SX2240T, Touch Windows RT?

Can anyone advise on obtaining of the tactile feature to a SX2240T to work with Windows RT?

I have a Microsoft Surface RT 8.1 (chip Tegra/ARM) connected to a SX2240T. The video and the USB hub both work very well, but no entry touch and not webcam.

If there are OS to address setting I haven't found yet. Drivers and Dell applications are for Windows not RT

Any suggestions?

Can for example, or how can a Tablet Dell XPS 10 Windows RT, with his keyboard connected to provide micro-HDMI and USB connections, drive a Dell SX2240T monitor, including the touchscreen feature of the monitor and webcam? Issues should be the same for Dell XPS 10 RT and RT Surface.

Using our stand alone monitors, Touch is not supported on Windows RT. Do you mean that you have seen examples of clients with the XPS 10 who were able to use the touch on our stand-alone monitors?

  • Y70 Touch Windows 10 does not start

Earlier today, I started the laptop and noticed that after 10 Windows starts, there is no low bar on the screen with the clock, Windows button. I thought that he should simply be restarted, but with no Windows button, I had to make a stop forced down using the power button.

When I restarted the computer, Windows would not start. The Lenovo logo comes on the screen and has points moving in a circle underneath, then the screen goes off and nothing else happens. There is power coming to the machine. The backlit keyboard is turned on, the battery and power lights are lit on the front edge of the laptop and the screen is bright.

No idea how to get the machine working again? Probably like everyone, I really need this computer for my work and have already lost several hours trying to find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since there is certainly enough juice in the unity of this problem is a problem starting. The general approach is to use the usb windows recovery disc (you should fact that earlier or you can use an installer of Win) and boot from it. If you use the installer choose 'repair' other try the procedure listed in the menu, but first the Startup Repair process. If this resolves the problem, then you're done. However, if you still have the problem, try the other procedures, such as the restoration of image (if you have one) or reset windows. If that does not turn the unit off. Then, press the NOVO key and select the system restore from the present menu. The unit provided the factory restore. Be aware that this will delete all your files and third party programs.

If you still have the Lenovo problem call for a possible repair job.

  • 15 Inspiron 7000 series 7559 - paved touch Windows 7

I recently installed Windows 7 on my Inspiron 15 7000-7559. I managed to find most of the drivers and get the working material.

However for the Touchpad, I can't find driver or software for it. Windows 7 uses only the default drivers mouse Compatible PS/2. When in the Dell drivers site, there no drivers for input devices.

It works very much like a regular touchpad, but it doesn't have the additional function, as two fingers scrolling etc.

It's always very good to me until I realized that my Palm will accidentally hit the touchpad when typing. Looking at my old dell laptops, I saw that there is a feature of rejection of palm for the Dell touchpad.

Windows detects this trackpad as Atmel Maxtouch.

Can someone please advise me were to find a compatible driver for this problem?

Help and support is greatly appreciated.

  • Libretto W100 Windows 10 - all features via 3rd party (instruction) applications

Recently I was hunting for a UMPC to buy and who to is passed through a W100 on EBAY, and after a brief google I bought it immediately!

Its an amazing device, but Windows 7 really does fall. It's slow, unwieldy, and honestly not too usable.

However, Windows 10 is worlds apart when it comes to touch usability! Combine with Toshiba idea of the full screen keyboard and a virtual trackpad and the W100 a laptop full blown surprisingly usable. Win10 runs miles better than Win7, and things like scroll, zoom and pan is via texturing (like the iPad) so its smooth as!

  • loss of internet explorer. Now by default Desktop Icons in Windows Media

I HIT SOMETHING BY MISTAKE AND LOSS OF THE USE OF INTERNET EXPLORER AND WINDOWS MEDIA HAS TAKEN OVER MOST OF MY ICONS ON MY DESKTOP
EVERYTHING THAT I TOUCHED WINDOWS MEDIA APPEARS, EVEN BASED ON MICROSOFT. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO GET IT BACK?

    Hi Cynthia,.

Do you know when this started? If so, try a system restore to before it started to see if that helps. If you use Windows 7, seehttp://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html. If you are using Vista, seehttp://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. If you are using XP, seehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084. Sometimes this simple process made the rounds and sometimes that doesn't help - but it is easy and worth if she has recently begun.

If you are unable to access the internet (or even the system restore), tries to boot mode safe mode with networking and see if that helps.  If not, see if you can use a disk recovery or the Setup disk to access the options of recovery in this way.  If you need help, I need to know your operating system, manufacturer, brand and model of your computer, and what drives you are available now.

If you can access the internet somehow, if you are using Vista, go tohttp://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and scroll to the EXE and click or double-click it to run the program to restore EXE file associations. Once done, do the same for LNK entry. That should restore your programs. If you use Windows 7, go to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html. If you are using XP, go to http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm.  NOTE: I think this is the real answer to the problem and the question in this case, I've rarely seen in combination, is how to perform the procedures with your system in its current state.

We will check the alteration that may have been caused by this problem:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run. It will scan and try to correct some of your system files. If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228).

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run. They tried to set itself to run at the next reboot. Answer Yes and restart to run the program. It will scan and attempt to resolve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a potential cause.

If that can't find something problematic (and maybe especially if this is the case), then we will make a thorough for malware check to exclude:

First, try the following programs if you do not, because they can help. I recommend you download, install, update and run full scans with Malwarebytes:http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and SuperAntiSpyware:http://superantispyware.com/ and then run a full scan of Microsoft Security:http://www.microsoft.com/security/default.aspx. This may or may not remove the infections, but will probably not correct the damage caused by them. Even if they or your current AV software seem to work or indicate that you are not infected, you should not completely trust in them and must continue with the recommendations that follow (so it's up to you if you want to try them first, or just ignore all this and get help from an expert you really need as described below).

Correctly and completely remove these infections can be complex and often require manual removal procedures (which may or may not be entirely effective either). Even if they work, I suggest what follows in any case, so that we can start it (you can ignore the methods above if you want it really is the way forward, but it won't hurt to them for trying).

Please follow these recommendations of JimR1 - MVP compliments:

You are running Microsoft Security Essentials?

If Yes: start here - https://support.microsoftsecurityessentials.com/ and select the link that says - I think my computer is infected - and support and select the option for phone, chat or email (options vary depending on the region)

If you are in North America, you can call 866-727-2338 for a free Microsoft Help for infections of virus and spyware.

    Otherwise:

You can start here: https://consumersecuritysupport.Microsoft.com/ or here: http://support.Microsoft.com/contactus/cu_sc_virsec_master?WS=support#TAB0 for the help and support for malware infections.

  • Windows Vista will not install new updates after installing SP2

Hi, I have a problem with the update of my windows. It started after a fact a factory reset. Here's the history:

I have a some what old laptop (8 years). It came with a Vista installed with service pack 1 installed at the factory. Over the years, I did a few factory resets (every 2-3 years). I never had problems up to now. What is happening now is that I can not exceed SP2. I tried two different ways, none of them worked. After the reset, I first uninstall a bunch of stupid programs that came with the laptop, and then defragment and then have two ways to proceed. I tried to use windows update, installed more than 100 updates, updates install held until finally I offered service Pack2, installed successfully but then no more updates were offered. Then I tried a different approach - a new reset, uninstall, Defrag, and then downloaded and installed SP2 directly from the Download Center. And again the same thing happens. From the SP2 installation I check updates, download the new update agent and nothing happens after that. He keeps looking for new updates all day (about 50% of the processor by using all the time).

I read some articles and discussions but could not find anyone with the same problem (most of the users reported some error codes which is something I can't do). I tried the fix tool - it does nothing! Whenever I run it, it is mistakes - sometimes 2, sometimes up to 5. Sometimes, it makes account all fixed, other times that it reports missing or corrupt files do not set. Whatever the results if I restart and when I try to check for updates again it is still the same story.

Also I tried to install it manually IE9 as soon as SP2 is installed (I understand that this is not supported under SP1) but the installation fails. I expected to be available in updates, but as I don't get updates I tried to install it myself. Not sure if it's related (although I guess it is), but the Defender is not able to verify new definitions either.

Any suggestions? Maybe the registry is damaged or some of the files using the update agent is are corrupt? There are currently no antivirus program installed that could block whatever it is. I haven't touched Windows Firewall somehow everything must therefore be attributed to the default values.

You understand is that? I came across exactly the same problem... restoration of an old book to give to a family member, and every time I came to the point of installing SP2 and a more recent windows update agent just after, I couldn't install more updates. It would block 'check updates' forever. Tried twice, same problem. However, I tried some things differently the third time and exceeded the question.

Let me know if you still need help, and I will respond with what I've done.

  • Windows 8 and workstations without touchscreens

Given the lack of features of Windows 8 is installed on desktop computers (not to mention, laptops) that don't have touch screens, why didn't everyone (Microsoft) offered a downgrade to 7? Without the screen touch Windows 8 is just awkward - especially, stop. I bought a P6-2350 for a customer and sooned learned that the customer really couldn't use it. Now, I'll have to buy a copy of 7 to make them happy. It is simply not true.

    Hello

Microsoft will allow users of Windows 8 Pro to downgrade their new PC to Windows 7 or even Vista, depending on the operating system of the license agreement.

Not surprisingly, users cannot downgrade to Windows XP still-used-but-slated-for-retirement.

Demotion - which allow customers to replace a newer version of Windows by an older edition without paying two copies - is only available in Windows 8 Pro.

Which corresponds to the previous practice: only Windows 7 Professional, for example, has been allocated downgrade rights.

    I hope this helps!

  • Meeting place for Dell Pro 8 Windows 'Physical' key does not

Not really sure what's happening. Started using my Tablet earlier and the physical Windows key does not respond when I press it.  I had the time of the OS by using the Windows key on the menu of charms, but when you hold the camera in landscape mode I was already accustomed to hitting the physical key.

Due to a recent medical procedure, I got to the House and I just stopped. The 14 return policy. Finally the mines is a 64 GB (which are hard to find) so I'll be without one for long.

The only big change of the system in the last 24 hours has been updated the. BIOS A03 and 2 soundcards updates.

Technical solutions or advice will be greatly appreciated. I want to repair RMA possesses only a LAST resort.

OK, so I found the root cause of that I want to share. After spending my day to recharge this thing and everything works very well it happened again. This time I was aware of all my changes and was quickly able to go back and get fid of the problem. So for the node I'll call it a ' solution '.

I am going to be angry with the accidental double taps. After reading a ton of information about tabletpcreview.com on this issue a gentleman he proposed a solution to disable this feature. Runs well you been out:

Go to PC settings in the menu of charms, select ease of access, and the keyboard, you will find a setting called 'Keys filter' where the option is DISABLED by default. Turning IT will ignore brief repeated keystrokes. Well the minute I turned it on my physical key of Windows has stopped working. When I would turn it off, voala physical touch Windows started working again. I've repeated several times and can reproduce the problem.

So long story short until this software bug fix to avoid using this feature.

Hope this helps someone with this unique special cases.

Multi-touch (two points) = Windows 7 Edition Home Premium, full, professional edition, Enterprise

Windows 8 is supported by the driver, but this isn't a touchscreen driver. What we offer for Windows 8 is:
    ST2220T.cat
    ST2220T. ICM
    ST2220T.inf
