The emulated mouse cursor not appearing do not.

This a bit of a unique situation, I'm in. I'm on an Acer Iconia tablet running windows 8.0 w3. (I intend to update soon). I have a program called AirKeyboard running which makes my Android tablet to act as a keyboard and a mouse. The keyboard and mouse work (Via WiFi), except, I don't SEE the cursor. I found that when I plug in a usb mouse, it appears, is logical, but since it is a software emulated mouse, it does not show the cursor. How can I manually that the cursor appears?

Hello

As you mentioned that the cursor is visible when you are using AirKeyboard request, you might face this problem because of the AirKeyboard application. I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the application AirKeyboard, and then check the issue. You can remove the AirKeyboard of your compueter by following the steps below.

Uninstall, change or repair a program

  • Screen turns off after the opening of the session. The mouse cursor only appears

Don't know where to post this, but here's my problem.

I have a Dell laptop with VISTA professional who has worked perfect for 8-9 months. Since the beginning of December I started having this problem haunting log-in where to provide the user name and password, the screen turns white (black) and I see is a mouse cursor. Nothing else appears. I can get to the hostel Monsignor task by doing a Ctrl-Alt-Delete, but a stop or restart is not the problem. I tried the safe mode or VGA mode without result. The only thing that seems to work is time. If I leave the system at the prompt to logon for 5-10 minutes, I can then connect you ok but this delay is unacceptable. It's as if there is a service that needs timeout? Any ideas on what may cause this behavior?

The behavior is also described by others here and here but none of the suggestions have solved the problem for me.

    Appreciate any help. Thank you!

You wanted to let you know the final outcome of this problem. I spent two good months of fighting through this problem and try all of the advice given. The problems have persisted. Beyond the suggestions here, there are pages on Google pages on this topic is delicate balancing sifting through the "answers".  So far, no one, including Microsoft, has been able to identify the problem or to locate a formal resolution. After having satisfied this during a road trip in 2 weeks, I have downgraded to Windows XP and wait anxiously for the release of Windows 7.

  • Possible bug found in hyperlinkctrl.c when you use the "VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR" mouse cursor in your own user interface.

Hi people, I think I found a bug in the hyperlinkctrl.c custom control, after the update/upgrade an old project CVI.

I found when I started using the "VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR" mouse in my UI, when adding a new hyperlink control.

The error is recoverable error: ' from the mouse cursor is not valid.

This error breaks in RunUserInterface (never seen anything like this before and I use CVI since version 3.1).

This happens whenever I mouse - hovering anywhere on the Panel that contains the new hyperlink control.

I also had a hack temporary to solve the problem, for now, I'll pass it along to this announcement...

The hyperlink control's source code is located in \toolslib\custctrl\hyperlinkctrl.c

The bug/problem lies in the service of reminder (of HyperLinkPanelCallback), specifically in lines 460 to 465.

This hyperlink control wants to use the VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR as its default cursor when you hover over the custom hyperlink.

However, if you already use 'VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR' in your user interface, the branch which verifies that you use what he thinks is 'his own' thread-safe mouse cursor ID, so that can reset it by using his "token concatenation" - created macro "GetTsvCursor", is not an 'else' branch to protect the picture when you actually use the cursor pointing finger... where the error that the mouse cursor is not valid. Here is the snippet of these lines.

The mouse is not over a hyperlink
    If (cursor is VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR)
    {
Reset the cursor to the previous cached cursor
    cursor = GetTsvCursor();
    errChk (SetMouseCursor (cursor));

    ... etc...

    }

So my hack was to change the type of cursor to "VAL_CHECK_CURSOR" in place and place the cursor of "VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR" in three locations in this function, then rebuilt files x 86 and x 64.

Hey Luis, finally win a free T-shirt of LabWindows/CVI with not only have reported this bug, but also to give the precise location of the source, as well as a work around?

    :^)

In the meantime, I have submitted a bug with ID #545203 report to track down this problem.

  • in 1/4 top of the window, mouse will not open items

In firefox mouse window does not open the items at the top of page 1/3 of the window. Normally arrow turns into a hand pointer. This barely 1/3 top of the open window. In the above lines items page open.

This problem can be caused by that extended the Yahoo! toolbar or extension of Babylon also well down and covers the top of the browser window and therefore links and buttons in this part of the screen not clickable.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

Replace the mouse buttons.  If it continues to fail, try a different mouse.  If another mouse works correctly then the right button is probably broken.

  • The continuous mouse cursor in the process of disappearance

If I leave the computer for too long, it is not a screen saver and will all right to say that some cable is not connected, and when I do something like press a key on the keyboard, move the mouse or press the power button, it goes back to normal except the cursor of the mouse is still missing and I can't click anything is just invisible or something , but just left and reappear only if I restart the computer. Sometimes, the cursor is there after leaving the cable not connected the thing, but then the keyboard does not, and once the cursor or keyboard worked.

My computer broke (something certain driver is not installed correctly, but I don't know that one) and I had to fix this computer for 6 months after and he always did the same thing with the keyboard, and now after she came back the cursor disappears when I leave the computer long enough that he should go to a screen saver , but go to a black screen with a blue-ish with white text bouncing around rectangle say that a cable is not connected...

Is it possible to fix this without having to restart the computer? It is extremely annoying, because it keeps installing an update each time I restart (why not simply install all updates only once instead of installing an update every time?) and it takes like an hour and then I could decide to leave to do something else and when I'll be back I was absent too long, the update completed installation and now I have to restart again because he went to the cable not connected thing and the mouse is gone again before I could even connect to the computer.

    Hello

You can run the SFC scan and check if that helps. SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary. Missing and the corruption of the operating system (like many DLLs) files are probably the main cause of the major problems of Windows.

See the following steps to perform a scan SFC:

    (a) press the Windows key + X, select the prompt (Admin) to bring up the elevated command prompt.

    (b) in the command prompt, type the following command: sfc/scannow then press ENTER.

    (c) after the scan, restart the computer and check if the problem persists.

    Thank you.

Check the drive run at Windows startup?

Thank you for details on the issue.

This message is displayed because the specified file has an invalid security ID. Each file on a NTFS or FAT volume has security what ID assigned. The ID assigned to the data file does not match the ID assigned to the security data stream file ($SDS). There is a mismatch of Ids. CHKDSK replaced the invalid security ID.

Black screen with cursor may appear due to corrupted display driver.

I suggest you try using the steps described in this article and check.

  • External USB Plug & use mouse does not

I recently bought a plug & USB mouse to use instead of the touchpad on my computer satellite phone.
After plugging USB that it loads, but then the dose of the mouse does not work.

The touchpad still work very well even with connected USB.
It is not the mouse, as I have tried in various other machines. I also tried other but still the works of touchpad mice.

From my limited knowledge the mouse appears in the player of games?
So how can I get the USB mouse works?

Would be very happy to any local computer help companies want more than 60 pounds to sort, and I don't think that it can be difficult.

    Hello

You say; the USB mouse does not only work on this laptop.
The mouse works in relation to other computers right?

First check if the mouse is compatible with your operating system.
If Yes, then you should check if your USB ports work in relation to other USB devices.
If other devices would work so I would recommend check if a driver is needed for this USB mouse but generally a form of a gaming mouse has not all drivers

  • Get the mouse cursor

Is there a way to get current mouse pointer?  I know there is a function to change, but I want to know what it is currently.

The reason for this is because I have a multicolumn listbox.  And on the mouse upward I have code that detects which column you clicked on and sorting on this column.  But I also welcome to adjust the column width.  The problem is that if you adjust the width it is also listed as a mouse to the top and will sort the column when the user did not want to do that.

My simple solution was to look at the current mouse cursor and it's one that is used to adjust the size of the column, on the mouse upward, then simply ignore the event.  Any thoughts?  Thank you.

Have you tried the method of the click column heading on get to MCLB?  It returns a - 2 when resizing the column headers

  • 3480CT Accupoint mouse does not work

I just bought this laptop for use at home as a small portable computer which can be connected to our wireless network and can be used anywhere around the House easily.

In any case, I have and the accupoint mouse does not work, any more than the mouse buttons. The person I bought said he thinks its because the correct driver is not installed.

I would really appreciate if anyone can help.

    Thanks Mark

    Hi Mark,

I see that the Web Site of Toshiba UK does not list the reader pionting device for your laptop model. So I assume that it should use the standard version of Windows XP.

Check in for your pointing device Device Manager to see if it is showing up with errors. Also, you should be able to run a troubleshooter for it and perhaps also a calibration tool. (You may need to move around with the arrow keys or tab).

If all else fails, you can try to recover your system with the recovery CD and that the pointer is still not working properly, then this would indicate a hardware fault.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite C855 - mouse does not work - keyboard freezes.

    Hello

I tried several times to call on the long waiting support phone number and no answer (queued for centuries)

I had a problem since 1 week with my laptop Toshiba as below

The trackpad (mouse) does not work despite to remove the battery, pressing f2 and FN then f9 and f10 as mentioned in various forums

Also, the keyboard is blocked completely several times - I checking also tried other things like BIOS - active trackpad

And finally we have also made the SYSTEM RESTORE to an earlier date when everything was going well on laptop

    Serial number: 2D138575R
    Model: Toshiba Satellite 2F0 C855

    Help, please!

There are a few options that you could check.
    *-> BIOS update.*
In the case where there is a new version of the BIOS of your laptop, perform the update on your device.

    *-> System restore / restore *.
You wrote above you already set the laptop to a previous data, but I'm don't think it is good enough. It s advisable to get the laptop back to factory settings.
    How?
Using the previous created recovery (disk or memory stick flash) media or using the option to drive HARD recovery (power of the device, press F12 and select HDD recovery)

Of course the HARD drive running recovery would lead to the loss of data, back up crucial data.

  • Satellite L300 - Vista - Touchpad and USB mouse does not.

    Hello

Well well after hours of trying allsorts, I post here...

Been given the laptop for repair as the touchpad no longer. No problem "I thought", simply plug a mouse usb to help me get around and re - install the touchpad... what a joke.

On the right, the USB mouse is recognized as a hid device and work, according to the Manager of devices, but not when you move it... nothing...
The Touchpad is listed as a Synaptics ps/2 touchpad and signals a Code 10 in section mouse device as well as listed as a hid and fully functional usb mouse Manager.

    Right... I have...
Listed all devices, even the hidden nonpresent (devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices) and removed everything only account of any mouse, keyboards, etc...
uninstalled the software synaptics via the program Panel.
Restarted the laptop, and it starts with the touchpad is ranked again code 10 with the version of windows drivers.
Drivers up to date using two different files of Toshiba for the touchpad, still Code 10
Still, the USB mouse does not either.

Someone enlighten me please on a fix for this...

    Hello

Really strange what s my friend because normally a touchpad driver update should solve the problem.

In any case, have you ever tried to use the Toshiba Recovery disk? Maybe it s just a software problem and a few important Windows files are destroyed or don t work properly. Reinstall Windows using the recovery disk Toshiba takes only a few minutes and there are already all the drivers and tools integrated. With these parameters (factory settings), the touchpad should work properly, and if not the touchpad or the motherboard needs to be replaced maybe.

    Good bye

  • Satellite A100-062 - USB mouse does not work

    Hello

    I have a Satellite A100-062.

I've never been able to get a USB mouse to work with her.
The OS is Vista Home Premium, whenever I have plug in a USB mouse, the operating system detects a device has been connected to the USB port, but eventually the message material has not installed successfully.

So I have to rely on the touchpad, the problem seems to be limited to mice only, I've successfully used a USB webcam without incident.
I tried several USB mouse with the machine exclude a problem with my original mouse.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

    Thank you

    > So I have to rely on the touchpad, the problem seems to be limited to the mouse only, I have successfully used a USB webcam without incident.
Looks like a problem with the USB mouse and not with the laptop or with USB ports
I would recommend testing different mouse and using the other.
