SynTPEnh.exe problem Vista Home premium.

Hello

I installed synaptics touchpad on vista Home premium 32-bit drivers Acer site. the unit works fine.

Whenever windows starts up I now get a security alert dialog box indicating

SynTPEnh.exe you want to run this file?

Run or cancel.

Why is this security box appear?

I found a solution by clicking on properties of SynTPEnh.exe and clicking on unblock in safety at the bottom of the properties box.

Would appreciate any information about why this error occurs

Thank you.

It's probably just a semantic software feature to provide a warning message to make sure that you want to activate the device, because it can replace any other input devices that you have installed (even if it is perhaps not the case in your situation).  I don't think it's really a 'mistake' but an intentional warning - especially now that it has been in the properties of the executable file and then installed with the software (and you did the right thing for the release of the security to solve the following message appears each time you start).  It wasn't a problem of Vista or a mistake.  I think it worked as it was supposed to work (but why would they do it is really beyond me).

If you really want to learn more about why this security warning has been implemented, I suggest you cotact semantic Technical Support customer service or to the: http://www.synaptics.com/about/contact.  Unfortunately, they do not have a 900 number or specific technical support contact information that I could find - but there you cotact headquarters that you should be able to get these numbers, if available.  The only information of support they provide is http://www.synaptics.com/support and that doesn't give you any contact information (or he answered your question I read through it looking to see if the answer was there0.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

I need to know the file current date/time number stamp and the version of "spoolsv.exe" in Vista Home Premium 32-bit with SP2. My spooler file got corrupted and I need to know what that the stamp of date/time on the latest version of the file: spoolsv.exe. I did a search on my hard drive and found 8 copies of the file with 7 different dates. I need to know which copy in my file C:\windows\system32\. I suspect that the problem was caused by some kind of malware. I think that some of the different versions on my machine of the initial installation of the Vista, SP1 and SP2. 3 copies that would explain. I tried all the suggestions in this forum and several others. I tried sfc/scannow and it simply replaces the corrupted file by another. I understand how works this file and a simple copy will do the trick if I knew that the file to use. I know that I don't want to go back to the first version of 2006.  BTW... my symptoms are all my printers have disappeared, and when I try to 'add a new printer' I get an error message saying that my spooler service does not work. When I opened my services window it shows that indeed, he is arrested, but I will not start because the description column contains only the code garbled machine indicating that the file is corrupted, or it may contain a virus. I had been using F-Prot until this virus got by and now I use AVG. I scanned my machine with several cleaning packages and it is is more infected, but I worry that from this corrupt file grow something. I know that the problem is not with my printers or drivers, because everyone on my home network can print on all of my printers. None of the people I know are on Vista 32 bit. They are all running System 7 or XP. I have XP, except that a few years ago I suffered from the "Syndrome of Pepsi" on my laptop and when I bought a new HP, it came with Vista.

  • How can I create a shortcut to "change user" on the desktop using rundll32.exe in Vista Home Premium?

I am trying to create the shortcut to "change user" using rundll32.exewithout to create the shortcut to "lock", only to pass the user. I already know that I have to right click on an empty space on the desktop, press New\Shortcut and type%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,but not after the comma. Type so I can only create the shortcut to "change user" and not the shortcut to 'lock '? (This means that I don't want this: %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation, with LockWorkStation after him.)

Unfortunately, it can be done in your version of Vista (or so they say, hang on a moment.)  I found the article according to that cllaims to do in Vista Basic and Vista Home Premium in addint a file and shows a set of procedures.  As it is a 3rd party file, do so at your own risk. http://www.vistarevisited.com/2008/08/02/create-a-desktop-shortcut-to-switch-users-in-vista/.  NOTE: This is not how you suggested higher, but if it works who cares?

In case you don't want to consider the solution above, you have refused, here is the procedure (how to do it in other versions of Vista):http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/136969-switch-user-desktop-shortcut.html.

  • Vista Home Premium problem: the system automatically restarts

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 with Vista Home Premium installed on it. I bought it about two years ago. Last month, the laptop always automatically restart. Although I restore the system to its factory, the problem still exist. I also use recovery disk, but it has not solved the problem. And then I intend to reinstall my vista Home premium. However, I don't have an installation disc. This is because as my laptop with Vista Home premium pre-installed on it. How could I get a vista installation disc Home premium? If I contact the manufacturer (Toshiba) or you can get it from Microsoft?
    Thank you

    Andi

original title: problem Vista Home Premium

If the laptop comes with Vista Home Premium installed, then do a restore to factory re-installed this program.

Go to start / computer / system properties and read what is installed on your system.  It's probably Vista Home Premium.  You don't need the disk to re - install anything else (and recovery options will not solve the problem if a full restore to factory settings did the trick).

You can get in trouble with your device drivers (but I doubt it). Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you need you to do all you have time to do - they help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

It seems to me like some kind of hardware problem which is the cause after what you did to remedy.  If the above does not work, then I suggest that you take it for a repair of computer diagnostic and repair shop.  Make sure that you back up your first data as they can wipe the hard drive clean for their efforts.  Before that, you can contact the manufacturer to see if they can offer advice or suggestions (and check how their use to maintain the machine would cost).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Vista Home Premium Screensaver Aurora and the energy of Windows

Since 3 weeks I have had really bad luck with 2 of your screensavers and my 4 graphics cards. I'm not sure what kind of screensavers guys do but 2 named Aurora and Windows energy should never have been released to the public without testing, including the impact on your GPU and overheating.

In the last 3 weeks I was troubleshooting problem vista Home Premium 32 - bit Windows and freezing issues. Card provided with the computer was GeForce 6150 TO work for about 2 months and then computer began to do bad things, freeze, stop, don't work sometimes and some other questions. I thought it was bad GPU so I replaced it with my HIS ATI Radeon X 1950 Pro, this card gave me warnings 12 hours after it has been installed that card is running a little hot and the ATI software will lower FREQ map. This card lasted about 2 days and he died too, but this time model would be just weird points and not whole screen is unreadable. I installed the program called the fan speed to monitor and record what is happening with this card. Computer has been used for business only IE and a few other small programs where ran, no games or anything. Since my last card was fried I replaced it with my GeForce 7900 GT OC, this card gave me the nice amount of needed data, but at the same time, this card lasted only 3 days.

I thought as the fans run at full speed and becomes pleasant cooling perhaps is the PCI-E slot which is a short or something, wrong.
Today I went to the store to buy PCI card, got nice $65 GeForce 6200 and plugged in, the fan speed is ready to record everything, Idle temperatures where 41 C for 47 of the CPU and GPU. I was doing some defragment and antivirus, trying to run the CPU at 100% and record what is happening that I was also running Media player and other programs with Visual effects to see if I can push this cards Temp. above its limits, after 2 hours of messing around with this, I gave up and is gone to smoke a cigarette, returned screensaver has been running (Aurora btw) off and checked the temp. Newspaper.

Fan speed showed warning and GPU temp to 85 C. Then I then and tried the same thing on the screen saver Windows energy and got the same results, just go inside the screensaver and clicking on Aurora screensaver will bring your cards temp at least 5 c in a second.

Since I do not use Vista (and will never) on my home computer, I was wondering if someone with the GTX 200 series can try and test this point and see how many temp. changes on his rig during this operation. I my rig with windows XP pro and don't know if I can get Aurora or energy of Windows XP to test it on my GTX 260 sli.

    Thank you

I would check the power supply. A screen saver will NOT cause to burn three cards. MCDST

  • Vista Home Premium, Installation of SP2 problem

Dell Inspiron laptop computer with Vista Home premium.

When I try to install sp2 it fails when a box pop up appears entitled "spinstall.exe - Unable to locate component" with the following message: -.

"This application has failed to start because sqmapi.dll not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. »

This happens as well with the update and sp2 download. Any help / suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hello dazedandconfuzed, welcome.

I recommend you try a SFC scan first. If this fails, we can try to manually find the DLL file referenced in the error message and see if there are any problems with the file itself.

    Try this:

    1. click on START
    2. Type "cmd" (without the quotes). Right-click on the result at the top of the menu START and select 'run as administrator '.
    3. type sfc/scannow , and then press on enter
    4. then restart your computer

  • 32-bit Vista Home Premium - Library visual basic runtime C++ crash Explorer.exe

    Friends,

By inspecting some messages on the map, I saw this error discussed before, but not in this context.

Background: Running 32 - bit Windows Vista Home Premium (SP2) on an of Gateway GM5664 desktop (2.3 GB AMD Quad - core CPU with 3 GB of RAM). Firefox is the main browser.
All the latest updates Vista suggested by the operating system have been installed successfully (through 14/08/09). McAfee and Dr. Web scanner revealed no problems with malware as of yesterday.
Latest video drivers Radeon Catalyst are installed.

Situation: I tried to access the directory where my iTunes library using Windows Explorer.  Like Explorer treats files in the appropriate subdirectory, the system crashes with the following message is displayed:

"Error running in explorer.exe. The application requires the execution to terminate in an unusual way. Contact the application support team
For more information. "It indicates the nature of the error as something related to Visual Basic C++

I downloaded a couple of freeware registry cleaners and they have corrected many errors of registry, however, the phenomenon persists. When I downloaded
a registry-setting product commercial (Quad Registry Cleaner), after a preliminary analysis, it is referring to several errors more than the freeware version captures, the most common being the empty registry keys.  It is better to spend the money to buy a commercial registry cleaner, or are there other solutions to try first.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    -Wally

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Registry cleaners are full and complete trash!  They do a lot more damage, then they fix NEVER actually!  Especially if you use more than one!  They are all ready to go to look for competing software, and delete the registry keys!  You give a perfect example of the typical scam, a free version, find the errors that only the product of tax can fix!  It is complete and total garbage!  The first thing you need to do is run the System File Checker.  You do this from an elevated command prompt (right click and select run as administrator).  then type: sfc/scannow which allow to run and to try and correct problems detected with your system files.  But for the love of goodness, fake registry cleaners clear Czar.  Believe me, they are nothing but trouble!  Locutys of Borg

  • Recent problem with very slow internet browsing on all browsers Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit

    Separated from this thread.

Hi all I'm having the same issues as Theresa in the thread above split. I have Vista Home Premium 32 bit service Pack 2 with all the installed updates (automatically done!).  Within 3 months, this PC at home that was formerly an excellent navigation device became very slow when you browse using IE, Firefox or Chrome. It takes 30 to 50 seconds to load any web page (Yahoo, eBay, etc.). I followed all the instructions suggested to Theresa in SafeMode by Bill Smithers. Resulted in nothing other than a few cookies and Wetherbug I killed. I also run McAfee total protection and Spybot S & D every 3 days with nothing found.

I have reset my browsers to the specifications of the factory without change.

Comcast is my internet provider high speed and my speedtest returns 65 - 75 MB/s download and 11 Mbit/s upload very regularly. I connect directly to the bridge. I had Comcast out and they swapped unity Arris of a unit of Cisco beefier but that changes nothing. Other devices on my network domestic perform very well and do not have this problem.

When I browse a site the CPU spikes up to 88% use in 45 seconds and is stable at 50% usage 1.7 GB memory.

The only thing I can infer is at this time that something happened to the operating system during automatic updates or some other setting has been changed.  I could use any help or suggestions you may have! Otherwise, I love this OS and have not had any problems. Thanks, Dhoffa

  • Problems with windows update, run sfc/scannow and boot into safe mode. (Vista Home Premium)

    Hi all

Please bear with me here that I try to explain all the questions I have with my computer right now. I'll try to explain everything that self-organization as possible, but if you need more information or file papers to provide a solution more precise, do it me know.

To start, I use a HP Pavilion dv6000 series (dv6748us to be exact) with Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) installed. (Service pack 2). About 6 months ago I got this laptop from what I believe was the conflicker virus (kept forwarding pages, arrested updates and antivirus programs, etc.) and I managed to get Windows Update works again. My help and Support did not work well, it only worked in Mode without failure, so I did some research and tried a bunch of suggested corrections (update the registry, etc.) and got it work yet once again. I don't know if one of the tools that I used all by setting the Help & Support could have caused problems that I now (as I literally tried everything under the Sun until I got to work), but my Windows Update does not work properly again.

A few weeks ago, I installed some updates and restarted the computer, but updates did not finish install on reboot. He said the usual "Configuring Updates, do not turn off your computer", but never showed percentage complete or whatever it is. It restarted, and when I open Windows Update, he said the last time I checked the updates has never been (obviously not true), and when I tried to check the updates, it jumped right to the message telling me I have to restart my computer to complete the installation of updates. She continues to do everytime I open Windows Update. From time to time, I try to restart it, just to see if it will work, and he never does.

I spent hours trying all the solutions I could find in Google. I tried to run system update readiness tool, which seemed to run correctly (but does not solve the problem). I then tried the difficulty it for Windows Update, and it does not solve the problem. (It might be important for me to mention that I also have problems with the difficulty It Center itself, too. Individual tools like that for Windows Update is running, but the difficulty It Center program keeps giving me the error message that "a problem is preventing the troubleshooting tool to start.") I also tried to rename the pending.xml file, and then later I deleted it, after reading in another forum that you rename the file could cause system instabillity or something like that.

Unfortunately, I can't use system restore to solve all my problems, because all my previous restore points have disappeared (I don't know if the virus wiped out them, or if the computer removed on its own) but restore points only I checked are those that have been created recently, during the time I had these problems.

I tried running sfc/scannow nothing helped, as he continues to tell me that there is a pending repair, but repair pending never ends. I tried to use the command of /revertpendingactions of dism.exe/image:C\/cleanup-image in the command prompt of recovery center to stop it pending repairs, and that has not worked because it claims that dism.exe that does not exist / is not a valid command. No matter what I try, I can't have this pending repair or my updates to complete pending.

I tried to boot mode safe several times as well and he hung up on crcdisk.sys when starting every time.

Being that I can't use sfc/scannow, System Restore, or get into Safe Mode, I'm really lost as to what I should do next. I'm honestly not sure if the problems are related, but I just thought it would make sense to list them all in one place.

Please note that I don't want to re - install Windows Vista, or don't I think I need, because the computer works very well for most. (I use it for typing this right now). I had much rather bring all the features on mine, which I believe can be achieved with the help of the right person.

If someone could provide me with suggestions/solutions, it would be greatly appreciated! Certainly, it would relieve a lot of stress for me!

DISM is a thing of Windows 7. First test the hardware.

    Standard hardware troubleshooting

First to test we can the material. Material defects can appear as many software defects, that's why we need to test the material first...

Follow these steps in order. Defects of memory can cause disk corruption, disk failures can cause corruption of the disk. Damaged disc causes corrupted files (which SFC may be able to fix). If you get a stop error and after return. Do not run chkdsk with faulty memory.

  • I have a laptop Lenovo bought in the spring of 2008 running on Vista Home Premium. After years of basically no problem, I got warnings my memory was almost full.

I have a laptop Lenovo bought in the spring of 2008 running on Vista Home Premium.  After years of basically no problem, I got warnings my memory was almost full.  I'm no computer guy, I'm a retired OTR trucker who now lives for people with disabilities.  I checked my system and found Lenovo had two partitions on the hard drive.  The main logic were my programs were only 30gig on a disk hard 150 gigabytes.

After talking to some friends who know more then me and research, I copied all my personal files on a stick to 4gig and erased the hard drive.  Spent New Years day adaptation of files, wipe the HD, install Vista again and then 6 and hours of updates.

Monday, I installed my old files, installed new software and reinstall some of my previous, as well as several updates of Windows.

Tuesday a finer adjustment and more windows updates.

Today, Wednesday, right off the bat I installed another Windows update.  Update has been installed, computer shut down, restarted, then the computer stopped at step 1 of 3 @ 97%.  I went for half an hour to come back to an error screen telling me I had a corrupted file and to reinstall Vista and using my factor disc repair system.  I wasn't allowed this option.

I subsequently through trying different restarts that File:\Windows\system32\winload.exe has been corrupted or damaged or missing Windows update attempt.  Given that I had my Windows disk that I was never worried before making a boot disk.  I/we (family of 6) do not have the financial means to purchase recovery discs, go to a tech help.  We are ourselves.  Can someone help me out here?  Are all my personal details on my laptop, a lot of money and time tied up in programs, I can't access.

I don't know how this forum works.  My email is * address email is removed from the privacy *.

    P. S.

With all this, if I have to reinstall windows I better upgrade to a 32-bit on a 64-bit?  This will cause problems with existing programs? I see a noticeable improvement in speed?  I checked and I can't change to 64-bit.

    Hello

Since you have a Lenovo, you can try to get to WinRE among advanced startup options (f8) and performa than a system restore or if you must organize a drive to install Windows Vista full version and try to perform a system restore in Windows recovery environment and check if that helps.
For more information, you can consult the following articles:

What are the system recovery options in Windows Vista?

  • Vista Home Premium lsasse.exe/o HIGH - non-stop

    This isn't a problem of malware/sasser.

The question I have is cited in hundreds of threads back on the history of Vista, and nowhere can I find an answer.  I don't work for small business tech and try to avoid VISTA, but sometimes I can't - what is a.

The specific platform is an IBM Thinkpad T61 with the original OEM Windows Vista Home Premium x 86.
I removed the bloatware and system carefully cleaned up everything, need updated drivers and VISTA is up-to-date.
One question remains, which is a rampant lsasse.exe that accumulate i/o reads and writes to the rhythm of 3 ticks/s before shutdown or restart (or sleep).
It is not uncommon to see a 50 000 or more, I / S for lsass.exe in work a short day of.
I posted this problem in some of the best forums on the web, with no good response - in fact, it seems the more 'expert' mods and members are, the faster they run away from the issue.  What is the 'dark secret' or something that the mere mention marks one as radioactive?
Should I perhaps remove/replace the program/windows/system32/lsass by a later version of Windows 7?  I noticed on my thinkpad running windows 7 Home premium the accumulated I / O for lsass.exe in everyday use is trivial - less than 10%, the number of Vista system will run even when it is idle.
    Please notify.

If I go through the misery of download and install a file 32-bit name wrar371.exe, is it unzip the files with the extension .rar on my 64-bit Vista Home Premium? I.e. it will unpack files with the .rar extension so that I can possibly run video I downloaded more than a week ago and have not yet been able to view.

Most programs designed for 32-bit version of Windows works on the version 64-bit windows. The notable exceptions are many antivirus programs.

Device drivers designed for 32-bit versions of Windows do not work on computers running a 64-bit windows. If you try to install a printer or other device that only has 32-bit drivers available, it will not properly work on a version 64-bit windows.
