• Test alignment page rejects PSC 1510, continues to waste my ink, need of a workaround

  My COPS that did not last time I installed a new ink cartridge, but now it prints a test page, but then rejects the print page, saying incorrect page has been placed in it, but this is the page that it just printed. He offered to let me start the alignment, but when I press the scan button it flashes for a moment and nothing happens, I have to stop the printer, unplug the USB, back on the power, let him print a new page, then only scans the new page, so he rejected once again, regardless how I put the paper in. It's just a waste of ink and paper, the thing print perfectly well. I want a work around for this, or a free supply of replacement ink cartridges from HP, because that's all just ridiculous, these cartridges are expensive and here my printer used for nonsense every time it is consumed, what's the point of owning the thing if it consumes all of the ink by itself?

  The alignment page requires that the colour and black cartridges are correctly print.  The page prints correctly?  If this is not the case, either the color or the black print cartridge will require cleaning or replacement.

  My all-in-one HP 6400 watch failed "test alignment, refer to the documentation for the device.  I use the regular size color cartridge and black size X cartridge.  The printer performs alignment test after almost every print job.  The color ink cartridge is low, and the black cartridge is full.  Anyone able to help or tell me where to find 'the device documentation '?  Thanks, Dochorner

  Hi dochorner,

  Low color ink may cause failure of the alignment.  I suggest that you replace any low ink and try again, alignment.

  First of all; Thanks in advance for your help. Many hours spent in research without result. I am currently running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 on an Acer Aspire X 3200-64 - bit. Recently, I ran a software (don't remember the name) which removes the "bloatware" preinstalled on computers in large areas. Be applied semi-ordinateur, I tend to exceed my capacities and I believe I also deleted a file that is necessary for the systΦme can recognize the printers... Or... Adobe associate... Or... not as likely, a question of IE. How far am I curious.

  Ran 'bloatware' remover - next print attempt failed (assuming that I deleted something I have not) what follows is a list of symptoms.

  -Always visible as a printer available and all administrative options are available and seem to work fine with the ready state.

  -Print the test/alignment page still works

  -When you try to print from the internet the following message is displayed: "Before you can run a task related to printers, install a printer"... printers are always shown as ready and available , but the option is grayed out

  -Adobe crashes when you attempt to print as soon as you press the printed confirmation - "Adobe has stopped working".

  -Outlook shows "print is not available. There is no printer installed. ' - although, apparently, they are installed and functional drivers

  -Ran that all printer related error utilities that I could find... spools are beautiful, updated version, correct 64-bit drivers, etc..

  -Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer - no luck

  -Borrowed from someone other printer Dell - no luck... which leads me to believe it is some part in communications hardware

  I can't understand it. My next step is reformatting the system whole darn. :) Your guidance is appreciated!

  Repair IE8 (IE7) and IE9

  For the Dell 924 printer...

  First run delete print jobs to remove all print jobs stuck in the queue.

  Unplug the printer.

  Download and run the patch (cleaning printer utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

  Restart your computer. Make sure that the printer is deleted. Driver Manual printer removal

  Download and install the 64 bit Vista drivers. You will get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at the moment (power on)

  Do not forget that firewalls and anti-virus programs will block communications.

  If everything does not work, you may need to run the system restore both before running this program.

• OfficeJet 4315 "cartridge error - refer to the device documentation.

  I have an Officejet 4315 - received the flashing! (orange light) and the message 'cartridge error-see you in the documentation for the device. Use new cartridges HP 21 and 22. Took out them, inspected, cleaned, etc.

  Cannot print page test/alignment.

  Uninstalled and reinstalled printer software. No luck. Flashing! just got back after having disconnected and uninstall/reinstall.

  How to solve this error?

  Remove the black print cartridge and keep only the color cartridge to verify the message. Now remove the color cartridge and only insert the black cartridge in and check the message. This should give an idea on what cartridge has a problem.

• Poor quality HP 7520 and horizontal lines

  I recently bought a HP Photosmart 7520, some printed photographs and was very happy with the results.  I was already part of a series of photographs printed approximately two weeks ago and decided to print another.  The result was poor with horizontal lines, getting more lowest wide printing.   I feel like a sheet of foolscap.  I went in thinking tests align printer and print quality verification and they looked very good.  Another test print is perhaps worse.

  The printer reports that my ink black print, not the photo, became weak.  All the other inks were very good.

  I checked your question and answers and therefore decided to uninstall and reinstall the printer I have this week had an upgrade to broadband and thought that there is a problem.  This task achieved I did the self test as requested and the result was first class, but it was of course on the smaller size paper.

  An impression more away from the same photograph was worse before she looked like a negative, but in color and with only skin correct tones.

  Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the print quality of your print output.  I see that you said that you have recently purchased this unit. I was wondering if you are still using the configuration supplied with the printer cartridges? If so, please note that these ink cartridges are designed only for a limited number of printing just to set up the printer and if you do photo printing, photo, use a good amount of ink. Please also note that HP printers have built in surge protector and if you have the printer connected to a power strip/bar, the printer will not get all the power it needs to function properly and cela could be another reason why you are having quality problems. Here is a document that explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

  Please respond with an operating system that you run and I'll be happy to find more resources about it if the steps that I have outlined have not solved the problem.

  I have a 8500 all in one machine, and the book don't shoot through properly which results in the image being biased about the book and, sometimes, the paper is torn.  I use a Mac and Safari.  This error has just started and I did not any changes.  I tried to run several tests (align the print heads, etc.) without success.

  I also tried to download the PrintDoctor (or whatever it's called) it came as gobbly * beep *.  Please notify.  Thank you.

  Could be a number of things...

  There are a number of Officejet Pro 8500 has in this series:

  • The printer I took showed for the MAC OS that is two updates of firmware that are recent - you could check for your printer model and operating system and see if it's the case for your configuration.  If you find that you need the updates, then you could apply those.
  • It could be 'sticky' - dirt and tiny debris can get caught on the rollers.  This will cause the printer paper stuck in the printer, even when there are no other reasons for a 'jam '.   A printer cleaning kit can help in this situation - you can find these stores in most office and you can order the printer cleaning kits online.
  • You can try to reinstall the software of full functionality for your printer.  With the rest of the steps, cleaning, verification of the software, firmware update, etc., this may solve the issue of the issue of "sticky paper.
  • The paper may be at fault - even without having changed anything - paper is not all equal.  When it comes down to it, if the paper is not 'white', bond # 24, American manufacturing, then at some point, the printer may balk.  This can happen when the printer is only less than "polluted" or ink is less than perfect.  No, it should not be so Rouxel sensitive, but it can happen.  If all this fails, try a new ream of paper as described.
  • You can try to 'reset' the printer.  In itself, it is less likely to fix anything - in conjunction with other measures, it can be useful.
  • There is a wealth of information for this type of printer to your Web site - manuals are very good and can hold a key bit of help to point you in the right direction.

• Action of printhead Inkjet cp1160

  Hello. I have a HP inkjet cp1160. In the past year half yellow, magenta and finally stopped printing blue print heads. So I cleaned them - soaked, water through the nozzle followed air compressed to get out of the water. I've never had water flow remove the background so was still little ink in them. Back in the printer, they worked very well. I noticed on the alignment and diagnostic page that prints automatically once the print heads have been resettled black was a little weak so I cleaned the print head too. Same method, but all the ink went out then ran water nearly transparent and then blown with compressed air. Back in the printer, I have no black and the auto/test alignment page comes in white. The page of diagnosis of the Toolbox of said maintenance all the print heads are OK, but there is no black sample where there should be. The text on the page looks black, but is actually a green very very dark.

  I'm not sure what the mechanism is, in addition to gravity to get the ink to the ink through the print head tank, but I like the impression that he is a kind syphon/vacuum action. I also have a hunch that out of all of the ink black print head (and water), I interrupted this action with the air in the printhead. This sounds like a correct diagnosis and y at - it a way to get the empty action going again? Thank you.

  It does not appear that someone else has this problem, but I'll still post my 'solution' here.

  I figured out that you must save the file before the chip stick another table in the document. I don't know if it is a bug or if the developers of Framemaker on purpose, but if I do not save the file after a single table smart sticking the next table will look like this:

  which, of course, causes an error in the structure, and nothing about the content of the table gets stuck.

  So, in short! Nothing wrong with the code, but you must save the framemaker file after pasting in a table/before pasting into a new table.

  If after the reset, the guard printing alignment page, let the print once, disconnect the usb cable from the printer, put the page into the scanner and press the scan button. This will align the printer and it should not print the page again.
