Tasks missing after blackBerry Smartphones application that put 5.0 on level

I'm having a problem with my Tour 9630.  Upgrade to 5.0 and no apps to memo or task.  Tried everything.  Seems strange that BlackBerry would not auto load these applications and allow the user to remove themselves.  I'm tired of delete, reload, research, etc. for this is resolved.  Any easier way?

My problem was solved!  Yes!

Somehow, I was able to upgrade to a version of the platform that is not supported by my BB Tour 9630.  When I went to Verizon, downloaded the latest version for my phone which is v5.0 (Bundle 1600, platform 4.2.0.424) and installed it that everything worked fine.  Tasks, Notepad, even all games apps are now available.  When I opened by the Office Director, Applications was all there.  I was able to install patches and Notepad.  Works great!

Still trying to figure out how I had the wrong version loaded on my phone.  My suggestion is to be careful with the version that you install.  Check with your carrier or BlackBerry that you have the correct version.

Thank you all for all the help!

I use the bold 9900. I want to know how to check my application memory, because I have only 6 applications on my phone outside bbm, but my phone is still slow and sometimes it will hang and see the low application memory, delete some application.
I have reset drive hard before that I might be able to use it again, but it will still be hand after like 1 hour

    Hi josh2tyte

Know the memory application available from your device on your home screen to go to Options > device > storage > under the title of storage of applications please check free space =?

If you get this message as you said on your message, try removing some applications options > device > application > locate and remove any unused application or not that you rarely use. It can help improve your memory of the application.

    Hello

I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

    3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

    • KB24714 How to clear the cache of BlackBerry App World

    4 AppWorld must close

    5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

    6. return to AppWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync). Connect to MyWorld (if necessary - it will take your BB ID username and password this time; it's not remember your BB ID username after a clear the cache), and then try again.

If the step (4) and (6) do not occur as indicated, then the empty the cache did not work.

However, things can be odd, depending on what you mean by "completely"? Several carriers push icons "teaser" to get you to install applications they're pushing. But the icon itself is not an application installed... rather just a shortcut to "tease" you to install the application. You can't stop these teaser icons.

    Good luck!

  • Don't launch the blackBerry Smartphones Applications

I just downloaded a theme OTA and it seems that it is the cause of my "BOLD" for not being able to run almost all of my applications.

I tried to go to 'Options' to delete the theme, but I can't open it same.

    Hello josephineloretta

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums

First perform a battery pull reboot as this device on remove the battery for a min. then reinsert it wit back up what your device restarts. Then give it a try and see if it allows you to uninstall this application.

If that does not start then your device on Safe Mode, while safe mode remove the theme of your device. Options of > device > application > remove it of there.after conducting another battery pull reboot.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

A few things you need to do:

KB05099 Steps to take before selling it, or after buying a used BlackBerry smartphone

You need to talk to your operator so that not only the account of the BIS are removed, but also that they remove completely the existence of the @bb e-mail account.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can not put in place a personal e-mail account. I have only option to activate a company account

Hello.  I've worked for a company and access enterprise server needed to receive e-mails from company on my Curve 9330.  When I need is more capability, I called my provider, Sprint and cancelled my plan Enterprise Server and was able to set up a personal email account.  I need to recharge the phone to the default values and now when I go in the installation program to configure a personal e-mail account I only get the option.  When I select the email icon I automatically join in a sign 'no active account' and wonder of my enterprice account activity by providing an email and a password.  I don't have these and my personal e-mail id and password do not work.  I looked through the forums and follow the suggestion which has not solved the problem.  I also called Sprint and confirmed I have more company on my account/plan, in addition to checking with my local cable/internet provider that they do not cause the issue.  I rebooted the device 3 times today and have not made any progress.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile provider for official support... but, this time, not only ensure that BES is deleted, but the BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) is active, this is necessary in order to have personal email accounts on your BB device (as well as many other owners of BB services).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphone applications reinstall OS

When I upgraded to OS 4.5 I chose not to install Blackberry Maps. Now, I would like to add, but I don't get any of the applications that belong to the operating system, just the ones I installed after that on the application loader. How can I get the initial list of applications, including maps of BB?

    Thank you!

I think that if you reinstall the operating system, you will have it.

  • Update the blackBerry Smartphone applications lost with the new device

    Hello

I lost a few apps after downloading the latest OS - the most important is my password, suggestions as to how can I get it back?

    Hello mfheatlie,

    Welcome to the community,

Before the upgrade you have your backup on desktop software?

If Yes can then connect your device to desktop BB software > software on the BB desktop click applications>

There, you can see everything that you request list before your upgrade.

Select the Application that you want to transfer and then click APPLY.

If your applications lost are paid APPS. and you can not get to watch this link wire relocation paid apps

I hope that your problem decided. Good luck.

  • Switching of blackBerry Smartphone applications

While in a single application, i.e. messages and I want to 'requests' can I add to the choice of apps that is displayed and if so, how?

I believe you are referring to the application Ribbon that you can assign by doing Alt + ESC and hold down Alt.
    This Ribbon, you will see:

    • 5 icons: Home screen, Messages, phone, Blackberry Messenger, browser
    • any other application that you have already opened

So basically, when I'm in an application (for example, the media), I do not like LorrieM: I do Alt + ESC, then press Esc several times until I get to the app I want (such as Messages), and then I let go of the Alt key and I get the Message request.

    to answer your question:

    • You cannot add an icon for the 5 icons (= use as a quick launcher).
    • You can't delete one of these 5 icons.
    • You can assign the application to one of the two left and right from your blackberry convenience keys

Maybe you can try VLingo and see if it fits your needs.

  • Update blackBerry Smartphones/application through desktop bb software software

is it ok to update software of bb? How long does take to update the applications or the software?

    Yes, about an hour.

Use the BlackBerry Desktop Software on your computer, make a backup of your BlackBerry smartphone, first.

  • BlackBerry smartphones hope that's not welded as a stupid question!

I'm really interested in getting a new Blackberry Storm.  This will be my first Blackberry device.  I understand that you have a data plan to join your existing talk plan.  The data plan includes unlimited access to e-mail and web browsing.  What else covers this data plan? If anything like that?

The data plan includes the use of applications that can be downloaded to the storm?  Get you charged separately for use in other applications other than e-mail and browsing the web?

If this application is free and requires no subscription paying to hear, you will not have to pay extra money.

  • Updates the device blackBerry Smartphones application

Recently, when I am connected to BB Desktop Manager, updates available. I agree with all of the updates and he did it successfully. However, whenever I now connect to Desktop Manager, I receive the same message saying that the same updates are available. If I agree to them, he then tells me no updates are available. How can I get rid of this message.

    Hello

In this case, we can try to reload the software on the BlackBerry smartphone to make sure she is running the most recent version and there is no problems with the operating system on the device.

To do this, we would need to back up the BlackBerry Smartphone. Please open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and plug in your device. Click the backup and restore options, and then select Save. Note the location where the backup is saved will allow us to access later to restore the BlackBerry smart phone.

Once you have saved your BlackBerry smart phone, please follow the link below to complete a clean reload of the Smartphone BlackBerry software.

  • Asterisk blackBerry Smartphones Application Center? Application Center is necessary?

I noticed just today that Application Center on my VZW Tour has the red asterisk next to him. I checked all applications listed and they are to be listed as installed or not.

I QuickPull and configured it to run every morning to the wee hours.

Also, Application Center is necessary given that the App World is on my device? It not, it would be safe to delete?

    Thank you

    Ray K.

Application Center and App World are two different animals...

The Application Center allows you to search, browse, install and upgrade of third party applications that have been selected by your wireless service provider.
