You need an OS to see all of the RAM on approximately 3.5 GB 64-bit
Like windows XP 64, Vista 64 or 64 7.

Satellite L300-1AF: Vista see only 2.9 GB RAM
I just stuck 4 MB of RAM in my L300 and seem to have some weird settings now.
I know that Vista 32 bit will treat more than 3.2 MB of RAM, but my system is showing 2940 instead of 3.2.
The GMA4500 shipped is showing that using 1341.Is this normal, or is there a way to get the laptop to use full 3.2 and only to allocate the rest of the graphics card.
See you soon.

Why doesn't my XP 32 OS full Bank 4 GB of RAM, DESA BIOS?All versions of Windows 32-bit client (XP/Vista/7 not only) have a 4GB
address space (64-bit versions can use much more). It's the
theoretical upper limit beyond which you cannot go.
But you can't use the whole address space. Even if you have a
Address space of 4 GB, you can only use around 3. 1 GB of RAM. It's
because some of the space is used by the hardware and is not available for
operating system and applications. The amount you can use varies, depending on what hardware you have installed, but can
range from as little as 2 GB to 3.5 GB. It's usually around
3. 1 GB.
Note that the hardware is using the space, not the real address
The RAM itself. If you have a larger amount of RAM, the rest of the RAM
goes unused because there is no address to map space to Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP -
Satellite A200-130: Upgrade the RAM to 4 GB but Vista 32bits see only 3.1 GB
I just bought my laptop Satellite A200-130 memory 2 * 2 GB and trendy bars, but if I see the size of the total as memory is 4096 MB, on Windows Vista Home Edition (32 bit), in the BIOS, I can see only 3.1 GB.
I checked on the Toshiba site and it states that the laptop can take up to 4096 MB, so can any please tell me how to fix this problem?
Why 3. 1 GB shows, instead of 4 GB?
Have you read or heard something about 32-bit limitation of Windows?
Isn't it?
Well, I advise to use google and search for it.
It turns out that all 32-bit Windows operating systems can see only 3 GB of RAMIn addition, you can find some details in the Microsoft Knowledge base.

Upgrade memory satellite A110-103 - the Bios shows only 1 GB of RAM
{color: #000000} Dear Forum Toshiba,
I own a Toshiba Satellite A110-103 (PSABE6) bought in 2006 of the Belgium.
I have trouble about an upgrade of RAM for this laptop. The laptop was originally a Samsung 512 MB of RAM.
I tried to upgrade the RAM to its maximum capaity supported 2 GB.
I bought and installed 2 Kingstone SODIMM 1 GB Value Ram DDR2 PC2 4300 units compatible with the laptop, butin the BIOS, I see only 1 GB of RAM.
I tested each RAM separately and they work very well. The problem is that when I install in mylocations of the laptop, my BIOS sees no Ram.Instead 2 GB 2 GB, it shows only 1 GB. I updated my BIOS for more later
version 1.70 (for XP), but the laptop continues to show only 1 GB.
I tested the RAM separately:
-inserted only 1 stick in the drive and the pc started ok showing 1 GB of RAM
-then I inserted the same stick in another location and it also worked well showing 1 GB of RAM
- then I checked another unit of the RAM in the same way and worked well
-When I try to put 1 GB of Ram and the old 512 MB RAm the BIOS correctly showed the new value of 1.5 GB
-i also checked the other 1 GB of ram and the old 512 MB of ram and showed good again in the Bios with the value of 1.5 GB
- but when I tried to put the 2 ram set units to obtain the BIOS only detected 1 GB 2 GB.Here's the description detailed 1 GB modules that I try to install:

Help, please!It IS concerning.

I think the problem is that the two s of RAM are not compatible, but it is not explained to me because use you two identical modules.
In your case I return the RAM to the computer dealer and say the modules work together in your notebook, but your laptop definitely supports 2 GB of RAM.
I think that there is no other way because you have updated your BIOS to the latest version.
Here is the part number for RAM Toshiba compatible:

I just upgraded my laptop from 2 GB to 4 GB of RAM, * but cannot access the 3 GB *.
I checked all the documents, and he indicates that the laptop should be expandable to 4 GB of RAM.Oddly enough, the site of [mytoshiba.com.au | http://mytoshiba.com.au] does not list my exact model under "abandoned" (as if it never existed!). + Single channel with 1 SO-DIMM (up to 1 GB) and down (up to 1 GB) of memory.
+ Support for DDR2 400 MHz and 533 MHz +.As you can see, the Chipset Mobile Intel 945 Express charge max 2 GB of RAM. This means that 4 GB of RAM would not be taken in charge and this is perhaps the reason why only 3 GB of RAM are visible

Satellite A200-1hv - 4 GB of RAM but system see only 3.1 GB
Hello
I have the problem. recently, I bought 4 GB of RAM for my Satellite A200-1hv but system see only 3.1 GB.
And yes I have tested also on 64-bit vista 64 and Linux 64 systems. In both cases, it shows only 3.1 GB.Also when I boot my laptop on the BIOS POST screen it test only 3.1 GB of RAM memory not 4 GB.
The funny is that when I enter in the BIOS setup, and then in the main settings tab, it shows 4GB.Why?
In the specification, it is written that this laptop supports 4 GB of RAM, but it is NOT!BR
LMANHave you tried to update the BIOS?
Please do!Check if you are using the latest version, and if not then update the BIOS to the State.

Satellite A100-62 of the bios, you see only not 4GiG ram?
Hello
So before I bought and placed 4GiG ram in my satellite I looked on the site of toshiba connected and so on... found my cell phone and I noticed Max ram is 4096 M, great, I thought, off I went and got 4GiG ram and installed 2 giga both to make sure that the ram is not defective "", then when the two sticks has been tested and bios and windows that I have placed both at the same time that windows has "known issue" you see don't not 4GiG ram which is OK by me, I guess, but then I noticed that the bios of the laptop sees 3063 Mb which is * very strang me! *
When I called toshiba, they said yes, you'll still 4GiG of RAM, but what confused me is if I installed then bios should also show the fact that theres 4gig 4gig?
can anyone tell me please what continues
Thank you
Hello

Windows says 6 GB usable only 4 GB of ram
My bios says I have 6 GB of Ram installed and when I checked my ram under windows he says 6 GB usable I use windows 7 Home premium 64-bit only 4 GB of ram. Is there a setting to make it work with 6 GB of ram
Hi Keefy1,On a computer that is running a 64-bit Windows 7 version, usable memory may be less than the installed memory (RAM).
This is expected behavior on computers that are running Windows 7. The reduction in available system memory depends on the configuration of the following:
1. the devices that are installed in the computer and on the memory reserved by these devices
2. the ability of the motherboard to manage memory
3. the BIOS version and settings
4. other system settingsTo see how it is allocated the memory installed in Windows 7, follow these steps:
1. click on start, type in the box resource monitor search programs and files, and then click Resource Monitor in the list programs.
2. click on the memory tab and then view the physical memory section on the bottom of the page. There are several additional situations that could cause the usable RAM is less than expected. These issues and possible solutions are listed in this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978610I hope this helps.Kind regards

Windows XP VM recognises only 3 GB of RAM when administered 4GB
I'm having a problem with Windows XP, recognizing only 3 GB of RAM. 32-bit XP has a max of 4 GB RAM configuration (and cannot be extended with EAP that some other versions can). The virtual machine in VMware is configured with 4 GB of RAM. However, I can't get the OS to see more than 3 GB. I had a similar problem with a Linux VM, which in this case has been resolved by installing the EAP. The strange thing in both cases, is that even if the limit is 4 GB, if I set the RAM to the virtual machine at 3.5, 3.8 or 3.9 GB of RAM, it would always appear in the guest OS as 3 GB of RAM and no more.
Has anyone seen this issue or have any input? Thank you-

One can see the cookies of session in private browsing mode - see only normal cookies.
Using Firefox 19.0.2
Is it possible to allow Firefox to display ONLY the cookies of the current session in private browsing mode, rather than a list of my regular cookies?
First, basic cookies management seem to work fine for me, in both normal mode and private browsing: Cookies set during private browsing are removed as expected when you exit Firefox or switch to normal navigation.
HOWEVER...
I can't SEE the new cookies set during a private browsing session.
If I start Firefox normally, switch to private browsing mode and then go to Options > show Cookies, the window opens showing a long list of my 'normal' cookies
Previously, the cookies window seems to be EMPTY at the start of a private browsing session. After a while of browsing and then recheck the list I see only the cookies set in this private browsing session.
Now, during a private session, when I re - check the list of cookies for navigation I see my regular cookies, and NONE of the new session cookies appear in this list (the same cookies appear as before switching to the private mode).
I tried to start Firefox in Mode safe, without a change in behavior. I also tried to disable the modules, without change.

Whenever I use Firefox the page so that I can see only the left half of the some site; that is half of the info useful page (the rest is cut) poster on the half right of my screen so that half left of my screen right bottom of the site. By using the maximize / restore does nothing. If I swap the display full screen, I see everything well, but of course I lose my toolbars. I installed the latest version of Firefox with no joy. I looked for a function of setting page nothing is done. I thought that time would fix it as it is something that has already happened, but was temporary. Other browsers work fine. I thought to uninstall then reinstall but I do not want to lose my favorites etc I don't have to. Thanks for your help in advance; I hope that this hike makes some sense.

It seems that the left margin is medium to large, but I HAV already watched it and this isn't the problem and ive tried zooming in and out aswell and reset the zoom ect
It is possible that the screen is too wide or too high and bars scrolling down.
Open the system menu via Alt + space and see if you can resize the window.
If it works then close Firefox (file > exit/Quit) to save the setting.See also:
