  • Invisible tables in Dreamweaver CS3

Hello - I have a problem with access to the appropriate table in Dreamweaver CS3. In the past that I've never had a problem with that now all of a sudden I can't figure out what I did to change this setting. I want my tables without borders, that I've accomplished by assigning null border... but now it completely disappears from the page so I'm working on it and I have nothing to set my table. In the past when working with zero borders it would define the structure of the table but didn't appear not when published on the web. I went in view / visual aids / and checked the table borders and still nothing. How can I check my table limits while working without a border? Years, I have had no problem with that and now I'm really confused as to what I did to change the setting. Please, if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Even with a black background, you should be able to see lines dotted around a table.

I just tested with a black background with Visual AIDS > table borders turned on could see the outline and then borders , then Icertainly could not something :-)

Looks like something is broken in DW If DW starts acting a little weird - it frequently means that you can have a personal configuration file corrupt.

Close Dreamweaver, search the personal configuration file and rename it.

When you restart Dreamweaver, it should create a new folder of configuration with all the default values of program.

For more information on how to find the configuration file, see the next page in the Dreamweaver FAQ

I hope this will fix the problem for you.

  • Help with a config table in Dreamweaver

    Hi guys,.

Having trouble setting up a table in Dreamweaver and I know I should have enough knowledge to sort, but my brain went on vacation, I could ask here thought, I hope someone can enlighten us. OK, let's go.

I have, on my site, a section for my Blogs. I have 3 Blogs and make them sit nicely in a table of 3 column width and just keep adding lines if necessary.

Now, the problem I have is when I type the text in 1 cell of table (column), everything is ok. Problem is when I type the entries in the 2nd table cell (column), the text won't start from the top of the cell, it starts adjacent to the typing where ended in the 1st cell. The same thing happens also to the text in the cell 3 (column).

Here is a url to show the problem: http://www.andywhitham.com/blogmay

I know Dreamweaver table facilities to have a fool proof system, looks like Im the fool who has yet to prooofed... lol

If anyone can shed some light on this, I would be grateful.

    Andy,

Place your cursor in the cell of the table and through the property inspector, set the vertical alignmen UPSTAIRS.

That will move all content to the top of the cell ;-)

Optionally, seek to eliminate all line styles and place them in a style sheet, it will keep your codes nice and clean and make it easier change of styles of the element if you want to change styles on different elements, for example: borders, background color etc..,.

also, you can watch using a doctype - for the moment that the page does not use one, it sends the page in quirks mode and can make unexpectedly in different browsers.

  • SQL type unrecognized: 'unsigned int' when I expand a table in Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver warning message - "unrecognized sql type: 'int unsigned.

This was happening in Dreamweaver MX and now in CS3. Pages using these tables are not to throw errors when I test them, but whenever I have to expand a table in Dreamweaver, I get these warning messages. Often, I get the same message several times and have to click OK every time before I can move forward. I had earlier OK the warning three times for a table that has a field of type integer and the two fields in total.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How to add text on an image that is inserted into a table in Dreamweaver

I am relatively new to dreamworks and I saw the easiest way so far is the use of tables to make your layouts, I wonder if there is a way where you can insert text on (in front of) an image that fits into a table?

Easy and best are not synonymous.  The best way to create modern web pages is no tables with CSS layouts.   If someone told you of tables are better, they are ill-informed, out-of-touch and/or you are looking at a tutorial very old.

Getting back to your original question, put your image in the background with the CSS code.

  • How to paste an Excel table in Dreamweaver CC 2015?

While Dreamweaver CC 2014 was slow as molasses, at least he had some useful features such as copy/paste an Excel table directly in the HTML code. DW CC 15 now seems so married to HTML5 etc, that DIVs are welcome, but the TABLEs are not. Is there something that I am missing?

Thank you for understand how to paste an Excel table directly in DW CC 2015, with the same number of rows and columns.

    Hello

I believe that you are in Live view mode, please move to design, and then try to do the same.

Also with the DW CC 2015 version, a few amendments to editing capabilities please check them too.

  • Adding rows or cells to existing Tables in Dreamweaver CC

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Why can't I add additional cells or columns to an existing table?

I have a database that I've frequently updated, but I note that since I upgraded my software from Studio MX 2004 to Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 (try now Dreamweaver CC) and the table options (such as adding rows/columns) are not available.

What is the best way to list the alphabetical links. Should I just list people without a table or I can use what I already designed (without having to create a new page, since it will age to enter all the data again)?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Concerning

    Suzanne

Make sure that you are in Design view, not to live.

The editor in Live mode does not give you the standard table options.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, if your pages use a fluid grid, Fashion Design presentation won't be available if you use DW CC 20141, deleted Adobe Design view for GFL in this version. • Need help give color to the cells in a table and in table borders Dreamweaver CC - please!

    Hello

I am a teacher and use Dreamweaver CC to make my class web page.

How can I give color for the borders of the cells in a table that I inserted?  How can I give color and thickness of the line

    for table borders, too?

I bought the DVD of David powers, and it does not show that.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    John

Assuming you placed a table in your document and your CSS Designer Panel is open

    1. click on the sign «+»

    2. choose your option. I'll choose 'Define on the Page.

    3. follow the above sequence, 1. Click the table, 2. ensure that the table is selected, 3. Click on the style, 4. Click on the "+" symbol, 5. Displays the switch.

    4. click the selector and choose the required properties.

You can do the same for the line)) or a cell)). In fact, this is how would you style something in your document.

  • Separation of table in Dreamweaver CC

I'm having a problem in Dreamweaver CC that I didn't in CS5. I get a few pixels of separation between the stacked lines of tables that contain images. I made sure that the width of the table and height corresponds to the width and height of images. Without the inserted images, tables fit together perfectly, but when a picture is inserted, I get the separation at the top and bottom.

    What I'm missing here?

It would be better if we could see the code in our browsers.

Without a link to your page, it's all guesswork.

My guess would be, you are in a html5 doctype and you see the default text chute fills by adding inline elements. Try adding the following to your css...

    IMG {}

    Display: block;

    }

If this does not help, please post a link to your page.

  • Tables in Dreamweaver CS6

How to specify the thickness of an individual table cell in Dreamweaver CS6?  I had a page created using CSS, but our website hosting software does not recognize CSS, so I'm back to good old HTML and table layouts.  No matter what I try, I can't the thickness of the cell to change.  If I add a border to the entire table, it only affects the external borders and not the cell borders internal.

Why don't you use inline styles?

style = "border: 3px solid red"> cell with red border ""

    Add this to your CSS:

    Body {margin: 0; padding: 0}

And your table code should begin immediately after thetag in your HTML file.

By the way, table-based layouts are NOT the best approach.  You would like to take this opportunity to learn to work with CSS layouts.  This is the standard modern web.

  • Table Simple Dreamweaver question

I have so many tables, 100 rows, 5 columns for my data.  Here's my question, is there a way to tilt the table given above then go down and up and down.  All my data is from the old to the new, when I want recent to old.  I know that you can do in Excel by alphabet or date, id there a way DW

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure you can't sort a column or row of values in a table html using DW. What you could do is create your list in Excel, sort the list in Excel and copy the range of the table and paste it into DW, which will create a perfect html table. You can also copy and paste from Dreamweaver to Excel, but it is not as simple. You will need to copy and paste a column at a time, and you will have an additional empty line for each line populated.

Another solution is to create a mySQL table that can be easily sorted and uses PHP to display the table on your page. You must know at least the basics mySQL and PHP to do that, but if want to add constantly new records to your table, mySQL is your best solution. If your table is static, the first solution works perfectly.
