Let us dig a little.

Cheers.

edit: please take a look at this: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=migr-4gxpeg

same driver in the matrix t420 at this link: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS014939

don't know why it is absent for the t400 and t410 matrices although they are all listed as the systems supported.

    Hello

    > On the other hand there is a notice from Windows telling me that there is an unknown USB device (Port_ #0001.Hub_ #0002) which I suppose is the camera

Yes, it could be the internal webcam.
Seems that the driver has not been installed correctly.
What to say; first remove the old webcam software from the system.
Then clean the operating system using a tool like CCLeaner, for example.
After that, go into Device Manager and remove the unknown device.
    Restart the unit.
Reinstall the webcam software and check if the device has been recognized again.

  • Satellite Pro A100 (PSAAC) - freezing for a second unknown device

    Hello

I have recently reinstalled Windows on my computer, after installation, is a problem. With an interval of 10-15, my computer hangs at about a second - the computer reacts to the entry, and if a sound is played he repeats again and again.

I don't know if it has something to do with it, but when I start the computer I get the error message "cannot read the Manager!" I noticed that I have a unknown device in my device manager, location: location 65535 (internal Bus High Definition Audio). I can't find the driver.

I don't know if the problems are related, I just want the freezing part to fix.

    Best wishes

  • Satellite Pro L670 - 18F PSK3FE Webcam works become "unknown device".

The * webcam * on my * Satellite Pro L670 - 18F PSK3FE * who is running * Windows 7 64 - Bit * a well worked until this week. My notifications bar started to say * "unknown USB device" * and when when I went to use the webcam it no longer worked.

When I disabled the webcam in the BIOS the notification has stopped, but when I turned it on the notification came back again to the top. The unknown device is clearly the webcam.

I updated my BIOS and tried the system restore.

I also downloaded the driver for the webcam of http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK and have tried running that - + but it NEVER seems to complete the installation. + I have will continue to try to reload the driver and see if that helps, but from now on, I do not think that the pilot will help.

If it is just a driver problem, someone could suggest how to get the driver to install really :-(

I am now at a loss. I'm not sure what to do now. Suggestions?... + Please! +

    Hello

Unknown device means that the driver is not installed.
I think that the installation of the webcam driver should fix it.

As face recognition also use the webcam, I recommend you to uninstall this tool as well as the older version of the software of the webcam.
Both (or just face recognition) should appear in Control Panel-> software

Now download both applications to the driver page.
Start with the installation of the webcam driver:
    (1) unpack the webcam driver package

    (2) the TC30049700N.exe may also be decompressed (right click-> extract here)

    (3) now you should see different files exe, dll, and others attempt to run setup.exe to start the installation. If this does not work, go to Device Manager, mark (webcam) unknown USB device and install the driver pointing to the folder that contains the files of webcam driver. The system should automatically recover dll files.

    (4) restart the laptop and follow with face recognition software.

    Good luck

  • Tecra S2: HDD as unknown device on two of the three USB ports

    Hey again,
I thought then that I was here anyway I could ask this too.
The tecra S2 has 3 USB ports, they all work very well for my USB mouse and other small things like the wacom tablet...
But when I plug my external hard drive in two of them, it says that it is an unknown device...

    I think, but am not sure, that this might have something to do with something once, we had to do in school;
We had once set up a pilot for a small converted Converter a series (or parallel, cant he recall) cable to the usb port
(I have already uninstalled the drivers but nothing has changed)

    It's just a guess...

any idea on how to solve this little problem? : p

    Hello

You said external USB HDD appears as an unknown device on two of the three USB ports.
What appears if you connect the HARD drive to the USB port on third?
It appears as an unknown device or what?

The device usually appears as an unknown device in device because manager not installed device drivers.
I check the HARD disk for the drivers and try to install it again.

  • Tecra 9100: No sound and unknown device

I have the laptop above and have recently flattened and reinstalled Windows XP pro. I have no sound, I have a speaker in my sys tray, Device Manager detects the card Intel (r) 82801 CA/Cam AC'97 Audio Controller, after I installed the RealTek AC 97 drivers. I plugged in the headphones to make sure that this is not not the speakers who have blown. But still no sound. All volumes are turned upward and the volume on the front wheel is set in the middle. In sounds and audio in the Control Panel, all volumes are increasing and the speakers are set to portable stereo speakers.

I have a unknown devices in Device Manager States location is a system compatible ACPI Microsoft from what I see on Google it's something to do with the battery. Once again any ideas?

    Thank you

I know that your laptop. It s a Tecra 9100 and this laptop supports a Yamaha YMF753 - stereo 16-bit Sound Blaster Pro compatible sound card.

The problem is the XP SP1 or SP2. The audio driver of Yamaha does not support SP1.
Seems that you need to update the audio driver.

  • Device Manager - unknown device + Hig Defintion Audio Device (Point of Exclamation)

    Hello

I hope that someone can help you. The hard drive on my laptop of HP ENVY TS 15 (product number: E3S19UA #ABA) out crapped and I reinstalled Windows Enterprise 8.1. I downloaded and installed all the drivers from the HP website. When I look at the Panel, I have an "unknown device" and in the audio, video and game controllers, I have an exclamation mark next to the high definition Audio Device.

I installed the HP Support Assistant and let it do its thing. That has not fixed the problem. When I look at the properties for the unknown device, I see the following in detail: "ACPI\HPQ6007\3 & 11583659 & 0" regarding high definition Audio, I see the following in the general tab:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation failed}
    The requested operation failed.

When I try to update the driver software fo the High Definition Audio, I get a message that "Windows has determined the software driver for your device is up to date.

Don't know where to go from here. Any help or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    -Val

    You are the very welcome.

This is defininitely the driver you need and you need to install it manually.

    Run the driver again.

Go to Device Manager and click on the unknown device needing driver.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select Browse my computer for driver software, and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the driver.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp66078.  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

If this does not work, then back to her browse my computer for driver software window and then select Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer option, then select Have Disk and browse to: C:\SWSetup\sp66078\InstallFiles\Win8_1\accelerometer and select the HP Mobile Data Protection sensor from the list and see if the pilot goes like this.

The HD audio device is the audio device Intel HDMI which could not install when you ran the graphics driver, so run it again and if it does not install, manually install the driver using the same procedure that I posted to the 3D driveguard.

If it doesn't, then I remove the driver and tell you where to get the driver from, as I did for the above device.

  • T420s Windows 8 Unknown device

I installed Windows 8 x 64 recently and installed all the drivers. I was pretty sure that all devices have been installed.

I had a problem of power management of hardware before installing Windows 8 I was hoping was a software problem that reinstalling the OS would be in trouble. Turns out was not software, he had the main Board replaced under warranty. Even after the replacement of the main map, I was still enough course that I have seen that all device drivers have been installed in the Device Manager.

But today, I notice an "unknown device" listed that does not have a driver installed. I often know it can be the TPM module or any other system device, but I have the TPM installed the chipset software driver and management authority. But there's always that unknown device.

The only clue I have, as to what might be the device is under details, the "Hardware ID" property value is "root\sscbfs_storlib_bus3". A Google search brings nothing to this string. 'STORLIB' shows like it has something to do with storage, but I have the Intel RST driver (11,7 Intel) as well as to install the card reader driver. I can confirm that the card reader works fine too.

What else could be this unknown device?

I never understand what it is. But I uninstalled (not sure how you can uninstall it when it is not already installed) and it showed no upward again.

  • found new hardware wizard appears and unknown device device Watch Manager

Since a few days ago, the Add New Hardware Wizard keeps popping up. I looked in Device Manager and found an unknown device (yellow exclamation mark) should I delete the device? I don't know what to do to identify which device is unknown.

If you remove it, then he'll probably be back the next time that you start.

go to start / all programs/windows update (at the top of the list of the menu), custom search, watch your optional hardware updates and search for a driver that you have not already installed, you can get lucky. Otherwise post the details of your specifications and ask again.

Furthermore, it can take a while to get the pages updated and you may need to install active x on the way, a line will appear at the bottom of the fixed part of your browser screen (the same as when you download) If this is the case, click on it and install active x, then a box should appear and tell you allow I think.

  • "Unknown device" in my device manager - but the system ready to use?

    Hi everyone, it's me again.

I have just bought (and already exchanged for a second) a device that I want to install on my desktop. This is a Hiyatek Multi multi-function which is mainly for media card reader options provided. There is also a USB 2.0 port, fan controller, taken mic and speaker jack ports as well as the different media slots. The device is supported by Win XP

I have the same problem persisted with this device (which I connected to the only place where I can find for the USB cables) which shows as "Unknown device" in my equipment manager. The statement indicates that Microsoft software should automatically detect the device and install the drivers for me however, the bubbles of pop-up information "Found New hardware" followed by "Unknown device" followed of "your device installed and ready to use" HUH! How can it make sense please...

Peripheral installation mini disk that came with the camera auto works when it is inserted, but this process is stopped because the device was not recognized.

On the motherboard to point plugin, I did reference has been used to connect my 2 front mounted USB 1.0 ports (which have now been removed) and the connector for that was a plug of white pine of 10 or 12. The new tracks to the device, I am trying to install are 4pin sheets I've located in the same orientation as the big white connector. There are some images here...

    http://i812.Photobucket.com/albums/zz48/Vanguard_01/HiyatekUSBcables2.PNG

    http://i812.Photobucket.com/albums/zz48/Vanguard_01/HiyatekUSBcables1.PNG

    http://i812.Photobucket.com/albums/zz48/Vanguard_01/Managerdisplay.PNG

As a result, the only things that work on the new Panel are the speed controller and the speaker port.

Also today I installed a PCI card with USB 2.0 with 3 other additional ports on the front of my machine but there is no extra connection on the card (for these 2 4 sheets, I mentioned earlier), which appear to be installed correctly from the 3rd link image above.

I need to know if I connect it correctly or do I need to get some software from somewhere.

    Thank you

    Vanguard_1

The answer was there in front of me!

I got a response from Hiyatek who pointed out that cable sequence was not the same on the new sheets for my device even if they had stipulated it also on the box that it was compatible with USB 1.0 to the motherboard connections. The Green and white wires were knocked down in fact (this can be seen in the pictures). I now spliced the old Plug and the wires on the wiring of new device and it works.

I was however not aware that there are differences in the wiring of the plug between the connections USB - is - this current?

    Hello j_waver0000,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

I would like more information on what brand and model of mouse you are using?  I know that you listed Trackball, but I show several manufacturers using the name of trackball, including Microsoft.

Have you informed you have uninstalled the mouse drivers, have you done this in Device Manager?   "Click Start-> type Device Manager" in the search field-> select Device Manager-> select mice and other pointing devices-> with the right button of your device, and then select update.

If the device is already updated and then right-click and select "Uninstall".  You may be prompted to restart, otherwise right click again on your device and select "install".

If you have a Microsoft Mouse, please visit this link for additional information.  Please let us know status.  Thank you!
