Tandberg MXP 990 / F5.4 video failure on MCU

Hi all

Since the last update (7.2.2 to x8.1 VCS) and a MCU 5310 from 4.3 to 4.4, you encounter the following problem:

No video sees these codecs by other participants in the videoconference.

Just to let you know, the video is fine when we're in a point to point call, but not when the MCU is included.

And 990 codecs send video but it is not received by the participants, as MCU indicates the quality of the signal.

Encryption, media ports have been changed for the tests, no other success.

Is there a problem with H263/H263 / H264 on these very old versions of software?

Thanks for your answers and advice.

See you soon,.

Jul

I would recommend that you upgrade your old firmware of codecs. There is a Safety Advisory (http://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cis...) which may be of interest - you should be able to get an upgrade to version F9.1 with that - then it as a simple upgrade to the latest F9.3.1 from there.

  • Video failure TDR on Satellite L550

    Hello
I have the laptop L550, 32-bit. After a recent update of Win8 I couldn't return the computer: screen had a blue window on a black background and 'video TDR failure' with the disjoint - barely readable text. I was able to enter back finally and copy some crucial files but not able to go back to windows.

First question, is why I can get a screen back but not windows.

Not wanting to abandon the computer right away if I can help it. This would set a new video card.

    Thank you

It is not easy to say what the problem is here. If there is no way to start Windows I recommend you to reinstall using Hat version original you have with your machine.

You didn t posted the name of the exact model (L550-xxx) and we do not know what OS you are using exactly.
I hope that you have created a recovery (DVD, USB) media in the past, then you can use for recovery image installation. After that your laptop will have settings factory and everything should be OK.

  • Tandberg Edge 95 MXP Password reset via the remote control

    Hello

I try to reset the IP password via the remote control and still get the complaint that the password must be at least 8 characters and the number. I tried all combinaiton of 8 characters and 1 number, 8 characters and 2 numbers, 6 tanks and 2 numbers, 4 characters and 4 numbers, number 8 characters and 1 number 1 and so on. Is there something special about looking for the system?

    Thanks for the support!

PS. When I telnet into the system, it shows TANDBERG Codec Release F7.2 PAL / SW Release Date: 2008-10-31, so I guess it is 7.2.

Do you know if strict password is enabled or not?

By default, that is, unless you have turned it off at some point, which will ask for a password at least 15 characters that contains 2 lowercase letters, 2 caps, 2 numbers and 2 special characters.  You can check by connecting to the endpoint using SSH or Telnet and runs the API command below:

    xConfiguration StrictPassword
Here are the steps to reset the password to access IP on a TANDBERG MXP endpoint, I suggest that you try to use the API to change the password by logging on to the endpoint by Telnet or SSH instead of the remote control. The most recent software MXP is F9.3.4, suggest you also improve your point of termination to the latest version to mitigate the security issues with the older software. You can contact TAC and advisory security cisco-sa-20140605-openssl to get a key to unlock so you can upgrade your MXP to software F9 of reference, from there, you can upgrade to F9.3.4.
  • Cisco profile 52/55 double - video screens on a single screen after software upgrade 7.1.4

    Hello

I improved 52/55 to TC 7.1.4 double profile system and it displays more video on two screens at a conference. It displays the contents of the second fine screen. He worked in version 6, so I'm wondering if something changed in the software or endpoint requires additional configuration.

I checked the settings under Configuration > system setup > video > monitors and it is set to Dual. I changed a few times and set it to the double, but this does not solve the problem. I do not see any option button double screen added under system information, but I guess that's an option double screen so it's a dual monitor system.

I need to change any settings?

Cisco has changed how layouts behave after TC6 on C-series systems. If you want your system behave in the same way as a Tandberg MXP more used to work (end of full screen on a single screen) and selfview full screen on the other, you can do the following telnet commands:

    xconfig video monitors: double

xconfig video CamCtrlPip CallSetup Mode: Off

    xconfig video SelfviewDefault Mode: Off

    xconfig video SelfviewDefault OnMonitorRole: second

    xconfig video SelfviewDefault modepleinecran: on

I had a lot of customer complaints after the upgrade and these orders have been tested by Cisco and I've applied to many of my clients and it works.

    Hope this helps your case

  • Installation card video-on-demand p7 - 1456c Office - problems

    Hello

Recently I bought HP p7 desktop computer - 1456c and am trying to install a video about this card. (he uses the graphical subsystem integrated initially)

First of all, I bought a new power supply (Corsair 500w one), because the original 300w wouldn't support it.

The power supply, I installed and it works very well, my PC boots and works.

Then I tried to install my video card, which is a Nvidia EVGA GTX 650.

The hardware installation was not a problem, but no matter what I do, I have no video output.

I am trying to determine if I have a defective hardware (video card) or if I have other problems.

Is it necessary to configure the settings of the BIOS with this computer?

The menu of the BIOS that I see is this:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03383166

    I tried the things:

    * Disconnected and reconnected the video card to the PCI-e slot connectors and power him

Tried both DVD-DVD-D ports with different cables and I

    * Tried to disable the secure in the BIOS boot option

    * Make that PCI-e port is enabled in the BIOS

I know for sure that the computer starts, I hear sounds loading and can get into Windows.

When the video card is installed, there is simply no video output.

The monitor and cables I used works very well; There are good output video when I don't have the video card installed and use the onboard graphics with the same cable and monitor.

Is there something else I should have tried, or are there problems of compatibility between this computer and the graphics card, I may have a problem with the motherboard or it's most likely a problem with the video card, I bought?

I don't have access to another computer or graphics card to try.

    Thank you.

Here are the specifications of your computer HP Pavilion p7 - 1456c. According to the specification, this model comes with Windows 8 factory-installed. Because it has Windows 8 is installed, it also has a BIOS feature called "Secure Boot" which is enabled by default. In addition, there an other BIOS feature called 'Legacy Support', which is disabled by default. Many video cards are not compatible with Secure Boot and it should be DISABLED for the video card work properly. Sometimes it takes that legacy Support is also ENABLED. Normally, you will receive an error code of BIOS indicating a video failure but not always.

Please change the BIOS settings listed above, so that using the factory an integrated graphics card. Then, reinstall the new video card and connect the additional power required. Now, start the computer by using the new video card... What are the results? This solve your problem? If this isn't the case, you may have a bad power supply or video card.

    Please send Bravo

  • (Redirected) Alienware Area 51 R2 - video card is dead - can I get a replacement?

    Hello

Curious to know if I use here. Last weekend I woke to my PC beep to a black screen. 6 beeps in a row over the post, then nothing. Beep codes indicate a video failure. I remove the Nvidia GTX980 card and replaced by another, I had. PC boots fine and video work. I try reinstalling the Nvidia card in different locations, check the cables and the alignment, still 6 beeps and no video.

I bought the system in March 2015 and the warranty expired month last on 4/1. Of course :(

Am I out of luck? It is an expensive problem to have happen after only 1 year.

As you have no warranty, then you are "out of luck" greetings to Dell providing a free replacement graphics card.

In addition, for more information, better make this post in the Alienware owners Club Forum, here:

  • Tandberg 1700 light green but no display

Our Tandberg 1700 will not start.  It has a green light but no screen.  When I press a button on the remote control, the green light flashes.  I opened a hyperterminal and it seems to be looping in a large number of messages such as 0x139ffd40, pool_mss and 0x13a00340, audcamtrack_process and then starts the boot all over again.  I did the factory reset command (eee) seems to work but when I restart the system it goes back to the same loop.  Does anyone know what anyone else I could try?

Sounds very similar to a problem in this thread: https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12156181/tandberg-mxp-3000-stuck-boot-loop-and-break-keys-not-working.

You can use the pause button to get to a CLI, then try to re - load the firmware?

Otherwise, you must connect a call with the TAC, probably for a hardware replacement.

  • Video receive activated automatically the bit rate optimization

    Hi all

The MCU software version 4.3 (2.32), "video receive bit rate optimization" and "flow control video errors" is automatically activated when MCU is in one of the HD, HD or Full HD modes.

But our client must disable 'Video receive bit rate optimization' in these HD modes.

(On the 4.2 version of the software, we could turn off the setting in HD mode)

Is it possible to disable the parameter in these HD modes?

    Any advice will be welcome.

    Best regards

    Kotaro Hashimoto

Hi Kotaro.  This setting is enabled by default now in 4.3 mcu and go in HD mode.  This setting runs only the speed of transmission being received from the point of termination and that the MCU is does not send endpoint.  This will save bandwidth video and the MCU will flow this user up to its rate of channel if necessary.

If the participant is very important, the MCU will endpoint to send video to a high bandwidth. If the participant is not being viewed at all (or only viewed in the components of the very small view), the MCU will ask what the video is sent at a lower rate to save bandwidth network.

This only affects what the endpoint is sending and don't receive not.

    Hope it makes sense.

  • Remove the video of TCS in the layout when flow on demand through TMS ' record'

    System information:

    TMS v13.2.2

TCS v5.2 (configured as a terminal)

    4510 Codian MCU v4.4

The TCS and the MCU are registered at TMS.  I work on the management of all our calls more centrally by TMS and struggled to integrate the CHT in conferences.  I don't want the black screen of the "registration...". "appears as a participant at the disposal of the participants.  I know these can be configured manually to rule out it, but I want to automate it as much as possible.

On the MCU, aliases are configured to not send the video to the MCU by default; It silently records in the background.  All conferences configured directly on the MCU without the "help" of TMS call out to all the endpoints - including the alias TCS - and only the video settings are visible.  The content is saved properly.

When conferences are planned through TMS, however, the TCS alias is composed in just like before, but it also sends a video feed to the MCU - a black screen with "Recording" on this subject.  I tried to call from the system directory and what makes an "external" call, but both give me the same result.  I guess that's because the MCU and TMS do not share the same phone book.  What is the reason?  When this happens, the MCU is not the ability to cut the flow of the CS during the video content.

Currently, my plan is to have every endpoint called via TMS scheduling and then have my technicians dial to the CS manually after that trial is over.  Automation is my aim, however

    Any help would be great.

    Hello Luke.

You can very easily cut the video and/or audio from the TCS in your conference.  When you create the reservation in MSD and have your MCU added, go into 'Connection settings' and it should be two boxes on the right-hand side where you can trim the video/audio.

Try it and let us know.

  • Video loading on 5310 MCU (via XML - RPC)

    Hello.

I am trying to create a script for Nagios monitoring monitor the use of the video ports on my 5310 MCU (software version 4.4).

I found an example of a perl using RPC::XML scipt and it works quiet well except for one thing: I have no video support.

I used the "device.health.query" method, which should include a member named "videoLoad" (an allusion to Cisco TelePresence MCU API 2.10 Guide).

I get a correct result of this method, but there are some missing members.

    Here is the result:

    rtcBatteryStatus

    Ok

    operationalStatus

    assets

    voltagesStatusWorst

    Ok

    fanStatusWorst

    Ok

    temperatureStatusWorst

    Ok

    temperatureStatus

    Ok

    mediaLoad

    1

    voltagesStatus

    Ok

    fanStatus

    Ok

    cpuLoad

    0

    rtcBatteryStatusWorst

    Ok

    There is no «videoLoad» Member

Is that what I got wrong, or do I have to activate something on the MCU?

Is there another way to get the load of the video of the MCU (such as SNMP or sth)?

    Kind regards

    Sven Lindeke

HELLO Sven.  Thus, it seems that the platform of the 5300 series will not return these values as the old platforms.  VideoLoad and audioLoad return values have been deleted because they were reporting incorrect information from this platform works mixed audio and video DSP unlike older models of MCU.

The only options I see here:

    (1) run a script to extract the status data > conferences page.
    (2) to invest in the conductor and request a conductor for audio and video ports in use.
    (3) account team push to drive above CDETS for call API to draw the status information > conferences page.
    (4) put in place a script to subscribe to and then listen to the events of feedback - see page 18 of the http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/mcu/api_guide/MCU_API_2-10.pdf
May be able to count participants join and leave this way maybe.

I know that doesn't help you now, but only four methods I can recommend at this time.

  • CUCM mcu siptrunk video call bindwith

    Hi team

I have a question about how can I config the bindwith for the siptrunk?

I used a tunk sip to leave the cucm forward the video to the mcu conference call (5310), but no matter how I set up the bindwith video of location in cucm profile, call rates transmit only 384 k, but the receive call rate is 4000 k, but the hit rate and resolution are well when the mcu call codec (C60) directly by using H.323.

I think I missed something in cucm configuration.

    Hi Jason,

Could you give more information about the configuration of CUCM? How your regions are configured? Do you have the regions applied to SIP Trunk and the phone? The relationship between the regions allow enough bandwidth for the video?

If I'm not mistaken, the default bandwidth for the video within the region setting is 384 k. Did you change this value to your regions?

I also suggest to examine the configuration of your location and check if there is any restrictions applied.

    Concerning

  • Desktop HP Pavilion h8-1150z: desktop HP Pavilion h8-1150z - 6 beeps and no start

My Home Office HP Pavilion (Pav HP h8-1150z AMD (Angelica) 3 c NAPC) is about 3 and a half years (and apparently 6 months past my HP Care Pack coverage extension).   It runs Windows 7.  Yesterday while the computer was not idle, he began to make a new sound of snoring (a bit like a fan noise).  So I stopped the machine.

Now, when you try to restart, it gives 6 beeps and goes no further.  It's always a little strange noise of snoring.  After my research, it looks like it's some pre video failure.

I tried to remove the graphics card and re-sitting there.  While I had the video card, I tried to restart.  The sound of snoring had gone, but still have the 6 beeps.  While the Office has been opened, I also reinstall memory and blew out the dust.  Still no luck.

I've seen a few suggestions to clear CMOS but don't know what I would need to do it with this machine.  I unplug the machine and press down the power button for several seconds to erase any residual power.

Any suggestions/recommendations?  If it looks like my graphics card has gone bad, any suggestions on how to buy a compatible replacement?

    Thank you.

    old_geekster,

I talked to Support PNY and they agreed that the graphics card, I bought should be compatible but does not appear (maybe because I was running an old version of the bios on the HP computer, but I found myself stuck in being not able to update).

So I ended up finding another graphics card (EVGA GeForce 8400 GS 1 GB DDR3 PCIe 2.0 graphics card 16 x) and that did the trick!  Once I have installed the new card I was back running.

Thank you once again for all the help you have provided me and your community support!
