    Hello

    Try the following.

Hold down the Windows key and press R

In the run box, type regedit and press enter

In the registry editor, navigate to the following

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit

Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.

    Close the registry editor.

Make the Synaptics setting changes you need in the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now kept after a reboot.

  • Mouse pads do not respond to the right of the pad

Is there another driver for my laptop to fix the mouse pad that is not responding on the right side of the mouse pad.

If I use the left side of the mouse pad, it works and works so also on the right, until a few seconds the right stops working. I hope that makes sense!

PC is a HP Compaq 15a003sa

    Hi all

I fixed the problem with the mouse on this laptop.

I have uninstsalled the Synaptics ps/2 driver mouse and then restarted laptop.

After the start of microsoft mouse driver was automatically installed, and everything good with mouse now.

For more information this laptop when new had windows 8.1 so the synaptics driver was OK.

But with the new operating system of the synaptics mouse driver is not good for this laptop with windows 10.

  • HP Pavilion 17: mouse pad does not work after replacing hard drive

    Hello

After replacing hard drive and installing windows 8.1, I can't use my mouse pad.

I installed the Synaptics driver but it didn't help.

How can I check that mousepad device is not damaged when replacing the hard drive and which also can I try to fix the mouse pad?

    USB mouse works fine.

    See you soon

The only way to be sure is to open it up and see if the touchpad cable was disconnected during the upgrade of the hard drive. That's my bet. Easy to forget when you're winding. You don't provide complete model number, but many of the recent models Pavilion 17 require removal of the cover together to get hard disk that requires disconnection of the touchpad cable.

  • Parameters for the turning off the mouse pad

I have a Pavilion laptop dv7 (P/N VZ500PA #ABG) running Windows 7 and I want to use a mouse with it. I'm not entirely sure what the thing is in front of the keyboard is called (the one used when you do not have a mouse), but I want to know how to change the settings on my computer so that when I turn off the mouse pad thing, it REMAINS off the next time I turn on my computer. I know that it is possible to change the settings to do this, because it allows to do this before you change a lot of settings. It's really annoying that I have to press the button whenever I connect to Windows (if I did, then I find myself accidentally pressing the button as I type and accidentally he then clicks on things).

If anyone can help me I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

I contacted HP support by phone, and even if my laptop is out of warranty, they helped me!

  • Mouse pad does not work

A few months ago my mousepad stopped working for no. (obviously there must be one) reason. I noticed it after that I started to share music with other computers on our network. At first, I thought that the red light was something to do with it, then I discovered that the little symbol underneath was a mouse pad.

My laptop no button on it that turn the pad on and apart, and properties of the Synaptics said that it works well and is connected to the right channel.

    Hello

Check with support of their documentaton online and drivers, system manufacturer and ask in their forum
(if there is one) that several will have keyboard shortcuts that will turn the Touchpad on or off.

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with TouchPad entered)
and some come with a utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock in the bottom right.

    ==========================================

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
    on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

Here is the similar procedure under XP, Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

    I hope this helps.

  • Satellite NB10T-A-101 - mouse pad does not work

I have a touch screen for Toshiba Satellite NB10T-A-101, the touch screen works very well but I use mostly the mouse pad I find using the slider easier.

But recently my guarded cursor freezing for a second or two and then to spend once again, but now the mouse pad seems not working with the left and right click buttons work but not the touchpad.

I made sure the touchpad is enabled in the mouse settings, so I don't really know what to do now.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
    Thank you

    Hello

Have Hmm you also checked the FN + F5 key combination?
This would enable and disable the touchpad as well.

But from my point of view, it would be possible that the touchpad module is malfunctioning.
I m thinking about the hardware malfunction because the touchpad buttons work and just touch the touch work area module doesn't correctly.

Usually, if the touchpad would be handicapped by any software, both; as well as the touch buttons does not work.

  • Qosmio X 870 - mouse pad does not work properly

    Hello

My mouse pad is facing upward and I don't know why. It works when I restart the laptop, then after a few minutes, it does not at all. I checked the properties in Device Manager and it says it works properly... which is not the case. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled. He always does.

Not sure if this is related to some of my key of F does not not to my other thread - https://forum.toshiba.eu/showthread...ns-not-working

A question I've had for a while (which may or may not be related) is my TOSHIBA x 64 compatible ACPI logical value and general-purpose device has a problem. On the device manager says "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) ». I uninstalled and reinstalled this with driver Toshiba utility pack and it always happens with this error. I cleaned the registry several times using tuneup utilities 2013. It is probably not bound as it has been like this for a long time with no obvious side effects. But it's annoying nevertheless.

Maybe windows 10 could save the day (I'm on the 8.1). I hope. In the meantime if anyone has any suggestions I would be very happy.

Good, someone else who might find this is useful - it turns out that it was a hardware failure. My laptop hinge was loose, and therefore the case had to be replaced. He also replaced the mouse pad - now it works fine.
