tar

I have a big tar file created on UNIX I want to expand in a directory of the source text in the vista file system. How to unpack it and retrieve the source directory?

Hi tatnallb,

You will not be able to decompress the file on Windows vista.
There are some third-party software available online that will help you accomplish the task.

Use your favorite search engine to search for such software.

  • How to set to ff 7xx - has obtained a tar, don't know how and no docs I can find

    I want to improve from 3.6.17 - looks like I need to download 7.whatever. Can not find a way to do it by simply clicking on something that says 'upgrade '. Docs say update is automatic and will ask you to click OK when the upgrade is available. This is not the case. Another doc say click Help, and then upgrade. It is not an option in the Help menu. It's great that FF is free and all that, but it seems impossible to find ANY documentation that is COMMON and USEFUL Please HELP.

    Mozilla does not include updates to third parties such as the 3.6.17 versions you have from Ubuntu. Either you get updates of Firefox since Ubuntu package or download the version of Mozilla.

    The TAR is quite simple as you unpack and then run the script to firefox. If you are the only user, then put it in a folder at home is a simple way around the read/write permissions for updates of firefox.

  • I am running openSUSE 11.3 on my desk. A message says I have to update to Firefox. I clicked on upgrade and have downloaded a file named "firefox - 6.0.2.tar.bz2.

    I have extracted the tar file, but could not find a Firefox update script file. I don't want to spoil the Firefox that works, so I'm not blindly run something that I don't know what he'll do. I can't find instructions on how to manually update Firefox, and it will not be upgraded automatically. What is my next step? Can I get help?

    You currently have the version of Firefox which is the hallmark of SUSE, and version should be updated via this facility deposits.

    You can copy the content of archive tar.bz2 to another folder and create a new launcher to launch the firefox script in this folder to run this version of Firefox with this profile by adding Pei 'profile_name' in the command field.

    You must create a new profile if you want to continue to use the version of Firefox 3.6.x

  • Function Tare DAQ help and restart the service for the vi program

    Hello!

    I have a program that aquiers a signal sent by the DAQ Assistant. Here, I searched the Forum and on the web, but I can't find a way to implement a tare function. The signal comes from a cell and therby it would be good that Icould tare the zero value signal. In the DAQ Assistant I can calibrate it manually, but I would like to wire this function to a button.

    Also I have another problem that should not be difficult to solve, but I am struggling with it. I want a service resert my labview code so that I can restart the program from the beginning. I used a normal structure and restart an enum constant and weird via a tunnel. But it doesn't seem to work. Instead of reset the program it only stops it

    I have attached my code below.

  • I have problem-. TAR file

    I downloaded the .tar file, but I don't know how to use it. Can someone help me?

    . The TAR is the file to archive simple. You can use Winrar, Winzip or some of the software placed here

    http://FileExtension.info/file/tar

  • [TRE] I tried to use the system of TAR utility (compress does not)

    As above, I use system() to call the "TAR" command, it works with - cf, I tried to add compression using - z and the archive has not been created, I use test.tar as the example of name of archive and the file has been created, but it seems to be empty, use it without work - z if.

    zip is there but in/usr/bin, so you can compress in a separate step.

  • Tar utltilty - C works do not [cannot open file O_O]

    I tried to use the tar C system() function a directory (/ shared/documents) but say error could not open the file

    I shared permissions and it works if I use cp within the system)

    You can do it at the shell prompt?

    tar - c-f /accounts/1000/shared/documents/test.tar/accounts/1000/shared/camera

    You can start a shell by running the following command (tested on Linux; Mac or Windows may be slightly different)

    SSH-i ~/.rim/bbt_id_rsa [email protected]

  • BE5k tar BE6k Migration file fails

    Hi we are upgraded to a CUCMBE5k to 6 k (CUCM 9.1.2)

    Our existing server is on a HP MSC server and we bought the Cisco UCS C220 server. We follow the guide that describes the creation of the server then the import/export the tar files from the old server to the new CUCM below. Because it is on a new server that I am raising a new at the same time then I'll cut above.

    When I run the import, it fails. Attached is the work schedular failier. The log files have some info however, how I should handle this info, if I can. Has anyone experience this problem with the default TAR files?

    Thank you

    Mike

    There is no path of migration for CUCM out of a BE5k. You must build the new CUCM cluster from scratch. If you are patient, you can use BAT Import/Export to carry in most parts of the data; However, it will require a lot of massage in Excel, the columns will be different for your old version export and import on 9.1 2. Note that you can move the mailboxes CXN using COBRAS , but you must be on CXN 7.x or newer.

    If you have installed Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition 5000 on an MCS-7828 server, and you decide that you need to migrate to separate Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unity Connection environments for increased scalability and capacity, you can reuse that MCS-7828 server to run Cisco Unified Communications Manager in a MCS-7825 cluster. Although you can reuse the server, you must reenter your data on the server manually. You must also obtain another server to run Cisco Unity Connection.

  • "Détarer" problem with the Torch 9800/Device Simulator

    Hello everyone,

    Im a very strange problem with the Torch 9800 (OS 6).

    I have an application developed with 5.0 SDK. Throughout the process of synchronization of this app, there is a point he gets a. tar.gz file that is unziped. For this purporse (in fact, the tar part / "détarer"), we use a tar / "détarer" 'library' we found here in the forum (http://code.google.com/p/j2metar/). This library works fine in all phones with OS 5.0 that we try and even on the simulators of somo 6.0.

    But there seems to be a problem with the torch. During the uncompress, there are an exception, because what is the reading of the structure of the tar (from the industry), load the bytes that are invalid, corrupt, dirty, memory, and it fails.

    The strange thing of all is that if I have only the routine détarer to the file (in the torch), it works! But when I run all my sinchronization, which open and close httpconnections and process the file on some points (sometimes the same point, others of different) fails.

    My question is... are at - it a known bug, issue, etc. with the BONE of the torch (touch device)? Of course, the first thing that jump to mind is "my code is incorrect, memory leaks (in Java, but perhaps odd that a stream was not getting close properly)" and so on, but I can't seam to find the problem. And like I said before, this application works fine with the same file tar.gz in other devices like the 8520 OS 5, 9780 OS 6, 8900 (OS 5).

    IM completely stuck with this problem and any help/test will be greatly appreciated.

    Here some code, the method that makes him détarer and calls the détarer/tar library:

    public static boolean "détarer" (String tarFileUrl, String destUrl) bird Exception {}

    FileConnection fconn = null;
    FileConnection tarFileConn = null;

    fconn. Delete();    Create a new
    fconn. Create();
    }

    OutputStream os = fconn.openDataOutputStream ();

    While ((count = tis.read (data))! = - 1) {}
    OS. Write (data, 0, count);

    }

    OS. Flush();
    OS. Close();

    fconn. Close();
    fconn = null;

    }

    TIS. Close();
    TIS = null;

    bRet = true;

    } catch (Exception e) {}
    e.printStackTrace ();
    throw e;
    } {Finally
    try {}

    Hello

    It is a problem with the OS 6.  I've posted about this before here:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/reading-and-writing-file-on-torch-9800/TD-p/...

    Basically, corruption may occur if you write to the stream simultaneously in different threads.  The solution is to ensure that a single file operation is occurring at a given time.  Some people have had the chance to control the size of the buffer to something as a multiple of (64 * 1024)-1. e.g. 65535.  In addition, you can rinse after each write to the buffer.  I have had no luck with this, but others.  If you look at the bug in JIRA, there is also no activity on this:

    https://www.BlackBerry.com/jira/browse/JAVAAPI-1513

    Good luck!

  • Diff between orders of tar archive and archive download-SW?

    I need to update switch with file .tar. I've never done this before. I found two commands. But I'm confused what we I can run.

    Examples:

    tarball /xtract tftp://10.10.10.3/c2950-i6q4l2-tar.121-22.EA1.tar flash:

    OR

    Please notify. I just want the stand-alone switch with file .tar. Should I use the tarballs or archive download-sw

    I am a still waiting for answer. please help if possible

    You have created the thread at 11:53, and you want a response within 10 seconds (for example)?  Patience.

    Difference between 'archive tar/x' and 'archive download-sw "?

    "archive tar/x" command only Nations United-blocks of IOS.  That's all that.

    'archive download-sw' unpack IOS and you can run commands in option to remove old IOS (for example), change the boot chain with force to restart the unit after no packing ends, or run a MD5 hash check of the LOCATION of the file when the package not implemented, remove OLD IOS, etc..

    It's your choice.

    Some Catalyst switch 'dislikes' him 'archive download-sw' and, in some cases, give the impression that the update of IOS is complete, even if the packaging not still occurs in the background.

    You use the wrong command, it is the repository of patch install (name) (name of repo)

    You can install it via the web as administration, maintenance, patch management.

    Or the other way to work.

  • C2960-lanbasek9 - tar.150 - 2.SE2.tar high memory consumption

    Hi all

    I would strongly appreciate that someone could explain to me why my Clients-LAN Switches (c2960) during the upgrade to new IOS namely

    rump C2960-lanbasek9 - tar.150 - 2.SE1 and c2960-lanbasek9 - tar.150 - 2.SE2 upward memory consumption to somewhere between 80% and 90%.

    Is there a "bug" always with these IOS versions that could have caused this? I've never had this problem with the old version (c2960-lanbasek9 - tar.150 - 2.SE) of IOS. I've read through the Cisco Documents on these releases but wasn't too sure if new arrivals on these IOSs caused this high memory usage.

    Shown is an example of one of many c2960-switches using these IOSs. In the meantime, I intend to downgrade to c2960-lanbasek9 - tar.150 - 2.SE.

    Looking forward to your answers.
