TECRA A3 - started as disconnected connected LAN cable

Hello

because I got my TECRA A3-152, I experience the network at startup card does not recognize the network cable. The cable network is reported as disconnected. Only after manual toggle the NIC is recognized the cable and network card works fine.

OS is XP Professional version 2002 service Pack 2 (original English installation).
NIC: Marvell Yukon 88E8036 PCI-E Fast E with driver version 7.29.4.3 Marvell

Hello Antonio

It's a very strange question, and I've never heard of this. Anyway, the fact is that you have the most recent driver LAN. I put t know your personal settings, but maybe it's because of some other software you use in your business or whatever.

To be sure if there is a serious problem, it will be interesting to know if the same thing happens with the factory settings. If there is any chance trying to get second HDD and preinstall the unit with the recovery image. If the problem persists perhaps is the card itself is defective. In this case just ASP may do other tests to find out what evil is.

Sorry, but I don t has a different idea.

Good bye

    Hi people,

I have a wndr 3700 for a long time. Lately, every time I wanted to turn it off, and return is on, it does not start unless I have unplug all lan cables and wait for it to start. It is very stange, because there is no problem with it. Once it starts, it works fine. but I have to disconnect the cables and wait for the boot sequence.

no idea how I can fix this problem?

    Thank you.

I think I did. I flashed with ddwrt and now it starts at each connection to the local network. so it was probably a software issue or a hardware but ddwrt can handle or ignore it. I'll try the official fw to see if the old fw was just tired :)

    Thank you all.

  • Satellite Pro U300: Error Message: cable is disconnected, but Lan cable is connected

    Hello

I have problem with interface ethernet (wired) in my Satellite Pro U300. I use in many places (home, office, customers) and when I restore in sleep or hibernation mode interface ethernet shows that the * cable is disconnected *, despite the connection of the cable * is * connected and works perfectly with all other devices, laptops and PC.

The switch also shows that the there no signal link. But re - activate the malfunctioning ethernet port, just disable the ethernet interface and then after 5s (1 s is too short!) turn on.

Then a baloon in taskbar window indicates that there are 10 Mbit/s link, but actually, the link works at 100 Mbps (I can see it in the connection status window and the ethernet LEDs switch). This is the only laptop that has this kind of problems.

I have the latest version of the installed ethernet 5.664.205.2007 driver on Win XP SP2.

Is it possible I'm getting rid of turn on interface ethernet several times per day (except change laptop)?

    Hello

I put t have a real solution but I have a few proposals of solution

First of all, you should check in Device Manager if the network card has been properly recognized. The Ethernet card should be listed under network without any yellow exclamation point cards.

If the network adapter has been properly recognized, then the next step should be checking the properties of the LAN connection.
There, you should check the properties of the TCP/IP protocol.
The settings such as IP address automatically get & address of DNS server automatically get must be marked.

    Hello Mike ;)

I wonder what you do with your laptop. I have Satellite A300-1LI in front of me and standby/hibernation work correctly. Last week, I tested the portable functionality under Windows XP Home edition and I didn't notice any problems under Windows XP Home edition either.

Now I have Vista (recovery image) once again and it works well. Can I use FN + F3, F4 with no problems.
Please note that my Satellite A300 is permanently connected to the local network. I use it for my work.

The question is: have you noticed that on the first day?

  • Toshiba NB550-111 - no connection if the LAN cable is more than 2 metres

    Hello

My newly purchased Toshiba NB550-111(Windows 7 Starter Service Pack 1) has problems with the LAN card.
If the LAN cable is more than 2 meters, no relation to Allied Telesyn switch (no indicator led on the switch, 2 other desktop computers already connected). I tried not to connect in a different port (one used previously by one of desktop computers), no connection. I tried with 3 cables, still no results.

Cables (cat5E, so important) have been tested OK before with a cable Tester, and I use both of them without any problem with another 2 desktop computers at home. I set another cable (5 m long, newly purchased) and tested for connectivity. It works very well with the other two offices, no results with the netbook. I tried with adapter it works, I disabled ' energy efficient ethernet "NIC, still no connection properties page. It only connects if the cable is less than 2 meters. I tried to connect the netbook directly to the DSL router, still no connection with a longer cable.

The device is reported by windows as work very well, and the test Toshiba utility ends there is no problem. Windows I configured in the Control Panel, the Plan balanced for maximum performance in the power options, still no results.
    Any ideas, please?

Now maybe stupid question but what is with WLAN? You don t want to use WLAN?

  • Satellite A20-S103: LAN cable disconnected

    Hello

I can not access my LAN or internet.
    I use a Satellite A20-S103 with a Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet NIC

When I connect the Lan cable to the LAN port, the message "LAN Cable" disconnected.
The same message is displayed using connectivity doctor ConfigFree.

I have changed several cables, used cables that worked on other computers and the message still there and no access to the router/modem.

Near the LAN port LEDs are not lightning (or orange or green, no)

I already read messages here in the forum (and other forums) and I can't get the ethernet card works.

Do you think the problem is with the card or the operating system.

    Can you help me?
    Sorry for my English

First, check to see if the network card has been recognized in the Device Manager.
Under network adapters, you should see the LAN card.

If there is a yellow exclamation point near network card then the driver has not been installed correctly or there is another serious error.

In the first case I recommend the withdrawal of the LAN card from the Device Manager and after new reboot, you should try to reinstall the driver downloaded from the Toshiba page!

In addition, you must set TCP/IP parameters automatically because the router assigns the IP address automatically.

Please check and report the results

    Good luck

  • PROTECTED M800 auto boot up after connected with lan cable

    Hi all

I have a problem with my laptop Toshiba Portege M800. I decided to connect a lan cable directly on the cell phone instead of using the wireless feature. However, when I shut down the laptop, it will automatically start upward. But after I unplug the lan cable and stop working properly. Can I know the config to make the laptop does not auto boot up after I closed the laptop with the lan cable connected to it.

    Hello

I think that the boots mobile upwards because the wake on LAN in the BIOS option is enabled
Please disable this option (in BIOS), save the changes and restart the device

    Then test this new!

That's what I have to type the command ipconfig/all.  I tried to reinstall drivers recvoery as Manager, but no results. It worked without problem until now

    @anshu645

Home networks typically use a form any of 192.168.x.x

    For example:

    192.168.1.14

    Found in your example:

    192.16. 137.1

    Also found:

    Autoconfiguration IPv4 address. . : 169.254.218.171

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I suspect that the installer with your home network router is misconfigured and the network can't find a viable (useful) DNS address to use for the purpose of ISP Internet Service (ISP) connection.
