"The disk in drive F is not formatted. You want to format it now? »

Hi, here is my problem:

I've been working on documents word on my laptop today and save on my USB key, no problem. But when I went to my laptop after on the break for an hour, I inserted my USB and the above message appears. All of a sudden, I can't open or access one of my files on the memory stick - that's happened? It came not with the name of the memory stick, just 'removable disk (F) '. When I right click the icon and check the properties, it is said there are 0 bytes used and the Rob is all blue.

I am really worried - if I lost all my files? If so how did it happen? Is there a way to recover my files? I format the drive? I am in a panic, because I'm a teacher and I prepared all my classes, I can't believe they simply disappeared, could someone help me please? I'm desperate, I don't know what to do.

Thank you

This kind of error occurs generally when the file system is bad or there is a virus. The safest thing would be to scan your disk for viruses.

Good luck.

  • "You must format the disk in drive J: before you can use it"

Says error message "You must format the disk in drive J: before that you can use" I have a removable USB storage drive that I always connected to my computer whenever I have download movies save disk space on my computer.  Now, he wants me to format this disk storage.  Also, where he used to qualify this drive as "Removable disk", it is not labeled as Local J: drive. I don't want to format this drive because it erases all my files and folders on removable USB storage drive.  Please help me.

    I had the same problem.
And I have a solution for you... The problem is that when you plug in your HD first, Windows 7 install your hard drive and associate it with only this USB port (whether the USB port "4") If you want to use (HD) again, you need to plug it into the same USB port (USB port '4'), where it was first installed. It's stupid! But that's how it worked with my HD.

Try all USB ports you have on your PC.

    Good luck.

Hope this has been helpful. : D

PS: the same problem is with all the damage that connect you to your pc.

    1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

    Hi LauraCzarnecki,

    1. when exactly you get this message?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

IType.exe is a process belonging to the Microsoft Intellitype keyboard software. This can probably occur due to corruption in the registry for the key intellitype.

If you have any IntelliPoint or IntelliType software on the system installation, then try uninstalling and reinstalling.

  • The operation did not complete because the disk management console view is not updated.

Disk title management error: Windows 7 original by adding a drive letter
Well, I don't know why this is happening, but if I try to add a disk to my windows system, it will not automatically add a drive letter, but it will add a drive letter to my USB and USB external drives without problem. It's just when I plug it in sata he's going all wobbly. I see the HARD internal disk in disk as a disk, but windows disk management Refuses anyway shape to add a drive letter, even with diskpart automount enabled. This is the error I get when I try:

"The operation failed to complete because the disk management console view is not updated. Refresh the view by using the refresh task. If the problem persists close the disk management console, then restart disk management or restart the computer. »

Absolutely nothing works. I tried Diskpart, acronis, AOMEI, EausUS, chkdsk, sfc/scannow, Microsoft fixit. Nothing works to get the drive Manager to add a drive letter to an internal HARD disk. Like I said, sticks and USB drives are no problem. I looked all over Google and I have not seen one solution to this problem short of a total erase and start again, and at this point, I'm not be done with everything I installed and might have to reinstall.

I have other systems that do not have this problem. Just this one windows 7 install x 64. Can anyone shed some light on why this happens and how to fix it or if there is even a fix for it.

    Thank you

Just to follow and finish this, the old MAIN drive has had some problems and was

continues to worsen, it ends up by crashed.  scannow revealed some Windows system

Files were corrupted and could not be repaired.  After the crash, I used the blank hard disc 500 gig

and did a restore of the system since the disks created with the purchase and restored the system to

"DAY 1".   Yes all the data and installed programs are missing, but I reinstalled my software.

Adding external or internal disks worked without any problem now.

I created a Windows 7/64 system repair disc.

I created an Image of the system.

    I have a backup plan.

    I do the scheduled backup.

    I learned a lesson...

  • Filed to load the disk access driver

Partition Wizard displays "Classified to load the disk access driver" after his laptop with ThinApp.

Could you please tell me how to fix this error.

I bet that the application has a device driver, used for access to / manipulate the disc. ThinApp can virtualize device drivers. Generally, disk tools are poor candidates for ThinApp. You don't want a virtualization layer between your disk tool and the disk.

  • Series of steel engine error: The SteelSeries Engine version is already installed. You want to uninstall?

    Original title:

    Steel series engine

I recently got a new computer and wanted some things from my old computer so I got an external hard drive a friend off the coast and put things on it and their transfer on, this included my Steel Series engine with my keyboard settings (color preference / macros), but when I tried to use the file had some sort of error so I deleted and tried to download a new engine to their website to find Once I tried to run, I received a message saying:

The SteelSeries engine version is already installed. You want to uninstall?

I tried to click Ok but nothing happens and when I try to install again, the same message shows. What should I do?

Hmm... Yes. You may inquire about the forums of Steelseries, but--

-Have you restarted the machine since the abolishment of the Steelseries software installation directory?

-Do you have a System Restore point before that you copied the software Steelseries on the new computer, or before you tried to run the software?

-Did empty you the folder Temp (User\AppData\Local\Temp)?

If you perform a new installation of Windows, it should have that Steelseries registry entries

(or appear in programs and features), and simply copy the program to the new machine should

Don't let not any evidence after that you deleted the installation directory...

-Unless there is some registry entries that are created when you first tried to run the software?

If there are registry entries, you should be able to find where to find where they are in the register to the

    SteelSeries forums.

Once found, deleting the keys from Steelseries should fix things (back up the registry first).

Although some things (lots of old games) can run when they are copied, other software will require drivers installed, or the registry entries made, during the installation.

If you use a picture of your old Windows installation it would be OK to just

Copy your software on a new disk (assuming that you use the same drive letter), as the registry keys, and

all parameters of all would still be intact, and the drivers installed.

Assuming that Steelseries is similar to Logitech, copy all of the program installation directory for the

new machine would not help keep your settings anyway.

-The most often, you will find the devices profile files somewhere in your user folders.

That is to say. -Logitech retains its profiles in User\AppData\Local\Logitech.

-It is also possible that there is a file of these saved profiles (.cfg - .ini, or?) which is

    the origin of your grief.

Pop all these files in a folder for backup and if you can then get the software to install, replace

the profile files created during installation with the file appropriate to your backup folder.
