Tecra S2 instantly died - not in standby or hibernation

Hello

I ve got a new notebook from Toshiba Tecra S2. A few days, everything was fine. But now I'm facing a problem and Don t know how to fix.

I do some work (office, surfing, games) and plugged in and old power of my old laptop satellite 6000.

After 20 to 30 minutes, the laptop is instantly shuts down. Without warning, without comments, just the "CLACK" and the dead. If I start it again, the work is lost.

Energy options said: akku loads, while the power supply works. Is the old power supply the problem or is there another bug?

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks in advance
Joe

Hello

It's not easy to tell if the adapter is a problem. Does the problem occur with an original Tecra AC adapter?
Well, you should check the properties of the former Satellite adapter and compare with your original power supply. The power must be the same.

Is this a failure of hard drive, the screen failure or something else?

  • Tecra M10 - Sound does not work on Windows XP SP3

TECRA M10 sound does not work with Win XP SP3

    1. the drivers from the toshiba web site.
2 chipset drivers and audio drivers were reinstalled no luck,.
    3. no mute FN + Esc
    4. feature eat that all drivers ok

    Hello

If I understand your right all devices listed correctly in the Device Manager and you don t have yellow exclamation points?

Normally, for high definition sound cards, you need two patches from Microsoft:
    KB835221 and KB888111.
Normally, these patches are integrated into SP3 but it works only if you install the audio driver after SP3. So, if you have an older version of XP without SP3, you must update to SP3, all first and then install the display driver.

So in your case, you must delete the current sound driver and restart the laptop. Then use CCleaner to clean the registry and system files. Reboot the laptop. Then download and install the driver of his newest Realtek Hompage.

  • Satellite Pro A200GE-1F9 may not resume from standby or hibernation with SP1

    Hello

I recently used Windows Update to install SP1 vista on my laptop, but since this installation I can't resume from standby or hibernation. (Service pack has successfully installed - according to Windows anyway).

At the resumption of his sleep, I get a blank screen.

    During the recovery from Hibernation, I receive a STOP error message: + Stop 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x82F11020, 0x9A9D9714, 0x00000000) + caused by * Classpnp.sys*.

After checking these forums, I have seen that Toshiba does not support SP1 + what is accurate? +

+ * If so when/how we will notify when Toshiba released a "patch" for compatibility Vista SP1? I'm guessing that via personnel TEMPO? *. +

Before installing SP1, I installed all the updates (from Microsoft and Toshiba) and had no problems; all the drivers are up to date.

Thanks for any answers in advance.

I guess that this happens because of a problem of compatibility between some pilots and SP1

    > After checking these forums, I saw that Toshiba does not support SP1 is that correct?
    Yes it's true.

    > If Yes, when and how will notify us when Toshiba released a "patch" for compatibility Vista SP1? I'm guessing that via personnel TEMPO?
I think that there should be information on the Toshiba driver page, support page or we will receive some information of Toshiba through applications of Tempo.

    We'll see

Hi - my Tecra M5-103 does not recognize my 4 GB SD card, could someone tell me if this size chart is supported in this machine please?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I didn't find any official information on SD compatible card sizes for this laptop but I think that card 1 GB and 2GB SD could run without any problem.

The 4 GB SD card is definitely not supported.

If you want to use these huge sizes of SD card, you could buy an external drive of All in.
These devices are not expensive and you can connect and use via the USB interface.

When I try to switch to the standby screen becomes black, but power light gets not "Brown" as it should. It is blue. From time to time, HDD light flashes also.

I tried to reinstall Windows twice, but it does not work every time. Once, I installed the drivers in some are specific as well as I did the job. But unfortunately I had to reinstall XP once more, and I do not remember that I should install the drivers.

After Installing Win XP, you must update the BIOS to the XP version.
You should check the page European driver of Toshiba. There are BIOS for Win XP.

After the BIOS update you reinstall Windows XP, the latest status update and install all Toshiba drivers and utilities.

  • BSOD on Satellite A200 - 1 m 8 after the release of the standby or hibernation mode

    Hey...

    I have a laptop: Toshiba Satellite A200 - 1 m 8 OS: Win Xp Sp3

After taking over my computer in standby or hibernation, I got the blue screen "appeal of dysfunction - parity error - hardware your... provider etc..." »

I checked my GPU drivers updates and checked the memory RAM models, but all seem ok.
I also put the count to run with the base of msconfig drivers but wtihout any positive results.

Any idea what the problem might be?

    ....

    Hello

As far as I know on the Satellite A200 BIOS should be updated to the version of the BIOS Win XP if Win XP has been installed on the machine.

Update you the BIOS to the version of Win XP? If this is not the case, this->.

I searched a bit on the pages of knowledge of MS for some details about this error and found this page:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB; EN-US; q222973 &

Microsoft means that this error could be related to the failure of hardware.

This could be fair and I think that in this case, you must contact the ASP in your country to verify the keyboard and the touchpad.
Maybe the parts should be replaced.

    See you soon

    Hello

You are able to boot up the laptop and start the Windows operating system?
    If not, try this;
Remove the battery, disconnect the adapter.
You will have to wait awhile, about 2-3 hours.
    Then reconnect the two parts.

But if you are able to boot up the laptop, but if the standby and hibernation mode still doesn't work, then you should try to reinstall new OS.
In most cases, these questions are associated BONES.
For this I recommend to use the HARD drive recovery mode.

Not all computers have power (standby or Hibernation) management options.  Therefore, the first step is to check if your computer hardware supports the management of the power supply (or ACPI). Check the user manual (if you have one).

Then, you will need to enter the BIOS Setup menu.  The manual can provide instructions.  If this is not the case, start and press the F10 key - BEFORE loading Windows.  Computers are different, so if F10 does not work, try again using ESC, F12 or F9.

The BIOS settings are different, then the following options may, or may not be available.
If the option is available, check the power management settings and make sure that the power plan has been activated.
If the options are available, select standby mode (S3) and Hibernate (S4)
Save the changes and exit the BIOS Setup.

    Startup in Windows
    Click Start / run
    Type "cmd" (without the quotes)
    Click OK
At the command prompt, type ' powercfg /Hibernate on "(without the)
(quotation marks).  NB.  There is a space between powercfg and / hibernation.
    Press the return key.
    Type "exit".
    Press the return key.

    Open Control Panel
    Click on Power Options
    Select the Hibernate tab
Activate Hibernate implementation and click OK.

  • Cursor starts moving across the screen from left to right after the wake up the computer from standby or hibernation

    Original title: cursor goes wild

My PC to 'wake up' sleep/hibernate, the cursor initially moving across the screen from left to right, in which window is open, destroy all the document is on the screen. I force Windows to close. How to solve this other than turning off standby/hibernation?

Looks like the cursor of the mouse is very sensitive when the computer comes out of standby or hibernation.
I suggest that you go in the mouse properties and lower the sensitivity and see if that helps.
You also need to update any driver mouse if possible.

Let us know if that helps.
