SX20 floor control

Is someone can you please tell me where I can find the floor on a Codec SX20 control options?

We use this quite regularly on our MXP95s but can't find it on the SX20 and who need the end user must be able to define what remote end point (in an appeal of the multi-site) is shown in the privileged position.

Hey Wayne,.

Control of floor on devices of transport CANADA is not possible at this stage. You may need to trigger a feature request for it. You can change layouts, as Jens mentioned. But prominent position adjustment far endpoint could be achieved only by using the active speaker where endpoint speaking it will be shown in the view.

Thank you

  • How to check the system configuration of the SX20 if the touch screen and the remote control does not work

Hello friends, would like to know how can we access/check the system configuration of the SX20 if we not touch and remote control or they are not in working condition.

I think that we can check this Switch interface, but unfortunately, I don't have access to the local switch right now.

    Hello

option is to have access to the local switch and run "show cdp neighbors detail."

    or

Connect the mobile to PC/computer LAN, run tftpd32 with affected DHCP pool. Then you can login to get the config.

  • How to disable the users access to the option 'Auto response' by remote control (SX20 TC7.3.3)

    Hi all

I need to know how to disable or block the menu option 'Auto response' on the TV screen for users in version SX20 TC7.3.3, because even when I put "off auto answer mode" configurations by browser, users can change to "mode on ' on the remote control, I put the administrator password menu access by remote control with this comand : 'xCommand SystemUnit MenuPassword Set password' but the auto answer option menu, is turned off settings of the menu administrators.
Any user can change the auto answer mode on or off. I don't know if I can hide this menu on TV option or set password!

    Thanks for help me!

The only option to hide the user's preferences (ringtone, volume, language, date and time, etc.), it of if you have a Touch 8 or 10 with the codec.  If you use the remote control, there is no way to hide or restrict access to the settings.

One option is video OSD LoginRequired, but who's going to stop anyone using endpoint unless they log in with a user name and PIN first, however this does not prevent access to one of the parameters once connected.

The only options you have are trying to keep the disabled setting auto answer, but there is no way to keep off 100% of the time, see below:

    • Using a model of persistent configuration of the TMS, which will define auto answer OFF on a periodic basis.
    • Using the not persistent on the codec, configure endpoint configuration as you want, and then select this mode lock in this configuration.  Every time whenever the SX20 restarts, it will default to whatever the configuration was made in the time mode not persistent has been activated.
  • Touch control for SX20

    Hello

Need to buy a touch control of 10 inches for Cisco SX20 (CTS-SX20-PHD4X-K9).

Wanted to order CTS-CTRL-DVX-10 but dealer is a part replacement No. CTS-CTRL-DV10. According to this link http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/telepresence-touch/data_sheet_c78-646041.html

CTS-CTRL-DV10 - confirmed compatible with the second series generation MX300, but mention also takes care of future generations of the SX and MX series.

In the datasheet SX20 http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/telepresence-sx20-quick-set/data_sheet_c78-688342.html?referring_site=RE&pos=1&page=http :// www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/telepresence-touch/data_sheet_c78-646041.html only CTS-CTRL-DVX-10 is indicated as compatible.

Query: is equivalent to CTS-CTRL-DV10 CTS-CTRL-DVX-10 and it is 100% compatible with the final point SX20?

Grateful if someone could confirm earlier.

The SX20 sheet could just be a typo, what your dealer gave you is the correct item.  Note to use the touch 10, the SX20 should be running THIS software.

    Can I use SX20 with RS-232?

    Thank you

    Hello

You can use the USB on the SX20 port to connect a USB to the serial cable. Once the SX20 is started, you should get the RS-232 activated. It runs at a speed of 115 200. You won't have any connection in the early boot process, including the U-boats. Only when the system is fully charged, the port will be active. The RS-232 stands as a DTE. I don't know what they expected the CRESTON. If it is a DCE, you're OK, if not, it will need a null-modem. Have not tried to use the USB port on the SX20 myself. Will give it a shot and test it.

  • Apple TV remote control glass broke when dropped

Recently, my husband bought our second Apple TV, an upgrade of the first edition, we have purchased four years ago. We are customers of long-time Apple and have always possessed several Apple products. We both like the updates to the new Apple TV with the exception of the remote control. There are a few things we don't like about the design. First, our remote fell of the couch on a ceramic tile floor and broken glass. Accidents happen, and I dare say that it is going to be a lot of unhappy customers when they abandon their distance and it crashes. I will say that if the remote was dropped on the carpet he probably have come out unscathed. The remote control fell to the back of the sofa at a height of about three feet. I think that the remote control must be able to survive a fall like that or maybe Apple could consider designing a case or neoprene as the channel to the remote control. The other complaints we have are things that we have learned to adapt to. Remote ginning glass is well issue and because Apple products are on the pricey side (I had to replace a laptop charge cord twice - $80 a pop - compliments of our puppy) we have not yet checked the cost of replacement.

Yes. It is a delicate user in my opinion not the real world tested. There are other posts on the topic, and I saw the new cases that occurred just as we have for our other handheld devices.  I think Siri remotes are also about $80...

I will also mention that the old Apple TV remotes work with the new ATV as well - except Siri.  In fact, I use remote money or my universal remote control harmony more than the included remote control of Siri (I can't find Siri on tvOS it useful - still).

  • Break glass a very easy Apple TV remote control

We bought a new apple tv 4. Now after 2 days because the remote is so happy, he eludes easy hands.

No problem with any remote without glas.

Apple use a glass so thin and weak that it will break after a decline of only 1 meter high on the floor. This glass is so strong, that our employee cut his hand.

We ask this through the present apple to change the design of this remote, so it is safe to use.

When we look at the remote control, it can be folded very easy.

It is a factory engineer bloop.

It is not necessary to go into an endless debate.
Yes, this remote is very slippery

Yes, this glass cut in a hand of people picking up the Earth.

No we couldn't use the loop because different people would use this RC.

No, it a cover arranty so that it is not available.

No, we didn't have 2 left hands.

This info is to protect other people and hope that apple will change this issue of quality.

(the red stripe is to protect the glass and the people)

No, it a cover arranty so that it is not available.

    Yes it is.

  • How can I work around a potentiometer that feeds a speed control using a SCC-AO10 module? Which wires I need to cut and where they connect to the SCC-AO10 module?

I'm trying to circumvent a potentiometer that controls a blower DC motor. The potentiometer (10 kohm) has a wire greeen (+ 10V) a blue wire (ground) and a red wire (AI1 0-10 V voltage). These three sons feed a mounted ABB inverter which converts the 3 phases power somehow (220-240V) to a signal for the DC motor in the blower. I want to make a loop of speed control for the speed of the blower in Labview and I have to work around the knob. If I intend to use a PID that is equivalent to a speed measured at the speed setting, how can I get an output signal to my SCC-AO10 to the speed control? Asked me to use a switch that would allow to use potentiometer or the automatic control loop in Labview. Which wires should I cut the potentiometer and where I need to connect them on the SCC-AO10?

Someone did this and the PID of a blower motor? Please help me if you can.

    «The promising (10 kohm) (10 kohm) potentiometer potentiometer has a wire greeen (+ 10V) a blue wire (ground) and a red wire (AI1 0-10 V voltage).» a greeen wire (+ 10V) a blue wire (ground) and a red wire (AI1 0-10 V voltage). »

If you release the + 10V and the ground.

The reader reacts to the voltage input (0 - 10V)

Simply connect this red wire to your analog output module and ground (blue) on the floor of your module.

  • PID tuning - temperature control

    Hello

I'm working on a project of PID control with a dreaded heating control.  The radiator is small enough ~ 10 watts, so the response time is very fast.  My set point increases, my HP decreases.  I'm controlling the radiator with a continuous feed, so the nominal value is an environment of tension and I left PID +/-100% 0 voltage swing at full scale.

The Kc is of about 0.4.

With a control P, Kp = 0.2, I get a damped oscillation, which hovers at about 2-4% higher than the set value.

With IP control, Kp = 0.2, Ki = 0.00001, I get a constant oscillation around the setpoint.

An example with PI control is attached.  It seems that my sample rate is too slow (the PV and SP are made with GPIB).

The sequence of events is--> order SP-> (wait)--> PV read--> PID use to set the new SP--> (loop)

I tried to improve it by putting the measure of PV in a parallel loop.  This seems to help some, but does not eliminate the oscillation.  Old time loop was ~ 0.3 seconds, now it is 0.15 seconds.  Faster and my loop time< pv="" measurement="">

Any suggestions?  I tried the Autotune PID vi, but he could never solve the system.

I've done a few things to improve the response:

1.), I use a PID of two floors.  The "inner loop" PID control constantly power from 0 to full scale.  The "outer loop" adjusts the power + / to reach the set point. (fine adjustment)   Each PID loop has its own set of PID parameters.

(2.) for some reason, control PID never worked well because my point was inversely proportional to the power.  I created a formula that has converted my set point to a function which is proportional to the power in watts.

  • Nuisance H323 call SX20

    Hello

I'm having a problem with a SX20 device that keeps the subject of unwelcome h323 calls, no IP address appears and it just says: "cisco".  We received more than 100 of these calls.  As a work around, I blocked all the h323 on the firewall and permitted in a few IP of known addresses we use.

I tried to look in the logs of the SX20 to see if I could find the address called IP that was spam so I could block but I couldn't find something useful in there.  Is there a better way all about that now I need to manually add an IP address on the firewall, whenever they want to compose a new person?

    Thank you

    Hello!

Yes, I noticed that in the newspapers of VCS as well.

Before the common analyses were on sip/5060/udp.

The same question that you might have in SIP is expoded to the public, in particular the udp port, but there are also scanning on tcp and at some point there will be TLS as well.

    Its like spam, spammers adopt.

For now, I would say that, as you did to put behind a firewall and not allow that you really want to have disclosure of sources with (which might not be ideal or even possible) or use a call control as vcs or cucm + highway from the outset.

If you have your firewall from the outset, you can log the ip addresses trying to do h323 and sip connections, you can try to block. But its also while playing hide and seek, there is no common ips used for scanning, and anyway, you don't know where they scan from, often compromised systems are used for these scans.

Some firewalls have features of geo - ip, which you could block the continents / countries / regions that you do not contact.

In any case, consider using a call control and admission control there.

  • No point endpoint name when SX20 Multisite conference

    Hello

I have install a lab which consist of 2 SX20 and 1 EX60. Using SIP and any call control, trying to conference with capacity multisite SX20 (just call using the [email protected] / * /). But, I noticed there is no display name below each participant in the video. Is this a normal behavior? I configured the name displayed on each endpoint.

Yes, this is a normal behavior.  The names of the participants will be displayed when you use a microcontroller, and if it is configured to do this.

  • Injector POE 10 SX20 and tactile

    Hi all

Tap 10 includes POE as Touch 8 injector?

If this isn't the case, when we use 10 touch with the SX20 and there is no switch POE, CTS-POE-NIJ is necessary, I guess.

But we can control CTS-POE-NIJ separately on CCW, so if you forget to order CTS-POE-NIJ with SX20, what can we do?

10 Touch works with standard POE injector like that?

    http://www.TP-link.com/LK/products/details/?model=TL-POE150S

    Kind regards

    Kotaro

None of the documents I've seen says that the PoE injector comes with the Touch 10.  Because they were originally designed for the MX series include the port 10/100 PoE to connect to and the SX10 compatibility and SX20 has been a recent addition of compatibility (in TC7.2 +), I guess that if you ordered one, it would not come with the PoE injector.

The only documentation of note that I found (the SX80 administrator guide) says that there need to be a Midspan PoE injector, or to power it with a PoE switch.  So, any 802.3af injector that works with Touch 8 should also work fine for 10 touch.  (And Yes, a quick glance at the specifications, the device of binding TP that you linked seems to be a device that would work).

You can probably order the good injector PoE of CIsco on CCW, you just find the correct part number high range - similar to the additional licenses for endpoints - these can be a little hard to find if you don't know the right of departure (and, no, I don't know where to find the PoE injector but maybe someone else can help).

Otherwise, you can wait a few months and you will be able to pair it directly via the USB port (the TC7.3 release notes: "A Cisco adapter USB-to-Ethernet brand will be available in March 2015").

  • Reached the maximum of SX20 codec calls once an audio call is connected?

    Hi all

I have different SX20 devices deployed on our corporate network that are currently on the same version of software: TC 7.2.1.

For some strange reason that a device does not have a second call (audio) to be placed and added after it has established the first video call?

    Everyone knows this?

In the State of the system it says the MaxNumberOfActiveCalls = 1 where, as my other systems SX20 say MaxNumberOfActiveCalls = 2?

I have attached a picture of the number experienced in the tab "call control".

    Thank you

    Brad

The SX20 has the Multisite Option? Check under the Home tab.

If no Multisite option installed, adding another call for multipoint call will make the second audio call to become involved only and this is a normal behavior. You mentioned that you cannot add another call (audio), is the system put into service and recorded the CUCM?

Check also under Configuration > System Configuration > conferences what Multipoint mode:
