Hi davbol.

You will need to contact Sony support for firmware\driver was last updated for the necessary changes.

I guess my last suggestion really worked. Who were the last I can think.

Now, the system cannot find the specified file. Perhaps, reference is made to the file INFCACHE.1. Fix INFCACHE.1 and SFC scan should have corrected it.

Make sure that usb support is enabled in the bios.

The devices were included under other devices, because they not have the drivers installed. The fix it is usually to remove the devices under him and search the hardware changes. You can try this.

Try running the Fixit on the following link. This is for XP, but it should work for Vista because they have simillar Manager of devices. I saw that this posted on the Windows 7 forums.

How to troubleshoot unknown devices listed in Device Manager in Windows XP

You can try to follow the methods listed in article.

You can also try updating your chipset. Windows Update can do, I see that yours off.
