The 320 GB HARD drive work in the WWAN Bay?

The connector inside the WWAN Bay will accept the 320 GB Travelstar HDd, which comes as the issue of the standard on the X 220?

you mean mSATA cards, they are the SSD hard drive that fits into the slots mPCIe on the laptop, which is supported by the X 220.

1 TB Toshiba external hard drive.

It works on my laptop that runs Windows XP bot not on the laptop that is running Windows 7, if the hard disk works. It also works on Vista.

My Seagate (320 GB) hard drive works on the Windows 7 laptop - so the USB ports are not defective.

When I plug the hard 1 TB drive that it appears not on the Manager list of devices, or the title of the disk management, still green light from the disk hard flashes and lights up like it normally does when plugged into the laptop XP.

I have read all the forums and tried the following: edited the Registery values for mass storage devices USB (deleted and lower filters);  Edited the "Usbstor" INF file as suggested check, the Toshiba site for any compatibility issues, and they have suggested that it is a problem of windows 7, given that the player works on other platforms.

Because the disc is not visible in device etc Manager I can't try the other options.

    Any input would be appreciated

I found the problem to be with the controller Toshiba uses on their external hard drives.

I removed the hard drive Toshiba of the carcass, put it in an envelope of SeaGate (thus using a SeaGate controller) and it worked fine.

To my knowledge there is no software around HD Ext Toshiba and W7 work. Take the HD out of the envelope, buy a cheap eSATA to USB connector & problem solved.

    Hello

You will need to reverse the clean boot, as it is either incidental compared to
the real cause of the problem. What, where you try to fix initially using the cleanboot?

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If so you can try the configuration - control panel
The Device Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click the driver UPDATE - then
Right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is
CTRL + ALT + DEL and the processes tab find EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - and then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

This model I have has a hard drive of 250 GB installed, could I pull it out and say put a hard drive of 320 place. Thanks for your help.

The laptop supports a SATA controller so it shouldn't t be a problem!

  • Hard drive works 100%

I have an Inspiron N5010 A04, OS Windows 10 Home.  The hard drive works 100% for minutes at a time as shown in the Task Manager Performance page, the player lists that ST9500325AS 500.11 GB, is there something I can do to reduce the amount of time the HD works 100%?  Either way when I try to run Diagnostic Dell programs the system runs to get your Tests and then stops.  Any idea on this?  Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the reply.  He does it all the time and it is not an update.  I can recognize update.  The pc would work fine.   The hard drive begins to run 100% and continues for several minutes then goes back to normal operations.  I check with the Task Manager and you can watch it work 100%.  I don't do any resource heavy operations at a time.

  • Portege M400 unable to find the new 320 GB HARD drive

    Hello

I'm moving my 80 GB HARD drive to a new WD 320 and research questions. Although I've updated the Bios with the latest version of the disk hard is not down to any operating system when it is in the main HARD drive Bay. The weird thing is completely visible in the removable Bay. Is this a configuration issue, I am missing or is the machine not reconise the 320 GB drive because that is the essential motivation?

Any help or pointers would be great

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy

In my opinion, your new HARD drive cannot be recognized because of the size of the HARD drive.
The 320 are simply too. I think that the laptop would be able to use a 100 GB or 120 GB of HARD drive but the 320GB are not supported.

So change your disk of 320 GB to a smaller size and try again.

    Good luck

  • Will be the 500GD Seagate HARD drive work in my HP G61-321NR

Yes it will be as a sata interface & size 2.5 "& 9,5 mm or less in height."

I would consider a SSD will be speed big shot in the arm to your machine, to know you can also use 2 disks on this model by sliding the Bay is of dvd player do not use much & using a shopping cart of hard drive bay that you can buy online for less than $10 if the options are very flexible. The dvd player can be put in external usb caddy & they only around $16.

How much RAM you have on your system? (Right click on "My Computer"-> properties)

As a general rule, Windows XP does not work well if you have less than 1 GB or more of RAM.  What usually happens is that your RAM capacity is exceeded leading to overflow on virtual memory (the drive) to compensate for the need of RAM in the computer.  This causes your system to beat on your hard drive and slow down your system.

If this is your problem, the options are to increase the RAM on your system or decrease the non-essential programs that launch at startup on your computer using a tool like Autoruns.

  • Share a lightroom catalog - Does the catalog and images on external hard drive work?

I manage a small part of the flow of images overall of the client by updating their prescence web basis with new works and relabelling/download earlier works. I believe that this requires the catalogue and the library of images that will be hosted on an external hard drive that can travel between us two. We work both on PC with LR 5.3.

The workflow should look like this:

Customer uploads new images on external hard drive and import LR

    'ClientCatalog' is created

Flags of pickaxes and creates a Collection of those Picks

Hard disk is handed to me when I opened "ClientCatalog".

    Make changes suggested in pictures

    Add detailed tags and metadata

Download on various media sites, social and Web sites

return the drive to the customer

Is there a potential problem with this workflow? My assumption is that if everything is housed on the external hard drive, so there is no worries for the catalog with all updates. Can someone find out about potential problems, that I might have forgotten? Are there of "security protocols" you would add in to this workflow (not to mention that everythign on another hard disk mirroring) which would you suggest?

    Photwell wrote:

I came across this problem with my own catalog a few weeks ago. I plugged my external hard drive into a different USB port and everything was gone.

Not gone, just addressed. It can be re-addressed as required. I think that's enough on MacOs, to name the drive. Under Windows, the details vary depending on the version of the OS (Google for instructions), but it's for Win7:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/Windows7/HT/change-drive-letters-Windows-7.htm

and it's a good idea to assign a drive letter quite a bit more later in the alphabet, to restrict the possibility of ever finding this already taken letter. For example, it might be X: to HDD external , or P: for Plug in car, or anything that makes sense to you...

After having done this, the re-start of Lightroom and open the catalog, images will be at the first go in offline mode (previously used location not found). To get online, it will be necessary to re - browse the folder parent for all your image files, to reflect its new location under the new reference in car. That done, the location information of catalog for all images and subfolders located under this parent folder, automatically updated. If that parent does not appear in the list of records of LR, you right-click and choose "show Parent". Display LR then reorganizes to reflect this real hierarchy.

    Best regards, PR

  • post on the renaming of file hard drive works partially

I have a set of photos to be published that is created from various sources with all the various photo naming conventions.

To get a game with consistent naming, which is consistent with the sequence of the photos that I created, I use a publication on hard drive that uses a filename with the serial number.

To my surprise, that this name is legitimately applied to 3 photo 5 sources, but the photo of 2 other sources are published with their original name.

What could be the cause of this?

    I use Lightroom 5.7

I've found what makes images differs from the others where the name change goes well.

All images where the name change goes well (according to the specification of the function of publication) are in the same directory.

All images where the change of name does not lie in a subdirectory in this directory.

The publishing service is supposed to create a new directory and publish all photos with the format {name} - {sequence number}.

I expect to name of the map to be the target of card; This list is the mapping of source name. As only the name of the lowest card is used, the pictures in the card under get a different prefix.

I propose that the pictures in the subdirectory level. This should solve the problem.

so, I was wondering if I can put the "itunes library" file on each laptop, the "itunes media" while on the external hard drive?

My idea is to use an external hard drive whenever I want to use the laptop. so I don't need to broadcast through library icloud music. Moreover, I need an external hard drive and itunes library to work on pc and mac.

    Cheers!

See make a library of portable split. You will need either a for OS X NTFS driver or driver for HFS + for Windows in order to use the drive with an operating system. Also note that there is a delay when you first launch after passage of one BONE to the other.
