SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (Usbd.sys)

I use a Samsung UltraBook 5 series running Windows 8.

After a few weeks, when I start my laptop (usually after I put it to sleep), I'd get a BSOD with the message

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (Usbd.sys).

After 2 or 3 times, I restored my laptop completely. After 2 weeks, it again. I don't know what could be the reason. But im announces a few possible things that could be the cause. Someone please tell me what to do.
Im running avast antivirus. I use a usb to LAN adapter, I use spotflux or ultrasurf (proxies). Someone please help. I don't know how to get dump files and all that. Then please ask. Thank you!
We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

WE NEED AT LEAST TWO FILES DMP TO SPOT TRENDS AND TO CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS.

If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.
If you are overclocking stop.  (chances are that if you are unsure if you are, you are not)
To allow us to help you with symptoms BSOD on your computer, download the contents of your folder "\Windows\Minidump".
The procedure:
* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another location (temporary) somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy (compress)
* Please download to a service like Skydrive or "Rapidshare" to share files and put a link to them in your answer.
Link to find out how to download below.
To ensure the minidumps are enabled:
* Click Start, in the search box, type: sysdm.cpl, press ENTER.
* On the Advanced tab, click Startup and recovery... Settings button.
* Make sure that automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the writing debugging information header, select image partial memory (256 KB) in the list box drop-down (varies from 256kb).
* Ensure to that small Dump Directory is listed as % systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.
Please also run MSinfo32 and download the output as well.
To run MSinfo32 please go to start > run > MSinfo32
Go to 'file', 'save' and download the PDF is saved with the DMP
System specs are extremely useful then please include everything you know.

Blue screen view and that crashed are often wrong and should only be used in case of emergency...

    Hi all

After the conversion of a machine Server 2012 (that is running Hyper-V) and from VMware vSphere 5.5 I get a BSOD and system_thread_exception_not_handled winhv.sys

I know that I could use to disable the Hyper-V technology, no matter what else it could be?

No, I was simply convert a machine that already had the active Hyper-V role. I disabled Hyper-V and transformed again and it started properly.

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello

    We have different various bugs:

    System_service_exception (3B)

An exception occurred during the execution of a routine that passes from non-preferred to the privileged code code.

This error is usually related to a video driver issue, however related material memory is perhaps just as well.

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)

A system thread threw an exception that the error handler did not.

Usual causes are a bug in a device driver.

We have an access violation in this discharge - c0000005. If we run a .exr on the 3rd parameter of the error checking (address record exception), we get the following:

    3: kd > .exr 0xfffff88003fb3798
    ExceptionAddress: fffff880039e7da9 (dxgmms1! VidSchiSubmitRenderCommand + 0x000000000000019d)
    ExceptionCode: c0000005 (access violation)

We can see dxgmms1.sys is mentioned, which is the driver of DirectX MMS system.

Make sure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest graphics card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the last to make sure this isn't a last number one driver. If you have already experienced with the driver of the card later and earlier versions, please try the driver beta for your card.

    MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (1A)

This indicates that an error occurred serious memory management.

    Error checking 1 a, {41201, fffff6800007c840, f970000260266847, fffffa80107f1bd0}

Parameter 1 of the bugcheck is 41201 which is part of the "other" subtype regarding this error checking. This means that an unknown memory management error has occurred.

If you have already messed up with video card driver versions, run a Memtest for no. LESS than ~ 8 going on (several hours):

    Memtest86 +:

    Download Memtest86 + here:

    http://www.memtest.org/

    Which should I download?

You can either download the ISO pre-built you want to burn to a CD and then boot from the CD, or you can download the automatic installer of the USB. What this will do is format your USB drive, make a boot device and then install the necessary files. Both do the same job, it's just you that you choose, or you have available (be it CD or USB).

    How Memtest works:

Memtest86 writes a series of test patterns for most of the addresses of memory, reads the written data and compares it to find errors.

The default pass is 9 different tests, varying in the modes of access and test data. A tenth test, bland, is selectable in the menu. He wrote all the memory with zeros, then sleeps 90 minutes before checking to see if the bits have changed (perhaps because of refresh problems). This is repeated with all those for a total time of 3 hours by pass.

Many chipsets can report RAM speed and timings by SPD (Serial Presence Detect) or EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles), and some even support changing the expected memory speed. If the expected memory speed is overclockee, Memtest86 can test that memory is free of error with these faster settings.

Some hardware is able to report the status of the "PAT" (PAT: active or PAT: disabled). This is a reference to the Intel performance acceleration technology; There may be the BIOS settings that affect this aspect of memory synchronization.

This information, if it is available for the program, can be displayed via a menu option.

Other questions, they can most likely be answered by reading this excellent guide here:

    Hi Hazzer9061,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP ENVY m6-1310sa laptop and crashing. Try perform a reset. When you perform a hard reset note remove all USB devices and remove cards memory card reader location. Disconnect all non-essential devices. If that doesn't help try to turn on the computer, on which you begin to press F11 repeatedly until the menu opens. You can do a System Restore. System restore would return the notebook in time before that happened.

Here is a link to overheatingas it may be the cause of the closure. If the laptop has dust on the fans it might be overheating graphics card. If this does not help at the end of this document it tells you to do a test equipment. The last thing you should try is tothe BIOS was updated.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

In the past, occsionally I would get that a blue screen with the message of system_thread_exception_not_handled (atikmdag.sys) and my laptop will re-start. But it is not all that often. When he did, it would be when I got several tabs open and watched a video. At this point, I looked at the error and saw in another thread, the suggestion of CCleaner, tried that myself and it seems to help.

But today it happened a little bit. I tried to run CCleaner, but it did not help this time. And now it's happening even if I have just a tab open with the video I am watching.

  • The update of Windows 10 1511 reboot loop Bootcamp BSOD ACPI. SYS

It is a copy of my thread to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/windows-10-update-1511-reboot-loop-bootcamp/8653... as I was asked to post here by the Microsoft Support Engineer.

    Hello

Friday night, I went to bed with a working machine. I had a late 2013 Mac Pro BootCamp running with a Windows 10 Pro installed, the Build version before 1511.

On Saturday morning, I woke up to my PC restart itself over and over again. It seems that Windows Update has decided to put a new version of Windows 10 on my machine without my knowledge. I discovered this after restoring an acronis backup (which took a few hours because of the number of incremental backups)

Occasionally (about 1 in 20 restarts) it would blue screen with an error:

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (ACPI.sys)

But the rest of the time he would just start, flash a window for a millisecond that says (I think) winlaunch.exe, then restart.

I tried a lot of things to sort it, including:

    (1) restore from a backup, acronis to Friday morning, running sfc/scannow, and then runs the update

    (2) the creation of a recovery USB, enter the console, change the boot to legacy method, so I can F8, then goes into all security modes and mode of illegal product, but I can find where windows 10 now puts the boot log

    (3) restored from acronis, switched to mac, created a new bootcamp drivers usb, switched to windows and run the option 'fix drivers' before performing the update.

Ntbtlog.txt is not anywhere on the partition. I ran a dir /s > a.txt then open this a.txt in Notepad and searched him.

I don't know where to go from here. I can acronis restore of a windows 10 work machine the morning before installing mandatory 1511. I don't know how to delay the update no more, I noted during a restore I had delay on updates that are why it has arisen just now.

I do not know how to find where this BSOD ACPI.sys will come (even if it happens so rarely) or this that its trying to load just before it crashes (so I can try to delete the driver etc. by the front restored windows to upgrade)

I guess the widowed causes 10 to do a restore, then the restore fails.

Overall, I get at the end of my wits with this, to go a completely Windows 10 installation work Friday to more than two wasted days, restore backups, try again, rinse and repeat. It's now Monday morning and I am posting this as a ditch last attempt to solve the problem, your help would be appreciated.

If you need more information please let me know the location of the files, etc, or their names and I will do my best to have copies available for you.

I will now restore the backup again, uninstall loading of drivers, and then try the update of windows for the 4th or 5th time.

    Thanks in advance,

    Julian

Woo Hoo, I've solved the problem!

I uninstalled the drivers of graphics from AMD (with AMD Driver Cleaner) and Arcronis True Image Home 2013 at the same time, then let Windows Update run its course. Now I have a machine with Windows Version 1511 10!

It took me 4 days of downtime...

I hope this helps someone else.

    Best regards

    Hello

The athwbx.sys belongs to the Atheros driver it seems that the installed Atheros Wlan driver isn't entirely compatible by Windows 8.1 System.
You can try remove / uninstall the driver in order to solve this problem.

If you have not created the disc of recovery in the past, then, you will not be able to recovery laptop back to the factory for Win 7 settings
I guess you will need to order the Toshiba recovery media in the event that you want to reuse the Win 7.

By the way: your laptop model was released in the United States, then you should check the page of forum and Toshiba USA support for the driver update.

By the way; Here's a similar topic forum thread:

  • FIX for usbhub.sys "NOT DIGITALLY SIGNED"

Since the last windows update, all on my new HP laptop usb ports are now dysfunctional.  Device Manager shows 'USB hub root' pilot 'usbhub.sys' of microsoft corporation is not digitally signed and therefore does not not (code 52) how microsoft may be able to find the digital signature for its own driver?  Someone knows how to fix this?

Thanks for your help.  I ended up just using the system to the factory settings restore and reset the onboard computer.  In the end, I had no sound, no usb ports were working, media files would not play and windows update might isn't even check the updates.  System files more and more appeared as "unsigned", including the 2nd driver usb (usbd.sys) who initially does not have his signature.  The system was just explosive.

It seems obvious to me that something in the directories c:\windows\system32\catroot and/or catroot2 has been altered.  What I read in other forums, it is most likely due to some kind of disturbance during the last update of windows, such as a scan of virus or something, but I really don't know what happened exactly.

The only remaining problem is now a live windows error when you try to run Halo 2 that existed before that anyway.  What I see also in other forums, there is no solution for this yet, and it's a known problem with Halo 2 and Windows 7.  I'll keep following this see if something surfaces.  Ironically, I was hoping that an update of windows could just include a fix for this.  Has not happened yet, and the last update really did not improve the system. ; P

It was very disappointing, that I could not restore the system to the point just before the update.  I don't know why it failed, but everything is working now and I did a backup fresh with this default configuration, so at least if it happens again, I should be able to bring it back to that State set up, rather than all the way back to the factory.

    Thanks again.

    Hello:

You can use the drivers for W7 to the G2 to 250 HP on your model, except the audio, graphic, BIOS and firmware files.

64-bit drivers are 32-bit driver files too.

  • Repetitive blue screens on Satellite P50-A-12Z

    Hi all

I bought my computer a month ago, and from time to time, my cell phone goes right down and restarts.

The thing is that when he does, he does 3 or even 4 times in a row. This happened 5 or 6 times since I have (so I, like the accidents of 15 to 20 a month for a brand new computer purchased 1000...)

Usually, I get these errors while playing League of Legends, but it's happened that it crashed without reason after 20 minutes of use of the base, while sometimes I can play games 3 hours online with no problems.

Here are 4 mistakes, I was able to write before its judgment:

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (WUDFRd.sys)
    DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
    DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (igdkmd64.sys)
    DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

I tried to update the video drivers, but it does not solve the problem...

    Any ideas?

    Kind regards
    Valentine G.

PS: I apologize for any mistakes, I'm not a native English speaker

    Hello

I put t think that this graphics card driver can cause the system breaks down
The errors mentioned don t look like the graphics driver would affect the system, but these are internal processes Windows system crashed for no apparent reason.

Because of this, you must set the laptop back to factory settings permanently. The best procedure to do that is to drive HARD recovery.
After the HARD drive recovery don t install all the drivers or other 3rd applications before you have tested the functionality of the laptop.

  • HP Pavilion 23: computer hangs during the boot process

Computer updates been made 2 days ago and has frozen black screen. Now does not start at the top. Starts the process and then freezes. He did start once yesterday and was going well for a few hours, then got a message saying computer had a problem.

    Error message:

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (atikmdag.sys)

Now back to not start upward again, hangs with the HP logo on the screen.

    Hi there @ldgie25.

That the Forums are with you!  I understand that, after a few updates, your computer does not start correctly and freezes on the HP logo.   I'm happy to help you with this.

Since it was started once, but then had a blue error screen, I suggest using the computers HP - use Microsoft System Restore (Windows, 10, 8).   Follow the instructions in the section «restore your computer when Windows is unable to boot normally»  See if it will start normally after the restoration. If yes then you probably want to prevent the offending update to install again.

Please see the following for how to do this:

How to temporarily prevent an update for driver reinstallation of Windows 10 - support.microsoft.com

How to uninstall and updates to block and drivers on Windows 10 - howtogeek.com

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.
