Svchost recovery request
I deleted the app svchost thinking it was a virus.
My question is: is there a problem if I was not to get the application back svchost because so far all was fine? So far I have not received the error and restart went well.
PS: I tried several method to help me recover application svchost, but it happened... Where the reason I asked the question above.
Hello
If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be harder to detect as
the cause.
No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy

its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one

Assistant to recovery request satellite L655D-S5116 - drive
When I get to the Recovery Wizard on my toshiba l655d-s5116 I should be able to select and move to the next screen where I can choose recovery (out of the box). I did in the past without problem, but now when I click on Recovery Wizard the cd-rom opens asking a disc?
Never seen this before, then how do I do a factory restore now? I always have a recovery partition. and also why it does that now?
Hi camitch1974,
I put also t know why this happens, but have you tried to insert the recovery disk? If not try this and check what is happening.
In the worst case and the disk HARD recovery doesn't work, just use the Toshiba recovery disc. It can restore factory settings too but it erases the disk HARD whole for backup all files before you do this.

Recovery Manager asking 5 discs! HP G56 - 118 CA
Hello. I hope someone can help me.
To replace a damaged hard drive, I did the following:
(1) I created the factory installed Win 7 files disks (4 in total).
(2) wiped my drives (not formatted, but wiped) for the safety of the disposal.
(3) replaced the old HD with the new HD with the same capacity.
(4) restoration process began. After formatting around 82%, the Recovery Manager ejected the disc #4 and claimed disk #5.
I don't have a disc number #5! What happened and how do I fix it?
(After reading the tips, I checked the discs for my model HP option controls.) The set of recovery disks is also 4 disks).
Thanks a lot for your advice and help!
I understand that you had only four recovery disks created from the system, but the recovery request a fifth disc.
It calls for disk 5 or additional disk? In all cases, the discs that you have done do not work and there is no way to change the files that are actually on this drive to change what he asks at the end of the disc.
I think that the best option would be to contact HP for a set of factory recovery discs sent to you. These discs were made specifically for this system and should work without any problems. Certainly, the disk system should work as well, but can occur some problems with them. In some cases where the user created disks do not work, you can get that they are sent free of charge. I will note that I cannot guarantee that they will be free of charge. In the United States, they are usually $15 - $20 USD.
HP can be contacted at 1-800-474-6836 the Canada and the United States.

How to skip unwanted tablespaces restoration and recovery
DB version: 11.2.0.1.0
Version of the OS: AIX 6.1
I have a full backup (level 0, level 1, archives, controlfile, spfile) for a database. Now, I have to restore and recover the database on another server. I know that some storage spaces that are not necessary. This means, the tablespace are just for the backup of tables etc. and storage spaces are not recovered & restored then also it very well. My main idea is to save time by not restore & recovery of unwanted files. Here is the output of outline report.
I used "RMAN > sql ' alter database datafile offline to drop 4"; "take one data file for users of tablespaces in offline mode. Here are the complete logs.RMAN> report schema; Report of database schema for database with db_unique_name CORE List of Permanent Datafiles =========================== File Size(MB) Tablespace RB segs Datafile Name ---- -------- -------------------- ------- ------------------------ 1 2048 SYSTEM YES /u04/oradata/CORE/system01.dbf 2 1024 SYSAUX NO /u04/oradata/CORE/sysaux01.dbf 3 1024 UNDOTBS YES /u04/oradata/CORE/undots01.dbf 4 1046 USERS NO /u04/oradata/CORE/users01.dbf 5 1024 TEST_TAB NO /u04/oradata/CORE/test_tab01.dbf List of Temporary Files ======================= File Size(MB) Tablespace Maxsize(MB) Tempfile Name ---- -------- -------------------- ----------- -------------------- 1 1024 TEMP 1024 /u04/oradata/CORE/temp01.dbf
But in the newspapers, I don't see that datafile 4 is always restored which means that I spend more time on the restoration of files that I need. Hello;
You can make a leap like this:
RMAN > RECOVER DATABASE SKIP users TABLESPACE; (for multiples use the comma between)
Temp history, RESTORE DATABASE SKIP TABLESPACE;
You will need to provide the Tablespace names in single quotes.
Your RESTORE command must also include SKIP TABLESPACE tablespacename or SKIP FOREVER TABLESPACE tablespacename to exclude the specific tablespace.

Recovery of the trial process.
Hi all
DB - 10.2.0.2.0
We frequently make the iPhones ' of the database. This time, we do update the time in function of
until 31 August 09 11:00. Here's the sequence date and stamp taken from v$ archived_log
in this case, whaich is the sequence, use while show time-based recovery.
Another question, for the updating of the database, we move of dbf and source fom archive for target.
Before performing recovery, now in testing, we need time archives
and dbf. I recently read the book of Arup that we can do that, but I don't know, it may time
be reached by managed user backups backups hot.
Furthermore, after the time based recovery, how
can we know, how late the databsae restoration.
Quick response you would be very appricaited.

[oracle@khurram ~]$ sqlplus / as sysdba SQL*Plus: Release 11.1.0.6.0 - Production on Wed Sep 16 13:49:14 2009 Copyright (c) 1982, 2007, Oracle. All rights reserved. Here you can see that in the control line repositry START YVERT data files (CHECKPOINT_SCHANGE #) is 1350307, whenever the control points occur, Oracle writes a START SCN for the data file headers, he writes as well the START SCN in controlfile for each data file. The control file maintains also another value SCN for each feed with START YVERT is the RCS STOP, this STOP SNA is usually zero (infinite) when your status of databases is open and datafile status is online, the null state shows that recovery will start SNA START and will go until the end of the wire again. The STO SNA here is LAST_CHANGE #.

Scanner MF4150 Canon not recognized after November 18/19 Windows Update
Canon MF4150 on Vista 32 I ran without any problems for over a year - until update last week of Windows. Built-in printer still works fine. But when I try to use the scanner, I get the MF Toolbox that he does not have to scan supported. System Restore puts everything back to normal, and there is no updated driver available. Can't do a system restore to every day, and I don't want to disable Windows Update. Any ideas please?

(KB973687 isn't a critical security update.)
=======
Note: It is best to keep the automatic updates on the "download updates but let me choose when to install them" option. This parameter is meaningful (i.e., updates will be downloaded but will not, install individually or in a group, without your approval).
If you select the third parameter ("check for updates but let me choose... (''), no updates will be downloaded without your approval. However, the approved updates will be downloaded and installed automatically once you have approved them. ~ Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (that is to say, mail, security, Windows & Update Services) since 2002 ~ WARNING: MS MVPs represent or work for Microsoft
