T400s model without fingerprint reader?
I want to ask questions about a particular model of line T400s - 2801-AHG. According to the information on the product (Support-> information) Lenovo Web site, it should have a fingerprint reader, but as I saw him, in one of the stores it is sold without it. Where I live (Russia) this model is called NSCAHRT, but in the back of the laptop TYPE remains 2801-AHG.
NSCAHRT means the type of specific model or group of models, or is it just an equivalent of 2801-AHG? Should have a fingerprint reader?
"Product: ThinkPad T400s 2801-AHG .
Operating system: Windows Vista
«Original description: SP9400(2.4GHz), 2 GB RAM, 250 GB 5400 RPM HD, 14.1 in. LCD 1440 x 900, Intel 4500MHD, CD-RW/DVD-RW, Intel 802.11agn wireless, Bluetooth, 1 Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, secure, smart fingerprint reader, extensible WWAN, camera, 6 c Li-ion, WinVista Home Premium»

The model I bought was named T400s 'NSCAHRT' in the shop. I want to know, are there laptops with NSCAHRT part number that are not 2801-AHG? Or NSCAHRT == 2801-AHG?
Yes, NSCHRT is simply retail part number for the type of machine 2801-AHG / model number. These two numbers being different would result in a different configuration.

I have a Microsoft (model 1033) fingerprint reader that works on XP but Win7 compatibility issue there. How I can install now, is there a solution? Please help me. Thank you.
Fingerprint reader, DigitalPersona model 1033
I can't install the driver and so unable to use "DigitalPersona Password Manager 2.0.Hi Ze,
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.
I am sorry to say that Microsoft Fingerprint Reader is not compatible with the Windows 7 operating system from the link:
http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/en-in/d/fingerprint-reader
You can install the drivers in compatibility mode and verification.
Most programs written for Windows Vista also work in this version of Windows, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. If a program written for an earlier version of Windows does not work, you can try changing the compatibility of the program settings, either manually or by using the program compatibility problems.
Make older programs run in this version of Windows:

Fingerprint reader can be attached on my T400?
Hello world
Before I bought my T400 (without a fingerprint reader), I tried one but I forgot it.
Once, I opened my laptop and I thought that I can ask for the part which includes the fingerprint reader and throw my existing touchpad...
Is someone can you please tell me if this is possible?
Thank you
Chris
Yes, you can attach a palmrest with fingerprints on your T400, as a direct replacement for the palm-rest of your current T400.

Install drivers without the software fingerprint reader?
Since my last question has been answered so quickly and so well I thought I'd try one more. Are there any drivers to install just the device without additional software, fingerprint reader that comes with it? I do not want to use the fingerprint reader, but don't want a device not recognized in Device Manager.
Thanks for any help.
1. you can extract it with winrar or 7zip setup32.exe.
2. to disable finser scan from the bios-> Security-> access e port / s-> Fingerprint reader-> disable.

I forgot my password of Windows 7. I have access to my laptop as an administrator with a fingerprint reader. I would like to cancel or change my password of Win7, but it seems I can't without knowing. Under: Control Panel, user account, change password, need allowing you to type the password before you can change or cancel it. Help! Is there any solution to this? I fear the day jumps to scan fingerprints and I'm stuck on my laptop. Thank you!
So feel free. Use your current access to create two new admin accounts & create password reset for them drives.
If you do not already have, then create a password reset disk for your user account to the daily as well. Alternatively, if it is the one that you forgot the password, create a new user and account & use the admin account to save your data.
I also write my passwords & keep waste paper in a safe place.
I suggest two admins like any profile can get damaged. If a user account profile is corrupt, you can get with an admin account to save the data. If an administrator account is corrupted so you need a spare admin account to enter to save the system.

Fingerprint reader - Windows 8 - HP Pavilion DV7 connects not
Have searched high and low for a solution to my problem to scan fingerprint - tried instructions on many site without solution.
Please help-
I have a HP DV7-6c27cl (Pavilion) - purchased 11/2012.
Updated from 8 to 64-bit Windows to purchase and fingerprint scanner quit job with TrueVision HD webcam. HP driver update for webcam works perfectly - running.
Software HP SimplePass is responsible for the current 5.20.233a (DigitalPersona) version.
East went to HP and downloaded the new driver (SP58834) for the fingerprint reader. We sought their updates using the specific model of this laptop and he gave me this driver up-to-date with. Software starts but no joy on the drive...
Simple pass still said "the fingerprint reader is not connected. "Connect to the reader."
Earlier today when trying a number of different patches I had a tap of biometrics in my device manager and another in the Panel... on one of my attempts to find a solution, I deleted these. Is gone now.
Don't know what to do from here. It doesn't seem to be any solution on the Web Digital Persona site either.
Please help and thank you.

Addition of T60 fingerprint reader
Hello
I'll buy a T60 type used 1952wev, but this model does not have a fingerprint reader. Is it possible to replace the palmrest with a built-in fingerprint reader palmrest? Will it work?
Thank you
Gellert
YES!
Standardization, expansion and interchangeability is one of the ThinkPad to differentiate the benefits.
TIP but probably not an obstacle, open the BIOS menu and look for an option of biometric reader, even without the actual hardware, the BIOS must be enabled for it. If it isn't, then compare your existing BIOS to the most recent available depending on the type of material and the machine.
I did the upgrade even you describe is because a biometric is based on was the only part, I had that lying around or has rebuild a new ThinkPad with the best parts in the tray. -
Envy 17-j130ea (F7T68EA?): fingerprint reader
I've already owned a desire to 15 (etc.), which had a fingerprint reader work (perfectly). I gave my son and bought the 17-j130ea for me. The new machine has the upper housing to the fingerprint reader, but it became obvious from the BIOS, and material check in Windows there is nothing under the read head slot. SO, can question, I buy an upgrade to give me a fingerprint reader? I can live without one, but prefers not to do so. Thanks in advance for the news or advice you can give me.
Here is the part:
To be used on computer without jumping movement capability models 720236-001
You have no movement of jump from what I can tell.
Here is the manual in its entirety:
See Page 72. All models of the series 17-j100 have the possibility to accept the fingerprint module.
But it is not easy to take it apart enough so the module can be added.
If it's 'the Answer' please click on 'Accept as Solution' to help others find it.

Dell Studio 1737 Webcam and fingerprint reader
I recently bought a refurbished Dell Studio 1737 and its big, but it did not come with thewebcam or fingerprint software installed and no disk, so, although I have
installed the latest drivers, they cannot run as there is no software. I managed to find and download Dell WebCam Manager, but then I installed the
pilots, he said that there is no device detected. I can not even find the fingerprint reader software, I understand his Digitalpersona called, but I had no record of such or
software with my laptop. Can anyone help? Thank you
Hi GSNYDER70,
I have a Dell Studio 1737 and I changed the original Palm with another fingerprint reader without a provided, naturally original Dell. When I downloaded the driver Dell Web site package that I surprised... There are only drivers, but not the software! The original software provided with the computer laptop Studio 1737 is Digital Persona of Digital Persona Inc. I asked a question to Dell technical support, but no response because I am out of warranty. On the site Web of Digital Persona, I found a software that can work with the fingerprint Authentec AES2810 reader model but you have to pay for it. Quality on the web I found another user of Dell which solved the problem: you can download the Digital Persona version 4.10.3790 of the HP Web site software! Here is the link:
I installed it and now have the fingerprint reader work perfectly. If you have any further questions please ask me. Best regards.

Fingerprint reader not working not
HI, I just recently to upgread my laptop operating system from windows 7 to Windows 8.
Everything works well except for my fingerprint reader, his work not at all.
I had downloaded and installed all the drivers from the Web site below, but it still does not.
Can you help me solve this problem?
Product name: HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC
Product number: A3V80PA #UUF
Current OS: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit
Press the Windows key + X and select Device Manager. Under biometrics, fingerprint reader not appear without one? or one! icon next to him?
You mentioned that you have installed the driver. Did you also install the program SimplePass found on the link below? I saw a version of Windows 8 for the unit, but the version of Windows 7 can work. If the version of Windows 7 does not work, try right-clicking on the SimplePass program and select troubleshoot compatibility mode to see if it gets it to work.

Fingerprint reader has stopped working after update vV1.0.3.49
I recently downloaded from Toshiba and installed Fingerprint Utility V1.0.3.49 (tc00407400c.exe) and since my fingerprint reader has stopped working.
The software opens but usually recognizes my fingerprints and can not connect any other way.Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and same result.
Device Manager says device works ok.
May I ask what model phone you have and what system do you use?
Probably, you need to delete stored fingerprints and after restarting again, you should try to register new fingerprints using the software update of fingerprints.
Have you tried that?
