T410s disconnection/reconnection

Hi, I have a relatively new T410s that was working very well, until recently. A few nights ago I noticed that my Wi - Fi kept disconnect and then reconnect without reason. Can someone tell me in layman's terms what is the problem and how to fix it? Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Try this,-> throw ThinkVantage Power Manager-> switch to advanced mode click Advanced-> made settings scroll down and the value 'Maximum Performance' in 'The wireless adapter settings'-> press OK then exit. See this:- http://img824.imageshack.us/slideshow/webplayer.php?id=lenovo1.png

In addition, go to the Device Manager, select your wifi card-> go to the properties-> and put "Transmit power" up and "Roaming aggressiveness" to "high". See this:- http://i52.tinypic.com/w02v0l.jpg

Let us know if that helps.

  • 1390 WLAN - connects but disconnects / reconnects frequently

I have an Inspiron 9400 that I got from a friend, and there the 1390 WLAN card.  I downloaded drivers [1390] Dell and have no problem to connect to my network (any level of security, is released not not, list of exclusive MAC, etc.).

However, I can't get anywhere near my full bandwidth speed.  I have a 15 Mbps per connection, and I have the clock at least 1 Mbit with all tests.  It is quite frustrating.  I played with the settings in the software provided with the driver, but nothing helped.

To try to find an alternative solution, I thought I would try the other driver on the page driver drivers Inspiron 9400 - applies for the wireless 1500 and "_Wireless (US) WLAN card.  I am able to connect with it, and more to reach near my full bandwidth speed.  A problem with this driver is my connection disconnects / reconnects instantly, and in this case every two or three minutes.

I have several other wireless devices (PDA, laptop, etc.) who have NO problem using my wireless access point.  Friends come and use my TI with no problems.  This laptop just wants to act up for some reason any.

I tried to play with all the settings in the driver software, but nothing helped.  I do not see why he did this; I did extensive research on Google, as well as research here and came up empty.  I need to get working as soon as POSSIBLE for this laptop's wireless and played with him for days now.  I write here as a last resort and hope someone can help me.  After all my research, I was unable to find anyone who has this problem.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I appreciate any input on the matter.

  • External hard drive USB PX1223E - 1 32 guard disconnection/reconnection

    Hello

I'm new to this forum, so I hope I'm posting in the right place.

The external hard drive works fine for over 2 years now, but it has started to randomly disconnect from my PC. I have the USB to say alert that it has disconnected and then moments later it seems to reconnect with the usual USB alert. Occasions, it seems to work for hours without the problem return.

It is a sign that the reader reaches the end of his life?

    Thanks for your help

    Hello

Perhaps the reader reaches the end of the life, but at the moment it is not easy to say...

Have you tried another cable to the HARD drive? Maybe it's just a problem of cable s.
In addition, you should check the HARD drive on another computer or laptop. So you can make sure if it s a USB issue or not.

  • MacBook Pro won't feed - need to disconnect/reconnect the battery.

I have a 'early 2011' MacBook Pro 17 "which does not illuminate when the power switch is pressed.    He worked normally in the last time it was used.

I'm a PC I / specialist t so I did some fault finding.  Here are the results and measures, I tried:

    1. Power button and no indication button has been pressed.
    2. Button on the side and he said fully charged battery.
    3. Adapter a/c and LED power connector attached LED lights up in green as it is supported.
    4. You press the power button - still no indication of any attempt to power on.
    5. Let Reset SMC pressing SHIFT, control, Option, and power switch.  All released.   You press the power button - still no indication of any attempt to power on.
    6. Power button which is held down for 15 seconds, released, then no hurry once - no change.
    7. Disconnected a/c power.
    8. Removed the back cover.
    9. Battery disconnected from the system board connector.
    10. Connected a/c adapter and power button pressed - no change.
    11. Disconnected the a/c adapter.
    12. Back in the connected battery system board connector.
    13. Joint a/c adapter and the system performed a reset, then IPL upward and ran normally.
    14. System "Shut down" and then press the power button - would not be back.
    15. Removed the a/c adapter and pressed the power button - still wouldn't back off.
    16. Disconnected a/c adapter, disconnected the battery, battery reconnected to the system board.  Power button - will not turn on.
    17. Repeat the procedure which worked previously - a/c offline, disconnected battery system board, connected a/c, press button power (no signs of activity), disconnected a/c, battery reconnected to the governing body of the system, reconnected a/c and it reset and power!
    18. Let system and then "reset" (instead of closing) - it restarts correctly.
    19. Shut down the system and then I tried to power - will not turn on.
    20. Bottom line: it seems that the procedure which will get the system starts, after it is closed: disconnected a/c, disconnecting the battery system board, connected a/c, press power button (no signs of activity), disconnected a/c, reconnected battery to the system board, reconnected a/c and it resets and starts.

OK, so you MacBook Pro experts out there... what seems to be the problem and what measures would you recommend I take?

  • Have to disconnect/reconnect to the router

I have a clear-cut problem: occasionally, about once a day or two, suddenly I can't load a web page. I can always solve it to disconnect and reconnect to the network, even if it shows me as connected (with five bars).

Based on the other computers in the House, I concluded that the router sometimes has a little problem. It shuts off and then on again. Reconnect automatically other computers (ASUS victory 8 machine and my Nexus 7), but mine does not.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  • Computer constantly disconnects / reconnect to the wireless network

original title: vista renamed wirelessnetwork House and now computer laptop will constantly disconnect and then reconnect a few more seconds later

Every since rename home network wireless computer laptop under vista constantly disconnects and reconnects to the network.

    Hi, Camstaylor,

    1. it's not your router, but it comes to your network

    2. the network card to the same place is shown router because you go out through a router

    3. to change the network name 2 for what you want, open Network Center and simply click on the icon/image(for home network it is picture of house) left on the network name and the name of the new type

You can then safely delete the old unused network

  • Random disconnects / reconnects WRT400N

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and answer my question (I hope).  That being said, I have a WRT400N wireless router that connects to the cable modem that we use for the internet.  This router connects to one computer and another router, which is another linksys, former model (EZXS88W), and who connects to a console Xbox 360, a laptop and a Wireless (Belkin) hub.  Today, I have experienced quick disconnects and reconnects not only on the laptop, but the Office upstairs is as well.  Disconnections are short and probably unnoticeable to the average user, but I play a game that requires constant access, and the xbox 360 fact as well for multiplayer.  I have determined, that it couldn't be my wireless belkin hub or my old linksys, since my real connection is not lost when it is on the laptop, then it had to be the modem from the isp or the WRT400N.  I gave to my ISP a call, and they did a diagnostic and reset on the modem, so everything should be good.  True that, everything WAS fine, for about an hour.  It disconnected after a bit of time, but I looked fast enough to see the 400N was literally stopping and restarting.  The last disconnection occurred 16 minutes ago, and I see if there are any timed sequence to disconnect her.  They are less common now than they were before, but it's really a concern towards the work and play games and if anyone of you has an answer to what to do, or have seen this before and know a solution you will have my gratitude.  I have put my explanation for easier understanding.

Long story shortened: WRT400N connects to a desktop computer and another router EZXS88W. This router connects to a wireless belkin hub, an Xbox 360 and a laptop computer.  Ago intermittent disconnects followed by a reconnection is more than 2 minutes later. It cannot be the wireless hub or the old router, because there is no literal disconnect, as well as the office is affected as well.  To add to evidence that the 400N is the culprit, I have seen it perform a restart.

Again, thank you for your time.  I will be waiting for responses.

I could solve the problem.  It turned to be a program on one of the computers had not closed properly and has been hogging bandwidth.  Thanks for your help, however!

  • Brief disconnection/reconnection of the startup disk boot failure causes

    Hello

My system: Windows 7 ultimate, ASUS MB, 24 G of Ram, Intel i7 3950
Boot OCZ SSD 512 G drive
    WDC 2T SATA HD X 2

I need the serial number of the SSD drive boot, so I stopped the machine, pulled the plug of the power, disconnected the SATA cable and the power cable and removed the SSD to the Bay, has copied serial number, put the power back in place, plugged back in and started the system.

It took a while, and then I got the Windows splash screen, then a BSOD.

A restart attempt led to the repair of Windows program. He could not fix it. When it is restarted, the problem details include 'CorruptRegistry' and 'AutoFailover.

Looks like I'll have to restore from an image on one of the SATA drives. Should be OK.

But I'm curious (and a little angry) on why this simple action would lead to this?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

(I'm obviously the announcement of another system!)

  • Pendrive keep connection / disconnection

    Hello

    I recently bought a computer Satellite L655D - 12 p and I have a Sony USB (USM8GL).

The problem is that my key connects to the PC, then disconnects, reconnects etc... and continue to do the same indefinitely every 5 seconds.

I don't understand why the 2 media do not work properly. They seem to work well independently:

-My USB (USM8GL) work well on XP, Vista and 7 other than mine
-My sister have the same model of USB (USM8GL) and it's the same question. Good for XP, Vista and 7 other than mine.
-J' have another key (Sony Microvault 4 GB) which works well on my PC (and others of course).

It seems that something is wrong. Maybe a program that is not activated.
I of course looked a bit on the internet but I have not found anything.

Once, I managed to work the two media. I managed to change the key letter in the 'computer' (:--> H L: for example). I had to do it very quickly because the key prevents the connection and deconnecting every 5 seconds.
But I do not know why it stopped working after about 10 tries.

Then, of course, I would like you help me. What can I do to fix this? It's really annoying...

    Thank you

In my view it is not that you can do about it. Either it works or not.
Always is it that there is no special driver you need for this.

Try to connect other USB keys for testing. Check it with SanDisK. It is the best and highest quality product. I'm 100% sure it will work properly.

By the way: does the same thing happen on all USB ports?

  • Win 7 USB connection problem disconnect/connect Cycl

Is anyone else having problems with their Droid Turbo and a Win7 PC connection? I got my first camera at the end of November. When I initially plugged on my PC, the AutoPlay of Windows kept popping up window and the device would be cycle as if it had been disconnected. The AutoPlay window closes never alone, and I need to close from a few to several 10s of windows (based on how long I left it plugged in).

I was able to get a stable connection after installing the Motorola Device Manager software.

After a problem without report, Verizon has replaced the original phone with a new phone. The new phone is the same cycle of disconnection/reconnection anytime it is plugged. Software Motorola device Managger says that the software is up to date.

I connected the phone to a Linux computer and had no problem copying files back. The connection is remained established until I got the USB cable.

I rebooted the phone and the PC several times that I care to count.

Also has anyone seen this problem? More importanly, does anyone have a solution?

My phone (in MTP mode, without debugging) shows that the VIDID 22 b 8: 2ea4. On several occasions, I saw the PID also be 2ea5 and 2ea8. (Maybe it's with debugging on, perhaps a PTP mode).

A few times, the device is presented as "Unknown device" with no details in the Device Manager.

I plugged the phone in each USB port on the computer.

If I knew that the files to remove from Windows to replace the driver I'd do it. If I knew that the right driver I tell Windows to use. So far I have not found one that works.

    Thank you

    James

James best would be to connect the device in MTP, USB OFF debug mode. In Device Manager, locate the device and click on uninstall. At the prompt to uninstall to make sure that you CHECK DELETE the driver software. Uninstall device of motorcycle, bike mobility Manager drivers and nothing of another "bike Mobility" brand. I use a disc cleaner (ccleaner) delete left over remnants of uninstalled product files. I first do a system cache/clean and repeat several times until the cache gets up, nothing to remove. After that it's over, I run the registry cleaner. After scanning, select "Questions of difficulty" to the quick click reg backup YES, choose a SAFE place 'FIX ALL '. Once done, repeat until there are no more problems found. After all this is finished, STOP, do not restart. Computer to start up, run CCleaner again just to make sure everything is clean, so before you plug in your phone, go to and install Motorola Device Manager/USB Drivers. Let the full install and reboot. In developer options, revoke the authorization of debugging. Connect the phone in MTP mode to the PC and let Win7 to install the drivers. Change the connection of the device to PTP repeat, then finally change device USB debugging and let windows install the drivers. Let us know if this helped or hurt.

  • virtual serial port (offered by a USB device) may not be reopened once the device has been lost and reconnected

To connect to a virtual serial port offered by a USB device.
-Physically disconnect the device (disappears from the entry in Device Manager)
-Reconnect the device. (It reappears in the Manager of input devices)
    -Close the file handle
-Reopen the virtual serial port. --> the CreateFile() call always fails with "ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND".
-After dis - / reconnect the USB device once, the serial port can be reopened

Even the true return of GetDefaultCommConfig there yet in CreateFile().

It is clearly bad habits, because in our case the disconnection/reconnection occurs due to a restart of the device; and it's quite embarrassing to explain buyer for the disconnect/reconnect the device.

Is there another workaround solution to clean the window's internal data structures or show me how to open the port?

  • SE connect/disconnect Internet using a command prompt

    original title: to connect/disconnect Internet

Is it possible to disconnect & reconnect my internet connection of cable to a command line in Windows XP?

    Hey John,

I don't know if there is a way to disable the internet connection to the modem or the router by command-line in windows. There is probably a way to disable the network adapter on the local computer through command line, but myself I do not know what commands to use.
I know, however, that if you drop your IP address, your connection will be terminated. You can do it in the command line by using the command "ipconfig/release" without the quotes. This will minimize your IP address causing your connection down.
You can bring it to the top by renewing your IP address. This can be done in the command line by using the command "ipconfig / renew" again without the quotes.
Note * I believe that you must be a system administrator to run these commands.
Now, I'm sure that's not the best way to do it, but it will certainly do the job.
    I hope this helps.

  • Just installed MS Security essentials and I'm getting a repeat look like I just disconnected a perephrial device. "DA-DA da da."

The title says it all. I tried disconecting all my USB connected devices and it still makes noise. I don't have an idea of what connects and disconecting. An update: use CPU/task manager / when I hear the .wav connect my CPU usage goes up to 19%/when I hear the .wav disconnection it comes down to 1%. I went to the event viewer and looked at the system logs to see if something jumped out of home but there is so much information in there I found myself just looking at random with no response. I'm running Vista 64 with a intel i7 920. I've updated my chipset graphic driver/pilot and uninstalled/reinstalled MSSE. Still hear the disconnection reconnection .wav, happening every 15 seconds or so, even when all of my USB devices are disconnected. Vista is updated as well.

Day two: I've updated everything. Now the ba-bonk noise can't randomly. Whenever I close a window, for example. I think it's a problem of windows Explorer. Guru of the rainforest

So I'm busy and did not do a good job of troubleshooting of what exactly the fixed proccedure. It's there were three or four shots from me then to a re start and the noise stopped. So I'm not sure exactly at what stage did. Thank you very much for your support and your skills.

Just a note of humility to me... The noise ceased, but the device plugged into the wave began to activate whenever I closed a window. What the hell I said. Train repeatedly closing and on the files of two waves (this kind of made me mad, I know I know just turn down the volume.) I must have inadvertently selected the sound bustled when I closed a window. Scrolling mouse operator error.
