My Tecra M5 goes into sleep/hibernation mode without problem, but after a few minutes will start up again without prompting. Ive tried to change the power settings but have failed. Someone knows something about this problem? -mgh2k

Did you check Wake up on LAN option in the BIOS? This option is disabled?

    Hi, can anyone help?

I have a new Satellite U300-144 accompanying the Vista home 32-bit preinstallation. I have a problem, he wants to come to the sleep/hibernation mode, and my clear blue power is always on standby/hibernation mode. I hold the power button to restart the computer and then I get a message of illegal closure because I don t shutdown right.

I tried to upgrade the BIOS later for my model and the n t the problem, then I tried to upgrade to Vista Ultimate t doesn't help either. I installed all the drivers and everything works real well.

A colleague using me U300 Office. I asked him to check the extended sleep/standby option and he reported that everything works correctly. He always uses the factory settings and only one update is added value package. He kidnapped the former and installed latest version of the Toshiba download page.

Have you installed latest PPVS too?

  • Tecra A2 won't come out of standby

My Tecra A2 laptop is not from standby mode several times.
I had to remove the battery for a few minutes and replace new until it works again.
    Ideas and suggestions appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Already updated the BIOS?
On multiple machines, the BIOS update has solved these problems standby.
You should compare the BIOS installed on the laptop with the BIOS available on the page.
I think that there should be a more recent version.

  • How will we know when new version of LR comes out, that is, one without all the problems to import the latest version?

I had to go back to a previous version because of the terrible interface simplified to import. Us CC will announce when they solve this problem, as they promised they would be?

You will receive an email once the update would be released.

  • standby, hibernation mode.

my computer will go to sleep / hibernate without put me there.  will not come out of Standby / Hibernate unless I turn off the cpu.  Don't let even power down of the cpu.  tried to reset the default values in the setting of such power as suggested in the forum.  did not work.

What make and model ask you questions on. It could be as simple as getting into the BIOS and the quest for performance, or the Management tab.

  • External hard drive always autoplays when Windows comes out of sleep

I put a new computer together and hava an annoying problem.  I have a Seagate external hard drive plugged into the usb port 3.  Every time Windows comes out of sleep, AutoPlay starts for the reader.  I used before this drive on my old build with this issue, although it was plugged into a usb port 2.

    I am currently using Windows 7 Professional x 64.

It's just an annoyance, not a disaster!

    Thank you.

Whenever the computer goes to sleep, the USB ports and all internal devices such as Bluetooth are turned off. When the computer comes out of standby mode, these devices are switched on. Once it is done with the USB ports, the connected device is also recognized as a new device and then autoplay starts. It is therefore normal.

If you don't want autoplay, will start-> type autoplay--> press on enter. Remove the tick of Use AutoPlay for all media and devices. Click Save.
  • Tecra M5 - will not be in hibernation or standby to standard Select-Bay drive inserted

My Tecra M5 passes not in standby or sleep mode when it is selected in the menu start/stop. This is only a problem when the standard Toshiba CD player is inserted in select Bay. Once removed, it will be put into hibernation. Certainly this isn't something you should do every time?
    Any ideas?

I think that you are the first person who says something like that. Is the STRANGE empty when you try to use standby or Hibernation mode?

In any case, it's really strange question. Certainly, something like that shouldn't happen. Have you noticed that since the first day? How long do you use your Tecra? Is there a similar situation when you use FN + F4 or FN + F3 keycombination?

  • Auto erasing in pro SSD comes from standby/hibernation mod.

    Hallo! Help me)

I'm on macbook pro 13 "2011 i5. So I bought ssd to upgrade my mac. These are the 128 GB plextor m6pro. I cloned all the disk system ssd. Also I bought optibay, I broke my hard drive cable, so now the whole system works on optibay and ssd (without hard drive).

I have a serious problem. When I close the macbook and then open after a few minutes my system begins to work is not properly so I click on system reboot and Flash then folder with the question. I like this for 4 times, other times just system opens when I opened my macbook. Then I go to the internet-> disk utility boot and see this ssd is completely erased, no partition! I don't really know what to do.

It seems that he connects with optibay because it uses cd, mode standby/hibernation and sessions.

    Please help me! =)

I forgot to add, all the time, I used trimforce enabled, unless it's necessary information. Hope someone could help me.

  • Windows stops after it comes out of hibernation.

For some reason it stops when the computer comes out of hibernation. He does this only when I don't do anything with the computer immediately after that it go to the desktop. I guess like 5 minutes away she just stops while I am not. When I turn it back on, it always starts in the same condition it was when it entered hibernation. What could be the problem?

    It is by design.

When XP comes out of hibernation, XP expects it to be a reason he came out of hibernation.  If XP comes out of hibernation and can't find anything ' to do' it resumes hibernation by himself in 300 seconds (5 minutes).

This feature is built in case your system is equipped with the hibernation of some external event like a networking event, etc. and you don't want that, she will automatically return to hibernation.

If you move the mouse, press any on the keyboard, etc., which is considered to be something, so XP knows you're here, and it will not automatically resume the hibernation.

What do you see or you try to do something and hibernation occurs while you are busy?

You can read a little about the functionality of XP here:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318355

If you don't like the way it works, I know only a workaround solution that is to your system from a shortcut on the desktop or in hibernation, and then using a third party application batch file so that when XP comes out of hibernation, the mouse movement is simulated is enough to satisfy XP thinking that any human being moved the mouse and it will not rehibernate.

I can tell you a way to do it if you are interested... after the understanding that there is really nothing wrong.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • When my PC comes out of hibernation I get a message that "settings have been automatically changed to cause low-memory for operation Aero"

    * - Original title - Win7 settings

This is related to other issues on Win7 Aero performance. I have a Core i5 processor 2310 2.9 GHz CPU and a videocard from ATI (AMD) Radeon HD 6570 (I don't know the exact specifications but minimum memory for this model is 512 MB). Well, this should be enough to use Aero. However, when my PC comes out of hibernation, I get a message that the settings have been automatically changed because of not enough memory for operation Aero. Why is it so?

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    2. is specific to hibernation question?

    3. What is the accurate and complete error message?

  • Satellite M30X-111 wake up from standby/hibernation mode

People, like many of you, I had the questionable connection DC problem and I solved this at the time of re - solder the wandering joint on the connector for the motherboard.

Everything was fine with the laptop until yesterday when I tried to get the machine to wake from standby / hibernation if it is when you close the screen) and now all that happens is that the blue light around the power button lights up, the CPU fan runs for about 5 seconds, the HARD drive light flashes once Maybe two times and the DVD briefly climb towers.

Also nothing happens... the screen is blank and the laptop is actually not from the occasional maelstrom of the fan.

Is it in any case to perform a reset of some sort to get it to snap it on hibernation? I have read up on this subject on various forums and have tried to start without memory, without the HARD drive and the DVD drive and still no life.

Any input is appreciated that I need this laptop to spring into life again.

    Thanks in advance

    Ground

    Hello

to wake up the machine, simply remove the battery and the AC and leave the machine for a few hours. After that, it should work again.
By the way: sometimes it s a good idea to do a biosupdate, because maybe the problem comes from the bios.

Please give some comments about your success... :)
