System fan 90 b error

After 3 days because the computer and let me say that in three days I have not too much used, this error is out. So I tried to turn on the PC several times and even came out, after a few times the PC just started with windows loading upward logo, now, it seems that the problem is solved, but I ' m afraid this can appear at any time. Right now the PC works well, but after reading all the posts I'm starting to feel a little disappointed by this machine, what a shame, everyone thinks that HP is a good brand, but they are nothing more than a mask.

All you can hope is that the fan is blocked by dust or something. Find the fan (exhaust) and put a paper clip bent-out there to prevent the blades turn freely. Blow into the compressed air. If you are lucky it will dislodge a clog. The message means that the fan does not spin and it is stuck or bad. If it is bad, it must send in for service.

  • Pavilion g7 - 1280sb 90 b system fan error

    Hello everyone,

    2 years, I have a HP G7

A few days ago that I suddenly got the error message that the system fan did not work as it should (90 b).

When I got this message the fan was still running as usual.

I dissambled laptop and saw that there was little dust. But it is all clear now.

After that, it worked fine for a day (fan running).

Unfortunate the day where he worked, I got the error message again.

I tried a few times (3) at the start, the first and the second time that the fan is running. The third time is not turning at all.

When I try again (4) it is not turn again.

    What should I do?

(I'm sure that the fan wires are directly connected).

I saw this article http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03620929 and saw a few possibilities:

-remove the (successful) dust and he turns friendly when I try it with my finger.

-hard reset (tried but don't know it worked)

-update of the BIOS (don't know how)

And sorry for my bad English,

    Thank you

    Frédéric

It's a bad fan that needs to be replaced. You've done everything else avoid this step.

  • System fan failed error after the Swap case

Hi, I read a number of similar positions on this issue but has not managed to solve my particular problem and was hoping someone can provide additional guidance

I recently moved my HP Pavilion Slimline S5280t with a Cooler Master case, everything is OK except that I now get a 'system fan failure, press F2 to continue "message every time I start the PC.

I know for sure, it is caused by the rear 120mm fan that connects to pin 3 connector on the motherboard chassis fan (I tested it with the old 92mm fan and the error message disappeared).  So based on what I read on the forum, the simplest solution is to disable / adjust the configuration in the BIOS to monitor fan, unfortunately, this option is locked to my motherboard (IPIEL-LA3) model.  If at this point, I have 2 questions regarding what I can do next:

    1. I guess the fan sensor detects for the fan RPM so since this is a 120 mm fan, the speed of ROTATION is less than a 92 mm.  It does not reach some predefined threshold and that's why the error message I received.  So I can solve the problem by exchanging the 120mm fan which runs at a higher SPEED?

    2. I read that there is a hidden menu of BIOS with some of the HP PC, accessible by pressing F11 (or some other keys that do not appear in the original start menu), I have tried F11 and which has become a diagnostic tool, does anyone know if a hidden BIOS menu exists for my particular model? (PC model: S5280t, q8300 CPU, Mobo IPIEL-A3)

In addition, I don't think that there is an update of the BIOS for my model either... so I'm really out of options here.  Please help if anyone has any suggestions.

    Thank you!

    HW7777, welcome to the forum.

After consultation on your problem with Erico, another Member of the forum, here's what I was told:

"The three-pin connector for the fan has + (power), mass (-) and an analog tachometer signal." Given that you have tested the old fan on the system fan header and the error message disappeared, you have checked that the fan is indeed the question. You should try another fan to see if it did not have the rear case fan which is connected to the Sys_Fan?  If produce the same results, then you have reason on the down low, the origin of the problem.   If you want to keep the motherboard in the case of Coolermaster then you should consider making or buying an adapter to mount it in her 92 mm fan. Since the Coolermaster case is much larger, you should be able to mount the fan somewhere. There is a lot more air in the Coolermaster case compared to the business slimline the mobo was originally in. "You are right that there is no update available BIOS.

If your problem is solved, please click "accept as a Solution.

As I said, the fan should be a 92mm fan and the standard thickness is 25 mm. The rear case fan is a 3 son, not 4. See the diagram of the motherboard that I linked.  The fan speed must be within tolerances. Low fan speed will cause an error of automatic system.  Minimum speed must be 900 RPM.

  • Should I replace the system fan or any laptop?

For the last day, I was doing some 90 b error code when I turn on my computer. It says my system fan does not work properly and could cause problems. If I continue however, it will work for about 7 minutes, and just turn off. The left back will be really hot.

I called HP today and they will fix it for $180 & give me a 3 month warranty, but is it useful? My computer is only 2 years old. I could just replace the entire computer through my work. Should I repair or replace?

    It is a 15 "Pavilion amd8 quad-core, 8G RAM, 1 TB HD

    Moon.

Cleaning would be easier to try.

It is a G6 and you would have to completely demolish the laptop to reach the fan to replace it.

    Try clean it first.

If this does not work, you will need to decide what is best for you.

    Hi guys

Hope you can help me with what I am puzzled.

I have a compaq presario SR1719UK that I transplanted everything except a car fan and DVD in a new case.

I added a new case for the new case fan and everything is properly connected, and yet on startup, I get the attention system fan failure, he has not done this in the case of the former.

In the bios, that the temperature fits as 35 degrees with the CPU fan at about 1500 rpm, case fan display 0 RPM, even if she is running and blowing air out of the case.

    Overall, I am confused!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello sparticate, you may have installed a fan that is not compatible with the HP motherboard. Is it possible that you can replace the new fan with the original fan and see if the problem is resolved. These HP case and CPU fans have a speed sensor which tells the motherboard fan is indeed running. If the new fan has no such speed sensor drive, motherboard want to get the appropriate signal and display the error message.

  • Satellite A300D-135 - BIOS - System Configuration data read error

After starting a Satellite A300D-135 laptop computer, the following error message appears:

    3070M extended RAM passed

    ERROR
    System Configuration data read error

    Press to resume, installation

After pressing F1 the machine starts Windows, very well, but the error message is quite irritating, while it comes with a loud BEEP

I tried the following things so far (in that particular order):
    -Load BIOS default
-Flashed the BIOS with the latest version of the BIOS (2.80) for this type of model
-Reinstalled windows with HARD drive format

All the these did not work.

I saw the same message appearing on several places on the internet (on different laptops with a Phoenix BIOS in common), but so far I have not been able to find a working solution.

It might me a hardware problem, but all devices (vga, soiund, lan, wifi, usb, hdd) seem to work perfectly under Windows, so this does not seem the question). Another solution that is mentioned in some forums, replace the battery. But because the phone keeps time correctly I don't think it's the case either.

    Any ideas?

    Kind regards

    Hello

The POST (power on self-test) BIOS checks and detects errors on the motherboard.
I think it has something to do with the hardware on the motherboard problem.
I doubt that you can solve this if update of the BIOS and the BIOS default settings didn't change that.

What to say; I think that the technician of the ASP should run tests to check what's wrong or what cause this I think it is question of s mobo.

    Original title: nlsphelp.exe

Whenever I have shut down my system, I get an error box "nlsphelp.exe". What can be done to fix this?

    See you soon

The nlsphelp.exe has nothing to do with a virus.

It's the NetLib SQL Service Helper Service (not found on a general XP installation).

Now you or you already had versions of SQL Server installed on your system of unspecified of brand and model with the unspecified XP version and Service Pack?

If not, it may belong to a third-party application you have installed or it might be some something remains either of something that you have uninstalled before this incident.

If you are not sure whether you need it or not, click Start, run and enter in the box:

    services.msc

Click OK to open the Services Applet and locate the assistance of NetLib SQL Service Pack Service, right click, properties and after making a note of the current startup type, set the startup type to "Disabled", reboot, run for a while and see how things work without it.

If you find things that don't work without it running, set the startup type to what it was before and pick up another idea.

Is it your desire, you can also delete the Service completely so that you will never see it again.

  • When I try to connect my computer with XP operating system, I get this error message to: rund1132.exe and cannot log out.

    original title: log question.

When I try to connect my computer with XP operating system, I get this error message to: rund1132.exe and cannot log out.  How can I fix?

    Hi KERRYYX,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. When was the last time it was working fine?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?
    4. What is the full error message that you receive?
    5. Are you able to restart and shut down the computer?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
