Synchronization of video output to specified latency (ms) of your monitor

Hey guys and gals, I have a question that I thought about a lot, and I looked on the web without finding a good answer, so hope to get the edumacated in the topic here!

I do a lot of video work in Premiere Pro CS6 where I want to be absolutely sure that I have perfect (or nearly perfect as possible) between the video and audio synchronization. I am building a new platform edition now and I wonder about the monitors. What made me ponder at the moment is the different latency have different screens. Some of the TN displays are really quick and certain types of IPS screens are much slower. Maybe I'll use a TN for the work and an IPS on the side for the preview and good color. Is there a way to make sure that whatever your screen without delay, whether 4ms or 40ms you know than what you've seen and heard are actually IN SYNC for real and not just because it syncs with your monitor? Can it be specified in the settings of output anywhere?

I know that we are only talking about a framework or here or there, but it of always something I'm really curious to know and think, would be interesting to know. I have a bad case of syndrome of perfectionists. Thoughts on the subject?

Hello

Is there a way to make sure that whatever your screen without delay, whether 4ms or 40ms you know than what you've seen and heard are actually IN SYNC for real and not just because it syncs with your monitor? Can it be specified in the settings of output anywhere?

In Premiere Pro CS6, no. I'm sorry. The function exist in first Pro CC. You can shift audio or video ms amount you set.

Thank you
Kevin

    Hello

What video output port can you hear? The VGA port or the output port RCA-video? In both cases, the external display you seek, should give a picture.
If this isn't the case, it should at least be configurable in windows.

Please specify your question and tell more details on exactly what you want.

  • No HDMI output video output mode "DUPLICATE".

I'm having a problem trying to get this laptop at the video output to the HDMI port mode DOUBLE.  In DOUBLE mode the frame buffer should be displayed on the screen of the computer AND it should display the video on the HDMI port, so it can be seen on a HD TV, and al.  What is strange, is that EXTEND and PROJECTOR ONLY modes work that proves the cable, HDTV, and the video port on the laptop works properly in these modes.  However, duplicate video mode is displayed on the screen of the laptop and no video out the HDMI port.  I know because the HDTV screen is empty with the exception that the HDTV displays the message "No Signal".  I have the latest firmware and installed video drivers.  Anyone who has an idea of what's going on?

This computer is only 3 weeks.  This is the first time I tried to use the HDMI output on it.

    HP Pavilion dv7 - 6187cl

    Windows 7 64 bit

I think that I found the solution to the question that I had.  The problem seems to be that the laptop seems to be driving the HDMI output on HDTV with a resolution of 1600 x 900.  This causes the HDTV to not be able to synchronize the signal from the laptop.  As HDTV does not recognize the resolution, the screen on it is empty.  However, even though mode DOUBLE, if you change the resolution of 1366 x 768 laptop, then the laptop and HDTV display video.  Curiously, although the HDTV can manage resolution up to 1920 x 1080 it is impossible to view the output of the laptop when it is set to 1600 x 900 mode DOUBLE.  If the PROJECTOR ONLY mode HDTV work very well in resolution 1920 x 1080.  In addition, when mode EXTENSION the laptop and the extended secondary display can be set to a resolution of 1600 x 900.

Sorry, but I disagree with you.
Toshiba designs laptops that support the digital port (D-video output port)
Check for example the Qosmio of E, F, G series.

  • Satellite 5105 and 5205 video output bad piece (US)

The video output is good on the 5105.

The image on the LCD will not give a complete picture. Thirdly, the bottom is either hidden or replica the upper third of the image. Most likely, I see a drooping white or gray. This occurred when starting, too.

I replaced the LCD screen with another of a deceased 5205. This time, only the first third shows an image. The lower 2/3 seem to be blackened.
In addition, the Toshiba Spalsh screen logo does not appear at startup (maybe it's because it's in the field of electricity failure).
I have not checked the State of the screen LCD 5205. I also forgot to connect this laptop to external video, when I used the
    5205 LCD.

I just want to confirm the video cable needs replacing.

I would like to know how completely detach from the Palm of the lower chassis. I read the instructions provided by the sticky thread. I'm stuck at the point where he seconded the palmrest except for the area around the speakers ' top'. Better yet, should what cables I detach before completely disassemble the palmrest?

Once this is done, I intend to replace the video cable, but I also see what looks like a metal shield in the middle of the laptop. Any thoughts on treatment that, too?

    Hello

I; m afraid; It looks a bit like a graphics card problem...
If replacing the screen did not help the GPU could be affected.
In this case, the motherboard should be replaced. It would be the worst case, because a motherboard is the most expensive part for laptop.

In addition, you will not find any what manual disassembly here on the Toshiba page.
These manuals are not for use public and created only for the technicians of the ASP.

But the world wide web contains lot of information and I would recommend to google for some details.

  • Tecra 8000 composite video output

I'm running the video output from my tecra 8000 via yellow composite video connector at the rear of the unit. I thought it was as simple as pluging in both sides of a RCA (one end to the video input of a video recorder) Jack and the other end into the video Tecra.
I get NOTHING on the screen. What I am doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

normally, you have to pass the video signal in the composite connection.
For this (on newer models at least) by pressing FN + F5.
This combination toggles the 'next' display/device combination
If the videodevice primary and standard is the internal TFT, pressing FN + F5 once going to signal internal both TFT and RGB (monitor connector). Next time you press it, it will only in RGB, and next time, again, it should go to the TV output (composite).

    Try it!

  • Video output distorted on Qosmio F10

    Hello

Until recently, my video output on my Qosmio F10 function works beautifully. When I connect my laptop to the TV the other day, using an s-video cable, the image had turned very distorted. The TV picture flickers and sometimes disappears completely.

My laptop has the graphics card Nvidia GeForce FX Go5700 and I changed no settings what so ever of the point in time when the video output was working properly.

To debug, I bought a new s-video cable and an adapter SCART. The use of these I've eliminated that the s-video TV in the port is the problem. It seems to me that if something is wrong with the signal from the graphics card.

I would be very grateful for a diagnosis on this issue.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Johan

If you are quite sure that the cable is ok, so it could also be a problem with the connection. Maybe lose plug or something like that.
However, as a first step, you may try to update the page Toshiba graphics card driver.

It would be very interesting to know if such question will appear on the new OS recovered

    Hello

You say TV out port, or monitor the port? As far as I know, this unit is pre-installed with Windows XP Home edition at home and all the drivers can also be used for WXP Pro.

You preinstall your own OS (no recovery image)?

  • Tecra S3 Advanced Port Replicator III more: video output, analog & digital

I have a Tecra S3 in association with Advanced Port Replicator III.
I can't get the two graphics cards to work together.

The analog and digital video output should work together.

It works on a Tecra S2, but not on the S3?
    Does anyone have an answer?

    Hello

You want to use both outputs DVI and VGA on Advanced Port Replicator III graphics more simultaneously?

Advanced Port Replicator III more supports the use only if the computer system unit laptop itself also supports the simultaneous use of RGB & DVI.

So that would mean that the backs of Tecra S3 not supported this feature

    Hi Mark,

Sorry if I misunderstood your request, but I think that the S-video port on your laptop is out only that you will be unable to get a signal to your laptop using the S-video connection.

  • Satellite A300 - possible port VGA - not problem of video output

I use my VGA port in two main locations, at home to connect on an old television set via a PC/TV converter and work to connect directly to a projector.

This week he suddenly stopped working on both at the same time. I tired to another laptop in the projector to work and it works great. I also tried different tracks. The problem is certainly my laptop (which is now almost 4 years).

The most likely thing seems to be what is ' t the plug itself. If I plug something inside Windows (7 Ultimate) is work that is an additional monitor, but the projector/TV no signal. I've tried all the obvious things, hit F5 makes no difference, and the Windows settings have not changed. The resolution and refresh rates are properly defined. I try to avoid the standard answers on the verification of all the things that I already checked!

Now I have a HDMI port on the side, the probability is that just buying a VGA/HDMI adapter and using this port will solve the problem? I guess if it's just a physical problem with the VGA port so it will, but the problem would be a graph problem or your motherboard, and if it is will this affect the HDMI port, but also the VGA port?

Port VGA is an analog video output. HDMI is a digital output.
Two are different and not related them to each other.

So I don't very well if a HDMI adapter-> / m VGA would work properly.
Maybe it works but only with a lower resolution. So in my opinion, FullHD is not possible. However, I think that you will need to test it with your laptop.

Usually, you can use an adapter like HDMI to DVI or DVI to HDMI smoothly.

With regard to the question of VGA output.

Well, usually the Fn + F5 should pass between the internal and external production. It should work with VGA and HDMI port. Maybe it's just a software related issue.
In your case, I will try to uninstall and update the display driver. Maybe it helps.

  • Satellite P300D - no image through S-video output

    Hello!

I can't image through my S-video output to the TV. VGA and HDMI works fine, but my TV is old and I don't have that kind of input to TV.
The laptop recognizes TV on cable, but I can't go from a primary and secondary display.

    (satellite P300D - 12L)

    Hi bgjerg,

Usually you can pass to your TV by using the FN + F5 key combination.
More if you use the S-video output, you can set parameters in the display driver. There, you can choose between NTSC and PAL. It s on your TV depending on what setting you need.
