T400 will not recognize Benq monitor through my KVM TRENDnet switch

I get an error message "your computer is not connected to an external monitor" when I try to connect to my analog monitor via a KVM TrendNet 4 ports (TK409K) to my T400 switch... USB keyboard and mouse over his fine thru the KVM switch... jobs on the other ports (a NetVista and a ThinkCenter) all work are all OK and can use the monitor correctly...

My laptop prior (T41p) was also able to use the monitor through the same port of the KVM switch... only change was to replace T41p with upgrade to T400... If I ignore the KVM switch and connect the monitor directly on the T400, everything is OK.

I thought that the laptop monitor output was only outgoing, but the error message seems to indicate that there is a way to detect if something is attached to the monitor on the T400 output connector. My suspicion is that some info the T400 expected when a monitor is attached is not return through the KVM switch, but...

Ideas, advice, advice would be greatly appreciated... thx in advance.

Problem solved (well, I guess it's really a work-around)...

a cable DVI - D my laptop docking to my double-entry screen allows me to get the video signal directly and get the entrance of the kbd and mouse through the KVM switch... and my two offices continue to function through the KVM switch to the analog input of the monitor

I never knew which signal was not passed from the monitor to the laptop through the KVM switch... but the laptop did not recognize clearly that there was a monitor attached through the KVM

Windows 7 will not recognize the dvd drive, although it worked well for more than two years.  Now I can't access it to install new software.

What now? Is turn off the power, my only option?  What happens if it is not yet recognized after that?

  • Running Mac Yosemite, will not recognize "DVD bundle" in CS3 download

I currently own a copy of CS3, and I tried this two ways - using the physical disk and download from the Adobe Web site.  I get to the second part of the installation, and my computer will not recognize the "content" of the disc or the DVD "bundle".  As far as I can see, this only contains html and pdf files.  I went through all folders on this particular disc/download.  I tried hitting 'OK' to continue on my installer because I inserted the disc is pulled up on my download.  It only allows me to move.  I have included several screenshots to better understand my situation. Keep in mind, I use a clean version of Yosemite.  It's on my machine to buy.  What should I do to move forward?  Why my computer will not recognize this content as installable?

  • Windows 7 will not recognize driver for HP Scanjet 5370c scanner

I was not able to get Windows 7 to recognize the driver for my HP Scanjet scanner on my new HP Pavilion Elite a9200z desktop computer.  I tried to install the original driver delivered with the software that not only failed, but it was necessary to do a system restore to an earlier date.  After downloading the software update and the driver on the HP website (for the XP operating system. (No), the software successfully installed but Device Manager said there is no driver installed.  I tried Udating driver in Device Manager, but none were found on the system.  I'm afraid that because the driver is not signed by HP, this is perhaps the reason that the system will not recognize it.  I do not receive a message about the driver being made and has been disabled.

Where would the driver have been installed under Windows and what would be the name of the file?  Is it possible to install a driver that has not been signed on Windows 7, even though I know that it comes directly from the manufacturer.  I came on this forum that says HP email support is no longer in effect for this scanner.  Scanner was working fine under Windows XP.  Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Thank you for your response.  I posted the same question to the Board of Directors Microsoft as well.  One of the technicians gave me a link to a website that has software in support of scanners which pilots the manufacturer has not, for some reason, took worth to upgrade to Windows Vista or Windows 7.  I installed Vuescan driver bundled with the program which works perfectly, and my scanner HP Scanjet scanner 5370c is upward and great in Windows 7.  They have a list of more than 100 scanners supported by the program.  So, anyone interested should check the list before you buy the program.  No, the program is not free, but it is much cheaper ($39.95) that pitching on a scanner perfectly ideal of work and having to buy a new one.    Anyway, if anyone is interested in the possibility of using their scanner ' is no longer supported "with Windows 7, the website below might help.

I guess there is not enough power on the USB ports and external devices may not work correctly. It is not easy to say why this happens, but there may be a problem of welding.

I recommend you contact the service again as soon as possible.
