• Update oracle 10201 for the last 10 to apply CPU patches or 11g, which one?

  We have HP ux server with 5 cases on it. DBs are 10201.
  
  Never applied security patches. Now I think to upgrade to 10205 to apply the latest patch of cpu.

  I apply Oracle Critical Patch to the databases. This test should be performed after application of CPU and by whom?

  (1) I assume you have weaker environments (dev, test, put in scene/QA in addition to production). I also assume that you will apply that patches for smaller environments before production and that you will, therefore, make the most of your tests in environments below.

  (2) what to test and test depends on the Organization and the application. At a minimum, I would suggest running your suite of automated test for each application on the basis of data in each lower environment when patches are applied. According to the criticality of the application and coverage of your automated test suite provides, you may have additional testers (which may be part of a group of separate test, may be part of the development group or may be professional users) manually validate some key business functions applications provide access.

• R12.1.3 - Patch Wizard is no longer work after upgrade CPU

  R12.1.3 on RH Linux x86_64.

  Just upgraded my environment R12.1.3 to access the Jan 2013 CPU level and decided to install the Patch Wizard to see what he shows now.

  Previously, I had to apply the patch "10629956 - Assistant of Patch Oracle Applications" to get the patch Wizard to work with our proxy server.

  Initially, I just went ahead and applied that the correction for my new config but still could not overcome this error:

  Validation error. Please check the fields below.

  Unable to connect to Metalink. Please enter a valid userid and password Metalink.

  Please also check if the Web Proxy configuration information are correct.

  
  

  Now, after further investigation I see that there is a patch to update:

  Patch 16357991 to get the latest version of Patch Wizard in Oracle E-Business Suite (version 12.1)

  This Patch has been replaced.    Reason 16357991 included in 11071638

  I applied patch 11071638 but I still have the same validation error.

  Plots of pre - req R12. BDM B.Delta.3 [9239089] and R12. ATG_PF. B.Delta.3 [8919491] had been applied.

  I still have an older instance that runs and patch Wizard works correctly with the same credentials and proxy server settings information there.

  So, how to solve this?

  After apply software version 10.1.0.4181 (size 6 MB) on my Q10, I can no longer send or receive text messages, pls help. At first, I thought that the text messages were only reduced, but I'm unable to send, receive or open any previous cat. I rebooted the device several times, including removing the battery. When you try to make a text message, system seems to be stuck on the last message received yesterday and I am unable to open the chat session, to answer, to compose. I can't dial any contact, neither able to receive text messages. PLs help!

  I removed my battery again, this time left aside for 5 minutes. SMS now works again. (previously about 2 min)

  However, the problem that I have been experincing, I had before, where I can not send sms message. I think I may have hit a hot key and basically does not allow you to send a message.   My opinion is that I would not try it because it is a SYS belonging to view and it seems that Oracle has not provided a safe method for this.

  Yes, you can!

  MRUA 10.1.4 establish patterns for identity management. The pattern of the portal is always 10.1.2.0.2 if I remember correctly. The 10.1.2.3 patch game contains an update of the repository as well, but this is true for the portal only. If your deposit of Portal 10.1.2.0.2, it will be the patch to 10.1.2.3. If it is already upgraded to 10.1.4.0.0, it will be the patch to 10.1.4.2.

  Note that you can also use the ACE 10.1.2.3 patch set to patch the binary files only.

  I am applying the patch 17529626 on platform EBS R12.1 Linux X 86-64. So I am facing the following problems:

  I answer 'Yes' to continue such patch recommended in some other discussions of Oracle.

  2: after spending the step that precedes the adpatch blocks in the following lines:

  IMPOSSIBLE: folder zx_import_tax_lines_gt.xdf worker 2.

  So I checked the two tables for these columns:

  DESC AP. AP_HOLDS_ALL: LAST_UPDATED_BY NOT NULL Number (15) exists

  DESC ZX. ZX_IMPORT_TAX_LINES_GT: Attribut1 VARCHAR2 (150) exists

  Now, I'm confused and I don't know how to solve this problem, please help?

  In addition, I tried to restart the worker through adctrl, they have been restarted but still runing for a very long time!

• Use of high by FORMS (9000 port) when you first login after the CPU connection network

  Oracle E - biz: 12.1.3

  Database: 11.2.0.3

  OPERATING SYSTEM: AIX 6.1

  We applied the last week we have applied CPU July 13 for the first time in our environment Ebiz.

  Patches applied:

  11.2.0.3 SPU database Patch 16742095

  Apps: R12.1 16772121

  10.1.3 home: 9173038

  10.1.2 home: 12837860

  After the application of the hotfix, when the user is connected for the first time, FORMS cmdlet takes too long to open, and during this time network use was very high.

  This happened for the first connection, we have more than 300 + users and recording everything at the same time, created a failure almost because of the high network utilization.

  
  

  Guys, any reason for this behavior. This will happen for the future application of CPU?

  I'm not sure whether the cache can be copied from one machine to another and the same process, a lag in time should be tolerated in this case that it is reasonable.

  But anyway, you can also lift an SR to check whether the technical support engineers can provide a workaround solution.

  I am applying patch 981770 to my recently updated 12.1.3 in environment and I see the following errors in the log of automatic configuration file. Any suggestions on how I can fix this would be greatly apprechiated

• Loss of HDV support after the latest patches to Adobe...

  Recently, I applied the latest patches that have been released for AE, organization and a few other applications in the master suite and after that the patches have been applied I lost the abilty to edit HDV in the body and EI.  In the body, it in fact grayed out option to turn off the product, which makes it appear like it has disabled somehow my product, but in AE the deactivate option is always there. I read to you run the trial HDV version is not supported, so I think it somehow disabled my products.  Anyone facing this problem?

  Your problem may be related to this issue, mentioned in the blog of Todd Kopriva, Region of interest.

  If you have downloaded the trial after effects 9.0, and then updated to After Effects 9.0.1 and then activated the application with a serial number after purchasing a license (all in exactly in that order), then the After Effects 9.0.2 update will fail to update your content to third parties, such as the Cycore (CC) effect plug-ins. It seems that uninstalling the third-party content and then restarting the application will cause third party content updated to install correctly.

  Please note that the support for HDV, AVCHD and other formarts based on MPEG relies on technology under licensed by third-party, and which are installed as part of the package of third-party content developers. So I would definitely start by trying this.
