The battery is not satellite A105-s4364

I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite A105-s4364 (winXP) year. 6 months later, my battery won't charge and no power at all. I even if the battery is bad, so I just use my a/c. 2 months later, I bought a new battery (it has 40% of the power when I buy).

So I install the new battery and the battery light on, I am that everything will be ok. 4 hours later, I disconnect the a/c, the a/c & battery light flashing and still says 40% of the battery power. This means that only a not charge my battery.

So I went to the Web from Toshiba site, they said the need to update the Bios to correct the problems. So I installed the new Bios software. But it does not solve my pc.

Still does not and can not turn on my pc with battery, that means it will not turn on if I just plug the a/c (before no need to turn any time with battery).

What I do now, first install my battery, the power light and connect the a/c, but the light will be off about 2 seconds, so I need to plug the a/c in 2 sec.
The very bad, it is does not charge my battery, but my pc needs the battery to turn on and now the battery has only 11% of the power.

I don't know anyone use Toshiba, so nobody can't help me to charge the battery.
Anyone know how to fix or has the same happen b4?
Very needing help here, hope you guys understand what I have said here.

Thank you very much!

Hello

> 2 months later, I bought a new battery (it has 40% of the power when I buy).
It's very strange because of my knowledge, the new battery must be completely empty.
In any case, according to the details in your ad, I think supply electronic books could malfunction.

It's very strange:
> What I do now, first install my battery, the power light and connect the a/c, but the light will be off about 2 seconds, so I need to plug the a/c in 2 sec. The very bad, it is does not charge my battery, but my pc needs the battery to turn on and now the battery has only 11% of the power.
Usually, you should be able to turn on the laptop using the AC adapter only.
The battery should t be necessary and you should be able to use the laptop without the battery also.

I think that the battery and the adapter must be checked first place and if the two parties would be authorized technician must check the electronic power supply.

Sorry, but that's all I can suggest at this time.

  • AC adapter does not work if the battery is not removed on my Satellite?

A few days as my Satellite does not use electricity from the adapter: he wants to only use the battery (so after a few hours, it stops).

Connect and disconnect the power supply when the notebook is on or before restarting, it doesn't change anything (if the battery is always in its place). The power adapter, cable spines,... seems in good conditions and I don't think they have problems because when I remove the battery and restart the laptop, the Satellite finally understands that he must use the power supply and not the battery. Then I can put the battery back in its place and load it... But if I unplug the AC adapter, the circus re - start.

Is power off somewhere? Is there a place where you can choose: "always use the battery and not the power?

    I don't think so, it's a motherboard problem?

    Hello

It is not easy to say why it happens. For me, this looks like an electronic malfunction of power supply.
But it's only my suggestion to be 100% sure that some diagnostic tests are necessary.
But the battery is ok and AC adapter works as well as you suggested.
What you can do is to check your BIOS version and compare it with the BIOS that is available on the page. Is there a newer version, so you can try to update.
Note: Be careful! Bad BIOS and update wrong procedure can damage the laptop.

But if you use the latest BIOS, so I think it must be a hardware malfunction. In this case, the only way to find the bug is to ask the AEP from Toshiba in your country for help.

  • How can I disable the battery on my Satellite L50 - B - 1 HM?

    Hi friends,

I have a Toshiba Satellite L50 - B - 1 HM. In this model, the battery may not be withdrawn. I would like to know if I can turn off the battery in order to preserve the life of it.

Please help me with this question. It is important for me :)

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Marta

Unfortunately, this option is not available and you can't do that. to be honest I understand, but imagine you have an important work on your machine and suddenly power is interrupted for any reason any (disabled battery). In this case, you could lose your work.

In this case the battery is a kind of backup power.
Another thing is that the batteries used on laptops of today are not the same that we had 15 years before.
Don't think about it and have a fun with your machine. ;)

  • My laptop is plugged in, but the battery is not charging

My system is win7 Ultimate, 32-bit operating system. My laptop is Toshiba Satellite - C600 - 02L, processor: Intel (r) Pentium (R) CPU, P600 1.87 GHz, 1.87 GHz... I bought it about a year and eight months ago.

I noticed that the battery light is off. I checked the battery meter icon & he said the PC was plugged, but the battery was not in charge. In the Device Manager window, I found that a device was not working properly. The details of this device are:

    Device type: drivers Non Plug-and-Play

    Service name: MpKsl45a6e13d

This device is not present, is not working properly or is not all its drivers installed. (Code 24).

I don't know if this has nothing to do with the problem, but if so, what is the solution to this problem? Please help me solve this problem.

    Hi Ronnie,.

Thank you for your attention to this issue. Pls find below info from the battery.

    Battery: Battery information

    Rated capacity

    Full last Charge

    Concerning

    Hi Mustafa

This information shows that your battery has 62% of the original capacity left. Even if it's a little weak, it is not at a critical point where the battery should be the cause of all the problems. The typical Li-ion battery will last for 1 to 3 years.

I would recommend that you go to Toshiba Support forums and check to see if there is a utility to check the status of the material of the AC/charge circuit on this laptop. Here are a few links for your convenience.

  • How do the battery do not sliding of the laptop?

    Hello:

I replaced a new battery on DELL Latitude D620 the other day and found the battery often sliding laptop causing the "blackout" of DELL Latitude D620.  The cause is that the left side of the bottom of sliders of the laptop, no committed property,... most probably a stem was broken.

Any idea to keep the battery slide?

    Thank you

It seems that if the battery is not of the appropriate type for your computer or the computer's battery lock is broken.  Either it is a hardware problem and should be treated by a repair service approved by Dell or other reputable, trustworthy.

  • You will need to connect the battery, but lapptop now sign showing that the battery is not connected, so does not load.

You will need to connect the battery. until recently, all ok.  never use the laptop as a mobile, always on the wireless, but lapptop shows now sign that the battery is not connected so does not load.

I have a laptop which, so far, is always connected wireless when it is in use. I want to take a vacation, and notice a signal arrives that the battery is not connected and therefore does not load.  This has happened recently, although the battery never showed a 100% charge. can someone tell me how to connect the battery please.

Check that the battery is correctly installed. If it is then the problem is that the battery is exhausted, so you should buy a new battery.

  • Satellite A100-383 does not - the battery is not

    Hi all

I own a satellite A100-383 (PSAARE) that does not start when the battery is totally empty, or if I leave without the battery of the day to the next. The battery will charge not façade is and all the lights are off. I should always have a load on my battery and don't let not unplugged more than 2 days.

If for some reason, my battery was completely empty, Plug and unplug the power supply from the wall outlet would make all the lights increase and charge the battery again.

Unfortunately, I went on vacation and I forgot my pc unplugged and it does not charge or turn on. ? The headlights are off. Tried my dear old method to connect the unit several times with battery and without it with no luck... I could see a connection for a second or two, but I wasn't fast enough to plug in and they are off.

I would be so grateful to you all if you give me a help to put it on my pc. Once I have it on the load and back I'll buy a new battery for sure.

I look forward to reading your advice.

    Thank you all in advance!

  • Satellite A40 turn off once all cases the battery is not connected

I felt that my battery has something wrong and I do not use much. I seconded to work on current alternative. The strange thing when windows or linux or any bootable cd running after while the laptop is turned off. But when I entered under windows in safe mode, it is not turned off.

When I plugged the battery again the laptop works very well. I have the Satellite A40. Is this a problem in my power unit or there is a problem in the video card?

    Hello

It's not easy to say what could be wrong. The fact is that the laptop should work without any problem with and without the battery.
You said that this happens with any bootable CD but that this problem also occurs if the operating system has started?
However, I put t I think it happened because of the video card. This any sense doesn t.
It looks a bit like an electrical malfunction of the power supply. But it's not easy to tell without any trial. I think you should ask Toshiba service for assistance.

  • Satellite M70-147 - the battery does not recharge

    Hello

I have a problem with my battery, it seems that it does not re - pay.
First of all, please read the following:

-When I start the laptop with AC power plugged the battery seems to be charged to 100% according to the Toshiba Power Saver.
-When I remove the block AC power the display brightness goes down, because it goes to the battery, until here everything is normal. However, you do not see the percentage decreases, it remains 100% which means fully charged.
-After a few minutes, an audible alarm indicating that the battery is almost dead. When the alarm sounds the Toshiba Power Saver then indicates that percentage is about 6%.
-Then I reconnect the power supply and turn on the orange light showing that the battery is charging. The light orange he should be in charge, but the percentage remains at 6%. But after 10 minutes the percentage suddenly increases to 100% and the orange charging light turns off.
-When I turn off the laptop and reboot immediately after that the alarm is triggered, the Toshiba Power Saver says also that the battery is fully charged or 100%. This seems a bit odd.

So my question is: what is the problem with the battery? or is there something wrong with AC/DC adapter? could result in the fact that he does not seem to charge more. Or is there something wrong inside the laptop.

If anyone has an idea please let me know, thanks for now.

    I think I know what's wrong.
Your battery seems to be dead.
My old laptop battery can be used for about 2 min even it s fully charged.
It pays for 2 min, then it s completely empty.
Is nothing unusual as the battery slowly loses the own performance and it s just a matter of time where he died.
I don't need a new battery because I m using Notepad as compensation for my desktop PC and the laptop is always connected to the sector.

But if you need to use the battery, then you will need to replace it with a new one.

  • Satellite A30 - electric light flashes and the battery does not charge

    Hi guys,.

I have the model above and recently, when I plug in my power cord to the back of the laptop instead of the usual constant green light loading, the indicator flashes and the light orange low battery always flashes as well.

I have checked the plug, unplugged the power cord from the laptop and plugged back again but does not help. A few times it started loading so everything went well and now he again refuses to load.

Any suggestions how I can solve this will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Looks like a hardware problem

Usually if the power light blinks then it does not sound good because the LED provides an error code which can be read by a technician for laptop

But before you will contact the technician for laptop for help, try to do it:
Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter from the portable computer
Wait about 20-30 minutes and then reconnect the two parts.

Then try to turn on the laptop

If it doesn t help that it s time for the call of the ASP

  • The battery does not detect my Satellite A10

My laptop is old enough, as you can see, and I had some problems with my HARD drive several months ago, so I had to change it (HDD). Now I have a 'FUJITSU MHV2040AH' HARD drive. Since then, my laptop is still able to work using a battery, but it does not detect that.

It "thinks" that it is still connected to the adapter. And, in addition, he writes that 255% battery life remains. He continues to write, even when it is disconnected from the adapter, and when the battery is finished, the laptop just goes out, without any warning messages.

However, in fact the battery recharges when the laptop is connected to the adapter.
    What can advise you?

PS Sorry if my English is not good and there are a few errors. I am from Russia :)

I have big problems with my satellite A30 504... it does'nt see the HARD disk at startup, my only solution was to press the power button for many times so far.

My HARD drive is ok so I think that the problem comes from the cmos battery, but I do not know how to find out what type it is and how to replace.

(PS. Sorry my English, I'm not an English speaker)

    Hi Adrian

Battery CMOS is always placed in an uncomfortable position and to swap the battery of the device must be removed. If you didn t done this before please don t do this alone. One small mistake and you can damage a plastic cover of the unit.

I recommend contacting the service and allow them to do this for you. It costs a little, but you will be sure it will be done on the professional track. When the unit is disassembled it can also be cleaned of dust.

  • Question about the settings of the mouse on my Satellite A105

By changing the current definition of the parameter 'magnetize' to my checked unchecked to i.e mouse pointer active (and then selecting 'Apply' and 'OK') the function "align on" works OK initially

.. However, after restarting my laptop 'magnetize' is disabled and the box (in the settings) returns to be deselected.

I tried to fix the problem at the level of the registry by changing the SnapToDefaultButton value to '1', but the problem comes back even. I also installed Microsoft driver for the external mouse I use.

I also disabled the touchpad, which none have solved the problem. I think it could be a setting on the laptop that is causing the recommended turn off whenever I restart.

    Could you please advice?

Windows XP Edition family ed 2002
    Synaptic touchpad V6.2 (PS2 port)

    Hello

As far as I know, this option is part of the Microsoft mouse settings and it is really strange that something like that happen. If you use additional software for external mouse there is possibility of a kind of negative influence on the standard preinstalled stuff. Perhaps the same option persists in software pre-installed and both come across each other somehow. Sorry, but on this path it is not easy to say what can be the solution.

Have you had this problem before using the external mouse?
