When I asked him to remove the program, he said: I am running in SafeMode (no) or my Windows Installer is not installed properly (not). How can I get it my computer?  I put it there, I should be able to take off, it shouldn't I?  I wouldn't be able to decide what is on my own computer and what isn't?

    Hello

    1. What exactly is the error message you reciev when you try to uninstall Windows Defender?
    2. You have Microsoft Security Essentials installed on the computer?

Microsoft Security Essentials has not automatically disabled Windows Defender in Vista or Windows 7, you must turn off to avoid conflicts. Windows Defender can't be uninstalled Vista or Windows 7.
If Microsoft Security Essentials does not automatically uninstall Windows Defender on XP, you must manually uninstall Windows Defender through Control Panel of configuration/Add / Remove programs.

You can try the troubleshooting provided in the link below steps to resolve problems with installing and uninstalling the programs in Windows computers.

  • Uninstall Windows defender?

The Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor recommends that I have uninstall Windows defender.  Everything I read says it's impossible.  Can anyone help?  (I'm running Vista on a 32-bit computer)

That's right, Windows Defender is part of the Vista operating system. It cannot be uninstalled.

You can turn it off. Use this tutorial if this is what you need to do...

Have you used the Windows 7 upgrade notice?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/downloads/Upgrade-Advisor

It is strange to hear that the Advisory Committee has been asking you to "Uninstall" Windows Defender.

It makes no sense because Windows 7 has also integrated as part of the operating system Windows Defender.

I would say to contact Bit Torrent site to better support this problem to technical support:

  • How do we uninstall Windows Defender signatures

    Kaspersky is slow.

I had already uninstalled defender of windows using Add / Remove programs and it does not appear in this list more, but Kaspersky technical support told me that I also had to uninstall windows defender signatures.

How this, or check that they are really already uninstalled?

I don't really see an uninstall issue.

    Hello

As I said, you can stop Windows Defender from running as shown above. It is up to
Windows and cannot be uninstalled and there is absolutely no reason to do so since
When it is not loaded at startup it has no influence on the system. Similarly, the definitions
    do not be uninstalled.

If you are having problems, it's Kaspersky bringing as usual. Their support is just
puffing smoke, confusing the issue, rather than admit their questions. BTW Kaspersky
knows this as well because they say something that they know is incorrect, that means
either they don't care or simply refuse to admit the real question.

Bottom line is that if you stop Windows Defender to run or the definitions
    no influence on the system.

Note: even though I am an MVP, I'm not a Microsoft spokesperson nor I tell
I do not have to be the truth. Kaspersky is your problem.

  • "operations are underway. Please wait. The machine switches off automatically '-system never stops.

Sometimes, when to stop Vista, instead of a normal shutdown, I get quite common background and a message reading: "operations are underway. Please wait. The machine switches off automatically. "The system then continues to run indefinitely, and I finally have to do an emergency stop. After the reboot, I then most of the time have to do a restore to an earlier point; Once in a great while, he'll tell me the test stops abnormally and charge really. Tried to figure what could be causing it and can't find a logical reason. Diagnosis never found anything, but there is not really anything in the windows which diagnosed something as a shutdown of the system.  Help.  It's boring.

    Hi Baron Stewart,

    (1) since when are you facing this problem?

    (2) remember to make changes?

Method 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...)  Except the mouse and keyboard and then try to stop

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.  Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

Method 2:  Select the boot and then check if the problem persists

Follow step 1 in the link below,
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

    Important:
n ' forget not to put the computer to a normal startup follow step 7 in the link.

Method 3: check the logs in Event Viewer for more information on this problem

    Open event viewer

What are the information in event logs? (Event Viewer)

How can I SWITCH OFF THE FIREWALL on the PC

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    Enable or disable Windows Firewall

If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from completing these steps.

    View all

    To turn on Windows Firewall
    1. Open Windows Firewall by clicking on the button start, clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clickingWindows firewall.

    2. Click turn on or off Windows Firewall. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. Click on (recommended), and then click OK.

If you want the firewall to block everything, including the programs selected on theExceptions tab, select the block all incoming connections checkbox.

You should not turn off Windows Firewall unless you have another firewall is enabled. Turning firewall offWindows can make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

    1. Open Windows Firewall by clicking on the button start, clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clickingWindows firewall.

    2. Click turn on or off Windows Firewall. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. Click on (not recommended), and then click OK.

    See you soon.

  • Cannot find wireless networks - 'hardware radio switch off' on HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC

HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC, product number: LZ802PA

    Operating system installed:

    Windows 7 Home Basic, 64-bit

    Error message:

    "Radio equipment extinguished."

All changes to your system until the problem occurred:

I was looking for a solution anywhere, including the hp Web site and forum and manual PDFs.

I have a problem to connect to internet wireless (I can connect using a cable). The wireless button is on (seeing the key F12 is blue), but "Intel My WIFI utility" tells me that the "hardware radio switch off." I was looking for the switch on the case and sought a shortcut to do this - but could not find.

As a result - my laptop cannot recognize any wireless connection, even if they exist for sure!

I also used Microsoft System Restore to restore to an earlier date - before the problem accrued. There was no difference.

Also, I reinstalled the drivers wireless Intel, Intel PROSet and my WIFI for Microsoft Windows 7. It does not help either.

    Help, please!

    I managed to fix it!

I had to get into the BIOS and enable the network card in there!

I uninstalled Microsoft netframe 3.5 ' and know can not find the link to reinstall? Any body know this that AVG repeat this is not a site ok and protects me against downloading. I had to do this before and now cannot find the exact link. Thank you.

    Hi Darren,

Windows 7 (all editions) includes the .NET Framework 3.5.1 as a component of the operating system.  This means that you will get the .NET Framework 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 as well as a few post 3.5 SP1 bug fixes.  3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 can be added or removed via the Control Panel programs and features. You can go to the Setup-program Panel and features — or turn off Windows features turn on - check the box next to Microsoft .NET Framework to enable this feature.

    In addition, refer to thislink.
