T510 CUDA NVS3100m question

Hello

Could someone run CUDA on the T510 with NVS3100m applications?

The feature seems to have been disabled by lenovo and I bought this laptop because she saw this card to work on my CUDA application because the decent flops of the card.

Is the pilot released only and without CUDA graphics?

Thanks in advance.

  • T510 factory reset question

Windows 7 64 bit on my T510 is dead. When you connect, it hangs on the forever login screen. Windows Recovery failed too. It lasted eight hours and reported an error (something like error to restore a file and the disk is full, although my C drive is half empty). After that, all the Windows restore points have disappeared. So I guess I need to factory reset.

My question is, I made two other partitions on my hard drive using external tools, that store all my data. So when I do the factory reset, these two partitions are replaced? Any suggestions so I can recover the system while keeping all my data? Thank you.

The resumption of the plant will remove all partitions on the disk. Faced with a similar problem, here is what I do:
First of all, I have remove all hard drive passwords. Then, I suggest Vibrio hard drive test in BIOS to see if the drive is the root of the problem. Buy a new hard drive, then install the OS on the new drive. The old disk can be mounted in a USB enclosure or an Ultrabay adapter to access the data. I tend to keep the old drive for 3-6 months in case I've missed or forgotten something, so I sell or reuse the old disk, after the failure of it.

  • T510 / T-Series computer laptop fan mechanism / longevity Question

    Hello

I have a question about the fan of the T510 or any other versions of the TP Fans. It is a mechanical bearing or is it a magnetic rehabilitation. Why I ask this is because I cleaned the fan with a cotton swab wiping down and then using a vacuum (yes I know it of not exactly as recommended) dust, vents and the fan blades. Given that the TP works well and without any problems, to the reading of a few other horror stories of fans of mobile phones of other people who have been destroyed by improperly wiping the fan blades out of short circuit of the laptop because the fan caused reverse rotation that has created an engine, I get a little paranoid.

Thus, the difference in the bearings of the fan make a difference? If if it's magnetic or mechanical?

    Thank you

The fan has a very simple mechanism. There is a tree which is made of hard plastic or, more likely, a kind of carbon fiber, which slips into a brass bushing. I've never run a chemical analysis to determine if the tree is made of plastic or something else, or if the ring is brass or bronze.

  • Question about CUDA and SLI

So, I know that SLI makes no difference in the first, but my question is - does it has harmful effects? For example, if I have two GTX580s SLIed on my system, is it I always get all the benefits a CUDA in the first card or the SLI will reduce somewhat the effect?  Ideally, I would like to have a system with CUDA support and a 3 monitor configuration.  As far as I KNOW, with Nvidia cards, the only way to get three monitors is to have two cards in SLI.

I think that you would break the connection SLI to get first and MPE even work at all.

This statement is incorrect.  I ran two nVidia cards and no identical cards in my system for a demo of three monitor.  They're apparenly should use similar or perhaps even the same driver.

  • Another question on the T510 restoration after an another installed sys

    Hello guys,.

I tried to read this forum through several times in order to find the answer, but still not able to get my work from the laptop.

I installed Win8 instead of manufactured Win7, then killed an option to use the ThinkVantage button as I see it.

Sheet music: Lenovo_Recovery and SYSTEM_DRV (could be something appeared after) are still there.

RnR downloaded, shows - error 6.

None of the restore or backup discs.

The question here is - can I still use this partition for something and somehow restore from there?

    Would appreciate any help here.

IIRC, there was a WIM environment that was on SYSTEM_DRV which was the rescue of the recovery and the recovery environment. You may need to add an entry to BCD for this... somehow. No idea how to do it with Windows 8.

  • A question about CUDA compatible GPU

After 5 years, I have finally updated my computer tot he new i-7 6700 k 4 ghz quad core processor intel, motherboard Asus Maximus VIII and 32 GB ddr4 RAM. Then I was going to upgrade my GPU of my current GTX GeForce NVIDIA 470 (EVGA) and started looking to the bottom of the list with compatible NVIDIA GPU via the official Adobe site. Just looking through the list and check the price on amazon, it seems most of these cards is no longer available and most are sold as used. This makes it confusing and difficult to decide what GPU to get the next. GPU above $500 are out of my price range at that time and I expected to get something decent for about $300. I was hoping I could get help to be able to choose a good GPU which will work with CUDA in the first and will not be too expensive.

    Thank you

GTX 960 or 970 would be good options.

  • T510 sales Question

    Hello!

The site Web lenovo, the winter sale ends 27 Jan. Does include T410 and T510? And when free shipping ends?

    Thank you!

To determine this, the easiest method is to choose the material you want to buy, get to the cart and try to apply the discount code.  You will know immediately if it is valid or not.

  • Thin Client HP T510 printer questions

So we have thin clients. We have a local default printer installed for the administrator who "invades" on the "Default user" profile (which is great, that's what must happen) when we try to install a network printer:

    1. We disable the write filter
    2. We disable the security for the user
    3. We install the printer network under the user's profile
    4. We invited domain administrator credentials.
    5. We enter the identification information and properly install/test the printer
    6. We restart and allow the connection of the user (automatic)
    7. The printer is there, but it says "access denied, unable to connect."

    Key information:

    1. These thin clients MUST have locally installed printers
    2. These thin clients are not on the field, they are the default WORKGROUP

This seems like it should be easy to make it work, but I can't seem to find a solution and I have worked on it for over a week now. Thanks in advance.

    Solution:

Put printer driver software on USB stick and install locally via the setup.exe.  Do not use the software in windows, for some reson he has a problem with striking pilots from the network.  Running the driver software installation file locally worked like a champ.

  • Question of contrast T510 - additive to the original message

I've been in contact with Lenovo's Support and they are also unable to upgrade the driver intel HD 8.15.10.2253.

I did some research and feel the issue involves Nvidia Otimus, it seems the Nvidia driver intel HD are

coupled somehow and this does not allow the update to the latest version of the driver intel. I have passed this information to Lenovo support in the hope that a solution can be found. I suspect that this problem comes to the light and their documentation

    has not caught yet.

Anyone who has ALREADY up to date is in this crazy High Tech World!   ;-)

2 documents to be reviewed are;  RAHUL-76476 and RAHUL-76276, you will notice in the first part of the latter, the two drivers are

referred to as all - Version: 8.17.12.5738/8.15.10.2202.

Hope this helps someone else trying to solve this problem.  I'll post when the issue is resolved.

    Take care, Bob

  • E30 GPU Intel HD Graphics P3000 and GTX560Ti... Question?

I managed successfully to adapt to an Asus GTX560Ti CUII 1 GB DDR5 card in the tiny bowels of my E30.

I also upgraded to an ACE 'Black edition' 650BR 650w POWER supply unit. things work well for the moment in any case.

I use the GPU GTX560Ti to an iRay CUDA renderer in 3DS Max 2013.

    Question...:

Can I operate the monitor off the chip integrated Intel HD P3000, while having the GTX560Ti recognized by the E30 in the form of secondary card?

I tried the BIOS setting for 'Video' of the 'AUTO' to "IGD" or what was the abbreviation for switching internal GUI. Then I plugged the via VGA in connector of the card mother VGA monitor to the rear. It starts up fine, but when I run 3DS Max 2013 he couldn't find the map GTX560Ti on the inside.

I can run BIOS 'Video' as 'AUTO', and the GTX560 card works well as a main card. I want to just run as a secondary card, in order to free up memory cards to render iRay rather than be a Windows display adapter.

    Any help or ideas?

    Thank you

Well with the IGP as primary; from the start the desktop both resident boot Asus graphic apps (SmartDoctor and GPUTweak) have both reported the lack of card. I went to start 3ds Max and entered in the dialog iRay, scrolled down and where the GPU was usually selectable was now empty. I assumed, and quite, not companies in the PC card.

    Anyway, I seem to have fixed "memory" problems to tweak some settings in Max;

memory and performance parameters/bitmap /Render options/bitmap proxies on and systems / make with proxies.

(This adjustment clips and reduction textures not visible within the limits of the object they are applied to so that it loads less bitmaps in memory cards)

I also used a third party called PolygonCrusher application to reduce the number of polygons and so faces to load into memory too. That dropped the polygons around 50% without any significant artifacts.

Everything works fine now, and on doubts, I also like boost GUI I get in applications to use as primary GTX560. Maybe when the budget of departments is reset next year I'll put in an order for a 2 GB card, but for now I think I've got it sorted at a performance level that is achievable.

    Thanks for your help, Erik

  • WD5000LPVX WD Blue for T510?

The WD5000LPVX being SATA 6 Gbps, can I assume it will always work with T510 but only slow down to the limits of T510 to 3 GB/s? Does anyone have any questions or concern for her. Your help is appreciated.

Good day and welcome to the community.

The SATA standard is backward compatible. While I have no experience with this specific drive, it should be a problem in your T510.

    Kind regards.

  • Reading of temperature for the use of Thinkpad T510

    Hi all

I have a question about the standard temperature / acceptable range for computers thinkpad t510 operation. My setup is currently my t510 is connected to an external monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse. Therefore basically a desktop computer except using the innerds of the laptop as the "heart" of the system. My power manager put the CPU to adapt. The temperature readings that I get for the processor and the motherboard download the program called of Piriform Speccy are on average 60 to 61 degrees C. I wonder if it is within the normal temperature of operation for the laptop and if it is acceptable. What is the temperature not okay and why it is so high, it's that I use external references. Also, I even use heavy workload for the laptop and more for the web, browsing and listening to music and work on documents / spread sheet so basically, office work.

And finally, the problem of temperature would resolve if I would in the future to get a computer laptop w530 since these laptops are more "powerful"? Or is that evil and the temperature is normal.

    Thanks in advance for answers

Yes ~ 60 ° C is quite normal. I would get concerned if temperature readings consistently exceeded 80 c or if the fan was constantly. Otherwise you will see the temperature fluctuates as activity processor and graphics vary.

  • ThinPro Lync of 5 questions

    Hello

We have installed a HP T610 with ThinPro 5 thin client. Now I have problems with Lync on XenApp. Each call to Lync loses audio connection after a few minutes. When I try to watch a video or listen to an mp3 audio works normally. So I don't know if it's the Citrix receiver 13.0.1 for Linux or another element on the thin client. We do not use the lync management pack by the way.

We had no problems with the machines ThinPro 4.6 and the old Citrix receiver for Linux.

Does anyone else have this problem?

    See you soon
